I have a 40" sceptre tv similar to this but I think it's the x408bv or the x409bv (not sure about the difference). I got it for $155 on tiger direct when there was a big rebate and my cc offered cash back as well. Overall it's a pretty average TV, I wasn't expecting the world from it but it's displayed pretty well. The speakers aren't the best but that may not matter if you have an external setup. After calibrating it with some videos from AVS the picture is definitely good enough for me, although out of the box the settings were pretty shitty and it struggled in dark scenes. I use it mainly with a PS4 and chromecast and I've never noticed a delay or anything, gaming and streaming looks great.

As for warranties I'd take a look at amazon and squaretrade specifically, my buddy used to work for them and they have great customer service. Of course should do your own research, but in the warranty business they're pretty reputable, and buying from amazon is no different from buying directly from them, it just gives you a code to redeem on their site. I snagged a 3 year warranty for like $15.

Overall for the price I don't regret buying one at all, now I've never had a nice 1080p $1000 samsung plasma tv but these TV's seem to get the job done just fine. However I think with black friday/cyber monday coming up this price will go down and you will probably even be able to snag a better brand for this price with a nicer display and better built in speakers, $250 before warranty is still a little high for a sceptre. Here are some other similar TV's on slickdeals right now you might be interested in too hisense 40" smart tv & samsung 39" & 39" sharp tv , if you can wait a week or so i suggest doing it

First of all congrats, I have both consoles and let me say I still use my Xbox One more than my PS4.

Since you are basically swapping consoles, assuming its a friend, I would highly recommend getting an XBL account of your own, and doing a factory reset on the console as soon as you get it (unless you want his digital games of course, then let him make the console the primary console and all his digital games will be for you to play).

You can do the factory reset by Start -> Settinggs -> System -> Restore Factory Defaults. I would also recommend either getting a pack of AA's or rechargeable battery pack of 4 (you can thank me later).

No, the chat adapter doesn't work for the X1, you will have to swap it out. Other than known XBL issues (which occur less frequently than PSN mind you), there aren't any major hardware defects. If you still want to be on safe side, I highly recommend getting this

Have fun with your console, feel free to PM me to ask any other questions.

I can't remember the exact process, unfortunately, but it did work, back in 2015 anyway. I did it once on a grey market camera I purchased through ebay. Since grey market doesn't come with warranty cards I went ahead and picked the squaretrade warranty through Amazon.

When you buy a squaretrade warranty through Amazon, squaretrade sends you the contract, per the product page:

> Please Note: Your Service Contract will be delivered via email and not mailed to you. It will come from SquareTrade Warranty Services (warrantysupport@squaretrade.com) within 24 hours of purchase. If you don’t receive it, please visit www.squaretrade.com/help.

I do recall just signing into my existing squaretrade account but what happens after is hazy at best. But I submitted my ebay receipt as normal to squaretrade receipts, and it was accepted.

Additionally (but I can't guarantee it), I happened to drop my camera and got it repaired via the squaretrade warranty, so I know it works.

All that being said, I don't know if it's the same for monitors, or refurbs for that matter. Still, as of now it's only $13.81, so to me it's worth a shot.

I would recomend you to get the Logitech g600 or the new Razer naga and add the warranty from square trade which is very cheap. ($5 USD ) It will cover you 3 years (after the 1 year from your brand´s warranty)

https://www.amazon.com/SquareTrade-Portable-Electronics-Protection-50-74-99/dp/B008I65986/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1537209884&sr=8-1-spell&keywords=squaretrade+warranty+gadget#customerReviews

Had the razer naga (2014) replaced 1 time using this method) yeah it really sucks but I really love the design of the mouse that I keep the hassle arround lol.

Edit: Sorry for taking another direction, just trying to help.

We have a couple of owners on our discord server and a representative as well, they have a good reputation and I haven't seen any bad reviews about them, however if this a big purchase for you I would recommend the following

Get this base configuration from Amazon it's only around 80$ more than their website but you will get the operating system and Amazon warranty then you could get this accidental damage plan now add another SSD and RAM on your own and you got a good deal with nice backup plan .

u/gaz2600 · 3 pointsr/razer

I just ordered that same layout. I read all the non-reddit reviews and the reported issues on reddit and amazon. I looked at the Alienware 17 and the msi gs65. From what I can tell the Razer is the best balanced work/gaming laptop, it is built well and looks nice. Since there are so many reported support issues and no extended warranty I am also going to purchase a Smart Guard protection plan from Amazon.

Better yet, get the ASUS X551MAV over the Toshiba. Better brand than Toshiba, cheaper, and otherwise virtually identical in specs.

However, laptops in this price range are not built with a ton of quality in mind. ASUS is a great company, and the one I trust over all others, but no one can promise 3 years in this price bracket. It may live 5, it may live 2. But you get a year warranty regardless. Spend some money on a Squaretrade 2-year Warranty if you want a real minimum 2-year promise.

Haha I am too. It's a great device!

For what it's worth, Amazon sells Assurant's insurance which comes out to ~$80 for the Pixelbook, for 3 years of coverage. Just throwing that out there!

Amazon: QN82Q6FNAFXZA

Costco: QN82Q65FNBXZA

Amazon one says Q6F, Costco one is Q65F. Not sure what the difference is. Aside from any spec differences (if any exist) you'd just be considering the value of buying it from Costco - 90 day return, second year warranty, Concierge support. Costco one also comes with SquareTrade for free, which would be $192 on Amazon. Up to you I guess if that adds up to $500.

Also I'm seeing that Amazon only has one available at that price from that specific seller. As soon as that one unit is gone it goes right back up to match the Costco price.

That's a stretch paying that much for a used camera. With warranty or not.

$1650 brand new

With 3 year plan= $1725

Battery grip $160

total is $1885.00

50 af brand new $230.

Now total is $2115. That means you are selling used equpiment with a partially used warranty for $15 less than buying everything brand new.

Not being a dick, but that is a rip off bud. I just looked on amazon for pretty much everything and didn't even bother looking for the cheapest prices. I bet I could get all of that new for 1900. Might want to check your prices

u/Manic006 · 1 pointr/xboxone

I have gone through 7 Xbox One controllers. The best advice I have is buy a square trade warranty. There is a $12 Square Trade Warranty for 2 years on Amazon. When you have an issue it is easy to get a check from these guys.

u/Kevthetonk · 0 pointsr/Costco

If your interested in purchasing one of the smaller cheaper tv’s it’s worth noting that the 4 year square trade plan from amazon is a better value than the Costco 35 dollar 3 year plan.

Unfortunately ^

The companies that offer these protection plans on Amazon usually send an email within a few days of your order with info about how to get warranty support.

If you don't have the email from SmartGuard, you should be able to search your Amazon orders for the protection plan. From there you can click on the 'item' for more info. This similar (or same?) plan has a link with instructions on filing a claim (PDF). Looks like it doesn't kick in until the manufacturer's warranty expires.

u/keshav92 · 2 pointsr/4kTV

Yep. Although I am generally on rtings' side - which is warranties are more profitable statistically to the company than to the customer, I am going for one just for peace of mind.

I see SquareTrade on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/SquareTrade-4-Year-Protection-Plan-500-599-99/dp/B003BLXJR6/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8) - the four year warranty for just 54$ - I would probably just go with this but there's some confusion reg. whether this applies only to TVs purchased from Amazon or not (As the product description seems it's only for Amazon) though some reviews claim they have used this plan for items bought ouside Amazon - but I am not too sure. Any idea?

u/asquall · 1 pointr/datarecovery

Thanks, good call on this. I've had to deal with this before so I wanted to know specifically about this one. Apparently all signs point south for it. I looked on amazon again and found a lot of negative reviews on the program. Back to buying two of the same drive I guess. Here's the link if anyone's interested in checking it out.

u/teckademics · 1 pointr/djiphantom

Only alternative I can find is SquareTrade http://www.amazon.com/SquareTrade-Electronics-Accident-Protection-1250-1500/dp/B002HZY552

If you were to buy from amazon, I think this is an option. However you still have a set amount of money (the cost of the drone). But it's a $100 cheaper and covers for 3 years instead of 1.

Edit: Looks like you could buy this insurance on the Phantom 3 but you have to buy it from a specific retailer. Like B&H
