Shirt stays, shirt stays and shirt stays again! They changed my life.
I like to wear Express slim or fitted shirts, I usually buy Small Tall size for Fitted and Medium for Slim. They're the cheapest shirts that fit me without tailoring. Fabric quality is meh -- better than H&M and than some stuff at Uniqlo, but not really good. Massive color and pattern selection. Price when purchased either 50% off with coupons or on Clearance is $20-29.
Shirt stays are amazing though, they've made all my other slim shirts fit me extremely well whereas before they did not. American Apparel Slim Oxfords used to constantly slip out from under my belt due to not being intended to be worn that way, but now they don't and what's more is that they look like my body was chiseled out of flat granite. The stays tighten your shirt until it's flat, it's a look that can only normally be achieved by pinning.
These are the ones that I got: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01L6CVV9Y. I picked the ones that went around my thigh in a harness shape. These are the best ones, be sure to get the metal clip ones for durability. You can get them on eBay or from other places on Amazon, but I gotta say, in fifteen years that I have worn dress shirts, this is the biggest and greatest thing that has happened to me. The image you project is fantastic, your shirt sits perfectly straight and unruffled, completely and perfectly tucked in with no creasing. It's like a dream, or like the models you see photos of online.
Beware though, if your belly area isn't flat, it will show! I am tall and skinny (6"2' 165-175lb) with a flat belly, but if I overeat with lots of liquids can literally see a small bulge forming due to the fact the shirt starts keep it so tight. It's not really noticeable unless you look from the side, but it's there. So you do kinda have to be fit or have a large chest that causes the fabric to contour the chest and skip the belly.
I bought them from costco, but these are pretty nice. They're kind of thick so IDK if you'd want them for the spring though. They are a regular fit, so if you are slim or looking for a slimmer fit I'd size down or look elsewhere. They're great for layering though, or if you're like me and don't mind a loose fitting flannel with a tee, they work nice as well.
1 Okay, I love this, but I think you should wear a men's button downwith a tie and glasses and knee highs over it. So , like come out in the button down and knee highs and tights and then unbutton it, because that's really sexy!
2.I lovethese! in the BW color
3Weird....I did this part, but it got removed? Here are the ones I had on here. NIN- Closer Kia, my neck my back and kid rock so hott!
4.Mine would be alexandra because i think it sounds kind of classy(like i would like my lingerie to look like im a "rich stay at home wife", but it still could sound dirty and ppl could call me alex for short.
5 I would definitely buy this if I made that much money in 1 night...wow, that is AWESOME! ( i hope you hit that one night soon!, we should have a raoa meetup there and it will def. happen lol!)
Imo something along the lines of the mfa uniform 1.0 would be a good option. Some time in the next few years, you'll find it useful to have both a blue and white OCBD, so if you've got the time, now is a good time to get one. There are lots of options; I've got this if you want a recommendation for something fairly cheap and easily available (because Amazon).
As always, wearing things that fit and make you comfortable are the primary concerns. A large part of clothing is about making you feel handsome, because that confidence is much of what people find attractive.
Good luck on your interview!
Simple solution: when you give them their first set of cuff links, also send some French cuff shirts. You can actually get them from Amazon. This line of [Perry Ellis] (http://www.amazon.com/Perry-Ellis-French-Iridescent-Cabernet/dp/B00OC5VZ8U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1420387775&sr=8-1&keywords=french+cuff) shirts is actually pretty nice (don't confuse them with Perry the Platypus shirts, of course) and there are plenty of less expensive options, like these [Stacy Adams] (http://www.amazon.com/Stacy-Adams-39000-Dress-Shirt/dp/B00CBQ6YSS/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1420387775&sr=8-6&keywords=french+cuff) shirts.
Buying dress shirts without having handled any of them before can be a bit tricky, but if you go with some that have good reviews, you're probably okay. The key is to just get the guys to like French cuff shirts, then they'll find their own that they prefer.
I was pretty fortunate that I got hooked on them by doing a lot of international traveling for work -- my co-workers in Europe all wear French cuffs, and when we were in southeast Asia I had a bunch of shirts tailored, which really makes you fall in love with clothes...
Pants:
[2-3 pairs of Dockers Alpha Khakis (slim/skinny fit) in a variety of colors, be sure to check back there if the color you want is out of stock.] (http://www.amazon.com/Dockers-Alpha-Khaki-Tapered-Pebble/dp/B004VQ9C80/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1377038536&sr=8-1&keywords=dockers+alpha+khaki)
2-3 pairs of Levis 511s (slim/skinny fit) also in a variety of colors; or any pair of pants of your amazon WL, as long as you have jeans cause they were very versatile and go with pretty much anything
Shirts:
Demin shirt from H&M; you can wear it as is or layer it and put a tshirt under it and leave it unbuttoned
Simple Long Sleeved Tshirt any color your prefer
Cotton button up also very good for layering or wearing alone; any color you prefer
Maroon Cotton Tshirt
Cotton Graphic Tshirt
I would also recommend pretty much any shirt from here: http://shop.cottonon.com/shop/men/t-shirts/ (note: sometimes cheap material though). Also their button ups: http://shop.cottonon.com/shop/men/shirts/ (choose darker colors cause of the fall season; great for layering over graphic tshirts if you need something) REMEMBER TO CHANGE THE REGION TO US
Accessories:
Raybans (only if you can afford them at the moment; they are pretty awesome)
Brown Leather Belt; also recommend you get a black one
Watch #1
Watch #2
Shoes:
Vans Slip Ons
Ralph Lauren Sneak (similar to vans; choose a neutral color preferably)
Canvas sneakers
Canvas Slip Ons
Nike Running Shoes; can be worn as a casual sneaker
Dress Shirt:
Van Heusen Dress Shirt
I hope I helped in any way possible :)
Dress me up
I'm looking for a light purple and light pink twill or poplin shirt (like this color for the purple option). I ordered both colors in the Goodthreads OBCD, but the colors were a little bright and I'm looking for something a little nicer than oxford cloth.
The problem is I got this shirt last year and I love it, and while it says it's an oxford, the fabric doesn't feel like it. The shirt fits so well though that I love it, and I want to find something similar. So can anyone recommend me affordable (<$40) shirts so I can stop wearing blue all the time?
I'm a bigger guy myself 6'0 280. My advice to you is buy some nice, dark v-neck t-shirts, then buy some short sleeve and long sleeve button up shirts of your choosing and wear them unbuttoned over the v-neck. It's a good style for bigger dudes, in my opinion, because you're still comfortable and the layers are more flattering.
Some suggestions:
V-necks
Shirt - You can buy this a little smaller since you're gonna wear it unbuttoned
Maybe pick up some joggers and you'll have nice modern look.
As far as shoes go, I have wide feet too, I ordered these a little while back and they fit me well. I get a lot of compliments on them, although I realize they're weird and not everyone's style.
Has anyone had any experience with their collar stays? I'd love to upgrade to metal and $7 for 9 shirts' worth seems like a great deal.
EDIT to answer my question, it's actually 7 long stays, 7 medium stays, and 4 short stays, so... yeah. That being said, you can get 24 stays here for $1 more: http://www.amazon.com/SHARKK%C2%AE-Stainless-Collar-Plastic-Shirts/dp/B00BHLCGHQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1373940801&sr=8-1&keywords=collar+stays and these are stainless steel, I kinda feel like they'd be more sturdy than bronze... because stainless steel is more sturdy than bronze.
Target is okay, but Kohls... now that's a place I can spend some time shopping at. Seriously, the last time I went I saved $160 and the time before that I turned a $600 bill into $200 with all the discounts they keep stacking. It helps I only go ever 2 or 3 months and keep reopening my Kohls card for that extra 20% off. Then I go back a week later to get a one-off using the Kohls cash they give you. Every time I do this I basically get a shirt for free :)
While I'm on the subject of Kohls clothes, what's MFA's take on Arrow dress shirts, particularly the Poplin style?
http://www.amazon.com/Arrow-Wrinkle-Poplin-Solid-Sleeve/dp/B000VZM7RI
Yeah, this is a hard one. I think the best idea I have is to get something like this and tailor it to fit.
I've searched "contrast collar," which helped a little. For men's sizes, there are tons of color choices for prom sites. You could also find the perfect color/size/material, and then attach a white collar/cuffs (I believe those are on Amazon as well).
Since your size is that big, those Amazon purchases are probably fine. Double pleated pants are generally really baggy, but they should be fine for you since you're a bigger guy.
However, I think you'd be better off with this pant:
https://www.amazon.com/Calvin-Klein-Black-Pinstriped-Button/dp/B00T23A04C/ref=sr_1_4?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1466211118&sr=1-4&nodeID=2476497011&keywords=slim+dress+pants&refinements=p_n_size_six_browse-vebin%3A2445355011&psc=1
For a shirt, this will look great:
https://www.amazon.com/Kenneth-Cole-Reaction-Slim-Fit-Chambray/dp/B00UY0H5A4/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1466211291&sr=8-13&keywords=slim+dress+shirt
I recently found this shirt:
Alex Vando Mens Dress Shirts Regular Fit Long Sleeve Men Shirt(Black,Large)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072QYBXYV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_TFKQBb0B9AKF1
I think it's nice, but I'm not sure what would be best for pants. This outfit would be for casual or semi formal usage so I'm not necessarily just looking for dress pants, but I don't really know too much about matching clothing haha.
Budget: below 50$
Also if I'm lying to myself and this shirt is garbage please tell me.
I got these perfect OCBDs from Amazon for like $13. I was kind of hesitant but they fit me perfectly in every way.
Amazon. Cheap, decent quality, a lot of combo packs w/ multi colors to keep in your repertoire.

I really like this tie, so we will focus our colors around it. https://www.amazon.com/SetSense-Floral-Jacquard-Woven-Purple/dp/B00ST95ULI/ref=sr_1_13?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1485113931&sr=1-13&nodeID=2474937011&keywords=Bow+ties

Edit: The most attractive thing is confidence, if something doesn't feel like "you" don't get it.
>magna click line for their Van Heusen shirts
I spotted these guys which have buttons on them, but use magnetic clicks to hold the "V neck" closed.
It's interesting they have a "no pacemaker" symbol. Uh, wonder if any issue with DBS? (I need to make a note to ask my MDS at my next appt).

Please remember when shopping Amazon to use SMILE.amazon.com I set up MJFF as the charity.

Professional seamstress /tailor/costumer here. You can get the shirts tailored pretty easily. Price depends on where you go. I'd say $35 and up to take a shirt in. Another option is to get a size smaller with a neck extension.
Oh wow :D
https://www.amazon.com/Silverts-Disabled-Elderly-Magnetic-Buttons/dp/B0158IRVG4
Not that expensive ^^
Button down collars keep the collar from spreading. This helps to elongate your face and neck. Also, if you are having problems with the top button you get a button extender. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000F4B77G
First get your neck properly measured to make sure you are getting the correct size.
This is a magnetic button shirt. There is at least one available on Amazon. Target undoubtedly sells a cheaper one though but could not find it, these have been out for a very long time in one form or another
They already sell a complete line for kids.
Tommy Hilfiger also has them as well as several other companies.
Not on a magnetic button shirt where the buttons are pure decoration. Notice that the left side is still on top as it should be with a mens shirt
Collar extenders:
