> Ive played with a dslr which I assumed was the best available and toyed with the idea of getting a 1300d but I have heard mirror less camera's are better? aswell as the 4k availability.

Mirrorless cameras are better for video - but not necessarily for stills. That said, if you want both, buy a mirrorless.

> Another thing is lenses. I want to shoot moving subjects so Ill need a good zoom lens for animal photography(Hawks,Deer, Squirrels?) What type of lens should I be going for to achieve this?

You will want a telephoto for wildlife, but which one depends on how much you want to spend. Here are the lenses I recommended over in your [earlier thread] (https://www.reddit.com/r/PanasonicG7/comments/5i3szd/interested_in_a_g7_need_to_confirm_its_what_i_want/):

I have used

  • a lens pulled out of a $1 laser pointer (you get blurry edges, but it works well)
  • a cheap clip-on macro lens from a set that was ~$5 on eBay (better, but not crisp edge-to-edge)
  • a very large-diameter $18 Techo macro lens sold as “professional” (which yielded good results, but nothing I would call pro)
  • a $90 Moment lens (which is perfect, professional quality—as professional as iPhone photography gets, anyway)

Which lens you get depends on your needs: Does it have to be small enough to always be with you? Is crystal clear focus better or worse than blur and chromatic aberration? Any specific shots you want to get? What is your budget?

I have samples shot with the Moment lens and the lens pulled out of a laser pointer. I never really did a whole lot with the others. Nothing worth sharing, anyway.

They also have a deluxe bundle for $697.99 with a ton of extras and a 45-150mm lens. What is the best value?

League of Legends fan here! I'm also a male and a year younger than your boyfriend. I can relate to almost everything you said in that post (including the new macbook). Here is what I recommend you get for your boyfriend. I know I would love it.

Thanks for the detailed reply! I think I will go for the 55-210mm then as I am only a beginner anyways and will probably upgrade in a year or so as I advance. Another thing though, Do you know the difference between these two versions of the 55-210mm as one is more expensive the other?

I'm leaving my a6000 and moving to either a D5600 or a D7200. Is there anything about the D7200 that's truly worth the extra ~$500? I was thinking about saving the money by buying the D5500 and using that cash to get this bundle to get a fuller kit started:

In Tucson, we have bridges with tons of bats under them that come out just before sunset. Last week I took (I'm not gonna tell you how many) photos of the bats in front of the moon every day hoping to get a cool shot of a bat in front of the moon. This one is the most bat with most Moon I was able to obtain.

As the Moon got closer to full, it rose later and later making it more difficult to line up the shot. The day of the full moon, it rose after the bats came out so no dice, but I did get this neat shot the day before the full moon.

Photoshop disclaimer: I generally don't use PS but getting two subjects in focus where one is 50 feet in front of me and one 260,000 miles in front of me is outside of my skillset, so this is a composite. BUT the bat was really in front of the moon, I just masked off the out of focus Moon with an in Moon taken a few moments earlier (same exact camera settings).
