I currently own five sets of paddle shift extensions for my MK6, these being one of them.
My issues with these were that they don't really "cup" the factory paddles like some of the other sets. The ones that you posted for the MK7 rely on screws to anchor them to the paddles, which is great for stability. Unfortunately for us MK6 guys, they adhere with tape, which leads to them just kind of hanging on there. I've found that the paddles flex too much if you grab them too far towards the top or bottom.
That aside, they look great, and have a nice feel/heft to them because they are aluminum, but for me the flexing was a deal breaker.
If you decide to go for them this is where I bought mine.
These are very popular, but a little on the thick side (for me personally), so when I would pull the stalk for the rear wiper or high beam, the stalk would nearly touch the shifter.
I found these, which are exactly like the ones in the last link, but they are a one-piece design which makes them much thinner. They "cup" the paddles and have almost zero flex. They are the ones I currently have on my car, and are easily my favorite out of all the ones I've been through. They're actually make by the same company you linked to in your post, Pinalloy.
If you have any other questions, let me know! I'm happy to help!
Really, the only thing I recommend you have on hand at the delivery is the screen protector. I bought this one and have been happy with it.
You probably also want to have some sort of USB storage device for your dashcam/sentry mode. This could be a USB thumbdrive, SSD, Harddrive, or SD card (with adapter). As long as it has a decent amount of memory and a decent read/write speed and is USB. You'll need to format it FAT32 for the car to recognize it.
As for other accessories, most people on here choose to wrap their center consoles. It comes with a piano black finish which looks really nice but scratches and shows fingerprints really easily. I suggest the Kenriko center console wraps. They have tons of colors/finishes from matte black to white, to carbon fiber.
After that it is up to you. There are TONs of products that you can use to modify your Model 3. Personal favorites of mine so far are the extra door seals that keep out dirt and slightly reduce wind noise. The aluminum pedals are a really nice touch if you don't have a performance model. All-weather floor mats are really nice. I have the 3D MaxSpider ones but I've heard really good things about the Tuxmats. The wireless chargers for your phone are a good accessory as well.
Common upgrades:
EDIT: formatting
Not sure why I can't seem to link to the post in the app, can only copy the text, so here it is from another thread. Hopefully it copies ok.

As requested, here are my pics of both the white console wrap and the white steering wheel wraps. I was initially worried about getting the white interior, but now it's my fave part of the cars look. I have the black exterior with white interior...call it Venom and am loving every minute of this car ("almost" makes me wish my commute was longer than 15 mins...haha).

Great minds think alike, Parkie. I ordered those things for one of the PWP in our support group.
We didn't try the seat belt helper you linked, but now that I see it I think that could be a big help to him.
The standing assist was a hit--it helps a lot getting out of the car. It's also called a car cane.
The swivel seat didn't work for him because he was too tall--it's about 1.5 inches high and he didn't have enough headroom. Swivel seats come in differing heights, so check that out if anyone here is interested in trying one.
Something else you might want to check out is a rigid seat belt extender. The one I linked is for Jeep Cherokees, so do a search for your own car model. This extends the seat belt connector 8 inches up in the air, so now the PWP can connect his own seat belt. Before this, his wife would have to crawl over him to do up the seatbelt.
I'm wondering if anyone has rigged their car up with a seat like this? The whole seat swivels, the lowers down to the ground so the PWP just has to sit down like a regular chair.

Do this as soon as you can. The a.c. puts out a lot of water, so keeping it off the frame to avoid rusting for a few dollars is something everyone should do.
Toyota Tacoma Center Console Organizer (2016 - Present) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016ZB4VZC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_yMJH8ohGfbLuX just got this in an it's already such a useful addition.
Husky makes a great pair of floor liners (not just floor mats) really keeps your floors in perfect condition.
Other add ons include in channel window deflectors if they interest you, and a bed mat.
I've had mine since 8/30 and love it. Over 550 miles on it already lol. Done the first three already. Will be holding off for a while on other changes.
My tips would be to try driving a smaller or a more compact car. I find they have a better turning radius, thus are much easier to parallel park, getting into tight corners, navigating through tight spaces, etc. Also try replacing your rear view mirror with a wider one like one of these: Fit System RM011 Clip-on Wide Angle Rear View Mirror https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001A0J2JO/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_hYf-wbBME5VY5
I use this particular 18 inch mirror that just clips on to your existing mirror. This gives you a much bigger field of vision of what's behind you when your driving, and you can see your blindspots and everything! It just feels much more safer, thus making you feel more confident when driving..
Having a backup camera can help you alot too. I mainly use mine for parallel parking because it's sometimes hard to judge the distance between the back of my car and the front of the car behind me.
You can also try investing in brighter LED headlights for your car if you don't have them already. Or turn on your fog lights as well. I know, driving at night can be dangerous especially when it's hard to read the road signs or see the street lines, especially if your not familiar with the roads. Just remember, if its really hard to see at night and there are no cars around you, feel free to use your high beams! That's what they are there for. Just make sure you don't have them on if there is a car coming in front of you because you can seriously blind the hell out of them lol. I deliver food as part of my job so I am always driving and exploring new areas, driving at night is always much harder..
Not the answer you're looking for, but something I have found VERY useful given my height (6'5"). Not just in my Promaster, but my other car as well, I would always have to scrunch down to see stoplights .... very annoying and uncomfortable over time. This has made a HUGE difference:
LightInSight Specialized Windshield Lens: hhttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K31M554
I have a Promaster and I have found it to be reasonably comfortable to drive. I feel your pain. Best of luck in your search!
A few amazon recommendations:
XR Charging port cover: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B072Z41BT9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
This one stays on pretty well. I pretty much only put it on if there's a possibility of a rain shower on my way.
XR Power Button cover: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01ISNX7LO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
These don't stay on as well as the Charge Port covers, but they get the job done for possibly rainy ridge, and they're cheap enough to not worry if one falls off during a spill.
Cheap but effective handle: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00RPBA606/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
This is the handle I ended up going with. It works well, though it does slide a little down the rails. So it's not always level when you pick it up. (It was on sale when I bought it.)
For a more crafty person, I'd just get some paracord and use one of the guides in this subreddit to create your own handle.
You can always go the ghetto route and use an old tube, but I'd recommend clear helicopter tape. Don't bother with bike specific tape, it's a huge ripoff. Buy this: http://smile.amazon.com/dp/B003BZO05C
This is what I use for all my bikes and it works really well. A 30 ft. roll is plenty to protect multiple bikes; you won't be fucked if you mess up because you'll probably have another 25 ft. of tape left. Also, buy a small squeegee and a spray bottle if you don't have these already. It will make applying the tape a breeze.
Yes, great trick.
ProTip: Heat up sticky with lighter WITH red covering on, then peel it off and stick to clean surfaces. This prevents all the black chemicals from being on the avtual adhesive which could diminish the effectiveness. Also dont overheat it.
If doing on cars with decals, or nice paint jobs use some helicopter tape between sticky and surface. But its pricey. https://www.amazon.com/Allstar-Performance-ALL14275-Clear-Surface/dp/B003BZO05C?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_1
I dont use it on my shoei 600$ helmet but have on many cars with decals and vinyl logos and such.
Good luck.
I have speakers that are not quite that big, but still large, taped to my toolbox at work. I use the 3M Automotive Tape since we have tons of it on hand. It's double-sided foam tape and it's super sticky. Also how I had my license plate mounted to my car for a while there.
They've held up so far, and I'm sure in a climate controlled bedroom, the tape would last much longer. I wouldn't worry about them falling off, unless you had massive home theater speakers on there...
I did it in an afternoon. Technically its not complex, the riveting is interesting, but doable with a youtube tutorial. I followed this tutorial for the entire project. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lV_3HJt2_Uk
I would recommend having a friend because stretching the new material is difficult to do on your own. I would also recommend buying a roof with a rain rail installed, as I can imagine it would be a pita.
Finally it took a while for me for my fabric to be pliable enough to get the rain rail fastened in. I actually tightened it first without the metal rails that hold in place, and then as it heated up with the sun I was slowly but surely able to get it completely on.
This is the one I got https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FKHDYZK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and its been fairly nice for about a month now.
If you are buying it with the frame, it would be a cake walk
P3D- all the way. If you don't plan on actually tracking the car (or intend to go like, once or twice), there's honestly no need for performance brakes, performance wheels, and performance suspension. Just leads to more money at replacement time, more pothole potential, and more scraping potential. Stealth gets you the important benefits of Performance for a fraction of the price.
I ordered a P3D- and I have Pedal Covers to take care of all the functional aspects I care about.
3M auto tape has a double back adhesive and is pretty resilient to most operating temperatures. Best to apply on a clean surface during a warm day or blow dry it in place.
Hey, glad you liked it. I used this. Was super cheap and very easy to put in place. You'll need a steady hand and some patience but overall it's not too hard. If you check my other submissions here, you'll see I did the front bumper, side fender badges, and mirrors with this same tape. Just take your time, use wax / grease remover, and clean the area with isopropyl alcohol before laying it down.
Well...here's all the stuff I bought on my Amazon list lately. Does that help?

Annnnnnnnnnd I'm just now seeing you were talking about the 2nd Gen...
I beg to differ... for $30 this is one of the cheapest mods I have done and was very quick and easy to install. Forget about noise dampening for a moment. The doors sound much more solid during close and give a nice sort of pop when opening. Door sill will stay nice and clean. Sorry for the late reply, it’s a great bumper and really cheap. Came in perfect condition, all hardware was there, paint looked good. Took about an hour to take the stock off, 20-30 min to put the new one on
First of all, nice job swapping IRS in to your '96
> I've had my Mustang long enough to see it go from "Oh my god, I can't see out of this thing!" to "Oh my god, it's so open and airy in here!"
I felt the same way initially with my Mustang, but then I installed this wide mirror. Works wonders on rearview visibility (just make sure to strengthen your rearview mirror's balljoint - it's a heavy mirror):

Should not be a referral link, just a straight share from Amazon App.
I've always like the yellow fog lamps/covers, so I may go that route if I don't add LED DRL to them.
I did add the lip. I had something flip up from the highway and gutted the guard that is usually under the front bumper and it made for a bit of an eye sore when you looked at the front end since you still saw where it clipped in. I ordered that off of Amazon. It's literally just a heavy duty foam/plastic that has really good 3M tape. Here's the link.

I got this one on amazon with new rain rail pre-installed for $255, free shipping. Looks great! https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07FKHDYZK?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
Hmm interesting concept. I could probably achieve something similar via different means.
For me I used hockey tape (nice matte black fabric like tape) and taped my Razer Firefly wire to itself, and ran it and my mouse cable (with some slack for movement) under my keyboard, then taped all 3 together and ran it to the back of my desk under my sound bar so it "looks" like only a single large cable going to the back of the desk.
Underneath I have a surge protector and a usb hub stuck with double-sided 3M automotive adhesive (I use this stuff for everything). and then these in expensive adhesive J-channel cable race for wires.
I also got rid of my center support leg in exchange for a heavy duty shelf bracket.

I am 6' 3" and sit tall, so I ended up getting a mini with no sunroof for the extra headroom (more than in my Volkswagen Tiguan!). Leg room is great! Both for length and width (knee spacing).
If you don't want to lean forward at stop lights, which is something I had to do about half the time in my Tiguan too, you can get something like this: LightinSight
I got one for my mini, and it works great for me.
Can you find out the type of bulb it is.You are going to have to do some researching. Why not post a picture of the bulb or does it have markings? There should be a model number on the bulb. Once you have a model number check ebay and select USA only. You might have some luck. I am curious myself. I couldn't find anything after searching.
For the type being why not wire up a cheap handle bar clamp dual sport light or something like that. This one is prime so you can get it in a few days and get back on the road. Even a cheap replacement headlight would work.

I used this product. It went on easier than I expected.
Yeah, thanks for confirming. I've heard that before... I have a friend who has never shut his down (for many years). I guess they're made to run all the time. Two of the bags had the names swapped. So that was fun. But they come with a qr code for each step which links to a youtube video. 1st step took 20 min. The rest was done in 10. So 30 min to figure it out and install. Mine might just be better then the rest. I don't know. Just sick of seeing the.
Thank you! I often stare at that ass also when I walk away
I love the eyesight, it's something I didn't think I would need, but after having it, I can't live without it. I use it frequently on the freeway. Only caution I would throw in is if you know there's traffic, don't rely on eyesight's breaking, because it sometimes catches completely stopped traffic a tad late, and breaks really hard. When it accelerates, it tends to accelerate pretty hard too.
I typically throw on the adaptive cruise control and lane guard and cruise on the freeway.
I bought this tape for the red trims.

I ended up purchasing a grab handle for jeeps/off roading rigs. One of the best purchases I’ve made for my OW; it makes lugging it around more like a suitcase.

18's on a NA are about the equivalent of 26's on a Caprice.
The day after I bought my car, a hard top popped up for $750 about 2 hours away. It sold before I had time to check it out, and I haven't seen another below $1200.
Best bet for now, would probably be to just get a cheapo soft top to get you by until you come across a decent hard top.
I don't have this, but have seen people recommend it. Seems about the cheapest you are going to find with a preinstalled rain rail
I was concerned about that too since I love listening to music and appreciate the quiet cabin. It’s a bit louder than the aeros but I haven’t found it to be annoying. I also bought this kit to get back some of the quiet and it made a little difference but still not as quiet as the aeros:
https://www.amazon.com/BASENOR-Soundproof-Rubber-Weather-Reduction/dp/B07R13DYYY/ref=gwm_tlc_pi?pf_rd_s=blackjack-personal-1&pf_rd_t=Gateway&pf_rd_i=mobile&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=VEKTZVMWME85X2TEAQ0W&pf_rd_p=1dfcfc84-3ad7-4be1-8cf4-d1dd1de5a0dc&pd_rd_i=B07R13DYYY
It’s very dependent on the road. If you do 85 miles an hour (typical Bay Area fast lane), and the road isn’t great it will be noticeable.
I totally agree with you on the storage, I went this route (Catch Caddy 100-CC-MC24 Car Seat Catcher, Organizer https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0182QDLFE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_ilkxyb2S8TQME) on my 16 First with Recaros. Seems to work pretty well for phone and other small items, and keeping junk from falling down into the void. You can only really use the front portion however.
Been wanting to do something similar using EZ Lip. Looks pretty good for the price!
Not sure if yours came with them but any kind of weather tech or husky floor mats are a lifesaver! Also for center console organizer I got the vehicle OCD organizer.

Most of what you'd see in that price range is no-name Chinese steel bumpers such as EAutoGrills(EAG), Restyling Factory, etc. There's a ton of them on Amazon or Ebay. I have no particular complaints about them; the welds aren't the cleanest but they're typically as beefy as you'd want and hit the functionality for value mark.
You mentioned no preference on style, but I think you should make the decision to either protect the fenders or leave the open wheel look. Narrow it down from there.
Note that a steel bumper will add 55-80 pounds forward of your wheels, and a steel cable winch another 80 pounds. All that weight will definitely cause the front end to sag. A couple of pucks from a leveling kit helps, but the real fix for that is upgraded springs. Keep those in mind if you're thinking about the total price of a steel bumper and winch.
If you want an easy way to increase your situational awareness, spend $9 on a clip-on wide-angle mirror.
If you want to be more hardcore, spend $19 on a 5-panel mirror, which doesn't distort distances.
This is the one I got, pretty easy to find using some search words:

Mine was messed up when I purchased my unisaw. I'm pretty elecricaly savvy, and after looking into all the parts I needed, contactors, relays, flux capacitors, etc. I just canned it in favor of one of these
Simple, cheap and it works well. You just have to remember, if the power goes out, don't sit on the blade until the power comes back on--or just hit the off switch.
Order the tray and the organizer at the same time and save 20%. I have both, worth every penny!
Alternatively, I can HIGHLY recommend this Fresnel lens. You use a little water to stick it to the top of your windshield, and it saves your neck from that bending.
Maybe a portable car handle?

Comes in different widths and lengths. It's similar to putting a screen protector on your cell phone and will resist dents/marks/etc. I currently have it on my downtube, chain/seatstays, and a few other places to keep the frame protected.

One thing you didn't mention that might be worth considering is one of those big, police style rear view mirrors:

I've not tested one of these but it sounds worth at least considering given the circumstances you describe.

This is the stuff used in GoPro mounts and you can find it at any auto parts store or Home Depot - maybe even Wal-Mart.
It held my GoPro onto the side of my bike doing 180 down the back straight of COTA so I would think it'll hold some LED strips on, plus it doesn't leave a nasty residue when you remove it with some rubbing alcohol and dental floss.
I view the paint as the protector for the frame. But, if you're interested in protecting that, too, put helicopter tape over the paint.
It is a handle that you put into a car door jamb to help get in and out of the car.
Edit: it also has a seat belt cutter and glass breaker.

If it's the touchless kind then yeah. I used this 3M adhesive to install them and it's insanely strong.
The car washes with big brushes would probably scratch the hell out of them just like they do to your paint. You really shouldn't use those things.
That happened when we put that rubber stopper up there. Didn't help the noise. But know that apparently water doesn't get in there either as told to is by Tesla service. But what did help actually was putting rubber around the door using this kit. It's unnoticeable since ours is black/black. And doesn't look discombobulated when you open your doors.

There are many avaialble on the market. The ones for Model S / X will fit on a model 3, but the break pedal is about a half inch wider. If I were to buy new aluminum pedals today, I would probably buy this one:

My first thought (although a somewhat off-label use) would be 3m VHB trim and molding tape like this: https://www.amazon.com/3M-3614-15/dp/B002JOVUO0. As long as both surfaces are perfectly clean (as in wipe them down with alcohol before applying), I'd be shocked if it didn't hold up as least as well as whatever the holder came with. It's fairly ridiculous stuff.
I'd go with something like that being somewhat flexible over an epoxy of any sort, the flexibility might help it last longer. I would bet that 3M 5200 would work as well (it's a marine adhesive sealant) but it'd be more of a PITA to work with than the VHB tape.
It looks like with a bit of cleaning and replacing the start stop button with a new start/stop paddle switch you will be all set.
The replacement switch is cheap too: $17 http://www.amazon.com/Woodstock-D4151-220-Volt-Paddle-Switch/dp/B005W17FRS
3M body moulding adhesive. Just plan on setting aside plenty of time if you ever want to remove the lightstrip.
This is the one I got from Amazon. Not sure how the OEM spoiler is shaped on the underside as mine is a different aftermarket spoiler, but this size should work for you. There are videos on YouTube you can check out for prepping and tips on applying it.
First of all RGB LEDs are three colors that you can mix to produce most colors. If you just want white light you don't want RGB LEDS.
I bought one of these as a headlight but other come in just about any size you need. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00G620ZVU

Works wonders assuming the Model 3 has a door latch in the right spot.

Why are people downvoting this ?
I'm currently considering getting this

I use polyurethane tape. Not a lot of protection against bashing but I just ride XC so need light protection.

Not really a mod, but the first thing I bought was a Vehicle OCD tray that fits in the center console and makes it a little more functional instead of a massive endless void, along with some console dividers. It's the little things!
Also got a Toyota logo hitch plug and WeatherTech mats for the front and back seats.

Not sure how to post a pic for you (currently at work and on mobile) but the lights are these: https://www.amazon.com/Nilight-Driving-Mounting-Bracket-Warranty/dp/B00G620ZVU
I recommend getting a wide angle rear view mirror. It's physically about twice as wide as a standard mirror, and it lets you see out of your side windows through your central mirror. The remaining blind spots are very small.
e.g.
https://www.amazon.com/Fit-System-RM011-Clip-Mirror/dp/B001A0J2JO/
Not usually.
In NY state I have a restriction on my drivers license that says I have to be wearing my hearing aides or have a full length rear-view mirror (or blind-spot mirror).
When I first started driving I had one. I used to get reminded of it all the time because passengers would not realize and hit their head on it while getting in to my hatchback. It's really not a bad thing to have regardless of hearing impairment or not, you can see everything behind you.
I believe the noise is created when the reverse lockout ring makes contact with the inside of the shift knob. I took off my shift knob and placed some foam tape on the inside of it to absorb the vibration and I have no more noise.
This is what I used.

Oh, that thing. Use some 3M automotive trim tape to stick it back on. Glue is not going to work well and make a mess of your frame.

Here are the lights, not street legal probably. I usually only use them on back roads at night when there are no cars in front of me.

All my cars did this. Unfortunately for you and me, its most noticeable on white cars mostly as the dirt blends into darker colors.
I installed these on mine and it does help quite a bit with the dirt. amazon.com/BASENOR-Soundproof-Rubber-Weather-Reduction/dp/B07R13DYYY. Side effect is you now have to close the doors with a little more force, especially the back ones.
You could add the red strip to the lower front face and the back ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00029XBBE/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ). It does look a lot sportier. You can also plasti dip all the chrome. Those are the only way I can think of not involving a louder exhaust.
The wind noise and the reverse camera delay are my two biggest complaints. Reverse camera delay is software related so that will likely get fixed in the coming months.
I have purchased both this basenor wind reduction kit and this wind guard which seem to help a little but I think most of the noise is coming through the front windshield somehow.

Try these! They really work! I got them for my wife's car because she used to drop her phone down there all the time.
3M. Do NOT use super glue!!!
This tape will work too. Also available in 1/2 inch. Follow the instructions to the letter.
I'd hate to have a saw start spinning if I leaned over the table and hit the pedal accidentally, or at any point really.
