If you don't care about aesthetics and it's just a temporary once-in-a-while thing, just throw a kitchen-size garbage bag over it - cheap and easy.

No idea if that one's any good, but you can probably find others if you look.
I've seen people bring a 27" iMac covered with a small sheet or blanket and I've seen people bring in a few of these while I was there. A box makes carrying much easier in my opinion but if you don't have one that fits you can always try something above so you're not just walking around with an uncovered iMac.
