Even though it's unsubstantiated, I'm pretty sure there's no switch for ketosis. It'll gradually increase the longer your fast is, and it'll be easier with LCHF. The more you do IF, the more your body will get used to training in the fasted state and using fat as energy, so hopefully, you won't feel lightheaded later on. Give it a week or two.

The best thing is to help drain as much of the mucus out as possible. For this, I’d highly recommend saltwater nasal spray. You can buy it at the drugstore. I like to make it with sterile water and Himalayan sea salt because that has added minerals. I’ve used it on myself when I have a cold and it’s amazing how it really breaks everything up. Also, holding him in a steamy shower (obviously not too hot) will help a lot with drainage. Even if he doesn’t get wet and you just hold him there with the steam and wipe his nose as stuff comes out.

I very rarely pop zits but this is the process I use when I do. Make sure that the zit is in poppable condition. It has to be "tight" and "taut". Wash wish warm water. Use a disposable, sterile lancet to pop the pimple, and use a clean pimple popper to gently, gently, gently extract the crud. You should not squeeze the zit as much as apply downward pressure on either side of it. Then wash your skin again.

Both can be great cubes. What is your preference? The Shuang Ren is a much dryer, faster feeling cube, while the AoLong is a smooth, clicky feeling puzzle. Performance wise, the AoLong is a better cube, but a Shuang Ren is better for people who prefer a cube that feels slightly more stable.

Oh, and for lube, Traxxas 50k weight Differential oil. Buy a syringe like this one and use it to apply the lube. Hope I helped!

The nasal sprayer sprays ~0.1ml per spray. I worked the math out so i'm getting 800mcg per spray, but i'd guess more like 750mcg.

And a note - Benzyl alcohol is synthesized using sodium hydroxide - at least the more expensive Benzyl alcohol is. And that's safe. But cheaper Benzyl alcohol is synthesized using formaldehyde, so at the end of the day I would go for a saline based nasal spray instead of benzyl alcohol-based, because you never know how the Benzyl alcohol you purchase was synthesized. Though, if you're kind of reckless like me, you can just use BA because it's been found that low dose formaldehyde doesn't really have much negative effect on animals. You can find recipes/ratios for a saline solution. The goal of having a sodium or Benzyl Alcohol is to keep away microbes.

From the photo, the bright blue things are lancets - they’re basically the needles that go into your fingers. You’ll want to alternative fingers when testing - that helps prevent scarring (if you reuse them too much, it’ll get dull which causes the scarring). New lancet per blood draw. You’ll want to take the blood from the sides of the finger (though idk why) - too far to the side though and it’ll hurt more than necessary.

The test strips (here’s a closer look) are what reads your blood after pricking your finger. The side with the arrow goes into the machine and you’ll want the strip in the machine before you draw the blood (other side of strip, in the middle). Not sure if it was my machine being finicky, but I had to angle it a certain way so the blood wasn’t drawn up too quickly or the machine would throw up an error - you’ll have to play around with that. The strips are really the most expensive part in all of this (there’s bits of gold in it) but it’s also the bit you can’t reuse.

The silver pen looking thing is what holds the lancet. You basically open it like a pen and put a lancet in before recapping. You’ll probably have numbers - the lower the number, the less the lancet comes out (shallower prick), the higher the number, the more the needle comes out (deeper prick / if you develop calluses).

Ideal, by the books method of using it is alcohol swab the finger/area you will prick. Put a new lancet into the pen thing. Turn on machine and put the strip in. Immediately prick, squeeze blood out, dip the strip into the puddle of blood and wait the 1-2 seconds for your result (or notification of error...in which case you repeat the dipping with a new test strip). Clean and bandage your finger.

You’ll want most tests under 140. Occasional blips are ok (ie your baby shower and gender reveal are ok) but don’t make it a daily thing.

The meals don’t have to be full sit down meals - 3 normal meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) + 3 snacks in between...which is a lot easier said than done in the beginning. After like a week, I found myself constantly starving so that made eating a lot easier (ofc then I found myself staring longingly at my food and waiting for the next meal to come).

For tracking purposes, I found glucose buddy to be great. I jotted down what I ate in the notes section and at the end of the week, you can download a report with your numbers and your meals come up as little footnotes.

Edit: as an aside, the monitor comes with a pouch for you to put everything into. There’s a mesh zipper pocket on one side (for bandaids, alcohol pads, lancets) and elastic bands on the other. Both the pen and monitor goes alongside the spine, the test strips stay in the container it comes in and goes perpendicular to the spine.

1. Wash area with hibiclens generic walgreens. The generic one at walgreens does not have dye. He can use this stuff like a mask and rub a bit on after cleaning the area, and leave it on for a few minutes. This will take care of the acne. Do this twice a day. However, if it gets dry from using this, I would follow it up with Sebamed Clear Face Care Gel as a moisturizer on the area.
   
   If he picks and pops the area a lot, I would say buy some sterile lancets from walgreens or cvs like these
   
   After cleaning the area, he can gently use the lancet on the pimple(s) in question. He doesn't have to squeeze them. Then apply a hydrocolloid bandage over the pimples, and wear it for 12-48 hours. This will draw out all the puss and fluids and will heal them quicker.

This sounds like a healthy diet, whether or not it is a ketogenic diet. And it seems to be working for you, which is great news.

It might be ketogenic. Even a pound of snap peas is only about 20 grams of carb. So it really depends on what you mean by "a LOT". If you are curious, you might try getting a food scale and using a macro-counting app like MyFitnessPal. Alternately, you could keep eating the way you are, and not worry about it as long as it seems to be working for you.

Here is some controversial advice, but for people just starting out, KetoStix can sometimes help you figure out whether you've gone into ketosis. Many people here will tell you they don't work, especially after you've been on a very low-carb diet for a while, but back when I was first getting started, it was reassuring to have an indicator that I'm on the right track.

All the sticks will tell you is, "At some point in the recent past, your body created some ketones and they overflowed into your urine." They can't say if you still have ketones in your blood. And they can't spot if you have ketones in your blood but none are overflowing into your urine. But if you darken the strips a few times, it's a good sign that you are on the right track even without buying a scale, and then you can stop using them just like everyone advises.

An in-use cartridge or vial is fine out of the fridge at normal room temperature basically until you finish using it. You'll want to make sure it doesn't freeze in winter and doesn't overheat in summer but generally if it's in a temperature-controlled area with you (in the cabin of the car, not in the trunk) or in your bag while you walk around, it should be fine in all but the most extreme weather. Just keep a thought for things like not leaving your bag in the car on hot/cold days or sitting in the sun while you lounge poolside for hours or something. ;)

If insulin goes bad from temperature generally what happens is it just stops being as effective - it doesn't become harmful for you to take in itself but you will start to have a more frustrating time trying to manage your blood sugar. It's a good idea to always have at least one in-date cartridge / vial that you know has always been at a controlled temperature, so that you can switch to it if you ever suspect your current one has gone off, just to check if "fresh" insulin makes a difference.

Sharps disposal away from home: if you're going to be using pens then you'll have pen needles which are relatively small and self contained. I usually just shoved any used pen needles into my diabetes bag til I got home and could dump them in my regular sharps container. (You can even get diabetes bags that have "trash" compartments in them for things like this! e.g. https://sugarmedical.com/diabetes-supply-cases/supply-cases-featuring-trashcan or https://www.diabete-ezy.com/diabetes-cases) Sometimes I would bend the needle that goes down into the pen itself for extra insurance, since it's technically exposed once the needle is used, but that's not really necessary if you're in a hurry. You can also get needle clippers! They look like a miniature handheld stapler kinda thing (https://www.amazon.ca/Safe-Clip-Insulin-Syringe-Needle-Clipper/dp/B002ZUE5KE). But for pen needles it's not really necessary because of the needle cap and the limited possibilities for re-use (compared to a syringe). For syringes those clippers are really handy though!

I mainly wear pants/top combos so it was easy enough to lift my shirt and inject into my stomach wherever I was. I'll be honest, sometimes if I'm wearing a thin layer that would be hard to remove (like a tucked in cami or something) I'd just inject through it. NOT hygienic and officially NOT recommended but in the real world it gets the job done sometimes! I've also injected many a time through holes in my shirt/pants if there was one ;) But if you want to be a bit more legit about it you can actually inject into the fatty part of the back of your arm (a bit awkward to get the hang of at first but it can be done! The newer 4mm needles can be used without "pinching up" so you can technically inject one-handed). Or you could go somewhere private to inject. There is a lot of talk out there about not injecting in the bathroom, but that is mostly talk about not being asked or required to go into the bathroom to take insulin. If that's what works for you because of your outfit or your comfort levels injecting in front of people, then do it!

I hear the best way to monitor ketones is through blood monitor. It's something I want to monitor to see how my levels are affected after eating certain foods but it's not a must. Actually have an aloe plant and just break pieces off and rub it on my face. It’s a great plant because it hates direct sunlight, and you only have to water it like once every 2-3 weeks. Plus it puts off a ton of oxygen so it’s a great, low maintenance indoor plant that’s also great for your skin.

You sound like you have sensitive skin like me honestly. Try to avoid hot water and harsh products and try focusing on healing your skin for a little bit.

OK here's a step by step as good as I can get it-

You will need:

1. powdered kratom
   
   
2. cocoa butter (available from Amazon)
   
   
3. suppository molds (also from Amazon)
   
   
4. oral injection syringe (again, Amazon)
   
   
5. a square sided mason jar or glass
   
   
6. masking tape
   
   
7. cheesecloth or a clean old tee shirt
   
   
8. a small mug
   
   Melt about a cup of the cocoa butter. You can do this in a little pan on the stove, or in a bowl in the microwave. Add about 2 tbsp of the kratom (I used a good painkilling red vein). Saute for a minute or two but be careful - if you're on the stove, you don't want to burn the kratom, just infuse it through the cocoa butter.
   
   Get your cheesecloth or old tee shirt fabric or whatever you're using to strain the kratom, and strain the cocoa butter through it into the mug. Discard the kratom solids.
   
   Tape your suppository molds to the outside of the square sided mason jar or glass. This was the easiest way I could figure to keep them upright in the fridge - they come in a sheet, so you just tape a sheet to the outside of the glass.
   
   Use the syringe to fill the suppository molds with the kratom cocoa butter. Put the molds in the fridge - they should be firm enough to use in about 15 minutes. You can clean the syringe afterwards by boiling it in soapy water. If you have leftover kratom cocoa butter, you can put it in a mason jar and stick it in the fridge and it will keep so you can make more suppositories later.
   
   SO was using one once in the morning and found that it helped him all day. He said he wouldn't do it more than twice a day - I think on the first day he used another one at bedtime. It isn't enough kratom to give him a full-body effect, but it's very good pain relief.

Keep in mind that ketones and blood glucose are also circadian. So measurements in the morning will show higher blood glucose even if you are fasted.

Happy to hear about your weight lose! Statins come with risk/side effects and really should be taken as a last resort. Frankly doctors like yours who so friviously throw drugs at problems piss me off.

LDL-C is not a direct measurement, but is estimated from HDL, Total Cholesterol and Triglyceride measurements. To get a direct measuremnt of LDL in your blood you need to take an advanced lipid panel test to measurw LDL-P. This will provide you with a measurement of LDL particle sizes. Why this matters is because small LDL particles increase your risk of heart disease while large LDL particles do not.

LDL particles are the only transportation mechanism in the body for lipids (fat). When you are on a high fat diet (or do IF) you while have more LDL particles, which all contain cholesterol, and hence a higher LDL-C - this tells you very little. Small LDL particles are recycled to liver via HDL, so it is not good that you have low HDL - this is a better indicator of heart disease risk.

On top all of this the LDL-C measurements can be screwed up just by what you ate a day or two leading up to the test. You can get a very low LDL-C by overeating a 24/7 high carb diet 3 days before your blood draw.

Weight loss also really screws up LDL-C readings. You need to be stable for a couple months to get a good reading.

I would also get a test your C-reactive protien levels. This is a marker of inflammation and a much better marker foe heart disease risk. You want a low c-reactive protien levels.

Honestly I would never go on a statin without knowing for sure there was an issue and hands down a calcium scan of the heart will 100% tell you if there is a problem.

I studied this extensively when I got high LDL-C reading.

I'd like to point out that urine-based keto strips aren't the best way to test for ketosis, because you can be in ketosis without ketones showing up in urine. Finger-stick blood testing is the best way to go, but it's not cheap because you have to get a meter, and the test strips are considerably more expensive than glucose strips.

An alternate way to check is indirectly, through blood glucose testing, but this doesn't work if you have either diabetes or metabolic syndrome. In short, you need to check your glucose four to six times a day, before eating, as you begin to enter ketosis. When you first cut carbs out of your diet, you should see a drop of some greater or lesser magnitude, but after a few days, it should come back up and settle at a pretty stable level. That's a good indicator that your body has started to produce ketones to maintain your blood glucose at a stable level.

I don't know what kind of lancing device you use, but there was only one lancing device I've ever used that is by far the most painless. I have mine on a zero. It could also have something to do with the needle size. Some lancets are much bigger than others and it certainly does not make the process any easier. This fastclix accuchek is the one that I use. It was given to me by the diabetes doctor but diabetes runs in my family so I've had a wide variety of stabbers to experience and the one they gave me is by far the best. There is no pull back spring action too.

Pretty simple really. First you'd want a nasal spray bottle like [this] (https://www.amazon.com/Sprayer-Improved-2-Pack-Colloidal-Applications/dp/B00JZ29SQ6). They hold 1oz/30ml liquid max with ~0.1ml per spray/pump. Then you'd want to use Distilled water or saline solution preferably, but plain old water would work too. Then just figure out a ratio that works for you. For example if you were to dissolve 1g/1000mg K into 5ml liquid that would be 200mg/ml and roughly 20mg/spray. Or 1g/10ml then end up with 10mg/spray. Add the powder into the spray bottle, put your desired amount of solution in, shake and done. Ketamine is freely soluble in water.

You can look around for different nasal spray bottles as some of them have different amounts of liquid per spray, some let out more than .1ml of liquid per spray.

Not the most effective method if you're trying to do higher doses or k-hole since you'd have to spray a bunch of liquid up your nose but you mentioned lower doses like 30mg so this method should work fine.

Hey, you're okay. Try and calm down. You don't even know that you have diabetes. There's other reasons for this. Try and get one of these, sleep with a pillow at the bottom of your bed so you don't hit the foot board, and try and get some better fitting shoes. Check your feet daily for any open wounds or redness.

Just ordered these (and a bunch of other shit, thank you Amazon Prime) to make my own sprays. Snoot brand is pretty good as far as I know, they've got other sizes/types there too if that doesn't work for you.

I dunno about U4 but with fentalogues if they're hcl form you can just use water, maybe saline too (I'm new to making my own sprays so I'm not sure if saline is necessary or not) and as far as I know, you don't use PG for spray solutions, only droppers, etc. That's why you're not getting a mist, PG is too thick, and I've never heard of it being used for spray.

I plan to just use distilled water to make fu-f solutions. As long as it dissolves properly (dipping the beaker in hot water to get rid of chunks) and mix it together well enough I believe that's all that's needed. Try reading around and finding out more, that's what I've been doing.

I have a mild case of anemia. I can get extra crabby/weak/dizzy + the heart palpitations & muscle stiffness when it gets too low but thankfully I've never been hospitalized or required transfusion. What do you need to know?

So calories in have to be < than calories burned in order for you to lose weight, but with the Keto diet many find that they have to make sure that they're in ketosis to get any benefit. When I did my last keto cycle (I lost 55 pounds with keto + moderate exercise) I found that for me, if I ate things that had even sugar alcohols in them it would push me out of ketosis. Buy the strips, they're cheap, fast and they definitely help you figure out how your body reacts. Again, this isn't a foolproof method, it's just a way to get more information from your body as to how it's reacting to the diet.

For some reason, this subreddit really likes to downvote stuff pertaining to actually testing if you're in nutritional ketosis. I, myself, find it helpful to ensure I'm not getting carb creep from surprising areas.

Blister bandages(hydrocolloids) or other acne patches (there are 2 kinds, tiny hydrocolloids, and little patches with acne medication on them) really help me with not picking. I use sterile lancets to gently poke a small hole in any whiteheads that I have, then I put the hydrocolloids on them and leave it on overnight or longer if I can. The hydrocolloids draw out and absorb fluid, so normally by morning they've absorbed most or all of what was in there.


For acne that isn't a whitehead I tend to use the other kind of acne patch to help keep from messing with it, the medicated acne patches are not good for absorbing fluid from whiteheads though. Also links are just for examples so you know what I'm talking about, I'm not recommending any specific product.

Me and the wife picked up a couple of these on Amazon. We wanted a hard case for a little extra security and they look nice. Nice price, too.

I loved it. Kept shots cool, and also had plenty of room for alcohol wipes, hand sanitizer, bandaids, etc. And I just put my used needles with caps on back inside until I could get home to dispose of them properly.

Not sure what “in the field” means in your case, but I would usually inject in the bathroom wherever I was, for privacy. But in a pinch, all you’re really exposing is a bit of your belly, if you could find just a small tucked away space.

ETA: I had to do my shots both in the morning and the evening. It's possible you could set up a schedule for before and after work, but sounds like that might be tough with erratic hours. For most shots (the big exception being your trigger shot) a 2-hour window is generally fine (at least with my RE), so you do have some flexibility.

For a seven day fast it sounds like you should have it planned just about right. One week pre fasting, weening yourself of processed complex foods to low volumes of unprocessed foods for a week, the fast for a week, and the recovery for a week slowly bringing your body back to a normal routine. Since you have already done a one week fast you know what to expect form your body, probably more so than anyone else. I would recommend some ketostix to keep tabs on what your body is doing. Also, the mental side of fasting is super important... be mentally prepared for a difficult endeavor and be prepared to be emotional during the fast.

I currently use a needle-nosed pliers to break off the needle and put it into a Sharps container. But I bought one of the needle clippers to give it a try. One issue I've had with the pliers is that sometimes the plastic is very brittle and my needle goes shooting around the kitchen. The needle clipper should be safer than that, and it claims:

I had a friend once who was really into keto. He lost a TON of weight on the diet and he was obsessed with whether or not he was in ketosis. He even went as far as to buy keto strips to measure whether or not his body was in ketosis.

According to him and from what I remember lurking /r/keto years back, it takes 3 days of eating under 20g of carbs a day to enter ketosis. Again, I would definitely recommend asking /u/awesomejohnson as I am definitely no expert when it comes to keto.

I'd strongly recommend that you log your weight every day and also buy and useketostix. This, added to the [weight chart] (https://www.fourmilab.ch/cgi-bin/HackDiet) will provide you with excellent feedback about what's going on with your body. When you do binge on carbs, you'll see the graph and the sticks tell you if you are in ketosis or out of it.

You're probably just managing your electrolytes better than I am, don't worry about it! (: If you want to, you can get ketone strips to check.

This is awesome. I would recommend trading in the candy for some glucose paste. It's much more effective, and less of a choking hazard.

I use a different Co2 so can't say as I don't have that to check, but the flourish I use is 2 times a week as well.

For measuring you can use the cap(I hate doing that) or look for syringes that would be the right size for your tank. There's quite a variety. You should be able to find something that measures up to what you dose and has a way to get it from the bottle.

Some examples Curved tip like this one, or even using one without the curved tip with airline tubing that you measured how much it holds in addition to the syringe.

Those were just quick links, best to shop around a bit more or find something local for cheaper.

My 2c-b solutions have stayed fresh and effective for up to five months when kept in the fridge.

Also wanted to mention the Snoot sprayers which make a fine mist with 0.1 ml per dose.

It's ok. You're struggling and you've probably tried everything you can.

If you start, make sure if you relapse, you don't go to your old dose. Be safe with your disposal and use clean, sterile needles. My dog has diabetes and we use this to cut off the needles after we are finished.

Also, try and find support groups in your area.

The easiest way to tell if you're in ketosis is to use ketostix.

Also, some nuts have more net carbs than others (cashews have much more than walnuts, for example) so you might want to watch those.

Lastly, you should really track you food (at least in the beginning) it really helps to get a better picture what you're actually eating.

I pour 1 beer into measuring cup with 12oz in it. I add 1ml of extract at a time until I get the flavor profile I want.

So, assume I was happy with 2ml per 12oz sample I would figure 640oz (5 gallons)/ 12oz * 2 = 107 ml of extract to add

This is the best and most convenient way to self adinister ketamine IMO. You can buy metered sprayers on Amazon. They pump 0.10 mL per pump. So five sprays will give a dose of 100 mg. Ketamine max solubility is 1 gram per 5 mL. One baking teaspoon of water is also almost exactly 5 mL and also weighs exactly 5 grams. I would recommend sterile saline eye wash as your dilutant, available at any drug store. To ensure sterility optical solutions contain a preservative like benzalkonium chloride which will keep any funk out of your spray. To tell the truth I've used tap water but if you make big batch a little preservative is nice.

Also, ketamine drip tastes like ass. I recommend one drop and one drop only per spray bottle of peppermint essential oil. It will open your sinuses and kill the taste of the ketamine. But that is strictly optional.

Believe me this works. And it's going to be more effective than key bumps. You are just limited by how much fluid your nasal membranes can absorb at once. But you can discreetly spray every few minutes and be floored. It's not a waste at all. Infiusion clinics prescribe this as aftercare for their patients (it's made at compounding pharmacies). Use the strongest solution you can make, usually a gram per 5 mL. A small amount of heat, like dunking the spray bottle in a cup of hot water can help the ketamine dissolve.

Also if you use preserved saline or bacteriostatic water, you can inject this solution intramuscularly. The bioavailability of IM is about twice that of the nasal ROA. And 100 mg of ketamine shot into your shoulder muscle (where you get a flu shot usually) will rock our world. You will K hole if you don't have a tolerance. Just be lying down because the IM method will hit you hard and fast.

My kid is Diabetic, and I have learned that the best, least painful, most hygenic way to deal with these us to steal a lancet from her.

Sterile, tiny needle, poof it's gone. Minimal bleeding, dab a little triple antibiotic ointment on it to keep the snot from getting in and causing an infection.

Get a box at CVS for like $5, it will last you your life (unless you're Diabetic).

You could do it yourself if you're not too squeamish! We did ours in class and it was pretty cool.

I think the biggest problem is trying to squeeze/pop pimples that haven't come to a head yet! Do whatever works best for you and your skin. I don't really log my food so I don't know my macros, but I do count my daily carb intake and I make sure that stays under 15. In most cases I only eat about 8 carb a day max. I don't log my carbs, but I do a general calculation of the calories I intake by looking at the nutritional info and doing mathematics in my head. I only mostly just eat protein and fat.

I don't backpack or do any long hiking (just camping and day hikes). This is all coming from a strength & conditioning POV.

But IMO peanuts or any other nuts are harder to digest, and some studies have even shown that we don't even use all of the nutrients that comes from nuts, so no.

Simple sugars will always be easier to digest, so spoonfuls of sugar would be one of the easiest sources of carbs, but wouldn't taste very good.

Something like this would be one of the most simple forms of sugar you could consume. These types of gels is what most endurance athletes use.

Yeah this is exactly how I use my HCB's. I have cystic acne, so I let the pimple come to a head, lance them with these and cover with the bandage. It speeds healing time dramatically and significantly reduces scarring. But yes, as you said, I doubt they would work effectively, or at all, on closed blackheads; unless it physically removes it, as I find my HCB's are Very sticky.

Current Routine

Hi all, for a while now I’ve been using a cleanser and moisturizer routine. Originally, I began with the CeraVe cleanser and tub, but found that the fatty acids in them caused me to break out. Since, I’ve transitioned over to Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream and Ultra Gentle Foaming Cleanser.

Main Issue

Though I haven’t really been strict with my routine, I try to use them twice a day - morning and night. Problem is, however, that when I get out of the shower my dace is dry (not tight) and full of dead skin, but just 2 hours later, it becomes extremely oily. The moisturizer has helped a ton, but I think the dead skin is causing me to break out more than ever before since it’s now trapped.

I did some digging and it seems that a BHA would be a good next step for me to add, is this true? If so, any suggestions on what would work for my skin in specific?

Other Questions

1. Would it be advisable to use my cleanser and moisturizer combo 3x a day (11am, 6pm, 1am)? My skin feels oily (doesn't look that way according to others so I may be overreacting) midday so it would make me feel more clean, but might be too harsh - not sure.

holy crap this is scary as fuck! please please please be careful. it's very obvious you don't know what you are doing. remember 2 grams is 2,000 pills. don't try to eyeball doses or keybumps or anything like that. first step: get a milligram scale!!!! you said earlier you have a gemini 20, that's would work just fine. then you are going to need a graduated cylinder, and some PG. i do 2mg per 1 ml of pg. so i weigh out 100mg of etizolam, carefully measure out 50 ml of pg then mix the two in a vial. just shake it hard core then let it rest overnight then shake it some more (takes it a while to dissolve in PG). make sure to store the vial outside of sunlight because that damages the etizolam (i wrapped electrical tape around my travel vial). then get a transfer pipette or oral syringe and make your dose (half a ml for 1 pill, 1ml for 2 pills). tastes horrible, best to put it in a drink or have a chaser handy. PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!! it's hard to measure out under half a ml accurately so 10mg a ml means you HAVE to do at least 5 at a time. it's just a good recipe to extreme and dangerous addiction and would make it even harder to taper off.

I'd think a doctor or blood bank would do it, saying as knowing one's blood type is pretty important. You could alternatively buy a kit online like this.

You can also get the test strips that test for ketones and sugar in the urine. My son was initially diagnosed as Type 1 because there was so much sugar in his urine, it was off the chart. He didn't have any ketones (thankfully).

Also, finger poke tests with the kits that you buy are less painful, typically, than the ones at the doctor. My son's doc uses what I like to call the "harpoon" to prick his finger unless we bring in our lancet. Partly because I've learned how to feel when I'm in it or not, but mostly because I checked later that day with Ketostix. Definitely get some if you haven't already.

If it helps, long before we tested professionally I used an EldonCard at home and it was accurate. I wouldn't make major medical decisions based on it, but LabCorp and other discount out-of-pocket labs probably offer the blood type test relatively cheaply as well.

I can't tell you if its safe, but I do this all the time without thinking of it. If I pop a couple that are close, I'll cut the bandage big enough to cover them all. Maybe thats why they keep coming back in the same places....

They sell pee sticks (here's one example) that, depending on the color on it, indicates if you're in ketosis or not, and at which level you are.

You could try 1 stick a day after your "cheat" days to see how many days it takes your body to go back to ketosis THEN make a decision based on the results?

IMO you'd have better data to base your decision on. Ex: if you get back in ketosis 4 days after your "cheats" VS it takes 7 days.

Cheapest I have found come off of Amazon, there are quite a few options (like this). Maybe you can find a Canadian seller so the shipping charges won't be so bad. Also when you get some you can easily double the number of strips you have by cutting them in half length-wise with a pair of scissors. There is still more then enough of the test patch to get a clean reading. That being said I agree with others here that you should not depend on these long term as the results can be misleading.

Hydrocolloid bandages were a total game changer for me. I've tried several different brands and highly recommend Skinae Acwin Plus Derm.

If I've picked a spot, I put this on and it helps to bring things to the surface cleanly and heal what I messed with. I've also used a lancet (like this one) to pop a pimple if I see a whitehead forming, then place the hyrdocolloid bandage on top to suck it all out without forceful popping.

I broke out throughout my entire course of Accutane. I'm better now, but I still get the occasional spot. These hydrocolloid bandages keep me sane.

This is probably a good start. It’s not proprietary, so it’s cheaper. But I’ll keep looking for the official one I found.

I don't eat much more meat than I used to, but I do eat a lot more fats, and cleaner sources of carbohydrate. Get yourself some ketostix (other brands and retailers are available) they'll be able to tell you more definitively whether or not you're in ketosis. But, yeah, fatigue can sometimes be an indication that your body has entered ketosis.

You should clean the area before you pop. To be hygienic you can use sterile lancets. (Useful guide here)

About your dieting plan. You aren't losing real weight; lets say you lost 10 pounds in 6 days; you probably lost 2.5 pounds max of real body weight; in a couple days; assuming you eat normally, you should gain back 6 to 8 pounds. If you want to be in ketosis; why not do a low carb intermittant fasting plan. Fasting for 6 days for weightloss, isn't the smartest thing. That 2.5 pounds of weight loss was probably alot of muscle. If you have the mental fortitude to go 6 days fasting; you absolutely have the requisite mental strength to follow a healthier mostly fat loss weightloss plan.

As people mentioned, dry ice will probably be a problem.

I recommend something like an insulin carrying pouch. Very portable and the ice packs melt slowly.

I've used that lancer for years now. It has literally taken every sort of lancet that I have thrown into it. Admittedly some have been better than others, but some lancets are just garbage so it figures. These, or these, or these will all work. Really just figure out which gauge you prefer and order a few boxes in that gauge from a few brands and figure out which ones you prefer. That thing will take most of the lancets out there.

In diabetics a high concentration of ketones usually means that they are not creating/injecting enough insulin and they need to see a doctor. Your liver breaks fat into ketones which smell sweet and make your urine and breath smell funny. If you are eating a typical diet and you are producing enough ketones to effect your breath then there is likely something wrong with your liver or your blood sugar.

I tried a couple of lancing systems and so far the one I like the best is the Accu-Chek Fastclix Lancing Device Kit. Whichever one you use, be sure you experiment with the setting so that it delivers the minimal amount of a prick to be able to draw blood with some massaging. Every now and then I'll hit a finger in the wrong way and it will end up sore for a day or so, but usually I can barely feel where I drew blood 15 minutes after having done so.

I know of two groups developing ketone breath meters to determine acetone concentrations in the breath. But I'm not sure how those levels correlate with blood BHB levels, and they are not cheap.

I went to the drugstore and picked up a syringe...it was in the oral hygiene department. Something like this:

And when I say hit it "directly," I do mean directly. Put the tip of the syringe directly on the surface that the algae is growing on. Each day hit different spots. If it's particularly thick in the area, hit the same spot in back-to-back days. BHA is stubborn stuff, as you know, but this is definitely beating it back.

Although I am type II, I carry a bag on the rig that has my glucometer and snacks and glucose gel if I go too low. I don't go too high because I take trulicity and the times I am high, it usually results in me having to urinate frequently. I haven't had any issues, but if I decide to stop carrying a bag, I will put it in one of my pockets along with a snack or glucose. Does your insulin need to be kept cold while you are on duty? Or do you use a pump?

Just wanted to agree with a few of the others already in here; the Fastclix is awesome. I've used a lot of lancet devices and this is by far the least painful. (The Softclix is the old version of this; they don't make it anymore.) The downside is that you've got to change the drums out a little more frequently than you would with a traditional lancet. (Which I would change out practically never.) If you don't change the fast clix out after every 3 or 4 times (per needle in the drum; there are 6 per drum, so that's like 18 stabs.) , it gets dull fast and starts to hurt a little.

I've even stabbed my wife with it and she was surprised, she clicked it, then said, 'Wait, did it even stab me??!' and then squeezed her finger and got blood.

No. It takes several days of very low carb to get into ketosis. You can prove it to yourself by pissing on ketostix.

Sterile lancets aren't too expensive, fairly small and are relatively easy to use. For what I see here, it may be too small, but it could do the trick by exposing the the innards enough to where the lancet can dig under and pull out a possible infected hair. If anything, it opens this for draining.

it's a little tough for me to give specifics because I have memory issues from brain damage that I suffered in 2013 (part of the reason I started using INI in the first place was the proclaimed memory benefits). I was using the 30ml "snoot" spray bottle (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JZ29SQ6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and, because I was nervous about it, I was just doing one squirt, alternating nostrils, every other day. Probably for a period of 5 months. But like I said, memory problems, brain damage, so maybe give or take a couple months.

Here's my experiences:

• Plugging is the best route of administration if you're persistently using. IV is a nice treat, but it does harden veins, and some batches will collapse your veins pretty quickly. The strength and smoothness (lack of side effects) of plugging makes it quite nice. The duration is similar to insufflation.
  
• I've trade IMing, and it was not as bad as street heroin. Still wouldn't recommend it, but I IM'd it in my butt and my thigh to no great pain or damage.
  
• Oral RoA is similar feel to plugging but slightly longer duration, and a fair amount less potent.
  
• If you want to make your own nasal sprays see here. Spray in yo nose at work and say it's nasal steroids, you feel?
  
• The withdrawals are intense but short-lived. You should be relatively good in 4 days of cold turkey. It's usually hard to keep food (and even liquids) down. You might need help from other substances like kratom or etizolam.
  
• Compared to heroin, it is more of a mental high than physical, although it's quite good at pain killing. I enjoy the feel more than heroin, but I often use heroin to get me through a day at work with no withdrawals due to the short duration.
  
• At my height, I was using 300mg in a single plugged dose. I'm also using heroin (couple times a week) regularly so that's making my tolerance higher too. Right now I'm around 150mg-200mg to get a good high but I'm usually doing 60-100mg just to taper down. I take about 4-5 doses a day if I'm actively using. The real killer is that with tolerance the duration decreases. It only lasts maybe 1 hour 20 minutes for me when my tolerance is high. Withdrawals start about 5-6 hours after last dose. 8-9 hours later and you start getting sick. Starts with achiness and nausea for me though.
  
• My tolerance might've been slightly fucked (at 300mg) cause I did a few patches of fentanyl some weeks ago.
  
• The white stuff is way less caustic, but is only about 3/4ths as potent as the off-white stuff. I would never IV the off-white stuff, and I'd avoid insufflating it too. Insufflating caused pretty bad nose irritation for me with the off-white stuff, and my nose is leather as fuck.
  
• Heroin, kratom, etc. will help withdrawals if you want to taper, but some side effects do remain unless you get on really high doses. Sweating and nausea (choleric effects) seem to be the worst.
  
• I have not noted any PAWS from withdrawaling after months of heavy usage, but my reward pathways are probably super fucked already from polysubstance abuse. So YMMV!!
