They have cooling seat cushions that you can use. I don't know anything about that product but i use similar tech in my favorite pillow and i love it.
I have a desktop too.. but a decent gaming laptop was a very good investment because I knew I couldn't sit all the time. It doesn't need to be very high end, there are some simple graphics games that are good.

Just echoing what the other guys have said, back off the SS at least for a bit and make sure you're stretching a lot. More than you think you need to. The reason your back is sore is probably partly due to your job if you're sitting for the majority of that time (in addition to time spent commuting). Could you maybe try getting a different office chair and seeing if that helps? My boyfriend's had that issue in the past and getting a butt pillow (these), as we call them, has usually helped things as well.

I have to be posture-conscious, also. But damn those airplane and car seats that force your spine to curve forward. It becomes painful whether you're resisting the bad form or giving in. and it made my life at least 83% better. The only problem I have with this particular one is how tall it is. If I could do it over again I would probably try and get one that didnt make me feel like a giant when I was sitting on it in my car.

I actually got these about 15 years ago when I first hurt my back and I'm still using the original set, so I can vouch for the quality (assuming they still make them the same way of course). Although they spent a lot of that time in a box.
Sounds like coccydynia.
Take ibuprofen or acetaminophen as needed for pain, assuming you have no medical conditions (e.g. kidney or liver problems) which make them unsafe to take.
You can also try buying a "Donut" cushion (pillow with a hole in the center) or a "wedge" cushions (pillow with a wedge-shaped section cut out of the back) for while you are at work. If after a week or so it is still present then see a primary care physician.

I’ve got lower back issues from an accident years ago. It always got aggravated when I fly, until my doctor recommended I use this. My doc said airplane seats are absolutely awful for your lower back and it’s common for people without injury histories to pull their backs after flights.
It’s expensive, but worth it. My back hasn’t acted up post-flight since.
