Get something like this or the many varieties of corner tension shelves. They will give you tons of storage and hanging spots and might leave a mark on the ceiling, but super easy to fix.

u/turkeypants · 2 pointsr/AskCulinary

This happens to me sometimes. I have gone to using plastic organizer containers in the cabinet with my most used things, so I take them in and out together that way and the cabinet is protected from stuff like that, and it's easy to clean up.

This is what I bought...

Bring S Hooks, hanging mesh organizers, and zip ties!! Use the horizontal bars on the side of the tent to hang infinite stuff. Something like this helps corral sunscreen, hair products, underwear, misc whatever! And they’re easily packable if you’re flying in like we are. The hooks that come w these don’t fit over the side bar of the tent so just bring a pack or zip ties.

Apparently reddit didn't like my first post, so let me try again.

Yes, that is definitely water damage. First thing is to get some tub splash guards to help prevent water from splashing out of the tub.

Regarding the drywall repair (rather, replacing, which is all that really can be done to fix it, at this point), you can certainly DIT it, depending on how handy you are. However, it's a pretty tough patch job, considering it runs behind the tub, and is caulked in. It's also on a corner, so there will be corner bead to remove as well. Then you have to be able to replace what you have removed and tape it. If you aren't comfortable with complicated drywalling and taping, I'd call someone.

Congrats! Where are you going to school?
I would recommend this for transporting your stuff back & forth to the shower dorms and some shower shoes because if your dorms are anything like mine were they are nasty.
Would you like a falafel with that?

u/abstractem · 1 pointr/homeowners

I just bought this one from Amazon a few weeks ago. Shower Caddy Not the cheapest, but sturdy. I love it so far!

u/Keykatriz · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Are you going to be in the kind of dorm with a shared bathroom? If so, a shower caddy like this is really useful to lug around all your stuff. Maybe stop at Costco before going too and get snacks. Obviously won't last forever, but they're nice to have around.

u/[deleted] · 1 pointr/AdviceAnimals

Don't worry! I'm here to help! You could get something like this. Although a custom made one specifically for beer would be the sweetest fuckin thing ever.

u/kitty_rootbeer · 1 pointr/HomeImprovement

Maybe not large or nice enough, but this works great for us. - OXO Good Grips Stronghold Suction Fogless Mirror https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071WMZTZH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_1rLXDb1G4YDRT

You pour hot water into the back each time so it can’t really fail like regular shower mirrors with some iffy claim to foglessness. A setup like this could be an alternative to an electric heated one.

u/emilycorinn · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

this is a must for the shower, so your not going back and forth and dropping everything. good luck

u/Flopcandy · 3 pointsr/Redskins

Pretty surprising you haven't started yet tbh, I'm already in my 4th week out here!

Nevertheless, absolute must haves for me:

  • Whiteboard/markers (hang on wall- easy way to keep track of stuff. You wake up & it's all right there in front of you, no need to open a computer/login/do all that.)

  • Bulletin board + 3 hole puncher (i.e. pin important papers, hole punch loose papers into binders)- organized & space on your desk! (At least, this is what works for me

  • Cleaning wipes- stuff gets real filthy real fast

  • FUCKING FEBREZE. There's no telling what kinda smells you'll have to deal with.

  • If possible, noise cancelling headphones. Your roommates/floormates might snore. They might be annoying as fuck. You might not want to deal with them all the time. So with noise cancelling headphones, you get a place where you're guaranteed to sprawl out and be by yourself in your own little world.

  • Shower caddy- easy transport since you probably don't have your own bathroom. Also shower slippers because college shower floors... shudders

  • Small fan- helps w/ temperature regulation (unpredictable af and uncomfortable temperatures really bother me)

I'm sure there's a lot more but this is just off the top of my head. Hope this helps!

A shower caddy may come in handy :) Would you like a falafel with that?

u/unicornpixie13 · 11 pointsr/polyamory

This is awesome! My shower had like 3 tiny shelves and the little shower caddy thing ALWAYS FALLS drives me crazy so I recently got this shelf:

u/Cocoricou · 1 pointr/ZeroWaste

I keep mine in the shower, you will wet it anyway so I don't see the problem with that. The important thing is to store it in a way that it will allow it to dry between uses. Mine is a metal grid. It looks a little bit like that: https://www.amazon.ca/InterDesign-Bathroom-Shower-Shampoo-Conditioner/dp/B002S0NP70/ref=sr_1_56?ie=UTF8&qid=1526515152&sr=8-56&keywords=metal+shower+caddie

u/bwlcs · 1 pointr/wicked_edge

Something like this would give you enough room for shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, razor, brush, soap...

View of the spaces available

Not the most compact of items.

There's also something like this with various places for holding bottles and even a towel.

Things for relaxing: Lavender $15.99, Bath Caddy $14.97, Muslin Bags $7.49 and finally Chocolate $10.48 all items are located on RAoA list

I am trying to build a rack for orchids in my shower. The shower is tile, and I would prefer not to actually have to drill in to the tile at this point. The shower currently has a 22" towel rod that we don't use that I was thinking of hanging something from. Preferably something more attractive than a simple wire basket. I was thinking of hanging it with some sort of chain/carabiner combination. Obviously everything needs to be able to handle the shower, so stainless steel or other rust-free metals is a must.

Any suggestions on items, and how to hang the item in an attractive manner?

I like the look of this thing https://www.amazon.com/Kes-Bathroom-Stainless-RUSTPROOF-BSC205S40A-2/dp/B07285BQGP?th=1, but it would be impractical to hang off a chain I think.

u/elguapo1991 · 33 pointsr/meirl

In a similar fashion, I have a suction-cup item holder in my shower (something like this), and once every couple months it loses suction randomly and crashes to the floor with everything in it.

Something about the bathtub amplifies the sound, so if it happens at night it sounds like a plane just crashed into your house. That's the closest I've ever been to a heart attack.

u/vurplesun · 5 pointsr/reddit.com

Move your soap.

Something like this will do the trick.

u/lazydaysjj · 1 pointr/SkincareAddiction

Amazon has some small shelf sets you could use. I also use a suction cup shower caddy thing attached to my mirror that will hold ~4 things. You could also get one of these.

u/ckilgore · 2 pointsr/HomeDecorating

We had the same issue and I got one of these handy guys to hang on the bar.

u/Gertiel · 1 pointr/AskReddit

Might I suggest a shower caddy?

>The first feminine product appearing in the garbage absolutely does not mean shove chocolate down someone's throat and run away screaming.

Of course not. Some people are allergic to chocolate! Ok, kidding.

Seriously, though, don't let girls tell you period is an excuse to get out of chores. Most chores CAN be put off by a day or two if whomever drew that chore that week is having a bad day/feeling under the weather/cramping. Unless someone's in the hospital, they can contribute something. It may take them longer, that's all.

Do consider some sort of a job exchange plan. There are loads of ways to assign those chores which must be done around the house. Drawing from the job jar. Rotation. Whatever you pick, pick something. Don't leave it to volunteers, for certain. That's a sure way for the person with the worst neat freak to end up doing all the work. And hating everyone else for it. This is just not fair. The only other somewhat fair alternative I've seen is if everyone will agree to be present for a set period each week at the same time and all work until everything is tidied up.
