Okay, I've been product free in the bathroom for nearly a year now. Here's what i do!
I wash my hair with water first. Then if you are still oily scrub a bit with some Dr. Bronners castile soap. I also use Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar mixed 1/3 with distilled water. If I feel fancy I will steep some chamomile or other teas with the water for some added herbal goodness! The pungent scent of the ACV doesn't stick. So after you have dried off you won't smell terrible. Just search around on google and on r/naturalbeauty to find more information on all of this.

I brush with some baking soda from Mountain Rose Herbs and I sprinkle some Activated Charcoal on top of that. Oh and I use Tom's deodorant. Its the only antiperspirant that I've found that works for me. There are also organic options for perfume as well in roll on, spray, or bar scented oils.

Instead of using face cleansers/ pads I use something called the Oil Cleansing Method. It has done WONDERS for my acne. I used to be on on Accutane in high school and it hasn't really improved. You make an oil mixture and just rub it on your face for around 5 mins until you can feel the gunk coming out. Then set a warm, wet washcloth over your face until it cools. Wipe all of the oil off and your good to go! I used ACV afterwards if I need to tone my skin. You can also use this oil mixture as a moisturizer. Grapeseed is a great oil for this because when it dries it doesn't leave your skin looking oily. Essential oils are great for the OCM but not necessary. Tea tree is great with acne, I put a few drops in my palm with my oil before doing the OCM.

The best part about all of these items (ACV, Charcoal, etc) is that they can be used in many ways outside of the bathroom! Including cleaning and personal health.

Just check out r/naturalbeauty its more orientated towards women, but anyone looking to have a natural bathroom regimen could learn a thing or two. All of this sounds crazy to most people, I knowww. But if you have any questions just ask :)

/u/TrashyTripod & /u/gotsmile, you guys are going to laugh at how easy this is.

There are recipes online. Do a little googling about what soap ingredients have different effects, like I did a rose oil (omg, the scent!) and rose clay soap, which is good for skin, or honey and oatmeal which is more exfoliation. Some are better for dry skin, oily skin, or just neutral.

I buy everything from Amazon:

  • Molds: gems, bars, fun small shapes

  • Melt and pour soap base: honey, goat's milk. I'm picky and I only buy the organic stuff. Buy it sooner rather than later, it will sell out by the holidays! Learned that the hard way, last year.

  • Mix-ins: oatmeal, activated charcoal. You want everything to be food-grade.

    ------------

    How To

The soap base breaks apart into 1 inch cubes. In a microwave safe measuring cup, microwave 2-4 cubes in 30 second increments until melted. Stir in any oils, perfumes, or colorants (although I avoid coloring soap, personally; I like the 'natural' stuff). Pour the appropriate amount into your mold. Working quickly, in the soap-filled mold, stir in any large add-ins, like charcoal or oatmeal. Wipe down the measuring cup, repeat as necessary.

Leave the mold out at room temperature to set. Give it time (6-24 hours). Gently remove from the mold and wrap in cling wrap to avoid moisture beads from forming. Later, put the plastic-wrapped soaps in a little goody bag with a piece of colorful tissue paper. FYI, the tissue paper will stick to the soap if they touch.

    --------

    Tips:

  • Learn from my mistake: when you're done, wash the measuring cup and molds by hand. If you put them in a dishwasher, it will become coated in soap. This kills the dishwasher.

  • Buy 2 molds. Make a batch in the morning and again in the evening. If you use the bar mold, that gives you 12 bars per mold x 2 molds x 2 times in a day, or 48 bars for ~3 hours of work on a Saturday. You'll get faster as you get the hang of it.

  • How much soap base you need depends on the size of your molds and how many soaps you're making. I found that 2 lbs of soap base was enough for about 16 bars using this mold. But I didn't really like the shape of the soap in that mold because it was too deep.

  • If you're using heavy or large add-ins, it pays to let the soap solidify for a second before mixing them in, or it'll all sink to the bottom.

  • It's fun to combine with other homemade cosmetics gifts, like DIY lip balm or something, but that requires a whole other set of materials, so increases your costs.

  • More tips on how to avoid "weeping." This site is SUPER helpful!

Source Naturals Men's Multivitamin - this is the best multivitamin on the market in my opinion. i'm so happy charls introduced it to me. most vitamins aren't bioavailable for shit, so you aren't actually absorbing most of the stuff you're ingesting. however, this formula is crafted to be the most bioavailable multivitamin ever. good shit. if you don't get any of the other stuff, GET THIS. Charls introduced all of these in the Fallout 4 stream. He didn't go into much detail as to when he takes them. Although, he did say that he takes 2 fish oil gels a day. Just look some of this stuff up and see what works for you. Source Naturals Multi (3x a day) and Fish Oil (2x a day) is what works for me.

Ive seen a ton of people having success but I have yet to try myself. Just got back from some vacation time so this will be the next test.

Some are using HCI and Pancreatin separate and having success. They are some that needed to tweak how much of each they were taking to get it to work. Should be easy tp source from Amazon and pretty cheap overall.

Others have had to use a combo pill to help. Ill have this linked below. This is supposed to contain both and activate charcoal. Not sure why it would be different but I dont question our bodies anymore..

Charcoal. And not the dumb ones they package and sell as toothpaste for like $24, but like food grade charcoal. A whole tub of it is like $7. It works but you have to do it consistently. Like 3-5 days a week. That, and oil pulling. (Mouthwashing with oil).

I use this charcoal

https://www.amazon.com/Doria-Virgin-Activated-Charcoal-Powder/dp/B0131O1O3S/ref=sr_1_11_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1541655503&sr=8-11&keywords=charcoal

Literally just dip my wet toothbrush in it and brush away. And then I use coconut oil to oil pull.

I think your teeth are fine! Like other said, there's always Invisalign to straighten them.

For whitening, I like to use natural stuff like Activated Charcoal. You break open the pills onto a small dish, wet your toothbrush, brush for about 2-3 minutes. There's really not much of a taste and you get to look like a crazy person with black stuff in your mouth. Rinse and repeat once a week. Whitens little by little over time.

Here's the recipe for re-mineralizing tooth powder:

1.) Use a plastic Tupperware container, don't use anything metal to stir or store the powder (bentonite clay can pull things from metal). Square and shallow seems to work best.

2.) 1/4 - 1/2 cup of Bentonite Clay (depending on the size of your container), this is the brand I use.

3.) 3 - 6 capsules of [activated charcoal] (https://www.amazon.com/Natures-Way-Activated-Charcoal-Capsules/dp/B0006LCQ4Q/ref=sr_1_2_s_it?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1500301931&sr=1-2&keywords=activated%2Bcharcoal&th=1) - great for whitening - can stain grout so be careful when using! Just gently twist the capsule and dump the contents in with the clay.

4.) Clove and/or cinnamon to taste - optional.

5.) Mix ingredients with a plastic spoon or just put the lid on and shake gently!

How to use:

1.) Dip dry or damp toothbrush in coconut oil - I try for a pea sized amount sometimes more.

2.) Dip coconut oil covered brush in tooth powder, just enough to cover, tap your toothbrush on the edge to remove excess.

3.) Brush. I find it works better for me to spread the tooth powder around on my teeth before turning on my electric brush. Again the charcoal can stain grout, towels, etc. so be careful!

If you don't like or have coconut oil you can always just dip a damp toothbrush in the powder and brush with just that!

As for whitening my husband and I both saw a lot of improvement. He's an ex-smoker and it got rid of the tobacco stains on his front teeth after a month or so of twice daily use but YMMV.

I didn't do anything else besides use this mask.

I had to buy all the products separately, which I did off of amazon.

Bentonite clay: Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay, 2 Pound https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00N528HIC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_-D7KzbGNRD93G

Activated charcoal: Activated Charcoal Powder - Food Grade (1.2 oz glass jar) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0131O1O3S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_RE7KzbFEPCDAR

Apple cider vinegar & honey: buy it from your local grocery store. Though just get organic. A lot of people recommend the Bragg's brand in particular.

You don't have to buy those particular brands, but those are the ones I use and I loved the reviews/prices on them.

Everyone should have active charcoal for this very reason. As soon as you eat something questionable or raw like this, pop one or two and you don't have to worry about it anymore. If you take it within 30 minutes you should be ok... After that active charcoal probably won't work. Also works on pets that eat something they shouldn't. So take some random internet strangers advice and add it to your next Amazon purchase.

u/peaksy · 1 pointr/AskReddit

Activated Charcoal - Take one of these capsules apart and make a paste. Apply it to the bite and let it dry. I do it right before jumping in the shower because this stuff gets everywhere, but it works really good.

u/Ooglemuffin · 1 pointr/MakeupAddiction

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0006LCQ4Q?pc_redir=1406881398&robot_redir=1 it's not a whitening strip but they are AMAZING!!!! Open the capsule and rub onto teeth then spit out. Doesn't damage your teeth or gums and you'll see results in about 5 minutes. It won't hurt you if swallowed either though. Doesn't stain stuff. Plus waaay cheaper than the standard whitening strip.

u/Tokyo81 · 2 pointsr/Weddingsunder10k

You could try this first, as it's less likely to have any negative effects on the fabric.
I used activated charcoal shoe deodorizers and they took the damp dog smell out of my backpack after sealing it all up in a bag with a few for a couple of weeks.
Loose charcoal is obviously risky because it could stain the dress, but something encased in plastic like this or this may help.
Whatever you do, take precautions to keep the charcoal from coming into direct contact with your dress though.

Do you think it's better if I just get a mask that already contains activated charcoal instead?

Activated charcoal tablets- ever seen those $10 hangover cure juices from fancy juice bars? This is what’s in them. It helps filter toxins and undigested alcohol from your liver! Pop a couple before sleeping, a couple more in the morning, drink lots of water.

A few tips, use the Untapped app to find beer. I just did a search for New Grist in Lincoln Nebraska and there was a liquor store called The Still that said they had it. Not sure where you are, but Untapped may be of assistance.

Have you figured out her tolereance? My wife has celiac and she is able to drink a few Modelo Especials or corona’s without issue. They have low ppm of gluten. If your wife is ultra sensitive, then she would likely have an issue. This list is decent to judge.

Side note, my wife has found that when she had a reaction, taking charcoal tablets helps. It doesn’t cure it, but makes the reaction tolerable.

Have you tried a charcoal mask for the blackheads. It really works. My first time, I made my own. I used [Charco](Charcocaps Dietary Supplement Anti-Gas Formula, 100 Count https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LAEK1Q8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_tHNyzbVA41Q5D) caps and Emlers glue. But I'd say just get the pre-made mask.

I'm not sure about smoking it, but if you ate it, you can eat activated charcoal:

u/Illuminaziland · 8 pointsr/skeptic

> charcoal where it might actually cure something in a therapeutic dose?

First, charcoal does not 'cure' anything, it is sometimes used to bind poisons while they are still in the digestive tract. Second, the amount of activated charcoal in homeopathic medicines does not even come close to being a therapeutic dose, even pure activated charcoal 'supplements' do not even come close. The top hit on an amazon search have capsules with a paltry 560 milligrams, in a bottle of 100. In emergent poisonings the adult dose is 50 to 100 grams of activated charcoal, followed by 2 to 3 more doses of 25 to 50 grams each, you may use as much as 300 grams. The amount in homeopathic "medicines" is several orders of magnitude less than the therapeutic dose. A double of well aged bourbon probably has more charcoal than what you get from a homeopath.

u/zeugma17 · 11 pointsr/ketodrunk

I use activated charcoal. Take about 4 pills just after you start drinking and then another 4 halfway through the night. I’ve never woken up with a hangover after taking it. Just be warned, if you drink enough that you puke, it’s going to be black, and your shit will be almost black for a couple of days.
