Aw, I'm really sorry to hear about your week. But you know what, you can use this weekend time to recharge and just give yourself some "you-time." =)

I highly suggest warm, preferably bubbly, baths and a nice book. Pamper yourself with all of your favorite products. Have a mini-marathon of your favorite shows or movies. Learn some new recipes to surprise your partner with when they come back!

Go on a nice bike ride or a walk or a hike. Nature is amazing and is just so refreshing. My first instinct when I'm feeling crappy is just to go outside. =) Maybe go check out a local farmer's market and grab some fresh produce and fruit and flowers. Plant some new flowers in your yard or, if you don't have a yard, just buy a potted plant and start taking care of it!

Most importantly, though, prepare yourself a nice cup of tea (or hot chocolate or coffee or whatever you like). Whenever I'm down, I find that nature and tea is all you need. =)

What makes me feel better. I hope you feel better soon, and thank you so much for this contest! If I win, I'd really love this! I love baking, but I currently have no way to safely transfer cupcakes. This would be incredibly helpful. Feel better! <3

I don't mind at all!

My mother in-law has double ovens so all the baking happened at her place. I also splurged and bought multiple tins/sheets so I could bake four 48 count mini cupcakes or 4 macaron trays at a time. In addition, I also bought a used deep chest freezer off facebook marketplace for like $75 to help hold everything I baked ahead.

First thing I made were the mini cupcakes, I made all 300 on a Saturday, put them in plastic carriers, and froze them. I opted not to frost them because I didn't want to frosting to get ruined in transportation. I made the frosting and frosted all the cupcakes the day of the wedding - looking back, I do wish I had either done it all beforehand or assigned it to someone else day of.

I spent three whole days on the macarons - would have only taken me 2 if I hadn't spent an entire day figuring out that the one of the ovens wasn't actually the temperature it said it was. They also had carriers and I froze them ahead of time.

The cake was actually the last thing I did because I thought I was just going to frost a styrofoam round. I baked and did the crumb coat three days before the wedding, decoration happened two days before the wedding. I wasn't too concerned with freshness because there was plenty of other dessert and I didn't make enough cake for everyone anyway. It was still delicious day of. I used like 11 lbs of frosting - must have kept the cake fresh!

In all - it took 6 days total dedicated to baking spread out over a few weeks prior to the wedding. Would have taken me longer with only one oven and fewer baking tins/sheets but definitely something you can plan for! Most baked good are ok to be frozen for 2-3 months prior so as long as you have a deep chest freezer to stick everything in, you can start far enough in advance to get it all done!

Hopefully that was helpful, I'd be happy to answer any other questions!

BINGO!
Cupcake carriers! These are totally summer because who doesn't want to enjoy a delicious home made cupcake on a beautiful summer day? Srsly. Sitting down at a picnic or a BBQ or even the beach with a cute little cupcake that is protected from bugs, sand, and random people touching it! :D

I spy with my little eye... a user with very classy taste!

I love suprises, but you asked for a link, so how about a cupcake caddy, it's on my kitchen list.

Thanks for the contest, that was a ton of fun.

I really only use disposable carriers in situations where I need to transport a lot of cupcakes, or where I don't know for sure that I'll get the packaging back. For general taking cupcakes to work/pot lucks/etc, I have one of these and one of these. The Snapware one is by far my favorite. Mine is a 3 level, though, so I can carry up to 3 dozen at a time. The muffin tin that comes with the Oneida is fantastic. I consider the carrier parts to just be bonus bits that came with a really high quality baking tin.

Amazon 😊 finally splurged! Cupcake Courier G0214B Cupcake Carrier- White Translucent, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B7877DC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_yBvIDb475GD8X

Do they have a good carrier? I love taking my cupcakes places and a bad carrier leaves cupcakes falling over in transit

I really like this one
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B7877DC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_ADIhAb609VRD7 But found it a little cheaper (35ish?) At home goods

if you go a lot and can justify a purchase, how about a pie carrier? like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01I40TYEK/ref=psdc_13880481_t1_B005178PE0. There are other options on amazon as well. Note that I haven't used it.

I bake a LOT of cupcakes and have tried tons of carriers....this is by far the best one I've come across:

I can bake circles in my sleep and I probably wouldn't do that just because of the time, stress, and transport of it all. Plus to make 200 cupcakes you might spend close to what you'd pay for someone else doing them in the midst of all that.

Where in VA are you? We just finalized our wedding cupcake order (160 cupcakes, 5 flavors so 32 of each, plus delivery and set up) and it was wayyyyy cheaper than most place charge for starting prices of tiered wedding cakes, plus we got a discount for paying in full when we placed our order rather doing a deposit. If you're getting married in/near Charlottesville, feel free to PM me for more details about who went through.

That being said, I'll likely make a cake or pick up a relatively plain looking one from a grocery store for us to cut into. I also found these incase people want to take a cupcake with them instead of eating it at the wedding. Since we ordered cupcakes so far in advance, I'm sure we'll get stuck with some leftovers, and I found this to be a cheap way to not end up with a bazillion cupcakes that I'd want to consume post-wedding haha.

See if your town has a special baking supply shop. Mine sells plastic cupcake containers, or you can buy online: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00OXAF6RK?psc=1

I only need about 60 and I bought some cupcake holders from Amazon.
