I wish you good luck with your repair. I have had great luck with the products from Rub N Restore. I've used their soft filler along with a backing for larger tears. Then painted over it with their marine white dye which happens to be a perfect color match for my vinyl. Then finished it off with a protective clear top coat. You can check out their how to video here
With that said, I think that seat is too far gone to get lasting satisfactory results without insane amounts of time spent. I've been able fix single rips up to the size of quarter. But even one of those took alot of time to get right. I love seeing people save old things and learn more about their stuff by repairing it. I think in this case though you will find it far more effective to just buy a replacement seat in the end. If budget is an issue, there are decent new seats out there for less than $80 shipped like this or this. If budget is not so much of an issue, maybe now is the time to treat yourself to a nice upgrade. Like a comfy high back with a flip up bolster
Either way good luck and happy boating! Let us know how it turns out.
The best baby carrier. I tried so many. I love the Bjorn Miracle. It comes with so much back support. If I’m really having a bad day, I’ll wear an additional back brace under my clothes. My kids always NEED TO BE HELD! NOW! This carrier made that a bit easier!
Also, diaper backpacks are a lot easier for me then crossbody bags.
A small footstool to get baby out of crib when they get bigger. Leaning over the crib was hard for me.
A stadium chair like the one below. I can sit on the floor with my kids with the back support this gives. Love it!

I love this sun shelter for the outdoors. Keeps me from overheating

And this clip on fan is awesome. The charge lasts forever. I try to make myself as comfortable as possible when we leave the house for an adventure!

About the container:
Using a fishing stowaway tackle box and some foam, it's really easy to make a neat little container to hold all your TTRPG stuff. You can stack more or less layers of foam inside divisions to make it easier to reach (the potions have 3 layers) or to make more room for bigger things (the d20s only have 1 layer). Half-divisions hold standard 1-inch base miniatures perfectly (the fairy lady is a metal mini printed off Hero Forge).
The tackle box used is one of the larger sizes Plano has to offer, but if you don't have as much stuff to stash, the Plano Prolatch 3600 or the Plano Prolatch 3500 are smaller options that also work great. These sizes are better for players who want a case like this or DMs with nothing else but a couple dice sets and some minis.
Keep in mind that there will be a lot of foam left over. The 2-3700 only required two or three sheets of foam to triple-stack the entire container, and I got myself a 10-pack. If you need to get rid of the extra foam, getting a couple 3500's for your players is a nice gift, considering they only run about $4 each. I got a four-pack of the 2-3700's since most of my players also DM, so hopefully that uses up the rest of the 10-pack of foam.
From one of my posts in /r/vandwellers
https://www.reddit.com/r/vandwellers/comments/6flmy4/going_solar/dijcji9/?context=3
I'm going to try to make this easy for you. Here is a setup that will provide you with some basic solar power. Don't expect to run your laptop 24/7 , but this will give you plenty of juice to get a few creature comforts in place and you'd probably be able to keep a business class laptop going all day with it.
Total cost is under $400
Try to avoid leaving exposed metal wiring at your connections and make sure you have all the positives and negatives matched up and you now have solar power.
When putting this together, I opted for decent starter solar panel, charge controller, and battery. I skipped details such as multiple outlets, custom lighting, and vent fans because that will add more complication as you're wiring multiple things. You could always upgrade to those later.
Down the road, depending on your needs you may want to upgrade to a 100AH battery (it's much larger and heavier so keep that in mind), add a 2-3 more of the 100W solar panels, and add a vent fan and LED lighting.
Keep in mind that heating, cooling, and refrigeration will not be viable with this setup. To run a good fridge/freezer setup like this one, you'd need probably 200AH of storage and 300W of solar panels to be safe.
A friend of mine has a similar canoe with the molded seats. I've found the standard seats like this one work perfectly fine. And by fine I mean I've been comfortable after paddling up to 5 hours straight.

Here's what we did to store our TI4 in the box. I stole the idea from user bigegg on the bgg forums in this thread--
https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1885145/storage-solution-box
Some of his details are incorrect and he has no references for what he actually used or bought, so that's what I'm doing here.
Ground force tokens, trade good tokens, and other misc things go in one of these: (EDIT: we clipped off the little hanger thing on the end because it made the box just barely not fit) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000E39T4Q/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Action card deck and Agenda deck each gets one of these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002TT3KW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Seventeen of these for the race tokens and cards, one for the planet deck, and one for the objective deck, for a total of nineteen:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002TT3KM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Lastly, these six boxes are for the ships and the colored cards--the tech decks and promissory notes: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K2DREPO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Everything all together was around $50.
We cut the planet tray out of the rest of the tray with a box knife, and we put the strategy cards atop one of the stacks of planets. The victory track we ended up moving to the top of the race boxes so it would lay flat. Other than that, the books and stuff sit on top of everything, and the box closes up no problem. It's considerably heavier than before due to all the added plastic, of course, but it's looking like cleanup and set up will be much easier with this method because all anybody will need to grab is their color box and their race box. Hope this helps!
Edit: Ah also forgot to mention--we sleeved everything in these. They are thinner than the FFG ones and therefore fit in our plastic cases:
https://www.amazon.com/Mayday-Games-Sleeves-41x63mm-sleeves/dp/B06XZGN51N/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1511979051&sr=8-4&keywords=mini+card+sleeves
I love carrying a small collapsable grappling anchor. Cup holders are always welcome. Also, this style of back rest is a nice thing to have. Anything to make the canoe more comfortable will let you stay out for longer stretches.
I also own an AE, but haven't yet changed out the seat. One option I was thinking of is pairing their lumbar support seat with an additional padded cushion, like this.
Edit: Also, check out the AE website under accessories. They sell a KAYAK SEAT LINK AE2502 which either allows you to use an AE seat on another kayak or "They also allow for the attachment of any aftermarket kayak seat to your Advanced Elements Kayak."
Never tried but I bet the clear plastic organizers for fishing lures would work great.
Edit: like this http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000E39T4Q/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?qid=1427844199&sr=8-2&keywords=Plano
This is what I use for pretty much all my FFG games. It doesn't look like the image on the page, if you scroll down to the first review (where they're storing 7 Wonders tokens in it), it looks like that. It's great for Legion because one of the wide sections without any dividers in it holds the movement tools and the four range ruler pieces, while all the tokens fit in the other two rows easily.
Doesn't seem all that innovative to me, to be honest. I mean, Stadium Seats have been around forever, and are a fraction of the cost.
Buy hey, good luck on your Kickstarter.
You can build a wood box with a vent cover+mesh (on the side) for intake. For output, going out the bottom would work then a extension cord safety cover would do for the power.

I didn't keep track but several hundred dollars at least. Planning is key. Stainless hardware isn't cheap!

My best guess would be:

So all in that's $1,115. Sounds about right. We didn't keep a strict budget or anything and several items were Christmas gifts.

Here's links to to stuff I got on amazon:
I don't have the same kayak (I've got a Pescador 12), but had the same problem as you with the seat area being concaved. What I did that really made for a comfortable day on the water was to buy a canoe seat like this one-- https://www.amazon.com/GCI-Outdoor-SitBacker-Canoe-Seat/dp/B0042WZ77I -- and then take some PVC and sort of fit it around the concave area to try and make a flat area for the seat to set on. Googling "PVC kayak seat" was always a good starting point for me.
I have a couple of these seats. They work pretty well for short day trips. The main benefit for me is that it relieves some of the lower back strain that I feel sitting in the canoe.
Link to swivel mounts: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001O0D6SI/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
They aren't small either - about 7" x 7", (part of the reason I went with 2x10's)
I paid $7/ea for them, supposedly you can get them at Home Depot too but I never saw them, plus why go searching when Amazon will bring it to my door :)
Oh! One of the best purchases I've ever made for my canoe! http://www.amazon.com/GCI-Outdoor-SitBacker-Canoe-Seat/dp/B0042WZ77I
Found an Instep jogging stroller at the thrift store for like 30 bucks and loaded up on stuff from amazon. Unhooked and cut the baby sunshade and seatbelt then mounted some things on it.
Amazon has these gun holders: Maggift Grip Rhino Holder,Mount Rifle Gun Rack (V Shape) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074FXLP42/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_sytaAb05BCQK7
I bought a couple of those so I could have 4 Guns at a time on my cart.
Then you can’t go wrong with one of these: ROBOCUP 12 Colors, Best Cup Holder for Drinks, Fishing Rod/Pole, Boat, Beach Chair/Golf Cart/Wheelchair/Walker/Drum Sticks/Microphone Stand https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0065MYZGW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_PztaAbMX4NV26
Still folds in half to fit in the car too. Was a good find.
In case anyone in here is looking for a tip on waiting in line - I recommend buying a stadium seat. It helps immensely when you want to sit on the floor and don't have anything to lean against.
I have that chair, and I bought this cup holder
to go with it. Seems to work fairly well, but there's a couple things to note:
Firstly, I had to replace the chair. One of the bolts came out and it took a little bit of doing to get it replaced (it was just outside the 30 day return period. I called Amazon directly saying, "hey, look, I know this is just outside warranty but here's the deal..." and was able to convince them.) This suggests that build quality isn't great, but it's only a single example and the replacement (have had for less than a month now) does not seem to be repeating the issue. Yet.
Second, the cup holder: be careful where and how you attach it. Because of the way the chair folds, you have to attach it low on the legs to avoid interfering with the chair closing, risking damage to the chair or the cup holder, depending. It's a great cup holder, attaches easily and securely and holds up to two large cups (or fishing poles ;) ) with no issues, it's just important to be aware of where it's attached. It does rest at an angle, (because the legs on the chair are angled) which isn't an issue for me as I just have to leave a small amount of space in the cups I'm placing inside, but may be an issue for some people.
Most of my suggestions are from other Reddit posts on here or BGG.
Do yourself a favor and buy an accordion/file folder for the map pieces, ideally with at least 13 pockets for map pieces A-M. That way you do not need to Tetris the pieces back in the box. Saves a lot of time.
I use this Plano box for commonly used small pieces.
And this one for the environment and monster holders.
Smaller monsters will fit in a tray like this one but not the larger mobs (or ones with ten of them), so you would either need to baggy those mobs anyway or cut space in the included foamcore packaging (there are some good examples in other threads).
Also YMMV, but we keep "trashed" cards in a separate ziploc bag rather than actually destroying them.
Edit Note: Using all of the methods described above, I can fit everything from the 1st edition in the box except the file folder.
Check this out. Comfortable and straps to the bench.
So what's the problem-- you can't find one to buy? It sounds like you know exactly what you want.

I always thought something like this would be good. I’ve since recovered but I would try proping myself up with wedges and other things but I would always end up sliding down.
It is a waterproof access cover for the front bulkhead. Or as my wife calls them salami sandwich storage areas. They also provide more buoyancy. You can buy them from beckson’s.

You really can't beat the GCI Sitbacker. Been going on an annual 4-day canoe trip for about 10 years and some of the guys still have their original chair.
Seriously, though, $450?

I'm at $220, mostly for my nice portable battery, and I don't have to take the cooler everywhere.
I got the 3500 from amazon here: Plano 23500-00 Size Stowaway with Adjustable Dividers https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000E39T4Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_5jBTybCG28CN8
As for the 3600, I got it from my local Walmart in the fishing section. I checked amazon quickly and didn't spot the one I have on there. Sorry couldn't be more help!
LifeProTip: Flying Spirit or Frontier? Purchase a boat seat cushion for your flight. The seats are now just thick plastic shells with minimal padding
On amazon it states you can take it out of its cover and wash it in the washing machine https://www.amazon.com/Machine-Cushion-Perfectly-Concept-Washable/dp/B01LW7P9S0/ref=lp_17492510011_1_3?srs=17492510011&ie=UTF8&qid=1541775225&sr=8-3

Is this what you're looking for? I have 3 seats mounted on these, albeit by a different manufacturer.
It's the right time of year to buy one of these.
Or a stadium seat
I'm planning on buying these : https://www.amazon.com/GCI-Outdoor-SitBacker-Adjustable-Support/dp/B0018S0R38/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=canoe+seat+backer&qid=1555533334&s=gateway&sr=8-1-spell
My Scenario & Encounter cards are sleeved in a BCW Deckbox. I also have a Dual Deckbox that I can hold the 3 pre-built core decks in. Tokens are held in a Plano 3500

Downvote all you want but it is a goddamned chair.

The black photographer in the blue shirt is sitting in one just like it.
I use my canoe chair in my kayak. So if you have a canoe or find yourself in a canoe often you could try this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0018S0R38/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_9fF6Bb3H6WT2Y
It’s not an elegant solution but it works.
I use a lowepro camera case large enough to hold the camera housing a box similar to this for all my parts. I have one large enough to hold all my junk, even my mini tripod and cords. When I'm lazy I'll just attach my suction cup mount.

I picked up this plano for it, fits all the workers + gears + citizens. I leave the goods in a baggie so I can just dump them on the map randomly, and left the buildings together with the round tracker tiles in a baggie. I should note I use the cardboard gears and citizens, I don't like the plain wooden ones for those.
Hey, don't be afraid to ask a librarian for help. They are alll about the rules, my friend! They have your back.
Don't forget that many people actually like helping others. They are literally standing there waiting for an opportunity to help as a way to distract them from boring other work. You'll be able to tell right away if they are annoyed, but seriously, if they're annoyed that's their problem. It is the librarian's job to help you!
Edit to add, again: Do you have to have a chair? The reason I ask is that I just sat on the floor at the end of long aisles of books where no-one ever goes. If the floor grosses you out, maybe bring a floor-cover or one of those foam stadium chairs that have a back and pretend you're on a picnic.
