I hope this helps and if you have any more questions pm me! I know this is long, but it may have the answers you need and you can probably skim through it pretty quick. Good Luck!

For hands and feet try this product https://shop.sweatblock.com/collections/sweating-products/products/antiperspirant-lotion-hands-feet You can also use a Iontophoresis machine. I would recommend doing your own research and choosing if you want that done.

Try to find dri-fit socks or quick absorbing socks. Put in sneaker balls between your shoe uses and try to have at least two pair to switch between. Use foot powder to decrease the sweat and smell. Works better than I thought just some non name brand powder would do.

For your underarms you can use Sweatblock https://shop.sweatblock.com/collections/sweating-products/products/sweatblock-antiperspirant Certain Dri https://certaindri.com/ Drysol https://www.amazon.com/Drysol-Dab-Extra-Strength-35mlx2boxes/dp/B079W2FNPQ etc. There are a lot of different anti-perspirants, but just as my own opinion trying a few, I recommend Sweatblock or Cerain Dri.

I found for blocking sweat Thompson Tees https://thompsontee.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI1J6P7dz35AIVT77ACh1wwAMsEAAYASAAEgJDUvD_BwE are the best under shirt for me. There are different options to choose how you need the shirt. If I get a shirt with the right size they can fit under t-shirts and graphic tees type shirts. They work with polos, button ups, and long sleeve shirts great. If you get any I recommend getting one at a time to test your size and there is a return policy as well. You also want to wash these often or on regular wash days for you so they don´t just have mad sweat and stench just sitting in there. For me no matter how much I´ve ever sweated, I´ve never had pit stains with them. They DO NOT prevent smell for exiting or body odor from forming.

TRIM and not shave your armpits. I say this so the anti-perspirant can get to arms and and not be blocked by hair if it is long. The hair makes your armpit more hot and it makes it sweat more. It provides ventilation to dry your arm up quickly if you only have sweat on your skin and on a little hair. The sweat doesn´t just linger on you forever and stay there as long. Put on deodorant 30-40 minutes before you leave then re apply 10 minutes before just a little bit so it can start to get soak in your armpit and and keep that smell there to override the body odor and that re appy is so the smell is stronger and you can smell better. Don´t put it on too late or you´ll start sweating while walking and that deodorant still wet mixing in with the sweat will make your stains worst.

For inside of your underpants I recommend baby powder https://www.walmart.com/ip/GOLD-BOND-Ultimate-Men-s-Essentials-Body-Powder-Refresh-360-Scent-10oz/51176870?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=1150&adid=22222222227038811169&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=90378248312&wl4=pla-182528769392&wl5=9012692&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=112549851&wl11=online&wl12=51176870&veh=sem&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIv-2g3t735AIVxsDACh2SdAYrEAQYASABEgLIGfD_BwE (Any powder should work that had good ratings though) . You also want to TRIM, not shave you pubic hair and butt hair. Trimming pubes should be nothing and should be fine but your butt watch out or you can get a razor and set settings to like 3mm to wear it isn´t short enough to itch or give rashes. Through out the day just wipe down there and maybe get a body spray without a strong smell and just spritz some to hide smell.

If you don´t workout, start. Get a membership to a gym or just do workouts at home. Find a workout plan and do those to build muscle and get in shape. Start running, when I started sweating when exercising I started sweating less. Drink plenty of water. I suggest getting a water bottle that keeps water cool so you can drink it after walks and when you need to. Eat the right foods, this helps but only when you eliminate all sugary and fatty foods and it isn´t that big a deal. Take showers daily and if you take them in the morning sit in cold water for about a minute or two to take your body temperature down. Wear a cologne to mask the body odor smell and to smell good. Try to find a way to be more comfortable because if you eliminate the nervousness in you, you will sweat a lot less. Use cologne in bathrooms before class and a neat trick I made is to put dryer sheets in your under pants, shoes, or if you tuck in an under shirt in there.

Botox is an option but it is expensive and repetitive, especially for a college student.

Edit : Keep those cheap mini fans you can find in walmart lines, or invest in a more expensive one thats still cheap to dry armpits and body

I believe the term you are seeking is "Zero Waste" living, or something close to.

Researching a bit of "zero waste" living products may help you get started with some ideas! I find a lot of material on youtube about zero waste living and am dabbling into the reality of the lifestyle myself. I am not sure if you are a man or woman, or what kinds of products you do use in your bathroom (toiletries, cosmetics, cleaning supplies, etc.) But I figured I would offer a few of my favorite alternatives to common items that you may look into.

Safety razors. Disposable razors/plastic handles with replaceable heads are convenient, yet highly wasteful and overall expensive to maintain. There are lots of stainless steel safety razors on the market with the feature of removable blades (of which you replace and recycle once your current blade has fulfilled it's purpose). Safety razors range from about $25- $50 and can last up to a lifetime. The replaceable razor blades can be found for very cheap (their lifetime lasts according to your usage). Here are amazon links to exemplary items:

Homemade deodorant and/or natural sustainable deodorants: These can be tricky to get started with. Most commercial deodorants use aluminum to block your sweaty glands and completely block the process of perspiration. So, I urge you to take on natural deodorants with patience and give different methods a chance to work for themselves.

You can make your own, in a glass jar with ingredients that are less harmful to your body and this may be the best method to find something that aligns with your own body chemistry. A typical recipe for homemade deodorant would be 1 part coconut oil to 1 part bicarbonate soda (baking soda). BICARBONATE SODA MAY IRRITATE YOUR UNDERARMS. For the first couple weeks of usage, you may experience irritation of your glands purging the aluminum blockage and other toxins built up over time. Baking soda may also cause irritation to those who shave quite frequently, however I have found that applying this mixture at least 30 minutes after I shaved armpits in the shower, that I am less likely to get slight itchiness, if any at all. LISTEN TO YOUR BODY IF THIS METHOD IS NOT TOLERABLE FOR YOU.

If you are not keen on the idea of slathering on some good old homemade, Hippie salve, then Piperwai AND Schmidt's are popular brands with minimal packaging that seem to work for majority of people. These two products still contain bicarbonate soda, but will save you the convenience of not making your own. There are plenty of zero waste options that do not contain bicarbonate soda, but I have found luck with this formula and haven't looked beyond to seek anything else. Again, youtube is a good resource for finding such.

Piperwai Deodorant: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B011SM7IGM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_FweIyb6Z2E2RM

Schmidt's Deodorant: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018K3HD62/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fxeIybH035978

As for soaps, there are many wonderful body, face, and hair soaps available on the market today. Investing in simple bars with paper packaging or reusable storage may be the best option for avoiding excess packaging. There are lots of options available either on Etsy, at your city Whole Foods, or there are usually natural soap options that can be found quite locally at farmers markets and such hopefully in your hometown. Personal preference will go into certain decision making with soaps but bars are usually the best way to avoid said packaging.

Hopefully this offered a small bit of help and information to help you get started in your journey towards minimalism and green-thumb consciousness! Good luck!

I live in deep south Texas where temps are already in the triple digits before noon, with humidity over 70%. Its absolutely miserable about 8 months out of the year here, so I've had to come up with tricks to combat melting into a puddle.

I use Dress Shields with blazers when I wear a sleeveless top underneath or sweaters I don't want to dry clean every time. They kind of remind me of a..... panty liner. Just peel, stick, and throw away after. You can cut them to fit for shorter sleeves, or even just in half and stick them under the sleeve of a sleeveless top.

Also, this stuff literally prevents sweat. Like, completely dry under arms. I use it every 3rd night. I still use antiperspirant during the day, but it makes whatever I wear all the more effective.

Make sure read the active ingredients in whatever antiperspirant you're already using. If its under 18% Aluminium chlorohydrate or aluminium-zirconium tetrachlorohydrate, its probably not enough to do any good.
Mitchum is one of the best drugstore options with a higher active ingredient percentage.

Also, aerosol deodorant (like that Axe stuff for men) works really well for other areas, like boob sweat, or small of the back.

u/MingeMouth · 3 pointsr/DiWHY

I'm not claiming it is the best when really letting out the sweat, but when I'm at a bar or a show for 2-6 hours it holds up just enough. I still sweat through it, but it keeps me from having thst definitive BO smell and more of an earthy, natural aroma.

The best and weirdest response so far was post uh... engagement in bed, I like to spoon and bask for a while while muscles are still twitching and feel nice, and my female partner, instead of spooning up to my side and lying with her head against my chest where I beckoned her, she put her face directly against my armpit and deeply inhaled. She did this little wiggle and settled against me in this super satisfying, sexy way that made me feel so accepted and fulfilled. It was easily one of the best aftersex baskings I've ever had. It made me feel so sexy and special.

Edit: syntax mistake

Hey friend, I have hyperhidrosis too. There are some things you can try, almost surely there is one solution that works for you. I have gone through several and right now this product called AntiHydral has been the most effective. Only problem is I can't ever find any places that sell it besides one or two vendors on Ebay. There are some more easily available solutions like Drysol as well, but I have found AntiHydral to be the most effective for me personally.

Head over to /r/Hyperhidrosis and you can start working towards which solution might ease some of this irritating condition. Good luck, brother.

u/teehawk · 3 pointsr/malegrooming

Here are some things that I have found help for me at least:

1.) The biggest one is manscaping. Honestly. I bought a $20 set of clippers from walmart, and it has worked wonders. My pits are the biggest offender, so I use a #1 guard on the clippers, and take care of them. Less hair means less surface area for bacteria to grow an cling to.

2.) When showering, is use a basic shower brush. It is abrasive enough to feel like it is really clearing everything away, with the added benefit of exfoliation.

3.) Using a moisturizing bar of soap. My normal process is: rinse, soap, brush, rise, soap, brush, rinse.

4.) Others have mentioned Certain Dri which you apply at night before bed, and works wonders. I also rotate between 3 different deodorants/antiperspirants from day to day. If I only use 1, it is like my skin develops a resistance to it. My brain wants to say that is total crap, but I get better results by rotating. I then hit my chest with a light spray of body spray, like Axe. A little goes a long way with these. Srsly. After I am dressed, I use one squirt of cologne and I'm good to go.

Hope some of these help. Hang in there brother!

u/Greyzer · 2 pointsr/malegrooming

Deodorant: Thai Crystal or something similar. It's not an antiperspirant but works great if you apply it right after showering and rub it on vigorously.

Soap: I love Aleppo soap, made with olive oil. I use it in the shower and for washing my hands.

Shampoo: Dr. Bronners baby mild. I dilute it with water 1:1 and have it in a foaming dispenser as it's rather runny.

Other options are Pure Nuff Stuff: they sell most of their products in an unscented version or Nanny's Silly Soap Company, she makes great unscented soap.

u/2cheesesteaks · 8 pointsr/Outlier

Do NOT try Organic 101, which is popular on Amazon and reviewed positively elsewhere. Part of the Merino advantage imho is getting a few wears in before washing. This deodorant accumulated beeswax and retained BO in the pit crevices. Was a real pain getting the residue out. And in the meantime a slight odor remained in the shirts. FWIW Puracy stain remover worked after several applications.

I made the mistake of going all-in on some new Outlier before a summer trip last year. Was mostly successful.

After trying that one, a few from natural foods groceries and Whole Foods and Arm & Hammer natural, I've settled on Underarmed, which is available on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XPDFSZW/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

No affiliation with this company.

Downside is this stuff is relatively expensive vs other products. But it's been best of any I've tried. No smell for at least 8 hrs or longer, no residue. Works great with Outlier merino (as well as Pistol Lake Eudae).

Happy to give back to this sub.

u/K2togtbl · 1 pointr/xxfitness

It'll probably take you a while before you find "the one" that works best for you and your body's chemistry. I've been using natural deodorant for 15-ish years, and I remember it taking a while before I found what worked best for me. I still change things up sometimes because I'm a sucker for new things.

I'm currently using Native, but I'll be changing brands after I finish with what I have left. It works alright, but it gets kinda iffy at the end of the day for me. Also, I'm trying to get away from purchasing as much stuff from mega corporations as I currently do. The coconut scent is amazing though and it is good for sensitive skin.

Before Native, I was using Green Tidings and loved it. I only stopped wearing it because lavender can be a migraine trigger for some of the people I work with and I do not want to be the cause of that. It's a light scent, but I was still worried about that.

Toms was ok years ago but then they changed the formula or something and it wasn't as good..That was well over 5 years ago since I last used them though, so that may have changed again.

I didn't have any major complaints with the Jason's or Schmidt's deodorants that I tried.

u/TleilaxuMaster · 1 pointr/offmychest

Have you tried something like this: Perspi Guard Antiperspirant Treatment (UK)?

It's very effective. I used to sweat a lot in social situations (social anxiety), and using this helped with that. The hand is probably the easiest place to apply it to, as well!

Otherwise see a GP and mention how it's affecting your quality of life. They might have something even stronger to prescribe.

u/oh-wtf · 3 pointsr/malefashionadvice

Try different brands.

I used to use Old Spice Red Zone which is very strong. (You'd pretty much have to use sandpaper to get it off your armpits while in the shower.) Switched to "Right Guard Total Defense Power Stripe Anti-Perspirant Deodorant Invisible Solid", and only lightly apply. Works great, comes off easy, and I can wear white t-shirts again. (No more yellow staining.)

u/VSparks · 1 pointr/beauty

omg, I love Arm and Hammer Essentials. The unscented is okay, but the fresh one is AH-mazing. Really helps with my B.O.
Also there's this one from Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Green-Tidings-Deodorant-Strength-Protection/dp/B00EOB0042?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01
I like to alternate between these 2 because otherwise, I feel like my body gets used to just the one and it isn't as effective. :)

u/[deleted] · 2 pointsr/vegan

Stick deodorant: consider Tom's long-lasting men's deodorant. I am pretty sure this is an antiperspirant as well. I love the brand and use one of their deodorants as well.

Toothpaste: perhaps Dr. Bronner's. they are all natural and a really reputable vegan brand.

Also, just because we get in little cat fights now and then doesn’t mean we aren’t a united front. Fuck Brenda and be healthy my mans!

Got you with a link to the aluminum free deodorant I use. Don’t get turned off by the organic bit. It actually works and you’re not filling your pores with metal.

Nice comfy wicking underwear like professional footballers wear is a good idea, talcum powder to stop any chafing and something like driclor antiperspirant - there's a bunch of really strong ones you can get on prescription or just buy https://www.amazon.co.uk/Driclor-Antiperspirant-Roll-Applicator-20/dp/B008R7BT5S

You can buy a set of different microfibre towels like a gym kit to keep stashed somewhere and use as needed

u/spookymagicians · 4 pointsr/medical

My friend got one as well, it came and went until one day it became infected and I had to drain it. You might be allergic to a chemical in the deodorant you use. Try switching to a different brand. If it persists, this deodorant worked well for my friend. You do have to put it on at least twice a day, but it’s all natural.

Edit to add: friend hasn’t had this problem come up in the past 2 years he’s been using this product. If it still persists, I recommend going to a dermatologist.

u/johnamoose413 · 2 pointsr/AskReddit

Mitchum gel deodorant is extremely effective and not too expensive. Link to where you can buy a 4 pack for under 20 bucks. Cheap body wash mixed with a good luffa will get you squeaky clean, store brand dental floss, tooth brushes, and toothpaste will do the job if you maintain a good oral hygiene regiment, and regular hand/face soap hasn't killed me yet!

Zerosweat

I live in Texas and it is hot and humid here most of the year. I have been dealing with my right armpit sweating uncontrollably for years. It could be the middle of winter and my right arm would sweat through a thick sweatshirt even if I was standing outside.

I have tried many different products like Mitchum Clincal anti-perspirant, many different versions of Degree and so on. I could be sitting in an air conditioned office wearing a thin cotton t-shirt and my right arm pit would be sweating like I just ran 5 miles. My left arm was fine. I looked up why only my right arm pit was doing this but could not really find an answer. I was even considering getting botox injections to stop this. I decided to look on amazon for some underarm pads and was about to buy some when I saw other customers had also bought Zerosweat I read many of the reviews and saw some people had issues with burning after being applied. As I kept reading I did notice that was mostly people that took a shower at night and then applied Zerosweat. I went ahead and bought it really hoped it worked but I was expected to be let down again. Well I wasn't!

Zerosweat arrived on a Sunday and I applied it about an hour before I went to bed, just in case it started burning or I had a bad reaction to it I could wash it off. I applied it with 2 strokes down and up and that's it. I did experience a slight sting/itchy feeling in the middle of the night but nothing that was terrible. I woke up the next morning, took my shower, applied my regular deodorant and got ready for work. Usually after about 30 minutes my right arm pit is sweating and it is soaked through my t shirt, but not this day. I had no sweat from my right arm all day. That night I applied Zerosweat again an hour before I went to bed. Again I had a slight sting/itchy feeling but still nothing that was out of the ordinary. Tuesday was the same thing, no sweat at all from my right arm. That night I did not apply zerosweat because it should last a few days and not have to be applied every day. The next morning was the same results. No sweat at all from my right arm and I had not applied it since Monday night.

I am in love with this product and will continue to use it for as long as they make it. My shirts are now saved!

OP, I know I'm late to the party but no one has brought this up yet.

When you talk about ruining your shirts from sweat, I had a similar experience. When I was in high school, I wore the same 5 undershirts under my uniform for like a year and I sweated so much that the material in the armpits became kind of tough and discolored, thus ruining the shirts. It happened regularly to all tees I wore for the next five years and I thought it was just unavoidable.

I've read that this grossness is actually caused by chemicals in the antipirspirant. Since having switched to crystal deodorant (which is not an antiperspirant), this doesn't happen to my shirts. I recommend the crystal stuff in that it keeps me odor free and keeps my shirts in good condition.

Some people in this thread have reported that quitting antiperspirants has led to a decrease in sweating. This hasn't happened for me, so your mileage may vary. I still sweat a lot on the crystal deodorant. But there are no chemicals (it's pretty much made of salt, I think) and my shirts last longer.

What I have started doing is wearing a moisture wicking shirt (like Under Armor) as an undershirt. While this decreases the severity of large sweat spots under my arms, they are still there. Just instead of looking soaked, they look a little damp, which is a big improvement.

My friend who binds recommended using lots of baby powder plus rubbing an anti-chafe stick on your nipples to keep them from rubbing and getting sore! Something like this https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00YBNC9CE/ref=mp_s_a_1_6_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1522879529&sr=8-6&keywords=anti+chafe+stick&dpPl=1&dpID=412863BaR3L&ref=plSrch

I used to use this on my thighs when i was a long -distance runner! I haven't tried my friend's advice yet (haven't gotten my binder in the mail yet -also from gc2b!). But they've been binding for a while! Good luck!

This looks awesome! You're wonderful. :)

Kind of a niche product, but this clinical strength deodorant was awful. It was gooey and took forever to dry... it barely functioned as a regular antiperspirant, let alone clinical strength. Just... don't go there.

My last gifted post.

u/Jlocke98 · 3 pointsr/wicked_edge

alum is a nice post shave/pre-aftershave step as it closes most small nicks without the need for styptic and it has antimicrobial properties as well so it can help prevent acne and whatnot. it also makes your skin tighter resulting in your skin feeling smoother. if you want to get some alum on the cheap, this is what I use. if you don't get that, be sure to get potassium alum, not any other kind of alum like ammonium, it'll sting more.

u/HorseSeaMan · 4 pointsr/TwoXChromosomes

Alright I am a guy, that sweat a lot (mainly arm pits). About 3 weeks ago I bought an anti-presperant called Certain Dri(link goes to amazon.com page) and my arm pits haven't sweat even a bead of sweat since. Even when I work out!

I apply it when I go to bed at night. It is odorless, clear and not sticky or anything. It works overnight to shrink the sweat pores.

I've heard it works on feet and other areas, so you could at least try it.

Good luck!

u/DarkyPoo · 3 pointsr/Organiclife

I've been using this stuff for over a year now, but I would also like to know the best because I have to apply this about twice a day.

I got this: Dove Men+. Best one i have used by far and have been using it for about 8 months now. Not going to use anything else again.

The other ones I have tried that are even more powerful than this one are:
Right Guard 5
and
Degree Adrenaline Series

I dont sweat "that much" to warrant either of these two.

u/redboxmike · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

Green Tidings Organic All Natural Deodorant is what you want. You can get it unscented or lavender. But it'll do what you are looking for. It leaves no stains. But as with most natural deodorants, it doesn't stop the sweating like an antiperspirant. Furthermore, you may need to reapply after 6-8 hrs. YMMV. (I went through one, lavender, and liked it so much I bought it again, the bigger container the second time).

u/shmookashmuk · 1 pointr/TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Hey! This might not work for you, but I also had a BO problem where my regular deodorant wasn't doing anything, so based on internet recs I started using this Thai crystal stick right after I got out of the shower, and it completely eliminated my problem. Apparently it creates an unfriendly chemical environment for bacteria.

It's important to completely clean your underarms in the shower before applying the stick, because although it prevents bacteria, it is not a smell masker and can't help you if you're already smelly. I have an anti-bacterial body-wash which I scrub under my arms in the shower, but maybe the sulfate-free soap suggested elsewhere in this thread would be good? I'm interested in trying it.... Anyway, after I get out of the shower I wet the stick briefly under the tap and then apply to my pits, which dry quickly. I also put my reg deodorant on top of it.

Thai crystal I've only found online, but I have seen other crystal deodorants (roll-on type) in drugstores, which I've tried and do the job too (I prefer the solid form though). this one

Edit: I feel a moral responsibility to mention the aluminum controversy. It's a whole box of worms which may or may not be an unfounded scare.... I am thinking of maybe trying this Milk of Magnesia as an alternative, but I'm not in any rush.

u/aking14 · 2 pointsr/everymanshouldknow

Right Guard is a stick. It's subtle so not too many people notice unless they get really close, like for hugs. I rarely wear cologne since I didn't get as many compliments for it.

u/Sydney_James · 2 pointsr/ftm

I use Schmidt's Cedarwood and Juniper about 90% of the time and Baxter of California the rest. Baxter is more subtle than the Schmidt's, scent-wise, and it's also a bit gentler, I guess? I use it whenever my pit skin needs a break.

I tried Every Man Jack Cedarwood but it absolutely does not mix well with my natural scent for some reason. Every other cedarwood scented product I've tried does. :\

My favorite scented thing, even though it's not a deodorant, is Baxter of California's Exfoliating Body Bar. It's cedar wood and oak moss scented. (My mother calls it my 'man soap', which is awkward because I'm not out.) It's expensive but it's a big bar, so I cut it in smaller pieces and only use it where I have rough skin. I sniff myself for hours after a shower.

u/bananasmcgee · 1 pointr/weddingplanning

I have stinky armpits and my husband magically somehow does not have BO. Like ever. So he's super sensitive to my armpit smell. I was using Secret Original before and it wasn't cutting it. I tried a bunch of brands, including roll ons and gels, but finally I tried Secret Clinical and it's much better!

This is what I use, but in the sport scent. You're supposed to put it on at night, but I just use it in the morning and I don't have any problems with it. It takes some getting used to how much you're supposed to use (it comes out through these little holes and when you first use it, it comes out unevenly).

u/AwesomeJohn01 · 1 pointr/AdviceAnimals

For the smells, I use Thai Deodorant Stone. I always sweat a lot and this is the very best thing I have found for odor control. Everyone that I have convinced to try it also love it. It doesn't stop you from sweating, but you won't stink anymore.

u/Jardun · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

From Texas, so even this time of year I have some problems with heat causing sweatiness. I use Mitchum Smart Solid Clinical Performance antiperspirant. It works better than any other over the counter product I have tried. Get unscented so you don't clash scents with your cologne, it is designed so it doesn't leave the white stains on clothing (although I have noticed that it does leave little white spots very occasionally), and only apply one layer over your whole pit. It doesn't need to be just coated on like some people do. I keep an old towel in my bathroom so that if I put too much on I can just dab it off a bit. Only one warning, because it has so much going on it is a bit powerful and can cause an itchy rash if you over apply. Happened to me once or twice because I over applied it, itchiness went away in 20 or so minuets.

If you don't feel like going to a doctor to seek a cure, then try this because it really is a magic deodorant. Put it on at night before bed and right after your morning shower and it will work better too, I buy mine at CVS. Good stuff.

It really just makes your armpits dry as a dessert. What you do is, apply it before you sleep in the effected area( Your armpit), and the next morning wash your armpits, and then you have 5 days of dry armpits, but you have to apply it every 5 days. But it only takes like 2 minutes!

I have am currently using a roll on (Right Guard) but it doesn't seem to dry in the time after my shower and before I have to leave for work by the time I get the station I'm rather sweaty (30 minute casual walk in not so hot English weather)

There is a product here on the UK called Driclor. You put it on at night then wash it off the next day. It works very well for this condition. If you aren't in the UK, I'm sure there will be a similar product available.

I can't shed any light on this I'm afraid, though I can offer a 'solution' (apologies for the pun) which can help you: This. Given it is a spray, it would probably make for the easiest application for a (probable) hairy area.

Goodluck.

( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)

u/_acier_ · 2 pointsr/Indiemakeupandmore

I like this basket one
(Thai Deodorant stone by DSA if Amazon doesn't work for you)
I've had issues with plastic applicators as the stone wore down/got older, and the basket makes it less of an eye sore, and the stone doesn't sit in water making funky crystals. It also cuts down on plastic/trash which is another plus! They only major drawback is the basket format probably isn't the best for travel, since the rock is just a big rock and I am still figuring out the best way to but it in a bag so it doesn't bump around.

These also last for-ev-ver. It feels like you've adopted a pet rock.

Have you tried Old Spice deodorant? They do have certain scents that are made without the antiperspirant/aluminum. I'm a woman, and I use the Wolfthorne scent. It smells like oranges and isn't uber manly.

I've also used the thai crystal . It's a crystal that you wet and rub onto your pits. I know it sounds hokey and like bullshit, but it helps me with the smell. Doesn't do anything for sweat, though.

If it's helpful at all, this stuff has been a literal godsend for me. I had tried every kind of deodorant/antiperspirant you could think of before this and none work as well as this one.

Not sure it will be much help to you if you're primarily sweating from your face/head etc., but for someone who sweats a lot from their pits and inner thighs, this has been a game changer.

u/Donkey_Thong · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

YMMV but, I used to have horrible pit stains. We're talking BROWN here, not just slightly yellow. I read an article that said the culprit was aluminum (the active ingredient in most deodorants and all anti-perspirants) mixed with sweat. So I switched. To an aluminum free deodorant (pretty much the opposite advice of those who are advocating CertainDri) and now, even white T-Shirts will last me for years (literally) without any pit stains.

Also, I too have the curse of sensitive pits so, the most common aluminum free deodorants (Speed Stick, even the "all natural" Tom's) gave me bad pit rash.THIS
is my perfect, non staining, non irritating deodorant. As a bonus, it's also pretty much the cheapest deodorant you can buy. So there's no harm in trying...

u/littlelurker123 · 1 pointr/ftm

I've always been a sweaty buggers, mostly on the underarms. I use a strong ass anti perspirant called Driclor which you apply overnight. It can be a bit irritable to the skin if yours is very sensitive but it tends to be okay for me.

In the past I've tried Sweat block and Perspi-Guard but found Driclor was by far the most effective and least irritable.

u/llDasll · 2 pointsr/bootroom

I'm beginning to wonder if they stopped making it. My kid used to get the worst blisters and we'd have that in the soccer bag at all times. It worked great, but the last time I was at CVS, they didn't have it.

Edit: just saw that they did indeed discontinue it :/ It looks like Gold Bond's is just as good.

u/MysteriousExpert · 7 pointsr/malefashionadvice

Thai Natural Crystal Deodorant.

It's not Thai and it's not "natural", but they do work. The crystal is alum, which is a different kind of aluminum salt than the aluminum chlorhydrate found in most antiperspirants. You apply the the deodorant, by wetting the crystal and rubbing it on your skin. It has no smell.

The benefits of it are that it does not stain clothes - no yellow stains in the armpits like regular antiperspirants. I find it to be effective at stopping odors.

From the name, it seems like a ridiculous product. I started using it a few years ago. At first, was switching from antiperspirant to a regular deodorant to stop my shirt armpits from staining yellow. But several brands of regular deodorant (arm and hammer, old spice) irritated my skin. This stuff works well and I have no irritation. I'm very happy with it.

Costs about $7/stick, but a stick will last a year, maybe more.

u/cahurd23 · 2 pointsr/NaturalBeauty

I use Underarmed here and LOVE it. I tried so many others (toms, native, primal pit paste, etc) before find this one. It took ~2 weeks for me to adjust. It’s on the pricier side but one stick has lasted me almost 5 months (?!)

u/chorkea · 2 pointsr/TwoXChromosomes

I use Arm and Hammer deodorant. It's simple, you can get it unscented, it's cheap ($1-2), and it works well. After buying it once because it was 98 cents, I never turned back.

u/hitforhelp · 1 pointr/Hyperhidrosis

Driclor
Certain-dry
Anhydrol Forte

All these products are for topical application to help deal with HH. I have personal experience with both driclor and anhydrol forte and both work. My only complaint with using them is when applied on my feet or underarms it can produce a stinging sensation. Once applied and working I also sometimes feel a tightness on my hands and feet when they are trying to sweat but cannot.
This said it is worth it for the cost of the product and treatment results.
They may not be the 30% you are after but I can confirm that they work even at 20%.

I've used this stuff for years: https://www.amazon.com/Century-Herbal-Clear-Deodorant-2-65-Ounce/dp/B000GCLDOO

It has a very mild, non-fake-flowery-perfume scent on the applicator, and I don't really smell it once I apply it.

But I don't think I am a heavy sweater at all. This brand does make a "sports" version, though, so that might be a better choice.

u/ooblie · 1 pointr/AskWomen

I just started using arm and hammer unscented deodorant and it's the only thing that's lasted the whole day for me. Plus, it's cheap. Some of those special "clinical" lady deodorants can be $7+ per stick and don't even seem to last very long.

EDIT: Moreso to this point - a true 24 hour antiperspirant does exactly that - prevents you from sweating. If you sweat, then your product of choice isn't working. The problem there is that it simply may be your body chemistry that is allowing the sweat to mix with bacteria and turn yellow, not the antiperspirant you are using.

here's the link to the product, maybe the reviews will help. I got mine from amazon a while ago because I'm obsessed with online shopping, but they also have it at kroger around here as well as more specialty stores (like whole foods or whatever).

I live in the midwest and used this from May-now, and definitely saw some really hot days. You only really get stinky if you don't shower daily/get really sweaty and re-wear the same shirts multiple times.

Deodorants simply work to reduce stinky pit smell; antiperspirants usually use aluminum salts to kind of plug up the sweat glands in your pits to decrease the amount of moisture that comes out. It's what our bodies have evolved to do, so I figure why mess with that? Obvs it's up to you to decide, and if you try the stone and don't like it, you can probably find some hippy to give it to :P

Anyway, hope that helps!

[edit: also one of the reasons I thought about the stone was that I kept staining the pits of my shirts with the traditional antiperspirants I was using, which sucked! I haven't had that issue at all with the stone]

u/Abisteen · 2 pointsr/C25K

I recommend some of this also for the potential chafing: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00YBNC9CE/

Max-strength anti-perspirant. I haven't used it for this particular purpose, but it works all over the rest of my sweaty, sweaty body. Couple of hours lifting or a 10k run. It keeps me dry. So I've no reason to doubt it wouldn't work on your hands while gaming.

I had the same problem. Try driclor (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Driclor-Solution-Roll-Applicator-20ml/dp/B008R7BT5S) it seriously works. WARNING the first time you put it on overnight it burns, a lot. But you stop sweating out of your armpits entirely.

Because modern deodorants are absolute crap filled with chemicals you don't need, fragrances and binding agents. Eventually these leave resides that clog pores that can lead to issues and rashes.

I use this which is what people mostly used before the advent of trying to sell you bullshit you don't need all in the guise of providing profits to investors.

This may take awhile for you to get used to this but works excellent for me - hardly any smell at all - no rashes - no bullshit shit lasts fucking forever.

Your armpits smell because modern deodorants just mask smell they don't make the environment inhospitable for growth to even take place to where it becomes an issue with smell. Once you start using this give it a week or two as your body and skin adjust.

I cut my own hair. Every 2 weeks when I cut my hair I put the "blending" guard on the clippers and run them over my armpits to trim back my arm pit hair. Its long enough that its not itchy but short enough to be more hygienic.

I use Thai Crystal Deodorant Stone under my arms. It has no scent and it doesn't stain. Its Potassium Aluminum Sulfate which is sometimes referred to as Alum block. There is a debate as to whether its safe because of the link between aluminum and Alzheimer's disease. Some people claim the Potassium Aluminum Sulfate molecule is too large to pass through your skin. Its up to you to research but from what I've read its no worse than any other under arm deodorant product sold in grocery stores.

I think the stuff works great. No gummy feeling under my arms and no stains on my shirts. A Thai Crystal Deodorant Stone lasts me 8 months to a year. I get from Whole Foods Market for about 8 bucks. It requires you to wet the stone with cold water and rub a wet hand over your armpit then vigorously rub around under your arm for 30 to 60 seconds but after the area has been covered I've gone up to 3 days with no pit odor. You apply it right after a shower. It won't do anything if you already stink, it prevents the smell from developing in the first place. When stones get too small for under my arms I use them on my face after I shave and on small cuts to stop the bleeding.
