I'm including links to what I purchased on Amazon but you can shop around and get what you need :) If you end up getting what I'm linking to, it'll last you quite a while. I even sell some occasionally.
This is my nut free version but you I'll include some alternatives if you want to use different butters/oils. Basically, you want equal parts so adjust the recipe for amount you want. This will give you a little more than 2oz of body butter which lasts me at least a month and I put it on quite a bit. You only need a little at a time.
Steps:
You just need a small amount and it'll melt from your body heat and soak into your skin. Feels AMAZING.
Ugh, I'm sorry to hear about your mom's trouble with methotrexate (though it makes me glad that I passed on it). When you're not dealing with the systemic form of scleroderma, it's tough to figure out what treatment is right, because it's more about alleviating symptoms, and sometimes the side effects of the medication just aren't worth it. Unfortunately it's a rare disease without much research behind it, so there are not as many options to choose from (that insurance will cover, at least).
For the stretch mark cream, I use Basq Advanced Stretch Mark Butter (Amazon link at the end of this post). For one, because I already had it, but also because the skin of the plaques gets very dry, scaly, and tight, so moisture is key. Something like Mederma is great for helping to repair scar tissue, but it isn't focused on moisturizing the skin. And there's no shame in needing stretch mark cream even when it's not related to pregnancy - not all of us are blessed with skin that is super-elastic =)
The exercise roller I used really helped with releasing some of the tightness of the skin plaques (just search for "muscle roller stick" on Amazon, there are lots of options in the $10-20 range). Depending on the size of your mom's plaques, it might be useful. Mine cover the entire front of my right thigh, and were getting fairly hard -- rolling over it for a minute or two a day softened them up within a week or two. <-- This is totally my own experimentation, it may be a placebo effect. I just decided to try it after my trainer recommended a muscle roller to break up scar tissue from another injury, and when I started researching about manual things like this to "break up scar tissue", it turned out that actually does work for injuries, so I figured "why not?".
I haven't personally tried light therapy -- my insurance wouldn't cover it unless I had already tried the methotrexate, which I wasn't willing to do. How it works, though, is that your mom would have regular (weekly or bi-weekly) short doses (a few minutes at a time) in a light box (which would be focused only on the affected areas, not like a whole chamber) at a doctor's office. The light is specific wavelengths to penetrate to different depths of the skin, and the purpose is to break up / release the collagen bundles that have formed. In theory, this would help to relax the skin, leading to improvements in mobility, as well as reduce pain from the tight skin. It won't help the disease, though, so if your mom's scleroderma / morphea is active, new plaques would likely still form. I'm not sure how effective this would be if she has gashes from it - I'd definitely check with a doctor on that.
Good luck to you & your mom! She's lucky to have you taking such an active interest in her treatment, especially for a disease with such limited understanding.

I get that mark too to some extent, but it is overall shaped like an "A" and that's the highest mark you can get </attempted CPAP Humor>
My apologies for that.
It took me a while to find the sweet spot between too tight and just tight enough.
I also found that I had to insist that they change me from medium size and then eventually to large and then XL to fit me, resulting in less pressure lines on my face. The marks still happen to some extent, but fade within an hour or so. They ( the CPAP tech) argued that the bigger the "footprint" on the face the more area there was to seal and that big people don't necessarily need big masks, but I found that the larger mask helped me find a better seal and comfort.
I also found that I could keep the mask looser once I got a dual material mask with a stiffer foam insert inside a more flexible outer seal. I have used my mask for years with some slight leaking at peak pressure even though the tech says it should have no leaks, it still helps my sleep immensely. The mask should ideally kind of "float" snugly on your face with the rubber floppiness doing the seal--if that makes any sense
I have seen here in this sub that some people use cloth inserts ( available on Amazon) to help with issues such as yours. some Amazon reviewers suggest making your own from old undershirt cloth or whatever. I have not bought any or experimented with that although I may try it at some point. - edit -- see /u/pseudoghost and /u/Gusman54 and /u/YarnBender 's posts
The dryness and flaking does not sound good. I would keep the possibility of an allergy in the mix in your quest for a solution. Coco Butter may be very helpful for skin problems like this ( if it is just simple dryness).
A larger mask helped me with my similar "too Damn tight" problems. I would wake up feeling like my skull was getting re-shaped! --Not Good! I tried a few other style masks ( other than the delta shaped full faced) and none of them worked for me -- I could not abide the chinstrapO on the nasal only style.
Good luck on your search for a solution!
~ ~ ~ edit to add:
/u/gh5046 makes a good point about regular cleaning of the mask -- I have had some wicked bridge of the nose skin issues when I neglected cleaning. At seven days out from new you should be fine - clean it anyway!
Hey there, I've got all kinds of eccentric natural beauty/health products that I can suggest:
I don't use body soap at all -- I just scrub in the shower with an asian washcloth.
I do use soap on my hands, as they're exposed to all sorts of yucky stuff and then I touch food and other people. For soap, I use Dr. Bronner's. I also use it as body wash if I get something unusually gross on my body (engine oil, for example).
For deodorant, I use one of those crystals. I like this one just cause it's shaped like regular deodorant.
I make my own lotion with shea butter and jojoba oil from Amazon. I weigh out 70g of shea butter and 30g of jojoba oil in a bowl and melt them in the microwave. Then I mix them up and put the bowl in the fridge for a few minutes to cool. I use an electric mixer to mix the lotion and then put it back in the fridge for another few minutes. Eventually, the lotion cools to the point where I can whip it (kind of like whipping cream). I also add some essential oils once it's cooled but still fairly liquid (coconut and lemon is my current jam) so that takes care of perfume :)
For toothpaste, I actually use tooth powder. (It's also good for the whole TSA nonsense.) There are a bunch of brands, Ecodent, for example.
I'm including some product links, just so you can see what I'm talking about. I haven't purchased that particular brand of shea butter, but it looks nice :) You might try going down to your local health food/hippie store and see what kind of products they have in their beauty section. My local store has stuff like soap, shampoo, and conditioner in bulk, so you can buy just a bit and try it out to see if it works for you :)
Product name: Unrefined, raw shea butter
Price (range): Can vary widely depending on where/who you buy it from, but I use the Sky Organics one from Amazon.
Country of purchase: USA
Skin info: Oily/combination, Fitzpatrick 5-6, sensitive/easily dehydrated/large pores.
Ingredient list: Unrefined, raw shea butter (lol)
Special info: Rich in vitamin A & E and moisturizing fatty acids. It's also apparently non-comedogenic. And cruelty free!
Unrefined raw shea butter should be off-white to cream colored, but is not always uniform in color. Some dark flecks are normal. It can be crumbly and should smell somewhat nutty.
For those who need heavy, heavy moisture, look for shea nilotica (East African shea butter) specifically. The ratio of fatty acids makes it more moisturizing that West African shea butter which is already nothing to sneeze at.
Also, lots of online retailers support initiatives that promote sustainable economic development in Sub-Saharan Africa and help empower the women who do the overwhelming majority of the work when it comes to production of shea butter.
Experience & opinion: I've been using shea butter as the last step in my nightly routine for years now. It is the one product I can depend on to never break me out, never clog my pores, and never irritate my skin. It has helped heal and save my skin SO MANY TIMES when I've fucked it up by being too intense with acids or retinoids. It is absolutely without a doubt the single most important product I use that keeps dehydration at bay. If I'm going out at night and I put on a thin layer, and people tell me my skin is glowing. The only reason I can't use it during the day is that my sunscreen already makes my face way too shiny. Also a lifesaver for chapped lips or dry, cracked hands.
I will say the raw stuff can be hard to spread. A lot of retailers whip their shea butter which makes it easier to spread without destroying the benefits. If you don't want to use a whipped version, you can always break off a piece and warm it in your hands or the microwave.
Rave: Mint Maniac This works miracles. I have been having trouble with my spit line as I've been talking more than I usually do and after a few swipes, my lips were completely clear of everything that was on them and I was able to properly moisturize. (It had been sitting on my shelf for a few years and I was happily surprised it still worked.)

Rant: Sweet Cherry by ELF. It's been on my shelf around the same time as Mint Maniac. Don't buy it. When I opened it to apply on my lips it was dry and when I smelled it. It smelled like those off brand crayons where it smells like straight up wax. It was awful.

Rave: Palmer's Swivel Stick This is a life saver. I mainly use it on my lips but when I gave it to my mom, her skin instantly started looking more lively.
Sensitive Burt's Bees My eyes tend to water like crazy, especially during allergy season and when I put on makeup. This works like a charm. Plus, it keeps all the dirt from drifting into sensitive pockets and overall is a great investment.
Burt's Bees Hydrating Mask I use this as lotion for my face. Not only does it protect my face from harsh outside elements, it keeps it hydrated and plump and looking healthy. Another great investment.
I use this brush. I rarely shampoo and I don't rinse any of the conditioner out. I try to put oil in my hair when I'm not going out to condition it.
I use Safflower oil because it doesn't have an odor like olive oil.
Some of my favorite products are :
This girl gives good tips on curly hair.
As well as this lady.
I'm so excited we're talking about curly hair for once!
I smashed my face last year when I fell down a mountain. Thanks to the following, my face is back to the exact same with the exception of a teeny scar. Mederma, a tad expensive due to SPF but worth it cuz it was my goddamn face, triple antibiotic ointment linked here but cheaper when purchased as a generic, and Cocoa butter with vitamin E, also available in Walmart/Target places for half the price as listed here. Basically what you're looking for is lotions with vitamin E. I've had luck looking in the "ethnic" hair/lotion/body products section, and there's a whole variety of oils and lotions and rubs. Personally, my favorite is this one and it's usually $2 in store. Bio Oil can be a bit expensive, but a great and comparable product is Africa's Best Moroccan oil, or generic Baby Oil. Again, most of these products are available at Walmart/Target for a fraction of the price. They're all fairly pricey online because of the weight/shipping prices, despite it being shipped via Prime.
A long time ago I bought this at CVS thinking it might be a nice thing to try for shaving. It didn't lather at all and gave a horrible shave, but made a great preshave cream. When I ran out I tried to cut out the middleman and bought some straight Shea Butter Cream which was not nearly as creamy as I thought it would be (or indeed creamy at all). It worked alright as a preshave cream but you really have to work it to get it to melt and it stains fabrics in large quantities, so I have a couple yellow hand towels now. I started to look for other uses for it when I found tutorials on making shea cream - usually with some coconut oil, some kind of carrier oil, and essential oils for smell.
I ended up following this guide which worked rather well! the product looks exactly like the african shea butter I get, but it's a little stiffer initially and melts much faster in my hands. It goes on a little greasy, which is part of what I was trying to avoid; straight shea butter sticks so hard it usually survives hand washing, hence the yellow towels. The same guy has a non-greasy recipe here that I didn't see before, but it just seems to be more shea butter and less oil. Also, if you're going for a fragrance, either lay it on thick or get something that complements the smell of shea butter - this stuff kinda smells like lavender leather ballsack right now
Thanks! I've used 2 things and I haven't been all that good about using either. Meaning that I haven't come anywhere close to applying them every day/night, which is what is recommended. I've got this stuff called Siligen that I put on at night, but you can only get it from a Dr. (I got it from my plastic surgeon that fixed my nose). I think it works well, but I also had been using Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula - Advanced Scar Serum which is available over the counter. Really, I feel like anything with SPF and vitamin E can be marketed as helping heal scars. And it's true. It generally works. It kind of depends on where the scar is though. My forehead has faded much better than the bridge of my nose.
First of all welcome! Here is the largest collection of cat memes in the universe! After you get done looking at all those awesome cats this item might help. Shea butter is awesome so I think it would be good in handmade soap. You said you like Star Wars so here is an adorable item. I love handmade soap.
I love this made by “Ancient Greek Remedy.”
Extremely clean ingredients and just as good as Skin Food, imo.
Edit: it’s vegan and cruelty free, don’t take the “butter cream” description to heart, it’s more describing the consistency. Here’s the ingredient list:
FACE & BODY MOISTURIZER made of a 100% PURE Blend of Organic Sweet Almond, Cold pressed Olive, Castor, Sunflower, Grapeseed, Vitamin E, and Lavender Essential oil. VEGAN, GLUTEN, GMO & PARABEN FREE.
I honestly can't think of anything else that I actually NEEDED early in pregnancy...the baby needs a lot more stuff than I did to be comfortable! I bought a Snoogle and ended up hardly using it at all as I still sleep wedged between four normal pillows, I found it too hard to move around with the Snoogle. Some people love them though!
Completely Bare don't grow THERE Body Moisturizer & Hair Inhibitor with Shea Butter & Natural Plant Extracts that help reduce hair growth - Lemongrass & Green Tea Scent 6.7 oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008PF3U3Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_HWU4CbVFM37VY
I LOVE this stuff.❤❤
Finished restoring this Northfield, put it through a shave test before heading out tonight.
I love blades with old folk art handles. When they enter my shop, I push for preserving the character as much as possible.
I started by removing the active rust, leaving a bit of pitting and staining behind. Took it to a high polish, and then forced a patina on the blade giving it an aged gunmetal look.
The edge was in rough shape, so I had to hone at 1K for a long while, giving the edge a "rough" look - which fits the style of the blade nicely.
In the end, it looks no newer than when I started, and I'm very happy about that.
Some pics of the process here.
A great shave, 2 pass BBS. A testimony to old steel.

It's actually not Shea Moisture--it's pure shea butter that someone else recommended on this sub! I think this is the one I got (off of Amazon). I've also used grapeseed oil before and liked it. Some say jobajoba or whatever is the best. Others swear by coconut oil, but it can cause you to breakout depending on skin. Coconut oil makes you smell great though.
Gel I use Deva Arc AnGEL because I got a giant bottle at a discount. Then I put LA Looks (the blue one) on top because it has a strong hold and I live somewhere that's really humid. Not sure I'll buy Deva again. It works well, but is a little out of my price range...
Hi there!
I know I'm replying to this very late (the modqueue buried it!), but I just wanted to let you know that Automod has removed your comment because it contains an Amazon referral link.
Could you please edit the URL for the Palmer's Swivel Stick and Burt's Bees Sensitive so that everything from (and including) "tag=" is removed? That way, the product page will still be visible - but no one can make a profit from the link.
Here are the tag-free URLs for an easy copy & paste:

If you've done that, please reply to this message so I can approve your comment. Thank you!
I'm a big fan of the Unrefined Shea Butter. It's a solid that gets creamy when you rub it in your hands, but will stay on and keep you hydrated for like, 12 hours. It doesn't smell, but if you want to spruce it up, the seller will send you an e-recipe book so that you can make it into more of a lotion with essential oils or other cool things you can do with it. I keep a big chunk of it in a half size mason jar in my bathroom. It works on the heels of your feet, elbows, it's good for psoriasis and eczema. I just love it, and it's dirt cheap for the amount you get.
I'd definitely get a second test done, if only to confirm the results of the first one. But, it's also possible that one allergy is making you hypersensitive to everything so if you could eliminate that the rest of your symptoms would at least decrease.
For your skin, try some raw Shae butter (like this) and switch to natural soaps like Dr. Bronner's.
The only other thing I can think of would be to try to incorporate fermented foods into your diet. The live bacteria in sauerkraut, kimchi, &c as well as sheep/goat yoghurt and kefir could help build up the good bacteria in your gut and help it deal with the other food you (want to) eat.
This is our new baby we just picked up today. Her name is Kairi (from a character in Kingdom Hearts) and she's still a little skittish, but she fell asleep next to my husband and I had to get a picture. She also has something wrong with her eye which made the person giving her away think we wouldn't want her, but we couldn't pass her up.
If I won, I'd love to have some shea butter so I can make some scrubby bars :)
You can buy a one ounce tube at most beauty supply stores for around $1.50. It's usually in the ethnic section. I started out with that and now buy it by the pound online. It's especially effective if you melt it (I use a candle warmer. I know, it's kind of weird, but effective).
This is the yellow stick that you will see in stores.
It's amazing, and super cheap. I can even use it on my face and it doesn't break out.
edit: If you have a hard time finding it, let me know. I have about 6 pounds of it from my last order. If you want to PM me your address, I will mail you some to try.
Lose weight slowly, exercise and hope for the best! Depending on how tall you are, 190 isn't terrrribly overweight in respect to dealing with saggy/loose skin.
Some people swear by this stuff but I haven't tried it.
I'm 5'5 and I've gone from 230+ down to 135 in a year and a half and I do have saggy skin on my stomach and partially on my upper, inner thighs. Pic for reference. It isn't ideal, but if you consider where I started from, my skin has performed some miracles. I think it will tighten up over time & when I lose the last bits of fat that are hanging around. (I'm pretty sure I was like 90% fat at my highest because I never, ever worked out and was extremely sedentary so I still have a good amount of fat left now that I'm down to 135)
Trader Joe's Coconut Body Butter! I LOVE this stuff! I wouldn't buy it from Amazon though. It's half that price at the actual store. :)
Edit- A good salt scrub does wonders for me as well.
I have super dry skin. Try this stuff, it’s amazing. Put it on at night and wake up to a better face! Organic Butter Cream Blend of Almond, Castor, Lavender, olive & Grapeseed oil with Vitamin E. And it’s only $12 for 3.4oz!!!

Cocoa butter is great, they sell it in sticks now.
A more expensive but possibly more effective solution is to apply vitamin E oil. My dad had a nasty scar on his hand and this made it disappear. They sell it in capsules but I recommend just getting a bottle.
Palmer's Firming Butter seems to be the most popular choice; a lot of people report good results. I started using it about two weeks ago; I lotion my entire body every night after my post-workout shower, and I feel like it is doing some good. It will be a while longer before I know how effective it is.
Happy birthday!
Shea butter beauty treatments are the best.
I've been battling moderate hormonal acne for the past three years. Just recently I've actually made some progress and here's how;
Keep your skin hydrated. When your skin gets even slightly dry it freaks out and starts producing way more oil which results in more acne. I know it may seem like a good idea to use a bunch of cleansers 2 or 3 times a day, but this is the worst thing you can do.
I used to use a lot of salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide cleansers, and since I completely cut these out of my routine the results have been incredible. They dried out my skin way too much, even if I put on multiple layers of moisturizer directly after a shower.
Here is my current routine:
Morning: Wash face with warm water. Rinse with cold. Apply a thin layer of Cetaphil. This product is a very gentle cleanser that always works as a moisturizer . It's awesome, if you don't believe me read the reviews.
Afternoon: Wash with warm, rinse with cold. If I plan on going outside; sunscreen. If I plan on staying inside, I put on thin layers of this moisturizer.
Night: Shower. I don't use any cleansers in the shower, only water. After showers I dab the benzoyl peroxide cream that comes in this kit on all of my active acne. Then I put on a rather thick layer of the moisturizer I mentioned before on the rest of my face.
Gladly! 🤗

MAKES ABOUT TWO 11 OZ JARS
Amazon. If they don’t sell it on amazon I don’t buy it lol.

I’m going to look into flawless for sure
You should definitely try doing it yourself. Pick up the sally Hansen facial wax strips for $5 on amazon. Rub them in your hands before slowly pulling them apart.
Recommend alcohol or pain pills lol
I’m on pain meds for my period. So I wax during that time of the month
After every shower I've been using Argan oil and this shea body butter The Argan oil has been great on my face too... it's actually helped balance out my skin tone - I was getting super dry, rashy cheeks and then greasy acne on my chin and nose, ugh. Anyway both that and the body butter have been awesome so far!
I love using this stuff . Goes on kinda greasy, but soaks in and leaves a gorgeous sheen (and hydrates the house). 10/10 imo.
Edit: the Amazon price is a little higher than what Walmart sells it for. Typically about $5 there!
I think shea moisture at walmart and gnc has a bar designed for skin like that. You could try drinking more water and eating more healthy fats. Just an idea. Hope it gets better.

I just finished the last of mine and I really will miss it. I don't think any of the other Lush lotions are meant to be firming.
Right now I'm just trying to get through my hoard of lotion (Lush and otherwise) so I'm not focusing on a firming lotion BUT I did some googling for you and it looks like Palmer's is a cruelty free brand that has a bust firming cream and a firming butter, I had a roommate once who used these products and they tend to be pretty fragrant (not necessarily in a bad way), as a warning. Acure Organics (also cruelty free) has a body firming lotion.
Unfortunately I haven't tried any of these but they seem to have pretty decent reviews. :) I hope this helps.
cocoa butter, typically used for pregnancy, but I believe it helps for scars as well.. Nothing really eliminates scars though. I believe it just diminishes the appearance by lightening it.
For this price it is definitely worth a try!
I use TO Squalane Oil and I love it! I think it is out of stock now though because of Black Friday. I also have Timeless Squalane Oil and I like it as well! Lanolin is by my favorite occlusive – it’s also lovely as a lip mask especially over a layer of Aquaphor.
I use Sky Organics unrefined shea butter. Amazon link. What I do is I scoop out give or take a pea sized amount, warm it up in my hands, then mix in a pump (or half pump depending on how I feel) of body lotion or a few drops of oil. I do this for both arms, then for my stomach, lower back and butt, and then each leg on its own (I get dry legs so I use a generous amount). It’s not the most elegant to use and feels a bit gritty but the results are so worth the effort! For my chest and upper back though, I mix a small amount with Squalane Oil and my essence as my body lotions break me out there!
You might go in a completely different direction and make personalized beauty supplies. Possibly a bath bomb or a salt scrub, a simple lotion, an even simpler shea butter recipe which only two ingredients, just whip them, and plain shea butter can be cheap in bulk, you just need to whip it with an egg beater for a minute. It's a but greasy but absorbs into dry skin quickly and is super moisturizing. You can even make things with your own honey. Ask your mother-in-law about her mother's skin type and any possible conditions.
This. Although I like another brand. The sticks are amazing and you can carry them on you easily.
Cocoa Butter Stick
I've been getting them, as I figured I would. I have however been using this and it has already started lightening them. If I know I'm going to get them, at least there is a pregnancy safe way to treat them a bit early :)
Get some pure 'African Shea Butter'! It's the yellow chunky looking stuff found online and in beauty stores. Rub it between your hands to make it oily then apply to scars/burns/damaged skin. It has Incredibly high vitamin E levels and will work wonders for any scar!
Especially since she's so young too. It cleared up my motorcycle exhaust burns very well. Can also be used as lotion, sunscreen and lip balm.

Amazon. Some links below for ideas. I've purchased all of them, and haven't had any problems with them thus far. Essential oils just search for - obviously that's where part of the experimentation comes in. I use a mix of Frankincense, Amber, Cade (SUPER STRONG SMELL!!! very smoky), Black pepper, and sometimes Sandalwood. You can probably go to a Whole Foods - or similar - and find some essential oils to smell to get ideas too.

I usually buy this from Amazon. It comes in a one pound bag so I just scoop out about 1/6 of it into a jar which lasts me for weeks each time.
It's really easy to use, and I mainly use it on my body right after showering. The texture is kind of like cookie dough at room temperature so I just rub it between my hands before spreading all over. It absorbs quite quickly. I had a lot of scars on my legs from childhood eczema that wouldn't go away for years. They are all gone now (disappeared completely after about 1-2years of shea butter) so I'm like a walking testament to the its magic prowess. (:
What the hell is he doing to the back of his head? Did he recently shave it - more sensitive?
Get a good aloe vera cream or some good shea butter. I use this for my face - apply after each roll and by morning am good to go. Helps with the BJJ facials gi's can cause.

Shea Butter - I use for the cracked skin on my fingers/hands:
https://www.amazon.com/Shea-Butter-Sky-Organics-Moisturizing/dp/B0186TDM1U/ref=sr_1_6?keywords=shea+butter&qid=1570636599&s=hpc&sr=1-6
I need this because I want to learn to make chap stick and it is also good in hand lotion. Or even this Either one .
This is the brand I've bought from the beauty supply store for years. Reviews on Amazon seem to indicate some packaging issues from certain sellers, though.
Cocoa butter is amazing. Make sure it's 100% pure though, there are varieties with wax, fragrance, etc. in them.
http://www.amazon.com/QUEEN-HELENE-Cocoa-Butter-Stick/dp/B000GG7NU8
Edit: I find this stuff at chain dollar stores.
You should be using something that is much heavier for the dryness -- something that has either a cocoa butter base or shea butter base (or just use shea butter or cocoa butter straight). One of my friends had the same issue and so I got him a tube of L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream which is great for work or on the go but I'd highly recommend using one of the butters at night.
As for the dry circle, I don't know what that is. I had them before and it comes up when the seasons change s generally I just slather on shea or cocoa butter. I'm not going to say ignore it but I will advise you to monitor it.
I wasn't sure if this would fit in product questions or diy, so I put it in misc.
Seriously though, I get that the brand is a lot of the price, but these are just pure ingredients. The brand didn't do much other than create packaging with their brand on it.
You can get all of these, with more product, for less than $15 on amazon with just a quick search and hardly any effort.
Squalene, 2 fl oz (60 ml):

You can get them for even cheaper if you bought them from ingredient suppliers as well.
Thanks! Do you think something like this would work ?
I just get a huge tub off of Amazon.
Like, literally huge.
I have low porosity 4c hair. Lately i've been i've been making my own moisturizing cream by mixing shea butter + glycerin + grapeseed oil. Some water in my hair + this cream makes it SO SOFT!

P.S. it's cool to see what products everyone loves, but it's pretty useless to others unless you let us know what your hair type is!
This stuff is amazing!!!!! Thanks for the contest :D
[this] (http://www.amazon.com/Aveeno-Active-Naturals-Moisturizing-Lotion/dp/B001459IEE/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1375084267&sr=8-3&keywords=body+lotion) or [this] (http://www.amazon.com/Vaseline-Lotion-Cocoa-Butter-32Ounce/dp/B004DBUAGG/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1375084267&sr=8-5&keywords=body+lotion) I've used both, the latter im using again at the moment. So good for the skin!
Bummer. Everything never works for everyone. : (
I got mine from this seller on Amazon. I'm only directly linking to the seller because it was legitimate shea butter. Lots of people get it off GoW, too.
The EltaMD Intense is the non-sticky, almost melty version of Vaseline. I don't find it makes my skin shiny whatsoever, especially when it sinks in. But if you put too much on, then yeah, you'll get a shine.
People who don't like Cerave tend to like Cetaphil or Vanicream. But I believe their creams/lotions are slightly greasier. That's the trade off. But worth a shot.
My wife was going insane from her eczema. She wanted to avoid cortisone even though the doctor said she can use it without worrying, so she tried this stuff which has helped her A LOT. It's still not completely gone, but she doesn't wake herself up scratching in the middle of the night anymore.
Also, that reminds me, I have to order some more. Thanks for the reminder!

So I can make some soaps!
Thank you!
CBD salve made with a full spectrum tincture and Shea butter. This is my favorite combo:

Cocoa butter works WONDERS. It's been suggested for a long time for birth stretch marks etc.
Something like this works:
http://www.amazon.com/Butter-Formula-Vitamin-Unisex-Palmers/dp/B001UHSVOY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1317942686&sr=8-1
I'm not entirely sure how well it will work for tightening up skin, so you may need to do more research on that.
Also keep in mind that you've lost A LOT of weight (congratulations!) but with that, you've had a lot more years of your skin stretching out than being toned. Just stay at it, try to build muscle and your skin will go back to normal.
You're also only 19. Give it a while! I know it's hard with the illusion of not "being sexy", but don't get discouraged!
I use African Shea Butter before and/or after running. It has helped keep my feet "fresh" and is also natural.
I use African Shea Butter 100% Natural 16oz
I use some lotion twice a day from Amazon that has helped fade my own. They are hereditary and some will go away in time. But I understand the distain for them.
What about this?
Or this?
Hair: ORS Hair lotion
Body: Nivea Body Lotion or Palmers Coco Butter
Face: Cerave cream and for the shaving areas Skin tight
I use Vaseline brand cocoa butter lotion or Aveeno Skin Relief
That and $8 will get you some Shea
a new batch of shea butter for my dry ass psoriasis prone skin. I also use it for the baby for her eczema.
thanks for the contest<3
I had a similar but more severe problem going through middle school. You can try mederma or scar creams if the scars are light (they didn't work for mine), but ultimately the only things that helped for me were lotions and creams with Vitamin E and time.
I used something similar to this
