I am a truck driver so I have a lot of experience. Chewing gum helps, but to me a caffeine pill is far more effective. There is a delay before the caffeine really kicks in, though, of about 30-60 mins I find, so it's best if you can take it well before you start driving. Also, the best of both worlds is caffeine gum. I relied extensively on this product back when I was a high school teacher and can highly recommend it. (Only reason I don't use it anymore is that pills are cheaper and I am able to get more sleep now.) Not only does it combine gum and caffeine, but even better the caffeine gets absorbed into your system and starts having an effect a lot more quickly than via a pill or coffee, more like 5-15 mins instead of 30-60 mins. Final note, remember that you will develop a tolerance to caffeine over time, so if you are relying on it regularly then it will become less effective unless you increase the dose, which might be undesirable.
EDIT: Also very effective is to turn the AC on at high power. Horribly effective is to keep a little spray bottle of water within reach, give yourself a thorough dusting of water all over (especially exposed skin like your face, hands, arms, feet if you are barefoot which I recommend), then turn the AC on full blast. Re-spray as necessary. I guarantee you will not fall asleep.
I WANNA GO TO BURNING MAN SOO BADDDDDD.
They're 3' by 3' and I just think they're awesome for organization.
For Burning Man:
Facemasks are always good and get a bunch of these to give to people. Great to not be dehydrated in the desert. And tasty to boot!
BONUS: Have a fantastic time, take pictures, and remember to share everything that happens.

By the way, of few of those say they were added August 3rd, but it was honestly at like 2 in the morning before I went to bed, so I thought they were added yesterday.
I love this kind of gum, it's called Ice-Breakers Peppermint and it lasts for fucking ever. I can chew a piece for about an hour before it gives out. It also happens to be the perfect blade bank. Just heat up a knife and make an inch and 1/2 slice on the top and you've got yourself a bladebank.
Don't want to go through the effort and peppermint isn't your thing? Try any flavor of Altoids. Just start using something because this will keep happening even if it doesn't happen to you. Someone, somewhere will filter through your trash at some point so do everyone a favor and please use something. <3 hope your finger heals quickly :)
Yeah. It definitely is. I got headaches which caffiene seemed to help. I stopped taking the salt for a bit to see if sweet gum spirits was more effective but I think the salt and c is the way to go at least for a bit bc the die off was more noticeable so seemed to be working well. Another helpful thing I'll be taking once a week is sweet gum spirits. Many people swear by this old time remedy that somehow seems to be erased from history.

Check out the reviews. I will definitely be taking a tsp twice a month after this and I've taken it 5 days in a row with no issues. Those things with a mostly plant based diet should get us in The right direction. 😊
Well that's an easier way around
I was thinking you might have wanted to commercialize the product.
The easy way around huh....
Um....Okay
Get some unflavoured sugarless gum
For instance:
https://www.amazon.com/Falim-Sugarless-Plain-Gum-5-Pack/dp/B0036ZH0S6
Now the flavours, Obviously you don't want a wad of gum that doesnt taste nice,
So get some sweeteners- Best- CORN SYRUP
Now mix hash oil into it
Take the unflavoured gum and try to infuse some of the syrup into it.It might end up being a bit soggy but it would work for the most part
Best of luck /u/FoxySheilaRedHead

Grip Gum - To Clean Grip Tape: https://www.amazon.com/Grip-Gum-DECK-4inch-STICK/dp/B002Q47538/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1468198288&sr=8-1&keywords=grip+gum
Rubbing Alcohol - To Clean The Wheels
Damp Cloth - For the bottom of the deck
That is pretty much it but here are some things that you should keep extra of in case of repairs that will come out along with the V2 - Wheels, Belts, Skid Plates, and a spare battery (all optional). To keep its longevity aside from products to buy, avoid driving in wet and/or rocky surfaces. If your board is smoking, making unusual noises, or performing different than normal, get off your board, power it down, and contact Boosted. All right. You've asked for it so I'm gonna give it to you, but don't think this is going to be easy; cultivating a manly jawline is a laborious and daunting task reserved only for the toughest men that have strutted the top of mount everest. First, you're gonna need big league chew. I'm not talking about a pack or two. We're talking about 7,358 bags. And that's only if you do it right. I would recommend starting chewing at about 6:15 AM every morning. The. Whole. Pack. At. Once. You should finish at least 8 packs before breakfast. Before lunch, you're up to about 48 bags. That's 8 bags every hour if you wait 4 hours until lunch, but don't wait 4 hours, wait 40 minutes, cause you'll be eating 64 meals a day on your new jawline enhancer diet. Once you've done this for a month or two, you'll be looking more celebrity-like than before, but not even close to perfect. That's why you'll be on the plan for the next 5 years. If anyone asks why you're chewing so much gum, make sure to acknowledge them with stern eye contact and tell them: "I'm doing what's necessary. I'm taking my shot." Then waive tactfully as you walk away. Remember, you're an aspiring jawline-haver, not an asshole.
I've never had lavender gum but I absolutely adore violet flavored gum and mints. The brand is Chowards. You can buy it at World Market but I like it so much I buy it in bulk on Amazon, haha.
https://www.amazon.com/Chowards-Scented-Gum-Pack-24/dp/B000EEFOB2/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1500487152&sr=8-1&keywords=Choward%27s
This chewing gum, marketed as military energy gum, is pretty effective. Sure it tastes a little medicine like. But what do you expect for 100mg of caffeine a piece. perks me up after a piece or two. cinnamon is my favorite flavor.
https://www.amazon.com/Military-Energy-Gum-MEG-Specification/dp/B0017O19Q2
Yeah the hardest times are the ones when you ALWAYS smoked (for me: driving, after eating, at the bar). The first two weeks are going to be pretty shitty. Just accept it. The nicotine will be out of your system within a few days and from then on, it's all in your head.
If you have to have something in your mouth, try these (you can find them at any health food store). They work wonders for oral fixation and they also keep your mouth stimulated (not to mention giving you fantastic smelling breath!).
Just make sure that for the next couple of weeks you keep mind over matter and you'll be fine.
I hadn't thought of it as stimming either, but I DO THIS. It is NOT good. I've gained 20 pounds the last couple of years (well, 15, I lost 5 recently trying to nip it in the bud).
I hate chewing gum (also hated pacifiers as a baby, so it's weird I stim eat, but I definitely do), but if I get an ice cold water with a random fruit in it or unsweetened tea that really helps me have an alternate.
I also try to find other things to do when I want to be eating - usually it's a secondary activity to something else (working, driving, watching tv). I find singing works as an alternative in the car. I'm still working on the other two, but I did buy a mini elliptical that can be used either standing or sitting, which I'm hoping will provide an alternative for work and tv.
Things I use when I can't help it: Bamba (PEANUT BUTTER CHEATO THINGS. Come on. They melt if you suck on them or you can crunch them. They're cheap and you can eat 40 for 160 calories. They're Israeli but Trader Joe's sells their own version for 99 cents. There are elephants on the TJ-version package); blueberries (I'll finish a pint), fruits and veggies cut into little sticks to make them easy munch finger foods; and a new discovery that only works because it's super intense and weird: C. Howard Violet Mints. They taste like a bathtub. I love them in all their grossness.
I wonder if you could use REAL gum and not experience bloating... as I said, I don't like gum. But I like it when things are just absolutely bizarrely flavored (see above). Check out Falim gum. It's Turkish and made with tree sap, which makes me feel like I'm either chewing on a pine tree or some really weird nonboozy gin. It's super chewy, too. Some people in the Amazon reviews buy it as a jaw workout.
In Turkey its pretty common to chew totally unflavoured gum. It's surprisingly nice, and zero calories, zero sweetener, zero everything really. Just chewy goodness.
You can get it on amazon
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0036ZH0S6/ref=cm_cr_arp_mb_bdcrb_top?ie=UTF8
https://www.amazon.com/Spry-Xylitol-Natural-Spearmint-100ct/dp/B000LT0SK2 I love this stuff! It doesn't last as long but the taste is good, and it's just xylitol for sweetener which is good for your teeth anyway!
This is how they sell it.
> Turpentine has been used as natural remedy for a variety of health problems for generations! Great-grandmothers used turpentine for a yearly "cleansing" for every member of the family or for her rheumatism and nagging cough. While the thought of using paint brush cleaner sounds harsh and foolish, turpentine could be classified as an herbal remedy.
>
> Herbal remedies are medicines made from plants, and that is just what true turpentine is! Turpentine is made by distilling pine resin from pine trees. Many essential oils are made by distilling plant material into a concentrated natural medicine.
I'm not linking to site, i don't want to give them traffic, but it also lists turpentine as being part of ''protocols'' for autistic children.
Want to know how popular it is, check out the amazon review stats here
On the Q&A section, the question is asked "The label on the bottle says this is not for internal use?", the response from the seller (and producer)...
>
> This is in accordance with FDA regulations.
>
> Also in accordance with FDA regulations, we do not give medicinal advice regarding our products. You are welcome to read customer reviews of our products to obtain the information you are seeking, or you can also seek out the advice of a holistic health practitioner.
> Thanks again!
So they're selling this snake oil, knowing they have to deceive the FDA to do it, and telling people to read the reviews for the ''medical'' advice as they know they cannot give any.
People do in fact drink turpentine. Despite the fact that it is in no way beneficial, and actually poisonous. Check out the reviews: https://www.amazon.com/100-Pure-Gum-Spirits-Turpentine/dp/B00KE62DWS
My personal favorites:
>This kind is for paint thinner not arthritis.
Also:
>This was a natural medicine before big pharma lobbied Washington to stop its medicinal use. Why? it cut into their profits. (Both my grandparents and their parents used it).
Mix 2-3 drops with a carrier oil (like natural sweet almond oil), blend it w/ a Q-Tip, put it on your soles, put on socks while you sleep. Or a few drops on sugar, sugar cube or a bite of something sweet like a cookie (When taken internally sugar is an activating agent - it attracts yeast, some microbes, parasites, etc). Yes it helps on a surprising large host of health issues from Lyme disease to GI issues to skin issues, etc. I've been using it for months. Data mine its healing powers on the net and you'll see. Remember before Big Pharma there were natural medicines and they still work. This is Not the same turpentine as you'd get from the hardware store. This pure gum spirits of turpentine, it comes from certain kind of Southern pine tree, just like maple syrup comes from maple trees up north.
And:
>I'm into my 3rd week now (yes,I had so many parasites I have to do the intense 4xweek protocol probably for 1 whole month at least. I had a smaller "bloom" of parasites after my second week (nowhere near the usual blooms, maybe 1/8 what I usually get). So I started a third week, and after the first dose of week 3, I stopped feeling the wriggling/biting sensations all over. I have gotten rid of a lot of candida, parasites, can think way more clearly. My husband started it too (he just finished week 2) and I can't believe his energy. He was one of those who never felt symptoms, but had a lot of gas, so probably had lots of candida, etc. He's way better now. Nuy yourself some black walnut/wormwood tincture and take 1 full teaspoon 1 x week to get them good and dead. Take clove daily to help kill the eggs. Check Dr. Hulda Clark online for dosage info about those products.
Gatorgum was pretty great - nowadays I buy Quench which is pretty similar.
Like you said it’s natural selection. For the people that don’t do the research. I guess your right thought who am i to be qualified to recommend this. But im not really recommending anyone try it. Just saying i will and report back on the results. Heres a link to the product im gonna try... just so you can know what we are talking about before jumping to conclusions. You know castor oil is safe right? Or are you just as opposed to it as the pine oil?
https://www.amazon.com/100-Pure-Gum-Spirits-Turpentine/dp/B00KE62DWS
Do gums like this Trident stuff actually help rebuild your teeth?
I understand gum is not a substitute for brushing/flossing, but, as I get older, I've found that I have issues with really cold foods at times. I'd like to help reduce that without costly dental treatments.
Grip gum should help you take solids off of your deck. It's just a chunk of gum rubber so you can probably find it raw for cheaper. Combined with the windex method and you should be able to extend the life of your grip by a lot. Of course grip tape is pretty cheap, but if you go through a lot it's worth it to clean it. I expect my grip to last the life of my deck, personally
I like Freedent. It also comes in spearmint.
Ingredients: Sugar, Gum Base, Corn Syrup, Glycerol, Natural Flavors, Sorbitol, Soy Lecithin, Aspartame, Acesulfame K, BHT (to Maintain Freshness).
Edit: Simply Gum appears not to have xylitol, but I've never tried that brand before.
Ingredients: Organic raw cane sugar, natural chicle base (chicle, candelilla wax, citrus acid), natural flavor, organic vegetable glycerin, sunflower lecithin, organic rice flour
There's some research which suggests that artificial sweeteners stimulate an insulin response similar to sugar. Also, some people want to break their psychological attachment to sweet things.
Falim gum doesn't have any sweeteners, natural or otherwise:
https://www.amazon.com/Falim-100-Chewing-Gum-Damla-Sakizli/dp/B005GR1WO0/
You might also try mastic gum, which is the main ingredient in Falim:
https://www.amazon.com/Chios-Mastiha-Natural-Mastic-Growers/dp/B00YSO7KN4
It's the dried sap of the mastic tree, and is alleged to have medicinal properties.
These candies- I have not had these in forever and they are ooo so yummy! If you like fruity things, try this!!
edit because /u/tragopanic is awesome!
Sure!
Looks like you have uneven muscles. Try to touch both sides if it's the muscle caused it. If it is, chew gum on the weaker side, but also chew in the stronger side, but less.
I recommend buying mastic gum
https://www.amazon.com/Greece-Chios-Mastic-Mastiha-Mastixa/dp/B008RT2UVI
It does not taste good but you can get used to it
Also, just chew over 30 minutes. Chew 20 times so you can't get TMJ, then switch on the other side but chew less on the stronger side.
Quench is a close second to this, but Gatorgum was still the best.
I do 100% soylent during the week and will usually have a couple solid food meals on the weekend. I chew this gum when I'm at work. It's stiff and gives me a good jaw workout. Sugar free and basically flavorless so I don't hurt my teeth or get cravings for any other food.
I started chewing this after I read a thread on here about mastication being one of the only ways to move earwax around in your ears.
https://www.amazon.com/Thrills-Chewing-Gum-10-Count/dp/B00EELO8KE Indeed!
I have never seen this brand but I know (and love) Choward's Scented Gum These are the same purple chicklet looking things with a rosey/floral like taste that you could easily call soap.
Good posture, mewing and most importantly chew, chew, HARD. This will get you somewhere trust me :D.
I don't think mastic is really available that widely, I bought mine from here:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B008RT2UVI?ref=ppx_pt2_mob_b_prod_image
Confession. I like these and salted licorice too.
I also like the unflavored chewing gum Falim; it smells like sawdust when the box is first opened.

Bacon is meat candy!!!

Thanks for the contest!!
So this is a lame one, but I always feel weird if my car doesn't have gum. So how about my favorite gum that fits in your cup holder! I couldn't find anything smaller than a 4 pack.
Vroom Vroom!
Congrats on the car!
It sits a couple of millimeters behind the upper front teeth, not touching them! So at the very beginning of the ridges. It’s important not to be pushing on the front teeth, as it could possibly lead to them protruding.
I would strongly recommend this Chios Mastic Gum for chewing - https://www.amazon.com/Greece-Chios-Mastic-Mastiha-Mastixa/dp/B008RT2UVI
Any unflavored mastic gum like this one is probably best because there's no added sugar or mint, and it will maintain its consistency almost indefinitely.
https://www.amazon.com/Falim-100-Chewing-Gum-Damla-Sakizli/dp/B005GR1WO0
I bought these since I couldn't find any cheap mastic gums that ship to Australia,
But essentially since pretty much all the food we eat is processed our jaw muscles don't develop as much as they would have if we were on a natural diet.
You can chew hard gums to develop your masseter muscles making your jaw area a little wider
They are these and you can get them at walmart and probably some convience stores. The best part is it comes with gum aswell.
Bacon Gumballs
Bacon is Meat Candy and my items proves that.. :) surprise me
"Icebreaker's Ice Cubes" Biggest pieces of gum.
Also, proper 100% chelated magnesium can help with the grinding. (I use Doctor's Best, any other forms of mag. are weak and don't do shit.)
I ran a quick google search and found a thread of people searching for the same thing. It looks like the gum base ( https://www.gleegum.com/product/refill-kit-to-make-gum/ this was linked) functions as well as chewing gum and should be easily sweetened with sugar. Another thread mentions this gum ( https://www.amazon.com/Falim-Sugarless-Plain-Pack-Pieces/dp/B000RKU2QU/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8 ) which appears to be just straight up gum.
ALTERNATIVELY, you might invest in a clear retainer like a night guard sort of thing. I have one to sleep in because of jaw pain. When I first got it, it was clear as glass. 8 years later it's yellowed. But any dentist will warn you that excessive gum chewing will cause serious jaw pain. The pros of a retainer is that it's a neutral flavor, no one will harass you for having a dental device unless they're in middle school (and even then), and you clean them with a tooth brush and tooth paste.
might able to get flavorless gum somewhere? definitely worth the price

This stuff works even better for cleaning the grip tape, and lasts for a long time: https://www.amazon.com/Grip-Gum-DECK-4inch-STICK/dp/B002Q47538 . You can also search for belt cleaner if you want to find a cheaper alternative.

I've bookmarked it. Next time I order something from Amazon, I'm getting those too. Thanks!
Re: Smoking: Getting some would break your no-buying-stuff rule, but I've heard good things about these. My order gets in on Wednesday. I suppose if you wanted to go hard-mode, you could whittle your own.
Quench gum is very similar. You can still get a bucket of 200 off amazon for $15. I ended up giving 3/4 of it out for Halloween because I couldn’t handle it anymore.
Corrected, apparently you can’t get a bucket of $200 dollars for $15 dollars off amazon. Just gum.
This Grip Gum for my skateboard would be nice It would make me as happy as a CRICKET to have some.
Five Finger Death Punch.
The five love languages.
Fast Five.
Five hour energy.
Wrigley's 5 Rain Spearmint Gum.
High five!
I always run with a piece of Quench in my mouth. I keep it in my cheek during the run. It stimulates saliva, gives my mouth something to do. I carry an extra piece in my pocket for longer runs.
The flatter gum in the twelve pack are great, but the Tub O'Quench, are too waxy.
Gum works! This is my favorite. <3 Recaldent

I enjoy [these] (http://smile.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0018JMP00/ref=s9_mbia_awbw_d99_g325_i2?ie=UTF8&fpl=fresh&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=mobile-1&pf_rd_r=0PC9B4VGCYZK7W3K9KAB&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=2404317562&pf_rd_i=mobile) and buy it in bulk.
I like b-fresh, and, while not for everyone, I also enjoy this stuff. It's basically pure mastic, no sweeteners or extra flavors. Nice if you just want to chew on something but don't want spearmint flavor or something kicking around in your mouth all day.
That's not JUST a toothpick... It's an Australian Chewing Stick. They come in cinnamon and tea tree flavors... I'm down to about 2 packs a month, haha. I prefer mine without fly parts however.
It's a bit of an adjustment from sweetened gum, but I'm a big fan of Falim. After chewing Falim exclusively for almost a year, the idea of sweetened gum (even sugar-free) just seems kind of off-putting.
It's called Quench Gum now. and it's still good for 10 seconds.
Once you open Pandora's box you can't close it... https://www.amazon.ca/Bacon-Flavored-Gumballs-In-Tin/dp/B001MP30DG

Something like this? Check out amazon.de if you're in Europe. Just search for Falim.
Honestly, the coolest part about caffeine gum is that the onset is different than oral dosing. It's much better at keeping you awake while you chew it or rest it against your cheek. But from what I've found, a minute or two after you spit it out, you'll start feeling tired again.
I like to think it's somewhat equatable to the difference between snorting amph and swallowing it.
I'm not sure if this counts as "sourcing," but I'm posting a link to caffeine gum regardless, as it's listed on the WHO's List of Essential Medicine. I personally use the cinnamon flavor of this same brand. Ironically, they come in packs of 5, but the bag says "Do not take more than 4 in 24 hours."

I like Spry. It's made with xylitol. They have it at my Kroger, but only the Spearmint and Peppermint. The local hippie health food store has a juicy fruit knock off, cinnamon, even licorice flavor. And you can get them from Amazon:

This looks interesting. Quench Gum Tub-O-Quench, 49 Ounce (Pack of 1) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001IEXQSU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_r73Ewb7TPDFEY
80's CANDY FACEOFF!! (Bubblegum Round)
Bubble Tape vs Big League Chew
Ohh boy! This one is going to be heated, I don't even know where to begin. Bubble Tape is always a crowd favorite, it was the first gum since Chiclets to break the stick stereotype and allow kids to choose their own gum adventure. Feel like 2 inches, fine. But we all know you want to jam 12 inches of gum in your pie hole and chew that delicious gob up. All of this inconspicuously tucked away like a tape measure in your pocket. Big League Chew is primarily made for the baseball field, but make no mistake, a real Big Leaguer is not afraid to carefully unfold the opened package right in the middle of their 5th grade class, reach in and pull out a few fingers of the shredded stuff, and pack a mean dip for everyone to see, just like the guys on TV.
I am convinced there's no wrong answer here.
I like Spry. It's sweetened with only Xylitol, one of the lower-GI sugar alcohols.
There's a type of gum called "simply gum" in the states that comes with papers to spit your him into.
Simply Gum Cinnamon Natural Chewing Gum - Non GMO, Vegan, 6 Packs (90 Pieces) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00I4W2VX0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_Ys6EAb8E7BQCG
When I get this shit I can't control myself and end up having like half a pack in my mouth every time https://www.amazon.com/BREAKERS-CUBES-Chewing-Peppermint-Container/dp/B0018JMP00
Try this turkish chewing gum. It has no sweeteners whatsoever, and actually contains mastic, which is fantastic for your gut and tooth health. Also this particular pack has lasted me over a year (but I don't chew gum nearly as often as you seem to).
I chew Falim flavorless gum. First piece is weird, after that its been smooth sailing. Like fasting!!
Sugarless Plain Gum - 5-Pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0036ZH0S6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_AGSuzb1BVH7RZ
I chew mastic gum sometimes. I think it has a pleasant taste at first but it fades quickly ymmv.
Did you by any chance purchase this one: https://www.amazon.com/100%25-Pure-Gum-Spirits-Turpentine/dp/B00KE62DWS
Turkish falim gum. It’s relatively cheap on amazon, but the gum itself is much harder to chew than the regular gum we’re used to. It will really develop your jaw musculature if you chew often. This will make the effects of your mewing even more noticeable.
Here’s a link to the one I purchase - Falim Gum
Some people use grip gum sticks

You mean big league chew? Still sold in lots of places, even hippie liberal California where I live.

Quench Gum?
Greece, Greek Chios (Xios) Mastic Gum ( Mastiha or Mastixa ) 100 Gr Box New https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008RT2UVI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_jdiWDbBWR5EEA
also forgot that was a thing. dang brain! probably happening because of my electrolyte deficiency!
Quench can also be had for ~$0.07/piece if you buy it in the tub form on amazon
I use this and this to great effect but obviously I'm just some asshole and your mileage may vary
..........I mean, you clearly have the internet, you could just google it. Amazon sells it, and they'll ship that shit straight to your house.
Here
Or here
So this one right?
this is for you
Oh, actually I think they are called Ice Cubes, not Ice Breakers
Edit: turns out it's both. So I was right!

Not the same brand but yes. I bought this one but from EU Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B008RT2UVI/ref=mp_s_a_1_16_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1524817294&sr=8-16&keywords=mastic+gum
Expensive as fuck. If anyone finds something cheaper im all ears!
I just bought some Chios mastic gum. It's tree resin. Has a similar texture to those wax bottle candies, which I like but I can see how it might not be for everyone. It has a light pine/cedar aroma. It seems expensive but a single piece can last you a while. I've been chewing the same one off and on for a couple days now, that may sound gross. It's supposed to help with stomach issues but I don't know if I believe that. I just bought it because I really missed chewing gum and I've been reacting to pretty much everything these days. No issues from this though.
And to add - I think even if I wound up being able to tolerate regular gum again I'd still go for this.

Sleepy music cuz it looks like you have trouble falling asleep.
Caffeine tabs
Crack gum
The a Turkish brand of gum called Falim that has no sugar or sweeteners.
Go to CVS pharmacy, Walmart or similar store and look for these plastic containers of gum. Ignore the price on Amazon. You can find them for less than $3. The Mentos Plastic Cylinders work well too and they are cheaper.
Dump out gum into a plastic bag. Remove label and use bluetak to attach mini. Start painting.

Kinda morbid, it's even sold on Amazon with a fake picture.

so awesome - helping me quit completely - i have the same oral fixation problem
Most people, myself included, just skate dirty grip until the deck is at a point where it needs to be replaced. If you're really paranoid about it, you can get a product called "grip gum" which can remove some of the nastiness, but in my experice dirty griptape in no way effects you're ability to skate, so save your money and just get a new deck with fresh grip when you can.
I was going to suggest Military energy gum, but it does have caffeine. My husband swears by it with his crappy rotating shift schedule. I've used it myself after a bad night and it worked great with no side effects.
