27. Qunol Mega Ubiquinol CoQ10 100mg, Superior Absorption, Patented Water and Fat Soluble Natural Supplement Form of C0Q10, Antioxidant for Heart Health, 60 Count Softgels

    Features:
  • SUPERIOR ABSORPTION VS. REGULAR CoQ10 — With superior absorption compared to regular1 CoQ10, Qunol Mega CoQ10 can help you reach optimal levels of CoQ10 quicker, so you can experience the potential benefits faster
  • Product Note: Exposure to heat or sunlight may lead to melting/damage of product. Hence customers are expected to be available during the product delivery
  • #1 CARDIOLOGIST RECOMMENDED FORM OF COQ10* — With superior absorption compared to regular [2] CoQ10, Qunol 100mg Ubiquinol capsules can help you reach optimal levels of Coenzyme Q10 sooner, so you can experience the potential benefits faster.
  • 100% WATER AND FAT-SOLUBLE — Qunol CoQ10’s patented formulation is 100% water and fat-soluble, unlike regular [2] CoQ10 that does not dissolve in water and dissolves very poorly in fat. Gluten free
  • BENEFICIAL TO STATIN DRUG USERS — Both cholesterol and CoQ10 are produced in the same pathway. Because statins work by blocking this pathway, they also block the production of CoQ10. Statin medications have been shown to lower CoQ10 levels and the addition of a CoQ10 supplement to statin drug therapy can help replenish lost CoQ10
  • CoQ10 is a naturally occurring nutrient-like coenzyme that plays an important role in the production of energy needed by our cells. Unfortunately, our CoQ10 levels may drop due to age, stress, and cholesterol-lowering statin drug therapy [4]. Taking a CoQ10 health supplement is the best way to increase your natural CoQ10 levels and support heart health. CoQ10 is also important for egg and sperm health and may help support fertility [5,6,7].

I was on low dose opioids for years because of a back injury and I found the worst part was detoxing from the fucking acetaminophen. I had horrible headaches for months.

I’m on low dose naltrexone now and I want to shout from the roof tops. It’s been a life changer in terms of pain.

I’ve also had horrible headaches from things like calcium d-glucarate and dim that I use to reduce estrogen and balance my hormones. The only thing besides time that has helped The headaches is choline. I specifically take Thorne Research - Phosphatidyl Choline - Phospholipid Complex for Cell Membrane Support - 60 Gelcaps. I’m throwing this out there in case you get headaches that nothing touches in your quest.

Choline is also good for traumatic brain injuries so it covers a lot of bases. It helps your neurons repair.

I also suggest a multi vitamin. You’re taking a lot of stuff but you could be missing things like manganese. I’m on mobile and I can’t double check to see if you’re taking fish oil but that too. I eat well too but I just find my brain and performance are much better if I’m taking a baseline of everything.

I’d also look at Nad. That stuff can be a miracle, especially for any functions related to mitochondria. I take Thorne Research - ResveraCel - Nicotinamide Riboside (Niagen) with Resveratrol and Cofactors in One Capsule - Supports Healthy Aging - 60 Capsules.

I also take Jarrow Formulas Ubiquinol Plus Pyrroloquinoline Quinone, Supports Heart Health and Cognitive Function, 30 Softgels for mitochondrial function.

The good thing about taking things for mitochondria is besides the impact on your brain it also can improve egg health in case you want kids/more kids.

I also take NAC for a clean liver. I had elevated ALT and AST liver enzymes for years because of the acetaminophen in the opioids. The NAC kept them in check. It’s also lowered my AST back to normal and my ALT to the lowest it’s ever been afterwards.

Someone also mentioned Modafinil. I take that too. It’s good stuff. I don’t get the crazy focus and drive some people get (or I haven’t since the first week) but it helps me stay awake all day. I get it from my doctor so I don’t have any sources for you. But I went to her with some studies about chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia, neither of which I have but had symptoms of, and she was easy about it.

I’ve tried Qualia and liked it before an FDA mandated formula change. It’s now missing the racetams. You can get racetams elsewhere. I see them advertising on Reddit. I sometimes take phenylpiracetam if my ass is dragging.

I find that Brain Plus works as well for me as Qualia and is significantly less. It’s $20 a month vs $120. I feel like it covers enough bases. Some people don’t like the kitchen sink approach to nootropics but I’ve found it works well for me and fits what I want to spend on that particular supplement.

If you don’t follow Dave Asprey, he’s a good resource. His book Headstrong is all about hacking mitochondrial performance. He also had some health issues and brain fog and I’ve learned a lot about recovering my brain from him.

Good luck.

I've spent at least 3 grand on nootropics by now, and I gotta say, the best thing that I've done to noticeable effect was adapt to (almost exclusively) a ketogenic diet (MCT oil is your friend), supplement with 3:2 ratio EPA/DHA fish oil (now krill oil), vitamin D3 and MK-7, curcumin phytosome complex (with BioPerine), magnesium glycinate, an active, methyl B-complex (or something like this).

And even a walk around the neighborhood each day is going to improve your brain function. I don't exercise enough, but I'll do the bare minimum. I don't even know if my brain is capable of producing "endorphins"

There is a deep lacking feeling that I have always felt the need to fill, something outside myself felt needed, which has led me to become a drunk, drug-addict in the past.

The stark difference in my life from adapting to the above, has definitely improved cognition, and my overall quality of life. My ADD-PI symptoms are pretty low now too, and still occasionally take dextroamphetamine as a booster, but do I need it anymore? I don't know. It's nice to have around, it's not nice to start abusing. I'll admit that it's a crutch, a safety blanket to have around.

I bought this one. I like it. They go down easy, and didn't arrive in a clump like some reviews say. I will say that we are going through 60 quickly. I plan on getting more at Costco, but if you just want cheap to last between paychecks or whatever it would work.

I really recommend this one,
Nature's Lab COQ10 Plus Alpha Lipoic Acid Plus Acetyl L-carnitine HCL Vegetarian Capsules, 120 Count https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01B1JZTV8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_RynZssnjpkE9D

it has 3 supplements in 1!

I buy the Nature Made brand off amazon. They usually have coupons to clip!

u/Mike · 2 pointsr/Nootropics

He should take coq10. When I'm on it my PVC's almost go away completely. I take twice the recommended amount of this http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0019GW3G8/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1409124847&sr=1-1&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70

One of the comments in the linked article above said an RE recommended 600mg of Ubiquinol CoQ10 for patients over 30 (and ubiquinone for under 30). So naturally I just dropped $36 on this bad boy on amazon.

Another fun return scam is digging through the trash to find receipts for high dollar items paid in cash. Come in, steal the item listed on the receipt, leave. Come back, return the stolen merchandise for cash. I had a guy try to do that a few times in a row, but of course he also wanted to return a couple of other high dollar items (CQ-10 was a popular one) that he had conveniently lost his receipt for.

We both take Doctors Best from Amazon. No complaints here.

Vitamin B12 Deficiency

>Tinnitus may be associated with vitamin B12 deficiency.

On that note, supplements I say are a MUST for using stimulants:

I just found out I have that motherfucker!

My functional MD told me to take this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001IAEC9Q/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A1PNQ3Z7C9295U&psc=1

You could try sublingual NADH. I've tried a lot of things with varying levels of effectiveness for ADHD PI, amphetamines don't really work for me, they just make me lazy, unmotivated, and arrogant. Maybe I never got to a high enough dosage for them to work though. On NADH I've found that I have actual motivation, I can think clearly, I can solve problems, my anhedonia disappears. I've taken it for probably about 3 or 4 months now, on and off, and the only time I seem to actually make breakthroughs at work is when I'm taking it. This is what I've been taking:

"MitoQ Limited provided supplements and some financial support."
Mm... I'm a little skeptical with that, especially with how often they name-drop MitoQ in the abstract. It does not look like a cheap supplement, either—$60 for 30 days.

That concern aside though, and assuming it does produce the purported effect, would it have similar effects on young people with poor cardiovascular health? I don't know enough about the symptoms they describe to know if they're purely age-related or can also be caused by poor diet/exercise.
