1 - This bed looks like it should be the most comfy thing in the world, mostly because it looks like it belongs in a room with big open French doors that lead to the ocean with long flowing white drapes everywhere.

2 - I have a bad habit of eating Peanut M&Ms in bed. They make such a good snack for while I'm reading myself to sleep.

3 - These pajamas have the classic design with the trim, and there's bonus cute little swans on them!

4 - Because I'm a five year old at heart, I find this Mickey nightlight to be completely adorable, plus it looks like you can take him with you if you need to get up in the middle of the night.

5 - The kids I babysit ranging in ages from baby to 7 years old have always used little toys like this to help them fall asleep. I've been tempted on more than one occasion to buy one for myself because they're so calming.

Bonus - I'm going to guess Panda?

She used to say she could taste sleep and that it was as delicious as a BLT on fresh French bread.

I spent a significant portion of my 20s with a memory foam mattress on the ground. My back felt fantastic and all...visitors... always spoke very highly of it. It just a $120-150? one I got delivered from amazon. Arrived smushed in a regular box and it expands open once you open it (this is the dangerous part... like a peep in a microwave). I honestly loved it and still miss floor sleeping! Bonus: some gainz with getting up from a deep squat everyday haha

I have a similar mattress now from amazon prime and am happy. We have it on one of these frames we found cheap on Craigslist: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N0Z6X1U/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_p1DszbMW9RWD9
It's stable and foldable with storage underneath, very easy to move. We've had it for five years now.

I got my first apartment a couple weeks ago but my roommate went out of town shortly after and it took him a while to move in, but now he is and we have furniture! We have a complete cooking set and living room, now all we need are plates and silverware. I'm super excited. I also ordered my first bed. I've never owned my own bed before. I'm psyched!

Edit: Here's the mattress: [Zinus Memory Foam 6 Inch Green Tea Mattress, Full] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MT85NGJ/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_F3kmzbQTPCW0R)

And here's my beautiful bed

I'm going to buy light pink sheets and I have a cream colored comforter which I've had since college. I'm also going to have a bench at the foot of my bed.

It's so nice to finally be feminine after so many years ❤❤

Hi! You're starting from scratch, so it's probably going to be a bit costly, depending on what you want to do. You can always add gradually. The narrow confines of your design is SUPER bold and I love it, but it's also pretty restrictive on sourcing materials. Here are some ideas: http://i.imgur.com/ry3gnUM.jpg

im a recently divorced single father now. i have full custody of both of my daughters and im doing it all alone now haha. its definitely very hard to do and work full time but i make it work just barely haha. all three of our lives are much better now that my exwife is out of the picture though, so even though its hard, its whats best for all of us.

beds are always necessary haha

We have a king size Zinus platform with headboard. It’s nice and very sturdy. I’m a stickler for build quality and can honestly say it’s pretty great, especially for the price. Comes with nice sturdy hardware, a great Velcro in place slat system, and assembled in under 20 mins with hand tools.

It supports a king size tempurpedic, 3” base (though not necessary), the two of us and our 2 year old when he jumps in. It never creaks or makes any other sounds.

We’ve only had it for about a year but would recommend none the less.

Though it doesn’t look like they have the queen version of this right now, I’m going to post it just so you see the bed I’m taking about. I’ve recently moved and am feeling okay with my new bedroom, but am still working on it. I’d love feedback.
Already on my list are the following:

-A large piece for the wall above the headboard

-Pieces for the wall either side of the tv

-Styling the bed with pillows etc.

I’d love some input on a window covering that would work with the weird placement in the corner and whether or not the below bed would work in my space, plus anything else that can improve the space.

  1. The most amazing bed!. No explanation needed.

  2. The perfect snack. It'll full your belly up and it's a light snack compared to sweet and savory stuff.

  3. Cupcakes!

  4. Elephant night light.

  5. For my son, a box fan helps him stay asleep. If it's turned off in the night, guaranteed he'll wake up 5 or 6 times, with it on, he usually wakes up once, if that!

    Koala?

I know this is a popular topic nowadays, but you always must be wary about sales on Amazon and otherwise. If you know the going rate for an item, then you could definitely find deals on Prime Day.

I purchased Levi's 511 Rigid Dragon for 27.99 USD that day, and this bed frame for only 139.99 USD. Those deals are not likely replicable except on very specific days of the year. I don't monitor deals every day, so it was nice for me to save 50+ USD on items I needed anyway.

u/krentals · 1 pointr/AirBnB

I went with this memory foam rollaway

It's super comfortable and looks much better than an air mattress. Well worth it in my opinion.

u/OhMyMemories · 1 pointr/malelivingspace

Wall art in the living room agianst the TV wall, it looks really empty, or a bigger (longer) TV stand, Something against that wall. Or a coffee table rug in a nice color.

A bed frame for your bed would be nice, I bought one of Amazon

http://www.amazon.com/South-Shore-Furniture-Collection-Platform/dp/B000CPAFBW/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1459036204&sr=8-3&keywords=south+shore+bed+frame

But in Full, it looks really nice for the price and I was extremely satisfied with it. I'm actually trying to sell it tho because I was giving an electrical adjustment bed frame.

Interesting idea. I repurposed a metal over-under bunkbed in my garage as a free-standing storage loft. Works great for storage bins, I don't know why it wouldn't work for a reasonable amount of lumber. Might find one cheap at a yard sale or on CL. Good luck.

u/mrinfo · 1 pointr/malelivingspace

Thank you! I was thinking of a wall mount but didn't consider omni directional. Also, I love the idea of a daybed. Perhaps something like this https://www.amazon.com/DHP-Franklin-Century-Mid-Century-Upholstery/dp/B0764JL7LT would be very versatile and comfy for movie nights! Also perhaps a trundle could be considered, but I was thinking I wanted something on legs to have 'space' underneath to give the illusion of more space.

Also, I was thinking of having an ottoman and having a tray on it for my coffee table.

u/HSuits · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

My cheapest item I actually saw it on a bunch of other wishlists. I've never used a pen like it so I thought "okay, we'll put it on there"

My most expensive Item
I technically have a computer on there but that is like 4,000$ and out-expensives everything. I actually don't have an actual bed. I sleep on what used to be a leather fouton couch, with a ton of comforters stacked on it to attempt to make it more comfortable.

u/allholy1 · 0 pointsr/AskSF

I purchased the zinus frames on Amazon. I think it goes for $136 for a king size. No squeaking, and all the parts fit in the headboard so it is easy to move. IMO it looks really good. The only bad thing about this bed is it's a bit low to the ground so it's hard to store things underneath the bed.

Zinus Omkaram Upholstered Navy Button Detailed Platform Bed / Mattress Foundation / Easy Assembly / Strong Wood Slat Support, King https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074QW9NMR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_XYTiDbZQZD6FT

Our girls are 20 months apart, and having them share a room was our original plan as well. After six months of having the baby in our room, we attempted to move her to her sister's room, only to bring her back to our room, night after night. We finally gave up and settled into a co-sleeping routine that lasted until she was 14 months old. At 16 months, she's finally sleeping through the night, her crib taking up half of our tiny (otherwise unused) office. When she's two and her sister is four, we'll try the room sharing thing again - probably with a low loft bed that can fit a twin mattress underneath like this one.

It might work better for y'all than it did for us, though - our second child was a terrible sleeper until she was over a year old.

I love this little desk or a corner desk for small living

desk

this bed

You can also get a bed with storage underneath, and use that as a dresser.

Yeah either a little patio set for dining or the cute bar stools. Or use that desk thing.

You can also make your bed into a couch if you just have a regular bed, by lots of pillows and such or cushions, I've seen this done. Multipurpose furniture is what you want really.

u/Luph · 3 pointsr/malelivingspace

I'd recommend this frame. I too hate the look of raised beds but this sits really low and has been pretty much perfect for me. Looks very chic too.

Do some research before you go shopping.

Sleep Like the Dead is a really good review/research site. They cut across all brands in their reviews and they explain why certain beds are certain ways. For example it's really hard to comparison shop mattresses because manufacturers tend to make specific models only for specific stores. The insides may be exceptionally similar, but it's difficult to tell that at the stores and sales people aren't great about sharing that info.

I spent most of my life on a traditional innerspring mattress but recently (like a month ago) switched to one of the bed in a box foam mattress and I'm loving it. My hip and lower back pain has dramatically decreased and the price was sooo much better.

This is the mattress I got from Amazon. Slightly lower rated then the Caspers/Leesas of the world, but also a lot cheaper. I didn't want to invest a ton if I wasn't sure about the whole foam mattress thing.

I already had a box spring from my old bed that was still in good shape, so I didn't get a new one, but if I had, I'd probably go with something like a platform bed. There are really simple ones like this one that'll get the job done and let you have plenty of room for storage underneath. You can also get some that have drawers built in for storage which is handy.

Then, depending on your style, you could add a headboard to any frame.

I once slept in this as bunkbeds: https://www.amazon.com/Blantex-Non-Adjustable-Military-Bunkable/dp/B004YDFTNC

The frame is VERY solid, but the mattress support is springs that squeak. But I guess you could remove those and put in wood slats.

u/eyedocforwhatever · 1 pointr/BuyItForLife

I found a couple frames I liked, but were not available in the size I was looking for -

Amazon sells some very low-to-the-ground platform bed frames that serve a similar purpose. We have this one, and it puts our mattress at about the same height as my son’s toddler bed: https://www.amazon.com/Zinus-Platforma-Mattress-Foundation-Boxspring/dp/B01LXM1FE6/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=22QU7KSK3PDY8&keywords=low%2Bbed%2Bframe&qid=1557178239&s=gateway&sprefix=low%2Bbed%2B&sr=8-3&th=1&psc=1

Headboard is built by me, Frame is just a cheap Amazon one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LXM1FE6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_r3jMDbGB8KA95

u/grandpa_milk · 5 pointsr/AmateurRoomPorn

I got this bed frame from Amazon. Wanted something low profile and minimal since I don't like the look of tall beds.
