Congratulations!

I see you went with squishy bronze, good choice. I'm guessing that this is a step up in size for you, so you're body will need some time to get used to is. Be patient. I worked my way up to all day wear over a space of a couple weeks, and it was months before I sized up and started training for all day wear again. I'm no were even close to that with my latest. Practice makes perfect, you'll be taking it like a champ in no time.

Learning to relax is really the most important part of keeping it in honestly. The plug should be big enough that it will stay in on it's own as long as you keep your muscles from clamping down on it. You can practice your control by clamping down on it like you would cut off a turd mid motion. This has the pleasant side effect of pushing the plug up into your body and, if you're lucky, rubbing it against your prostate, which is it's own reward. Hold the contraction for 5 or 10 seconds then relax everything for 10 or 20 seconds. Repeat for a couple minutes. Your butt will be so tired, and your prostate so stimulated, that you won't be able to push it out.

Incidentally, learning to control those muscles makes a huge difference in how enjoyable any kind of anal play is. Learning to let something, or someone, slip into your ass with no resistance, but then clamping down on them and not letting them leave is fun.

Stopping nasty stuff is a little trickier, but honestly not much. Fiber supplements. For me Fiber-Con is simply the best bang for your buck. It will keep things firm and cohesive, and makes taking a dump a much cleaner, quicker, and a more comfortable process. Then it's just a matter of a quick rinse out with your douching tool of choice. I have a Bidet attachment on my toilet that I use for a quick rinse. But you can even use a sports bottle full of water. This takes a little practice too. To much water and you'll get water past the colon, that can get a lot more complicated and take a lot more time.

I got my bidet off Woot, but Amazon has them for under $30. You'll want to get a better connector than the plastic one they come with, but it's been a godsend for me.

https://www.amazon.com/TP70-Handheld-Personal-Portable-Capacity/dp/B00O92IF6Q/ref=sr_1_7?crid=7YUMED4AGJKQ is a cheap and easy tester for the portable ones.

https://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-120-Non-Electric/dp/B00A0RHSJO/ref=sr_1_4 is what Woot.com had for about the same price, and I love it.

>You have to be frugal to get an adult clean on one tank

We used to use a garden sprayer camping too, but then discovered this incredibly simply little gadget and found we got more thoroughly rinsed and cleaner "feeling" on even less water than we used with the sprayer. That plus one of these = the most efficient camping shower that actually gets you feeling as clean as your regular shower at home can, the garden sprayer just never had enough pressure or volume to make you feel like the soap and grime is actually off your body, you know? :)

I bought this one
You get two, the screw-on one works with a smart water bottle. The other one doesn't, but fits smaller bottles like the nestle pure-life bottles.

The long screw-on one is .28oz
the shorter one is .32 oz

I like the screw-on one better, I find that the other one sometimes pops out of the bottle if it's cold out ;)

  1. Do other parts of your washing routing first, like brushing your teeth, contact lenses, etc. that are less sensitive to cold water. Do this at a sink nearby the shower, and use only "hot" water. This will use up at least some of the cold water from the hot water pipe for something useful. Bonus: you can put a small basin in your sink to capture the water from when you are washing up, and empty that into the buckets in your tub/shower for flushing.
  2. When warming up the water in the shower, set it to maximum hot so only water from the hot water pipe is being flushed and not also water from the cold water pipe. Put a bucket to capture this water and then use it for flushing toilets.
  3. Put as many buckets or basins as you can stand on the floor of the shower while you are showering. Turn on the water to get wet, then turn it off to scrub, then turn it back on to rinse.
  4. Install a hot water recirculation pump, which will pump the cold water from the hot water pipe into the cold water pipe (yes, it does create some warm water in the cold pipe for a little bit) when the hot pipe temp drops below a set threshold. I installed one of these under the sink closest to the shower farthest away from the water heater and connected it to a smart switch so I can tell Alexa to "turn on hot water recirculation" a few minutes before I shower.

NTA, especially in regards to your son. I think it's more than reasonable to expect your SO/child to be wearing fresh underwear everyday, especially if your child is still learning to wipe their bottom.

I also used to use wet wipes and recently purchased a hand held bidet. It's honestly changed my life. Now I can spray clean and then just use a little tp to dry off. Just a recommendation if you're open to it! I've save a ton of money buying less wet wipes and can feel a bit better about not having to throw them away all the time.

u/mckatze · 2 pointsr/offbeat

That actually sounds pretty uncomfortable!! You could get something like this https://www.amazon.com/Portable-Sprayer-Travel-Personal-Cleansing/dp/B01D8RKUCO/ to help, the handheld sprayers that hang from the toilet are also pretty cheap.

u/Gijay28 · 2 pointsr/beyondthebump

The sitz bath is a bucket the goes on the toilet seat, it's filled with warm water & then a bag of water hangs with a tube that attaches to the bath that squirts the water into the bucket. It creates a swirling bath of warm water that the vulva sits in to sooth pain. You don't use this after a c-section.

I had 2 c-sections. A belly binder is a must, the hospital should provide one. They come in different sizes, so if the first one doesn't fit ask for another size. Put it on before standing up. Having 2 reusable gel ice packs is nice on the incision. If you can get them, cloth menstrual pads are way nicer to wear for 4-8 weeks than disposable pads (soft, breathable & less leaks). You can't use a menstrual cup postpartum even with a c-section. High waist underwear are great, low cuts bother my incision months later. A peri bottle isn't necessary with a c-section, but it's nice to not have to bend. They give you one at the hospital, but I prefer using a travel bidet with a bent neck like this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00O92IF6Q/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_U_x_.qo2AbE60N95N

Here’s two I found with good ratings:

Edit: Lol, yes let’s downvote the guy who went out of his way to find two bidet options for a stranger on the internet.

u/agedmanofwar · 3 pointsr/ZeroWaste

The kind I have is a handheld sprayer. Kind of like what you see on kitchen sinks, the little water guns. I just wash it with cleaner the same way I do the rest of the toilet. It doesn't really get dirty though. Because it sprays water out so usually anything is getting shot away from it. This is the kind I go. Worth every penny and I really mean that. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0108GMCWY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

u/thalassicus · 16 pointsr/BurningMan

A super clean butt right out of the portos can be yours for less than $10. That's the real game changer.

u/AstarteHilzarie · 0 pointsr/LifeProTips

True, but you don't carry your wipes there, either. I've managed to avoid using public restrooms all but twice for two years, though.

Oh, actually, if you're really dedicated to the cause they do make portable bidets but I don't think I would tote one around with me unless I had some kind of medical condition that made it worthwhile.

u/LickItAndSpreddit · 1 pointr/funny

A shattaf (hand bidet) can be very easily installed.

It's basically a sprayer attachment (like the kind on some kitchen sinks) that you plumb between the toilet water supply valve and the tank.

So the water supply will split between the tank (to fill it) and the shattaf, which usually has its own valve (to avoid leaks).

Here is one that seems OK (B grade on Fakespot) but more than I'd recommend spending if you aren't sure about incorporating this into your lifestyle.

You could always go the third-world route (like I was accustomed to) to get familiar with the practice (or even do it long-term), and use a pitcher/watering jug.

u/Isablidine · 3 pointsr/camping

This is a great idea thanks!

For those wanting to purchase similar via Prime, here's another product: Travel Bidet Bottle

There are only two reviews for it by two ladies, both 5 star. For the lazy, I went through all the two ladies' reviews and they seem completely legit.

u/RottenRosebud · 1 pointr/ibs

If your "throne" is close to the sink: https://www.amazon.com/SmarterFresh-Faucet-Sprayer-Water-Bidet/dp/B01E4H7DTA/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1505325419&sr=8-7&keywords=bidet+shower Something like this is really common where I live. Saves space compared to the Spanish thing, too. The hose in this example is bit awkward but seems easy to install!

u/billbixbyakahulk · 1 pointr/bidets

I think you'd need something like this.

Notice in the bottom product pic it goes directly from the hot water into the valve and then splits off from there.

You may not need a valve that mixes, but you need one that accepts the hose inlet and then splits off to your required bidet and sink hoses. /r/plumbing can probably link a specific part.

u/bloodguard · 1 pointr/vandwellers

For camping I've used a USB rechargeable hand sprayer. Don't let the word "bidet" throw you. I suppose if you're inside a van you could just use a bucket and a shallow pan to stand in to catch the grey water.

u/Reset2Pt0 · 5 pointsr/Ultralight

LOL, I bought 3 styles to try out. This one is the lightest so far...

I would suggest the Hibbent Portable Bidet (620ml) bottle. I live in an apartment and not allowed to have a bidet installed so I have been using the portable to satisfy my cleaning needs.

u/H4mwallet · 35 pointsr/Ultralight

Bottle bidet yo. I’ve used this cheapo one screwed to an old 16oz sawyer bag for a while. But the culo clean might be worth a try. As far as your face just use a small pack towel like the rei face towel. It weighs 0.7 oz.

u/VocemHominis · 7 pointsr/jpouch

Tips for the butt burn battle: the diaper creme you should be using is Calmoseptine. Make sure you always have flushable wet wipes with you wherever you are. Get a bidet sprayer for the toilet you use the most, and do your best to stay clean.

Your frequency will reduce as your jpouch gets used to holding waste and stretches a bit. Take Imodium (or less expensive store brand loperamide) as needed - at mealtime and before bed, for example - to slow things down, and pay attention to what you're eating. You may want to drop back to the BRAT diet (bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast), then introduce other foods to see what works for you.

A little blood is probably OK but if it persists go see your surgeon. Be patient, things will settle down with time.

u/MrGriffin12 · 1 pointr/HomeImprovement

I put one of these in and it has a thermostat inside so it only runs long enough to get hot water to the pump then shuts off until the water starts to cool down. It also has a timer so you set it to only run during the day if you like. It does not really run that much and I noticed no change in my electric usage.

u/JeffVanGandhi · 1 pointr/nba

Are you me? I've also invested in the portable bidet which has been amazing for the post coffee work dumps.

u/Notevenspecial · 2 pointsr/HomeImprovement

Most of the shower mixing/thermostatic valves regulate down to 100F. Too warm for your application. I think this one will work down to around 70F:

Exactly bro. After living in SE Asia where the Hand Held bidets are everywhere, I couldn't go back to just paper. Gross.

Why don't you install bidet in your home I just installed This

u/WhatIsCreativity · 3 pointsr/Ultralight

Does the skurka method involve this thing? Saw someone else mention this attachment and wondered 1) if it worked and 2) how do you dry your butt?

u/Stormwind99 · 2 pointsr/Ultralight

I'm not the commentor you are asking, but I just tried the CuloClean which has threading/o-rings for multiple water bottle types. I wasn't so impressed with it compared to the much heavier Boss Bidet Mini.

u/visionsofold · 5 pointsr/CampingGear

Nope, the life span even for wipes advertised as biodegradable is horrendously long. Pack them out.

I only consider using them to wipe my ass and I currently just use a water bottle as a ghetto bidet to dramatically reduce the number I use on a trip and sanitize my hand afterwards. Planning to upgrade to this next time I put an order thru amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B010OO9TTO

u/WhyWontThisWork · 1 pointr/Plumbing

So I got this:

We have a tankless hot water, it takes some time for the hot to make it, so I figure this will kill two birds. 1 hot water is closer to the items, 2 water is moving through pipes in winter.

Have tankless though so not sure what will happen. I did set it to the lowest amount of time turned on, the same time off, and repeat. I can explain more if necessary. The idea was in case it's not enough water to actually trigger the hot water from the heater.

u/princehal · 0 pointsr/AdviceAnimals

My life has changed completely with my Ass Blaster2000. I have, rather than a bidet, a sprayer (shattaf -- the best named thing ever), my toilet is right across from my sink (which the AssBlaster 2000 attaches to). I sit down to do my business, adjust the water temperature to a nice warm setting, let my asshole do it's duty, flip the little lever and spray down the butt-crack. The warm water, the almost erotic anal massage (good water pressure), a few dabs with TP to dry and I AM CLEAN.

My AssBlaster 2000 changed my life. The 'roids never ever get super bad anymore. It's like a sink sprayer, so can be used to wash out diapers too after sex play. Or what ever people use diapers for.

Seriously, I cannot imagine life with-out one. I use a washlet squirt bottle at work. Sometimes I spray down the ass between sets, just to freshen up.

Do it. Seriously, just try one. You dirty dirty boy.

u/CarryOnRTW · 1 pointr/Ultralight

Been using this one from Amazon almost every day for a few months. We've been travelling through Asia for a couple of years and are bum gun converts. It comes with 2 and we use the screw on adapter vs. the push in one. It fits all the usual bottle threads.

u/ModuRaziel · 1 pointr/TheOCS

$25 CAD

This is the same that I have, and have had for like a year at least. I dont know why some reviews mention bad pressure, i find its fine with good batteries. Only problem is it gets dirty after a while and needs to be thoroughly scrubbed

u/mlw72z · 1 pointr/Frugal

Correct. I installed one of these 20 years ago and it's awesome. When you turn on a hot water faucet and wait for it to warm up the water that you're wasting down the drain used to be hot. The pump is thermostatically controlled and silently pulls water as needed. It sends the water back to the water heater through the cold water line so no water is wasted.

This may not work for OP if an oil fired system literally doesn't keep a tank of hot water ready at all times. It's also probably not a good idea if your pipes run through a concrete slab as that would waste a lot of heat.
