I personally think it's pretty great!

I wish I could give you some, but honestly, my focus is Yokai, and I don't have much on other cultures.

http://www.amazon.com/Monster-Spotters-Guide-North-America-ebook/dp/B001PO5Z28/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1420450847&sr=8-1&keywords=the+monster+spotters+guide

Closest I've got is this maybe. Kind of a small handbook of cryptids and folklore monsters from North America.

http://www.amazon.com/Element-Encyclopedia-Magical-Creatures-Fantastic-ebook/dp/B003IDMUMW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1420451037&sr=8-2&keywords=the+element+encyclopedia+of+magical+creatures

Scratch that, I have a hardcover copy of this too. It's a monster of a book, an A-Z collection of various creatures from cultures all over the world. Over 600 pages of entries, few, if any pictures, but tons of info.

My original focus was just horror, and it over time shifted to j-horror, and from there to Yokai and Yurei. I can recommend some good horror manga if you want though, or a good j-horror anthology tv series (with subtitles), haha.

This made my heart super happy! Sounds like my silly girl has a twin flame out there. I always joke about her making friends with burglars too.

I’m so glad she helped your kid feel more comfortable around dogs. Pittys can be very good at that :) My mom has always loved dogs, but had a huge fear of pitbulls, and was one of those people who thought they should be outlawed because they are aggressive and dangerous by nature. She came to visit me in Arizona after I got ruby and fell in love. When she got home she mailed me a book called I’m a good dog . Made me cry.

Jonathan Ames and Dean Haspiel also did The Alcholic, a graphic novel by Vertigo comics. Its really good and I recommend it to everyone.

Link to book description

I also recommend reading Jonathan's book of essays! I Love You More Than You Know

Oooh, have fun at your course! That sounds interesting! I only just figured out how to "copy and paste" in photoshop.

These earplug things because I can't study with lots of noise around

Less needed:

Han Solo Decal to scare off potential intruders

Cow Abduction Calendar - Because it's awesome

This book because I hope to do an after-degree in statistics and it seems useful

This movie because Halloween is coming!

Thanks for hosting this contest! <3

Hello self-publishers! For anyone interested in religious humor, I have an illustrated book called

God Gave Us Cats to Show Us Exactly How He Sees Us.

It's essentially a bunch of observations about how cat behavior must resemble human behavior in God's eyes (from a Christian perspective).

There's a print version and a Kindle e-book version which are linked on Amazon. If you want to display it at church, youth group, etc., the free Kindle for PC app is probably the best way to view it.

Price is currently $4.54 US; it seems to be tied to a fixed Canadian price of $5.99 and fluctuates a bit.

Here's the link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YMJG4VR

The 'look inside' feature for the e-book version shows the first three illustrations.

If you are looking for amusing/entertaining birding books, I would recommend Why Don't Woodpeckers Get Headaches? and Good Birders Don't Wear White: 50 Tips from America's Top Birders.

This isn't quite what you're looking for, but Bird Tales from Around the World is nice if you have kids (or just love bird folktales).

u/wine-inacan · 3 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

happy birthday to you and u/ladyampersand!!! I see you like cats and I'm obsessed with pusheen and this tumbler hope you have a beautiful day!

[Toast Meets World's Book!] (https://smile.amazon.com/dp/0062442171/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I3EAK7ATSW33RI&colid=2ZURI1O0V2N4S) I love her and she's so cute, plus she's a rescue and a puppy mill survivor <3 How awwdorable

u/LilDarlin · 2 pointsr/fffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu

My mom bought me this months ago ask a joke. Of course the boyfriend didn't find it very funny :P Anyway, great book for after a break-up too, I bet! :D I would rather have cats most of the time anyway.

u/MOONGOONER · 2 pointsr/ofcoursethatsathing

My Granny had a book titled "Games You Can Play With Your Pussy" in her house because she adored her cat. I'm pretty sure she read it with only half the intended entendre.

u/duckinwonderland · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Happened about half an hour ago. Went to gift someone so needed my card... went to look for my card wallet... couldn't find card wallet... panic!! Start running round the room panicking more and more. Boyfriend joins in to help look I start getting really worked up talking about cancelling the card and having to replace my driving license and the fact I've lost some money almost on the edge of tears when I look in my bag and it's there sitting on the top.

Me: looking sheepish

Boyfriend: not impressed

Oops!

Why on earth did I do that?

Wishlist item

I want it because it's obviously amazing. Why would I not need a pug's guide to dating?

Thanks for the comp! Soz about the card, I know the feeling too well lol.

u/Lexidh · 3 pointsr/Wishlist

My favorite story is of course the one I wrote myself, which happens to be a true story! I published it even =)

Catpasity

u/ooterness · 7 pointsr/wholesomememes

If you like this comic, please check out other work by Yasmine Surovec. Much of it is about her love of cats!

She's got the Cat vs. Human webcomic as well as several books. This one is from Cat vs Human: Fairy Tails.

u/cfl2 · 2 pointsr/Delightfullychubby

Pretty sure this is a repost, but the last time it was up I was inspired to buy the book that most readers here should have.

u/gregcor · 3 pointsr/IAmA

Movie: Probably Shortbus
Book: My town is fairly conservative, but we're networked with the county. Someone returned the Lesbian Karma Sutra the other day.

In general, the attitude with all staff is pretty much that there is no censoring at all when ordering books. People tend to order according to their personal biases (we've ordered a handful of incredibly biased books,) but there's enough diversity in the staff that things stay pretty balanced.

u/Gryndyl · 7 pointsr/writing

Heh, I took the plunge also, based on the same thread. I've got a couple of humor pieces up now, here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00655TSNO and here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0064RFESG

Good luck to you!

COPY CAT!!! This text is from "Excerpts from a Cat's Diary" by John Woodcock, published in 2009! Give due credit, man!

Edit: Or did you RIP it off from this youtube clip? "Excerpts from a sad cat" http://youtu.be/nP8x6InnqOM (which is pretty hilarious when narrated!)

If you think that you might be a werewolf, or know a werewolf, you should do yourself a favor and read the guide for the newly bitten: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/0767931939?pc_redir=1411899646&robot_redir=1

Remember, you are NOT a monster.

A book on cat confessions

I think it would be cool to read what people assume to be cat confessions.. Simple enough hah.

Cinnamon Toast Crunch!

u/efgevoid · 2 pointsr/milwaukee

This is the book, it is fiction for kids even. What a joke of reporting.
