I am not married yet, but I purchased this ring as my wedding band for $45. It matches my engagement ring, I’m happy with the quality, and like the fact that I was able to return it for free to make sure I got the right size. I don’t need anything too flashy, and I keep telling myself I can always upgrade to something more expensive if and when we have the funds to do so in the future.

If you’re happy with something understated that allows your e-ring to stand out, I think it’s a great option!

I was suggesting on another post the thin cotton gloves - can get on amazon and I think would work well with thumb/finger pickers. Put some lotion on and glove over it at night as well to help healing process.

The ring I have on my index finger and can spin it with my thumb and that spinner has a nice weight to it and spins super easy just holding between thumb and a finger - these are two that have been the most helpful so far as far as calm hand gadgets

Real opal... You mean natural? Precious opal (gemstone quality) is very rare... far rarer than diamonds. They are also heat sensitive, have a propensity to craze, and are soft (5). Merely cleaning it will scratch it's surface and they shouldn't be worn very often. I don't think you'll find a natural opal ring for that price as just the stones sell anywhere from hundreds to thousands depending on color, clarity, cut, and size.

Solid stone synthetic vs terrible fake? I would stay away from the blue ones. Stay away from things that have black backings or sandwiched between crystal/glass (triplets or doublets). But it is largely going to be what you want. I have this and this synthetic opal rings. While both are solid stones, the quality of the second is better, but the former is more durable for day-to-day wear (has a plastic top coating to protect scratching). I have synthetics from higher end places as well, and I see no difference between them and the second one I posted. I have found that Amazon collection, in general, is a pretty decent place to buy them.

Other good places for synthetics will be at named stores (Kays, BlueNile, Jared, etc) or high end (designers, local jewelers, really nice sellers on etsy)

This is the weighted blanket that my mom got me for Christmas. It has the weight guidelines too. Mine is 25lbs and my sister's is 20lbs. I absolutely love it. Also, the same company has corresponding duvet covers for them to keep them easy to clean. I just got a simple cotton one, but they also have minky ones and whatnot.

Also - this is one of the best fidget toys I've ever found. It comes in more masculine colors too, but it's basically a fidget ring. I put it on my forefinger and spin it with my thumb. I love that it's discreet, doesn't make noise, and is easy to use.

I don't have a working camera at the moment to take pics with, but I do have the websites where I got my rings.

This looks very similar to my engagement ring.. It's simple and inexpensive silver & garnet because I wasn't really planning on wearing it anymore after the wedding.

And here is my awesome wedding band. As much as I liked the engagement ring, I've had to kind of stop wearing it because it rips through gloves and gets stuck on things like crazy. My wedding ring is nice and low profile and also really neat looking, so it suites my needs nicely.

Well, there are these in practically every color. Also this but I don't know how well that would hold up.

It might not be a marvel of ring making expertise, but silver is pretty respectable, and it'll look good as long as you're not putting it under a loupe.

It is my understanding that a woman wears her engagement ring and wedding band as a set. Sometimes women get them put together into a single ring. Men usually just wear the wedding band.

Thinking about things like everyday wear and ring/stone toughness are things you should look into when purchasing jewelry. Cheap materials will wear quickly and look worn. However, no need to sell the farm for durable and attractive rings.

I think the importance of rings are really up to the couple. For my husband and I, they were of low importance. We wanted to exchange them in our ceremony but we don't wear them daily.
If cost is a concern, know that there are plenty of cheap alternatives.
This is my engagement ring. He spent less than $500 on it and I love it! Our saving went to a down payment on a house.
This is my wedding band (but I don't wear it often... so grain of salt with that one). However, if you want something a little more durable, this probably won't break the bank.
And this is my husband's wedding band.

Altogether, including the fact that I have two of each of our band, we spent $510 on rings.

Also if either you or your fiancée have a job that involves heavy machinery or power tools, de-gloving is a real concern with ring wearers so rings might be a no go altogether.

Rings with an extra piece that spins, I got mine at Irish Fest here in Dallas but they have plenty of them online. this one looks interesting, I have ones like this

I find myself spinning it all the time while I'm on class, just talking to people, and it's always there since it's on your hand and you don't have to dig in a pocket for it, just have to be careful not to leave it laying around somewhere if you take it off, just do a google search for spinner rings or spinning rings and there are plenty you can buy online if you know your ring sizes.

I got a cheapo spinning ring on amazon a couple years ago (I literally paid $1 or so for it) and it did help me. It lasted me quite a while, but since it's cheap you could buy a couple to stock up in case any others get damaged :) I'll see if I can find the link

Here's one I bought for Amazon, it comes in rose gold and black and it's no where near as delicate as the Taylor Swift one. It doesn't have the gems all over it and doesn't adjust but it's super cute and way cheaper.

I leg bounce incessantly, but I don't recommend it. My muscle tone is superb, but some days it fucking hurts.

Fidget spinners help. This fidget ring seems delightfully subtle. I've been wanting to try the fidgipod, also, as you can put it on or under your desk.
