4. YOSH Waterproof Phone Pouch Waterproof Case Cell phone Dry Bag Underwater Pouch Compatible with iPhone 11/X/8 Galaxy S10/S9 Google Pixel 4 up to 6.8"
- IPX8 certified YOSH waterproof case. For your safety, each YOSH waterproof phone case has been tested for 30 minutes underwater at a depth of 30 minutes. You can also easily enter the phone through the transparent window of the mobile phone case or make phone calls so as not to touch the dirt directly on the screen. (Touch ID and home button function are affected). For better experience, we recommend using without phone case.
- Multifunctional: sports such as skiing, diving, swimming, beach volleyball, jogging; normal trips such as on the beach, cycling, household use as in the bath, kitchen or at some point you want to operate with wet/dirty hands. Protects your item from water, snow, sand and dirt. This is why you free from the random dirt of worry during sports or outdoor activities. This protects your mobile phone from dirt and moisture.
- Sturdy structure – each Yosh waterproof underwater case with two strong closures protects your item from water, snow, sand and dirt. The edges of the body are secured twice. Both closures and fully surrounding edge keep the case waterproof function and durability underwater. You can put additional space in the credit card, cash and ID in it. You can also use it as an ice pack or other contents.
- Notes - *Water test is always needed before use. Instead of filling the phone either paper or fabric into the case and sinking it in the sink for a long time.
- Universal compatibility: the Yosh waterproof mobile phone case is large enough to be suitable for mobile phones up to 6.8 inches, e.g. iPhone 12/11 Pro Max / X / Xs / XR / X / 8/8 plus / 7 / 6s, Samsung Galaxy S20 / S20 plus / S10 / S9 / S8 / M20 / A50 / A40 / A20e / A9 / A8 / A7 / A5 / A5 /Note 8

I NEED IPHONE 11 CASE SUGGESTIONS!
I'm getting a new iPhone 11 because i dropped my previous iPhone 8 in the river; I had my phone in my hat and when I picked up my hat, my phone fell out, slid down the slippery rocks and off a cliff into the bottom of the river.
I want to make sure this never happens again with my new phone. Or if it does, that its retrievable.
The first thing the case should have is some grip, so it stops it from sliding and/or hopefully bouncing on slippery rocks.
The second should be waterproof so it protects the phone from continuous submersion if/when it does actually hit the water.
The last thing, it should be able to float, so I can see it and retrieve it if needed.
So far, ive seen these, which I may buy, but they are more of a "pouch" rather than a "case." I've also seen these, where it is more of a case, but it seems to me that the case itsself doesnt float, rather its the wristband attached that floats. This may be too small. If there is a better option in which the case ittself floats, id gladly take a look at it. Even better if it ALSO has the floating wristband for extra visibility.
Aside from this case, I am also looking for a minimal, ultra-thin, day-to-day case as well, so if you have any suggestions on a good quality ultra-thin, id appreciate it.
Ideally id like to have one case for when I'm outdoors at the river, and another minimal case for day-to-day use.
Any suggestions? Anything else I should look for in a case?
Thanks in advance.
I hope I'm doing this right...
1 = This shelter will protect me from naughty UV rays and subsequent burns while I'm studying transfiguration on the beach.
2 = This figurine. I need it with me at school so I can remember where I came from and who I'm becoming a totally awesome witch for. :)
3 = My babes will appreciate these blocks to keep them occupied building their own Toyland while I'm at class.
4 = I need to hurry up and read this before I hear spoilers, otherwise I may be forced to curse the spoiler-giver with boils. Whiiiich sounds like a good way to get expelled.
5 = I would love [this phone protector](http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AW2QT8I/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=14W2GPMO5NQZO&coliid=I69DBBI4I4X90&psc=1
) so I don't end up like my brother-in-law, who once forgot that his phone was in the pocket of his swimming trunks until he was in mid-air above the pool, about to cannonball. Who knows that kind of unexpected things could happen at school, what with nervous wand-wielders and magical creatures running about? I'd better protect my electronics from harm. Assuming, of course, that RAoAS3M is not like Hogwarts and that electricity will work?
Bonus = Here are some hooks I need for my dormitory at school. Gotta keep things tidy!
Thanks for the fun activity! Mischief Managed.
You'll want a dedicated waterproof mp3 player because the Bluetooth in your phone only has a range of about 10m. If you still want your phone poolside, just get one of these.
I don't know what your budget is, but I've used these and they're pretty great. Snug fit, doesn't come off from water resistance, and audio quality is good.
You need to cover the phone in those dry silica packets, leave it off and unplugged and hope 24 hours drying in something to absorb the moisture is enough to save the phone.
The battery not holding a charge could be moisture shorting the battery out or corrosion breaking the connection between the phone and battery. It doesn't take long for corrosion to start forming and if there is corrosion, then you're SOL. Same problem could be with the screen or any other component in the phone.
In the future, make sure you either leave your phone behind or put it in a dry bag. Last summer, I went down a river with some very tiny rapids with family. I stuck my phone in something like this: https://www.amazon.com/ProCase-Universal-Waterproof-Cellphone-Underwater/dp/B07PSL27VY/ref=sr_1_9?keywords=waterproof+case+phone&qid=1566242954&s=gateway&sr=8-9 - I can't remember what brand/model mine is, but it's similar to this. My mother in-law hit a rock the wrong way and started to spin, then hit another sideways and tipped over. Without thinking twice, I beached and jumped in to help bring her to safety. My PH-1 was around my neck and still in the dry bag, probably was under water for nearly 30 min, maybe less. Not a drop on the phone, all was good.
Just, if you get a dry bag, always test it before using it. They do tend to develop leaks. So stick a paper towel or something inside, then submerge it in a sink, bath, bucket of water, something to test it. Weigh it down if you have to. Leave it there for 30 min and then see if the paper towel inside stayed dry. If it did, you know you have at least 30 min (or however long you test it for) to keep your phone safe under water.
That one incident inspired me to get another dry bag for my nice point and shoot and I'm getting another eventually for my DSLR.
Check the hourly forecast on sites or apps like Weather Underground, which is saying that it'll probably rain most of the afternoon and early evening, tapering off around bedtime. It looks like it lets up during breakfast Monday morning and then again for the fireworks Monday night, so that'll probably be when you want to try seeing Happily Ever After. Tuesday looks like a dry morning, rainy lunch, and then it dries up around dinnertime.
Or the forecast could be wrong. Keep a forecast app handy, and make sure you've got an app with a good radar function, as seeing where the storms are and where they're heading can be a real godsend ("Oh, this storm is heavy, but fast-moving, we can just stay in the gift shop a few minutes then get on our way." "It's going to rain over Epcot for a while, but it looks like the worst of it has already passed Animal Kingdom.")
Good luck, and bring a waterproof case/sleeve for your phone, especially since it's how you make FP and restaurant reservations!!
IIRC liquid pool sold lockers for $30 at last year's pool party. can't speak for wet republic.
re: cell phones... i've seen a surprising amount of people use something like this which i find amusing because they look pretty cheesy but apparently get the job done. in the past i've used something like this to carry my stuff like phone, lipstick, cards/ID into LV pool parties.
Depends on how much you want to spend. Lifeproof makes some waterproof cases that I see people rave about on this subreddit. I personally took something like this to Hawaii. They're okay. My phone stayed dry but the pictures it took weren't super clear, probably because the plastic material obstructs the camera. Definitely not good to publish but definitely good enough to have a nice memory of it. I would recommend buying a more sturdy lanyard to go with it.
I just got back from 10 days there (left 2 days after they reopened from the hurricane!) and in the days leading up, the forecast said it was going to rain every day. It rained one day for a couple hours and that's it!
I go every September, and I've noticed that most of the rain they get are short cloudbursts that don't last long and then it goes back to sunny and hot, so hauling around a rain jacket is unnecessary. Just get a cheap reusable poncho and take it around. Or, get one at the parks. They're $10, but I've used mine every year for the past 4 years! (I also take it on Kali River Rapids in Animal Kingdom)
If it looks like there's going to be a lot of rain, consider wearing some waterproof shoes or slides that dry quickly. If you're like me, there's nothing worse than wet socks and shoes!!!
ALSO, this 2-pack of phone protectors really came in handy for us this year! For $9 you can't beat it! You wear it around your neck in a lanyard and they really do keep water out.
Have tons of fun!
As far as phones go, I have a few of these. I've taken my phone with me every time I've gone boarding, and I even used that bag to go snorkling and use my phone's camera underwater in Belize. When I used to push into the ocean from the beach with my board I'd have several waves hitting me and waist-high water, so the phone would always be submerged for that duration, and I've never had the bag fail. I DO test it regularly. You can never test a dry bag enough!!
For my camera, I'm testing out this bag before seeing if I need a better/more expensive type. Today was really successful! Definitely have to finagle a bit and have your settings at least close to where you think you'll want them the whole time, but overall it was a success! I would NOT take this bag underwater though. I would invest in an actual hard underwater case for that. But since I don't actually ever intend on the bag getting more than just a little wet from splashes or my hands, it works great.
It sounds like what you want is a pouch like this. I have a similar one for my phone but it's more for splash protection and just in case I drop it in the water, I couldn't say how effective these type pouches would be actually submerged.
I have a small pelican 1060 case that I usually store my phone and keys in. Again, i haven't dunked it but i would trust it a little more than the phone pouches for keeping things dry (I would trust something like the pelican 1120 even more) But it's not as handy and easy to carry as the pouch.
Here's the link to the videos and like one picture (lol): https://goo.gl/photos/r4f35eHQoeaN8q276
Link to the waterproof bag: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M31XOHJ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Pretty spacious. I have a clear case on my Google Pixel XL and it fits. If you do end up getting the bag and your pictures seems a bit fogged or blurry. You gotta wipe the clear outing because at the water park there was a few pictures where it was blurry due to the reapplication of sunscreen and it got on the clear parts of the bag. But after wiping it everything came back clearly.
Not a professional or anything. Didn't take much either. But just wanted to take videos for my sister to see because she didn't want to get to far out since she can't swim or never snorkeled before. The picture was there because I forgot it was in camera mode and not video mode. I was in the water for about an hour before heading back.
Have more pictures and videos at the water park in San Diego using this phone and bag but it has pictures of my friend in it and I don't think she wants it to be shared.
I've been putting my phone into the bladder slot/pocket inside of one of these: http://amzn.com/B00LBK7OSY
Granted you can't access your phone easily but it gives great peace of mind without having to keep something on your waist.
Where are you going that a Zip Lock Bag or one of the many 20 dollar waterproof bags would not suffice??
I mean, To each their own, but I hope you got this on ebay used for a decent price.
I throw my 6P in a Zip Loc or One of these When I'm at the lake and it works perfectly fine.
I used this one in the pool this passed weekend with my 1520, it barley fit! But sealed. Took some pretty cool underwater photos! It's one of the best

SwimPlan has a multi week program generating ability now. It is for premium members, but its not exorbitant ($30, I think?) and you can sign up and try it for free, but you have limited ability to generate and tailor your workouts. I like that they elaborate drills, and they have a lot of videos with premium, and I think I will be using the plan feature if I don’t like the workouts for the sprint tri program I’m going to use that is though Garmin and want something more challenging.
For me, recently I was using the random swimming workout generator before I went back to swimplan.com, so I got into the habit of writing the workouts on completely blank (unlined) 3x5 index cards. Started with putting them in snack-size zip baggies, but now I use a spare waterproof cellphone bag (this one). If you find you lose your place, you could use some kind of clip to underline what line you’re on, just make sure they aren’t too pokey or pinchy for your phone bag.
For sets with a lot of repeats, I use the lane line abacus to track. For long lengths I singlemindedly focus on my lap tracking and back it up with my Garmin, but even that can get messed up sometimes. Yesterday I decided to do flipturns on all the ends except when I completed 100yds, which helped me remember it, and to keep tabs on my pace with my watch.
Congrats!
Rainy days at Disneyland are a blast as long as you're prepared. You can look forward to lighter crowds than if it were dry, thanks to most AP's staying home. Bring:
One more word of advice: many rides shut down if there's lightning, even the tram to get back to your car. The downtime usually isn't very long though.
Concerning the waterproof phone case, we used a case that was more of a waterproof pouch like this. It is clear on both sides so you can use the camera on it and still see what you're doing as well.
As for waterproof-ness, my phone was perfectly dry and I dove down to at least 10-15 feet to get some video. The only issue I have with it is the water will interact with the screen through the case (as it is touch sensitive.) If you take a video underwater, it may do some weird things like random zooming.
I was using a Frieq Sack ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00AW2QT8I?vs=1) It works, but after less than a year it became brittle and I think that was the reason for the hole I found in it after it fell in the hot tub. There are lots of other waterproof bags and I am definitely looking for something that doesn't get brittle so quickly.
Zip locks are good, but I prefer having something a bit more robust. I learned that constant inspection of the bag is necessary.
I don't know about it being badass. But this is the only type there is to waterproof a device. With a pouch. https://www.amazon.com/Universal-Waterproof-JOTO-CellPhone-Motorola/dp/B00LBK7OSY/ref=pd_sim_107_7?ie=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00LBK7OSY&pd_rd_r=6YKFAT85B7Q37D05JVRM&pd_rd_w=ObjdM&pd_rd_wg=qcAII&psc=1&refRID=6YKFAT85B7Q37D05JVRM
All other "waterproof" shells or cases might be water resistant at best since they recommend against submersion. I guess, just being able to use your device underwater is badass enough, right?
You can try what I did while filming underwater. Get a pouch, I have similar to this one: Amazon and it works great.
Start filming out of the water and then submerge. It will stay recording without problems.
You can use volume rockers to take photos underwater or to take photos while recording.
EDIT: I found mine, I have YOSH brand, it is just perfect. I bought it after intensive research about underwater cases of all kinds. Here it is on eBay
Something I haven't seen anyone else mention yet but I use every time I go out is a lake map app (I use Navionics) on my phone. Having the ability to pick and choose spots you like vs just winging it should help you catch more fish once you start picking up on fish movement/behavior. Also being able to drop pins on the map within the app so that you can track where you've been or where you've caught fish.
If I remember right I pay $10 a year for it and it is 100% worth it. Word of advice though, get a case that has a tether so if you drop your phone it won't drop down the hole. Something like this should work
I always bring my phone off the ship to take pictures and stuff. I bought these which worked great around the water. The lanyard part of it was great for keeping it on my person.
The problem with that is you're not going to find what you want.

Any sealed item in a pocket, no matter the job, will inevitably wear down and lose whatever seal it has. The only solution is to get something you will actually enjoy and put it in a case or container that will hold it.

Pelican makes a wallet with a rubber gasket, and a good seal, but something like a phone waterproof bag would be something you could consider. You find them being sold at places like water parks and the like so people can post pics of their 3 year olds looking depressed in a pool. I've seen them work fine in those situations. They're on amazon for around $8 shipped.
I sweat a lot on rides, but even i've never sweated enough to damage my phone.
I'm honestly just curious what does your phone look like after a ride? Usually on mine I put screen inward so the screen will have some sweat on it (looks like raindrops on a screen sort of) but nothing else.
Also personally i think a pouch is the way to go, as they seem to be much lighter then any waterproof case i've seen. Here is an example of what i'm talking about: https://www.amazon.com/Waterproof-YOSH-Universal-iPhone-Smartphone/dp/B015N3GKWU
Unfortunately i don't own one so i couldn't tell you if it's good or not. It has good reviews though.
That does look interesting indeed, I like that it doesn't require batteries.
But I just thought of another possible idea, maybe putting any regular smart button inside of a waterproof pouch / dry bag. Does that seem like a viable idea? Not sure if those things would hold up in daily usage.
I agree with picking up a round for everybody.
I would also seriously consider picking up one of these waterproof bags for phones for everybody. Yeah, they look a little dorky, but I assume everybody is going to have their phones with them and this way you won't have to worry about them getting all sandy/lost. And if you all do want to go in the water, you don't have to worry about leaving your phones/credit cards on the beach unattended.
These will probably be far more useful than a drink-holder.
those cases will be heavy and bulky af. just use those water proof bags like this one. I got one since iphone 4 and it still works perfect now(it's easy to tell when it stops working).
https://www.amazon.com/Universal-Waterproof-JOTO-CellPhone-Samsung/dp/B00LBK7OSY/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1521610994&sr=8-3&keywords=underwater+phone.
Something like this might be a good reusable alternative. I had one at bisco so I could swim with my phone and it worked pretty well!
I got one of these. Works great, easy to put on. I don't even have to take my case off.
I got you man. :)
I'm sure there are better ones though, that was me doing 2 seconds of shopping around.
Not at all a silly question! I asked the exact same thing almost a year ago and this subreddit gave me the suggestion to get one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Universal-Waterproof-JOTO-CellPhone-Motorola/dp/B00LBK7OSY/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1482528338&sr=8-5&keywords=dry+bags+iphone. Worked great - and we were highly amused by another young couple on St. Thomas that got into a big argument, pointing and yelling at us, about why they hadn't thought to do this and the husband was now stuck in the water with one hand overhead at all times to hold up his phone.
a few things to remember:
to be safe, you could consider using a waterproof case like this.
I found a cheap waterproof pouch on Amazon that I use at the pool or beach or water park! They're really handy and do a good job at protecting your phone.
Edit: here's a link to a good one!
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01I1430WQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_4dPGzb2PW4DD1
What htrwbr posted would work, I was also going to say you could also look into bike mounts for more options, but the pole diameter could be an issue as bike tubes are generally much larger.
Now a lot of people are going to say this is a dumb idea, and I generally agree, I don't think you will A) want that extra weight and B) want it all on one side. Assuming you want quick access to your phone for mapping/tracking purposes or similar, perhaps a lanyard case would be better?
Also a more expensive option could be an Android Wear or Apple Watch. Not sure of the mapping options on the latter but there are several on the former, and ways to sideload full apps onto them to get anything you want though it may not work the best.
A phone in a water proof case is exactly what I do. I have a clear waterproof pouch that I put my phone in and a makeshift mount made of a large binder clip with large bolts zip tied to the arms. You can adjust the angle of the shot by moving the arms. The bolts weigh the phone down and act as feet so your phone stays upright.
I find that the front facing camera works best because it's a wider angle and you can see your shot as you adjust your phone on the bottom of the pool.
These are super popular in Taiwan. I was blown away by how many people use them compared to the USA
I would recommend getting a grifgrips patch or something similar.
I personally keep my receiver in a waterproof bag, something like this: https://smile.amazon.com/Universal-Waterproof-JOTO-CellPhone-Samsung/dp/B00LBK7OSY/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1519062800&sr=8-3&keywords=waterproof+phone+pouch.
Also, at least in my experience, when I am submerged in water, the receiver doesn't receive information from the transmitter very often, if at all. So I always make sure I have my meter, too.
I got this one:
http://www.amazon.com/FRIEQ%C2%AE-Universal-Waterproof-Carrying-iPhone/dp/B00AW2QT8I/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1414070072&sr=8-4&keywords=frieq
$10 on amazon, and the window is the perfect size for the screen. Pictures look decent through the back as well.
I have one of these. I bought it for another phone, but it fits The 6P like a glove as long as you don't have a case on your phone. The fingerprint scanner does not work, but you can type in your password. I have been swimming with it, it works. I can post underwater pix, I'm just waiting for the manatees to come in for the winter.
Make sure you order the one that reads "Universal size fits all Large Smartphones up to 6"," not the 5.3" one.
Update, pictures.
Float strap not included, but recommended.
I think you'll struggle to find a pfd with a waterproof pocket.
Even if you find one I would suggest doing what others say and getting a small waterproof pouch to put in your pfd pocket because the waterproof part would probably wear out way before the rest of the pfd, so better to be able to replace it separately for a few dollars.
Also the most important party of a pfd is how comfortable it is, better to be able to shop for one based on that than based on if it has a waterproof pocket.
I use something like this, but not this one exactly: https://www.amazon.com/Universal-Waterproof-JOTO-Cellphone-Samsung/dp/B00LBK7OSY/
If you only care about water, keep it in your normal everyday case and then put it in something like this:
http://www.amazon.com/JOTO-Universal-Waterproof-Snowproof-BlackBerry/dp/B00LBK7OSY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1452893768&sr=8-1&keywords=cell+phone+dry+bag
I recently bought a waterproof case with a lanyard. I can wear it around my neck and tuck it between layers of clothing. Keeps my phone dry, keeps it close to me as a heat source, and is easy to access and use for a quick text or pic. This is the one I have. It is large enough for an iPhone XS Max with a bumper case so it should fit most phones.
I run in the rain, unless it’s heavy downpour that would create dangerous conditions or poor visibility. Caution and keeping my eyes on what’s in front of me is how I prevent slipping. I generally slow down a tad bit too. Having good shoes with tread that’s not worn too thin is also helpful.
Ziplock bags, the water proof phone cases they sell for vacations on amazon, or the arm bands that the phone goes inside are good waterproof options
Universal Waterproof Case, JOTO CellPhone Dry Bag Pouch for Apple iPhone 6S, 6, 6S Plus, SE, 5S, Samsung Galaxy S7, S6 Note 7 5, HTC LG Sony Nokia Motorola up to 6.0" diagonal -Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LBK7OSY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Ca-SCbNRR7ZZY

This seems like a better, cheaper option to me. Q&A Section says it's Nexus 5 compatible.
I second a phone lanyard, I got a waterproof one a while back for a river float and now I use it for festivals too. I know where my phone is at all times and I know it's safe from rain/spills etc. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072C9CS9Z/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_iTJIDbAZ4NJEF
I bring a water proof case for phones like this.
https://www.amazon.com/Waterproof-Universal-Snowproof-Lifetime-Warranty/dp/B015N3GKWU/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1473245125&sr=8-9&keywords=phone+waterproof
I wear in on me into the water. There's enough room for your phone, cash, and your room key card, or if its normal keys i get a carabiner and clip it to the strap.
That's all my valuables, clothes and stuff I'm not worried about being stolen and just leave on the beach.
IMPORTANT!! Test it with some paper towels inside before you leave, You don't want to use the $500 phone as a guinea pig. I've had a close call or two.
The pouch types work well, are cheap, and are pretty universal:
Mpow 097 Universal Waterproof Case, IPX8 Waterproof Phone Pouch Dry Bag Compatible for iPhone 11/11 Pro Max/Xs Max/XR/X/8/8P Galaxy up to 6.8", Phone Pouch for Beach Kayaking Travel or Bath (2 Pack) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01I1430WQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_snF0DbPTCC25Z
I have one of these

May not be what you're looking for because it is a little harder to type with these on, but I used mine on a tubing trip down a river as well as every time I use my hot tub. I figured with the price difference between a LifeProof and that it may be worth a peek!
Yes it was in a water proof case like this link.
The phone is water proof with an ip67 rating.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B015N3GKWU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_RPH4BbP459YSY
A waterproof case for his phone. This is the one I have and love it.
https://smile.amazon.com/Mpow-Universal-Waterproof-Compatible-Protective/dp/B01I1430WQ/
2 for $8. They're more than adaquate to protect your phone from any amount of rain or dust.
Waterproof can be nice, but it's not like I'm going swimming with my $800 phone whether it says it's waterproof or not.
I've used these on the beach. Probably worthwhile for hunting or dusty work environments.
Nice to meet you! I know lots of people have asked you what your favorite ted talk is but which one do you think was the most revolutionary??
I think the coolest thing I have on my wishlist is this: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AW2QT8I/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=3M6MEO2JPDC5R&coliid=I1ZNKLZ0QPH83M&psc=1
You can go swimming with it!
I bought one of these last year:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ID1H7VS?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
Clunky and takes some getting used to, but you’ll leave the festival with your phone.
Wipes for the beach (makeup wipes, baby wipes etc.) Sunscreen. Carabiner clips to hook your flip flops, non-glass water bottle and other items on to your pants/fanny pack/backpack, whatever. A folding hand fan was a total lifesaver last year! Waterproof pouch for your phone in case it rains (ie: these.) Comfy clothes! I didn't feel like it got too cold at night last year but I kept a sweatshirt in my locker just in case.
Well, it's not really a case but more of a small bag, something like this: https://www.amazon.de/gp/aw/d/B019SL4Q42/ref=pd_aw_sim_sbs_201_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=8FZPJA22EST4EZWH857M&dpPl=1&dpID=81KNSjBI0SL
this could be useful actually, then once you wash up you can just pop it out and have a vanilla experience, looks like the "case" would be easy to wipe off too, no nooks and crannies to collect build-up
plus it's 10 bucks you can literally not go wrong
edit whoops I think it's too small for the Plus, my bad, maybe another one in that same style exists because I think that would be ideal (I worked in a metal shop once, so much coolant)
I use the iOrange waterproof case (more like pouch) and they worked flawlessly. I took it to the pool and recorded my kids swimming both above and under water. After about an hour there was not a single drop of water inside.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01FZ72KDC
I keep seeing people put their Phones in these. They arent recommended for more than I think 40 feet underwater, so you should be good. The biggest thing is making sure it stays secure and you don't lose it while on the wave runner.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01I1430WQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_jrNxDbNFE2V0Z
This was just the brand I saw with the highest rating and a high number of reviews. I think the dimensions work but I would double check.
Depends on how important waterproofing is to you but one of these has done me well.
https://www.amazon.com/Universal-Waterproof-MoKo-Cellphone-Armband/dp/B00ID1H7VS/ref=cm_rdp_product
Then you can get whatever case you want otherwise. I combo Spigen Rugged Armor with one of those.
https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Rugged-Google-Resilient-Absorption/dp/B01M1DZT8K/ref=sr_1_3?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1482258826&sr=1-3&keywords=rugged+armor+google+pixel+case

You will have a blast, and you are at the perfect age to be seeing the Caribbean.
Excursions
St. Maarten - we have done two different excursions here. Our favourite was a Bernards Tour of the island. It was $45, and took us around the entire island. Went to an area with tons of Iguanas, saw Orient beach, shopping and lunch stop in Marigot, stop in Moho beach to see the planes come in. Learned a ton about the isalnd and it's history. We also did the butterfly farm and Orient beach afternoon (word of warning you will see semi-nude bathers).
St. Thomas - We took the $3 open air bus to the town centre, and just walked around. Had lunch at Greengo's (a cool tex-mex place) and shopped at a ton of unique shops. Previously we took a tour over to St John's Island and spent the afternoon on the beach.
When going to the beach, we just throw a top over our swimming gear, and go that way. No real need to have loads of clothing with you. All the ships will provide towels as you leave the ships. Chairs you can rent for the day, depending on the beach.
Leave everything of value on the ship, and only take the bare minimum (ship card, photo ID, credit card and some cash). Get a waterproof case [like this] (https://www.amazon.com/JOTO-Universal-Waterproof-Samsung-Magenta/dp/B00WXFSEDU/ref=zg_bs_9375358011_22?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=BYSTV7HPC71N9QG5JMS1) for your cellphone and cash, and keep it with you. Most people bring way to much stuff when they go on an excursion.
You already have the case and screen protector most on this sub would recommend. The only thing I would recommend in addition to that is this. It's a plastic "pouch" with lanyard that will protect it from water if you go to the pool or beach. You can still use the phone inside the pouch and it fits even with the case on it. It's 8 bucks for a 2 pack. I keep one in my car just in-case. This is a cheap soultions to if you need to take your phone to the pool but not for unexpected wetness.
You can also use a waterproof neck pouch for your valuables.
What about one of those waterproof bags for your phone & car key?
Like this
OR a hard case and carabiner like this
Don't leave anything in the car you wouldn't want stolen. Either leave it at home or carry it with you. Lots of theft around here.
does he actually use it as a phone at work? if not rather than a case how about something like this?
I am planning on taking this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AW2QT8I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_BPWGybQ6PN0R7
It's not hard plastic and I think that's better for carrying it around..can take it to the beach and clip it to your shorts etc
How about this ziploc bag with double zip and a buckle. Seems a bit better than just a freezer bag.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AW2QT8I
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B071XGZ7LD/ref=sspa_mw_detail_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Something like this. I used to use them on my waverunner when I was younger. Never leaked.
what about something like this?
I think he means something like this
Some float and others won't depending on what you want
I would probably just get one of those waterproof bags for phones. Something like this. Especially since it's only for the beach, and I'm guessing you just want to keep out sand and salt water.
Hopefully this works. I'm on mobile.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01I1430WQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_1
You could try getting a waterproof case to put your phone and credit cards in, I just bought this one
String backpack with the following:
You can usually buy just about anything at the port; however, some items are extremely marked up (i.e. deodorant, medicine, etc.)
I was hoping for something more durable and reusable. Something like https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01I1430WQ/ref=zg_bs_9375358011_1/143-0823352-8471011?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=SPJ88SH0M1XN0Y406QFJ but a lot of them say they might not fit larger phones or defender cases, and this is both
And some of those float our have retention mechanism
Maybe look at getting something like this. https://www.amazon.com/Universal-Waterproof-JOTO-CellPhone-Motorola/dp/B00LBK7OSY/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1485498205&sr=8-3&keywords=waterproof+bag+for+phone
I like this one as it fits many cellphones up to 6 inch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01FZ72KDC
Have you considered something like this ?
Maybe try getting one of those waterproof pouch cases similar to a hiking map case. I have one for sailing and it came with some cordage to attach it to me.
Like this maybe https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B019SL4Q42/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_15n9yb64X1A7R
You could always use something like this? I've actually used a plain sandwich bag before, you don't need to take your phone out to use it.
Maybe something like this for the ereader?
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00LBK7OSY/ref=psdcmw_9375358011_t1_B008Y57OP2
What I did was buy this Tank Bag then remove the current phone spot and attach this with velcro.
If wanting to add acharging option from my experince so far the bag is pretty water proof so you could put a small hole to run the cable to change the phone and cut another on the bottom of that bag. Using a Battery pack vs a direct cable to the battery may be another option.
Since I like to snorkel I bought a waterproof bag to keep cell phone, ship's card, some cash, passport, and a credit card in when going ashore. This way I could always keep my stuff on me even when I'm in the water. It's so nice to have everything you need hanging around your neck and not have to worry about losing it or it going missing when you're not paying attention. I bought this one and it has served me very well but there are lots out there to choose from.
One of these has always worked well for me while rafting
You could, as long as your water is of reasonable temperature. I wouldn't recommend getting soap on it though since it leaves dirty marks on your screen.
For an extra layer of protection, get a beach bag for it (something like this). You can still use the touchscreen through it (though not fingerprint ID), and it will protect your phone from smudges
How about something like this? Haven't used it but it has a cord.
I'd go for a pouch like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LBK7OSY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_4q3GzbMHJE90N
Something that seals around the phone but you can still use the touch screen. Bulky but it probably won't matter in a kayak, has a lanyard too. Also isn't specific to a single phone.
I use a case similar to this http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00AW2QT8I/ref=pd_aw_sbs_1?pi=SS115&simLd=1 , I had purchased it for my note 3 and it worked very well. I use it with my nexus 6 but it fits very tight w/a slim armor by spigen, the one w/kickstand. No leaks and the phone is still fully functional under water, even the flash. It works in Salt water plus fresh water, and I mostly use it in an in ground pool with chlorinated water. The price was inexpensive also compared to actual device specific cases. The armband and neck straps work well also. I swim with my n6 using the arm band, no issues.

I have one of these. Throw my phone, ID, and one CC in and hang it around my neck. You can take pictures through it and use your phone while it's inside. Haven't found a downside yet.
Phone bags
Not a case, per se

I am heading out on a float trip at the end of the month and will be planning on getting a something similar to this
Waterproof cellphone case: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LBK7OSY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_vGfGxb9MB5NW6
Ive ordered this
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Waterproof-YOSH-Lifetime-Watertight-Underwater-Black/dp/B019SL4Q42
probably what GP has?
I just ordered one of these. I saw people using them at a pool recently.
You can get a small dry bag like this, put the fob in there, put it around your neck so the fob lays flat on your back, and stuff it into your wetsuit as you pull it on.
I believe it was this one: https://www.amazon.com/Universal-Waterproof-JOTO-Cellphone-Samsung/dp/B00LBK7OSY/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1523766098&sr=8-4&keywords=phone+waterproof+bag

I got a cheap waterproof case and taped some rare earth magnets to the inside. The lanyard wraps around the steering column and magnets hold it to the tank. Works with my gloves that are also touch enabled.
These are cheap and work.
This is the exact case I have
Have bought one for everyone in the family. Just went Jetsking and Parasailing last week and phone came back unharmed.
Yep!:)

You just need a waterproof pouch :D
You know any phone can be taken in the bath if you have 10 bucks right
https://www.amazon.com/Universal-Waterproof-JOTO-Cellphone-Samsung/dp/B00LBK7OSY
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M31XOHJ/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_LfPXDbJ2C1Z4P
Get one of these and just put your cards/cash and phone in here.
As the other reply said, you'll probably have to use a generic waterproof phone pouch/bag because there isn't a V20-specific case that is waterproof. At least not that I've seen.
Here's an example: https://smile.amazon.com/Mpow-Universal-Waterproof-iPhone8-Samsung/dp/B01I1430WQ/
Just double check dimensions since the V20 is a beast.
You can get one of those universal dry bags. Or a Ziplock bag?
https://www.amazon.com/JOTO-Universal-Waterproof-Cellphone-Samsung/dp/B00LBK7OSY/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=4NT7OXEL7ZTA&keywords=waterproof+phone+pouch&qid=1554438696&s=gateway&sprefix=water+proof+phone+%2Caps%2C201&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1
I ordered one of these and got a sensor. I'll let you know how it turns out.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AW2QT8I/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 <-- works for me
I use this when I go kayaking and haven't had any problems. There are a bunch of other brands that basically sell the same thing
What about a waterproof pouch case?
Might not be big enough to have a giant battery case, but this one fits my Note 9 in the Samsung Rugged case (which is a decently bulky case)
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01I1430WQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I use this and keep it around my neck. I've submersed it with a tissue in it and haven't had any leaks so I trust it with my phone, I've never had an issue.
My wife puts her phone in a smaller dry bag along with our keys and my wallet, which we then buckle to the front strap of my kayak.
I personally don't trust IP67 devices in the water for an extended period of time. I recently got back from vacation to the Bahamas and used one of those waterproof pouches. I recommend this one by Spigen: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M31XOHJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_4DbQBb2SGQ1KZ
That being said, I've dropped my Pixel 2 XL in the pool and was able to retrieve it out with no issues. As long as you let it air dry before trying to charge it and rinse it off so the chlorine doesn't get to it
Just look up "floating phone pouch" on Amazon. I went kayaking a little while ago and in the office they were selling these. Some have IPx8 rating. You can still take photos or use your phone, through the plastic, and if you drop it in water it will float on the surface.
This is similar to the one I picked up.

IMO everyone should have one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Mpow-Waterproof-Universal-Outdoor-Activities/dp/B01I1430WQ/
They're so damn cheap it's crazy not to have one around. I keep one at home and in the car. Perfect for situations where you might find yourself facing water damage.
Unfortunately no. Only option is bag-style cases like this: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LBK7OSY/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I use this when I think I am going near water-
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LBK7OSY/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_1?pf_rd_p=1944687702&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B008Y57OP2&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1429AKKF3QNFV2Q3P6Z9
I am not a skier, and this would not do anything for impact. However, the lanyard on mine is sturdy and I tie it to the key loop ring in my bag so if it does fall out, it doesnt fall far. There is risk of loss/damage once taken out to use it.
https://smile.amazon.com/Universal-Waterproof-JOTO-CellPhone-Motorola/dp/B00LBK7OSY
I have used this myself to paddleboard, and I have fallen into the water with it in my pocket a couple times - works wonders.
Seriously! I would have used... oh I don't know.... one of the many, many, many fucking options out there if it wasn't for this idiot spamming...
No, nowhere to lock things up. Leave almost everything in your hotel room. Get waterproof cases or dry bags for phone, room key, cash, etc. If you leave it on the beach, count on it being stolen. Something like this https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00LBK7OSY/ref=pd_aw_sim_200_1?ie=UTF8&dpID=41A3a0xk9xL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL100_SR100%2C100_&psc=1&refRID=JXB5K8C8ERA52R9K47AF
The only place I've seen with lockers is Hanauma Bay and that's not in Waikiki.
I just took this one snorkeling for a full week: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01I1430WQ
No problems at all. Phone stayed completely dry.
Thanks. I was ready to purchase it and then saw this review
I checked out the Joto one and it did look very similar, which gives some credence to what this guy says.
The problem is that some people on the bag you mentioned complained about water damage, while no one on the Joto bag has thus far.
I am now very worried and am beginning to forget about submerging the phone under water all together. Last thing I want is to damage it.
thoughts? is this 'purchasing review' an actual practice on Amazon?
