yay dachshund stuff! This is the iron door stopper I'm using. I just painted it in like 12 coats of paint to make it pretty and silvery. It would probably look really good in like a matte blue or orange too.

I would buy a good pair of shoes for my son. Most people don't realize how damaging modern shoes are to our feet, with their tiny toe boxes and weird curves & padding. It's hard to find shoes that are actually good (or rather, not damaging) for our feet, and the ones that are available are super expensive. So I would love to be able to spend $30 and get something I can feel good about him wearing on his feet. Wide toe box, flat, and super flexible!

Maybe try getting some squeaky shoes. Neither of my toddlers have really given us too much hassle over walking, but it does happen from time to time. However, when they wear their squeaky shoes, they are on an entire adventure of their own and love to walk. Bonus: it’s freaking adorable and you aren’t gonna loose them.

Pro tip, get ones that can have the squeaky function turned off easily so you don’t go insane. While adorable, it does have its limits.

Of course I want the stuff from my "QQPugla can dream" WL like a PS4, the Star Wars Wampa rug for my son's nursery, and the big lego sets.

However, the item from my wishlist I want the most is these tennis shoes from my "kiddos" WL for my daughter because she grew like two shoe sizes what seemed overnight, and she currently does not have any tennis shoes that fit. Plus, these are super cool looking!

I haven't found any grippy socks that I like yet. My son isn't bothered at all by anything on his feet unless it's grippy socks, which he now pulls off instantly.

I know you said you don't want to use shoes yet, but are you just opposed to hard soled shoes - or all shoes? I ask because Robeez are still my go-to for indoor play on slick surfaces (like my parents' hardwood floors). They have a soft leather bottom and unstructured body, so just a tad thicker than grippy socks would be, yet they still allow free movement of the foot and full sensory for early walkers.

My son started walking at 10 months and started wearing his Robeez at 12 months. He still wears the same pair at 17 months. When we're out and about he wears converse, but if he's indoors or running a quick errand (and I know he's going to be carried the whole time) I grab the Robeez.
