Same thing happened here. 1 week into daycare got a cold, which then turned into an ear infection.

Anyway, we got the Nosefrida which is 100% better then a bulb syringe (and 100% more disgusting, but it pulls out so much more snot). Just put some saline drops in before to loosen everything up.

Also, as per a recommendation of a friend, we rubbed Vicks BabyRub on her feet before bed, put some socks on, and the coughing definitely decreased at night. We asked our ped. before we did, and though she never heard of doing it, she didn't see a problem with it. Just make sure it is the Vicks BABYRUB, it is safe for 3 months+ in age.

Personally I love small tits. I have very little experience with these, I know they work short term and can be fun to play with. Does anyone know if they can have lasting effects?

Check out Vicks Baby Rub it works almost as well as regular vicks rub, but doesn't have the camphor and menthol that vicks has. In the baby rub it's mostly just petroleum jelly and eucalyptus oil with a couple other essential oils. Much safer. They say 3 months and older, but my pedi said it was safe to use on my six-week-old when he was congested. (I went the on-the-feet under-the-socks route.)

Baby chest rub has eucalyptus in it. It if was that dangerous they wouldn’t sell it. That stuff is highly regulated. Eucalyptus oil is perfectly safe for babies as long as they’re not getting digested.

It looks like they don't make the shower tablets anymore, which is a damn shame. They were like a hockey puck shaped bath bomb that you put down by the drain when you took a shower. You close the bathroom door and make the water as hot as you can stand. It was glorious.
