Here is what I wrote out for this other guy,
Check our /r/diy_ejuice[1] great community lots of info and recipes!
Order the nicotine and your STARTER flavorings from https://wizardlabs.us[2]
Order either 60 or 100mg pg based(if you aren't allergic) nicotine for math reasons, they both calculate pretty even. Also the 100mg one will last a lot longer but it kind of depends on what is in stock.
For the flavors it's best to order your beginning ones there too until you know what you like, because they sell like same size ones for $1.99 (prob about enough for 80-140 milliliters depending on your preferred flavor %
once I knew what I wanted I started ordering from high desert vapes
https://highdesertvapes.com/categories/DIY/[3]
(they resell flavorings so you get a GOOD discount)
P. S. On HDV ellas=capellas (you have to order ellas sweet strawberry, my most ordered and one of my faves. I also recommend fruit stripe gum, but I forgot who made it it's a newer one I just picked up!)
Don't forget to order syringes and I accidentally ordered a shit ton of size 14 needles for them and it's really hard to pull up VG since it's so thick so get a bigger one for that. Also make sure before you use them that you put tape over the numbers because they will come off really fast if you don't.
I actually buy all of my PG and VG locally Walmart sells VG (if you are interested let me know and I'll send you a pic of what the bottle looks like) but it's in the skin ointment aisle.
Tractor supply company sells a gallon of PG for $23 best deal ever. I'm never running out! Lol
You'll need bottles as well (way more expensive than you'd think, there are some cheapish options on Amazon for like 50 10ml bottles.

if you want reusable bottles hit up

that is what I use now
Download the program ejuicemeup that's your calculator. Love it.

Uhm.... I'm probably forgetting something any questions, just ask.
Edit: holy novel
Edit 2: I remembered something else, try and get familiar with the list of flavors known to crack tanks
http://discountvapers.com/liquids-and-tanks/[6]
Edit 3:links!
REAL EDIT: formatting, I usually use capellas but there are certain flavors that certain people do better. I'd say Capellas = fruit FW = dessert TFA = candy like Lorannes = Fruit candy like
and steeping I am really lazy and don't wait to vape and it still tastes pretty good. I'll make about 15 ml and it will just get better and better as it goes :D
I actually can't compare since I was an early adapter to DIY and I didn't ever ger into ordering juices online. I can tell you everyone I've let try it so far has LOVED it. you may want to tweak it a little for your own preferences like if you want it a little more cinnamon-y or a little sweeter but each person likes things a little different
The machine does all the work, so go for the best equipment. Here is KUmed: http://www.kumc.edu/school-of-medicine/ophthalmology/patient-care/refractive-surgery.html
They do the sbk lasik that durrie vision uses and appears to actually use the same exact equipment in the in the same lab, but by allowing a resident to do it under supervision of a physician you can have it done for $3,400 instead of $5,500. (these were prices 3 years ago, so they may have come down)
I didn't know about it until after I already got lasik, so I wasn't able to use them. SBK supposedly cuts a thinner flap. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intralase_SBK
I ended up using http://www.grineyecare.com/?page=lasik. They do the actually procedure in a shared office used by other eye doctors off of 75th street in prairie village. And some eye doctors will use grin for the procedure itself, but have you come back to them for follow up checkups.
After 3 years, I have a very slight prescription, but not enough to make me want to do the procedure again and assume the same risks all over again. Another person I know has a perfect 20/25 using the same clinic.
I had a really dominant right eye which made the adjustment harder. It actually took the full 18 months for my vision to fully settle down and during the first 6 months reading anything close was harder due to the new imbalance(or balance) between my eyes. I used a lower resolution on my computer and a lot of zooming. I also couldn't even read the license plate of the car in front of me, but could read road signs that were further away. It was weird.
Overall, it was definitely worth it.
I do feel night vision is slightly worse but largely due to the slight prescription. There are no halos or starbursts, those went away within the first year. I don't think halos are as big of a concern with the bladeless lasik because they cut a larger flap so your dilated pupil doesn't cross the seem of the flap. In my last eye exam they diluted my pupils and that didn't even cause halos.
After about a year, eye dryness was back to normal. Also pick up a pair of motorcycle glasses like these: http://www.amazon.com/Motorcycle-Riding-Glasses-Smoke-Clear/dp/B000GD5FMY/ Not ones that form a hard seal around your eye like goggles.
For the first few days, having those clear motorcycle glasses on while working saved me a ton of money in eye drops as well as when you had to walk around or leave your house to get into your car. I also got sun glass versions for driving. Even with them, I you still will end up spending 100 bucks or even more on eye drops after the procedure. You have to use the one time use preservative free eye drop vials which are also the most expensive and the thicker ones which are even more expensive work best: http://www.amazon.com/Refresh-Celluvisc-Lubricant-Containers-Quantity/dp/B0064FKL4U/
I used drops like crazy because I didn't want to risk my eyes drying out. I also slept with the motor cycle glasses on for the first few weeks, it seemed to help a lot to reduce dry eye while sleeping. Put in eye drops, put on glasses, let them fog up due to the amount of moisture and sleep.
Even at home, you can put drops in, the glasses may fog up, just vent them a few times until you get the perfect balance of moisture locked in without fogging and you can wear them even at home watching tv to keep your eyes from drying out. You'll know when you don't need them anymore because your eye's won't get really dry without them.
Also, maybe you won't have as bad of dry eye right after the procedure, but I felt I had dryer eyes before getting it, so I used the glasses more as a precaution.
These eye drops called Lumify really are one of the best creations I have seen in years.
They are pricey, but just an amazing product.
Your eyes are so clear in 2 minutes. Your whites are so bright it’s unreal. I recommend investing in these. I don’t drink anymore but I wish I had them when I was a boozer. Even if your eyes don’t look red or drunkie, they will just make you look “better”!!! Now go shop girllllll!!!! 😊😊

Just posting an anecdote for anyone else who stumbles on this thread:
I've had a bad dry eye situation developing in my left eye for a few months. It's most likely due to a chalazion or blocked duct that's caused some inflammation. The eyelid doesn't close properly so the eye dries out while I'm sleeping. The lump in the eyelid also puts some pressure on the eye. For a while, when I'd wake up it would feel like someone was ripping a piece of duct tape off my dry eyeball. It would burn and sting for an hour or so before I could properly function. I got it sort of under control by doing regular warm compresses and sleeping with a headband over my eyes in such a way that it put just enough pressure on the lid to help keep it closed tightly. I've also been using Systane gel or ointment overnight. I've gone back and forth between the headband and this hydrating sleep mask. With all that I was still having flare-ups a couple of times a week when I'd wake up. I found that a cold compress (damp washcloth with water as cold as possible) helps with the pain. My eye seems to put off a LOT of heat when it's irritated. Oh, I also take 1000mg of fish oil in the morning and another 1000mg right before bed.
Last week I had a really bad flare-up in the middle of the afternoon not anywhere close to when I'd been sleeping. The compress only helped a little bit. It was burning like fire and it felt like there was a gigantic splinter or something in my eye. It finally calmed down after an hour or so but it was low-level burning the rest of the day. The next day it started up again in the morning and took hours to get under control and continued to burn for most of the day. That's when I found this post.
I started the regimen described in the link on Friday morning and have been doing really well so far. I saw my cornea doctor this morning (I'd last seen him about three months ago when all of this started) and he said that most of the erosion is healed and that he's never seen such a drastic improvement before. My eye feels mostly better - I've been sleeping with the hydration mask on for the last few nights and I haven't had any flare-ups since I started TheraTears. I do feel like there's a slight burning from time to time, and every once in a while when I'm doing a compress I do feel the "foreign body sensation" a bit, but not as severely as I had before. My eyes still feel pretty dry when I wake up but as soon as I start the TheraTears regimen they feel more comfortable. I'm still doing compresses as close to 3x per day as I can, and still scrubbing my eyelids with baby shampoo every day as this hopefully will help prevent more duct clogging.
I'm cautiously optimistic. It does seem, right now, that TheraTears is as effective as OP says. I will also say that this is the most frequent eyedrop regimen I've ever embarked on/stuck with, so it could also just be that more regular lubrication is working wonders, regardless of the brand. I don't know, but I'm sticking with the TheraTears for now.
Here are a couple of other products I've been using:
Eye compress/mask. This is nice because you just put it on your head and don't have to sit there and hold it. Stays hot for about 8-10 minutes and pretty warm for another 10 or so after that. I heat this up for 23 seconds and listen to a podcast or something while it does its thing. Goal is 3x a day but I often can only manage 1 or 2.
USB heated eye mask. As many people have pointed out, this doesn't put out enough heat to be a substitute for other compresses, but I figure some heat is better than no heat, right? Sometimes I put this on at bedtime, set for 30 minutes. At some point later if I wake up after it shuts off, I switch to the hydration mask.
Systane overnight ointment. I put a blob of this in after the last TheraTears round for the day, right before sleep.
Genteel Severe Gel. I hit it with this any time it's feeling a little dry and/or fatigued, and I'm in between TheraTears rounds. I use this one if I can afford to have a blurry eye for a few minutes, but if I'm really busy I just go with regular Systane Complete drops.
If anyone is experiencing anything similar to what I've described, try this stuff. And with all of the treatments I've talked about (drops, compresses, lid scrubs), BE CONSISTENT. I know they are a pain in the ass and take up a lot of time but when I look at all the times things have gotten out of control with my eyes (I've had issues with chalazions for almost 20 years now) it's usually when I'm not being good about routines and hygiene.
I don't have a local physician recommendation, but I can tell you that using the best eye drops post-surgery is critical.
I used these as often as my eyes needed them (as often as every 15 minutes for the couple of days post-surgery). They're very expensive, much more expensive than the big bottles, but you're spending $4k on the surgery don't cheap out on the drops. :)
Best of luck - 5 years later it's the best money I've ever spent and I still have 20/15 vision.
It's important to remember that you have two different issues going on - glaucoma and dry eyes. Your eyes don't hurt because of your glaucoma and the glaucoma drops are not intended to stop them from hurting.
There is more you can do to start treating your dry eyes.
I know this seems like a lot, but once they stop hurting you can cut back. There is no quick fix for dry eyes. It's super annoying but sticking with these recommendations is the only way you'll get better.
With regards to your glaucoma drops -- I know it seems like a lot but it is NECESSARY if you want to be able to see when you are 100. Poor drop compliance is the #1 cause of glaucoma vision loss. Stick with it or you will regret it.
Best of luck to you, friend!
Have you considered any dietary changes to see if that may help? I say this with full understanding of how hard it can be, I have been cutting things out/experimenting with what works best for my various autoimmune conditions for the last 5 years.
I have been on an elimination diet called the Autoimmune Protocol for over a year now. I think cutting out all grains and soy is the best thing I’ve ever done for my health.
I also take a medication called cevemeline to increase tear and saliva production and it helps tremendously! I added a sea buckthorn oil supplement and it does seem to help, along with lots of preservative-free eye drops. My doctor recommends those because they have the added flax seed oil to help lubricate the eyes naturally.
I hope you find something that works for you, this disease is the worst! Sending big hugs <3
Yes, i see this VERY frequently amongst animals (i care for animals for a living), and yes its uncomfortable (often actually quite painful) for them. Animals naturally hide their discomfort, so dont assume that their lack of obvious discomfort means they are actually not bothered by it.
I HIGHLY recommend that every pet owner keeps a bottle of saline eye rinse (available in any pharmacy store like cvs/walgreens/rite aid/etc) in their home.
When animals get hair/dust/etc in their eyes, rinse it out for them. They can't do it themselves and its much harder for them to try to dislodge debris in their eyes bc rubbing it with their paws often makes it worse. I also keep a bottle of lubricating eye drops in the house just for my pets as well bc when they've had something in their eye, it often has been there long enough to irritate it.
Product recommendations for any pet owner (cats, dogs, small and large animals included):
Saline eye rinse (to rinse debris/allergens/etc from the eye)
Antimicrobial opthalmic gel (to help facilitate healing and treat/prevent infection from any mild but uncomfortable corneal scratches, also really good for animals whose eyes are irritated due to allergies).
Lubricating eye drops (when an animal has had something in their eye for a while, the eye is often quite sensitive for a while after, a lubricating eye gel helps soothe and protect the eye, it helps them to put in drops 2x daily for 1-3 days after youve flushed something from their eye, or if they have allergies, this is something that is very soothing for them on a daily basis during times of allergy flare ups).
Edit: do NOT use just any random bottle of eyedrops. There are a variety of different types of eyedrops in drug stores and many of them are NOT suitable for use in animals eyes. Use ONLY lubricating eye drops (artificial tears), DO NOT use anything that has ingredients targeted towards other eye issues (redness, allergies, itching, contact lens care, cooling drops, etc). You only want to look for drops that say lubricating eye drops. I keep a bottle of Genteal lubricating eye drops (moderate to severe dry eye formula) in my house for animal use.
Thank you ♥️ my doses were as follows:
Month 1:
20mg
Month 2 & 3:

Luckily I never really popped my pimples so I never got deep scars; only hyperpigmentation. I avoid the sun like the plague so that's going away on its own.

Dr Dan's & aquaphor on my lips again
Also when I shower I have to use this or my skin will become lobster red and my arms will break out in an eczema like rash:
Aveeno Skin Relief Fragrance-Free Body Wash with Oat to Soothe Dry Itchy Skin, Gentle, Soap-Free & Dye-Free for Sensitive Skin, 33 fl. oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075X2KL5C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_K46pDbAE4YF1S
I also use these eyedrops throughout the day because my eyes get super red & dry:
Rohto Cool Max Maximum Redness Relief Cooling Eye Drops, 0.4 Ounce, 3 Count https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072V5LV6V/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_M56pDb5SM7GQH
I should be taking fish oil for joint pain but I'm not lol
So I've tried a million of them and these are the ones I've been buying consistently for over a year. They are safe to use while I have my contacts in too. And you just need one drop at a time. They are one of the only ones that don't cloud or blurry my lenses. If you have Amazon prime, do the subscribe and save and you can get a pretty substantial discount. I can't live without these things!!!
Rohto Dry-Aid Eye Relief Lubricant Eye Drops, Twin Pack (0.34 Ounce Each) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0727QJM8P/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_IcvNDbRG9VQ93
Edit: regarding the screen time...I work 10 hour days in front of the computer and it is torture on my eyes... Then I go sit in front of the TV after work for a few hours. Also killing my eyes. I HIGHLY recommend getting a pair of blue light filtering glasses. You will be AMAZED at the difference it makes when staring at screens all day. Like life changing.
Systane dry eye relief. It's like 15 bucks a bottle but I always have rly dry eyes from allergies and these are like the only drops that actually work for me. IDGAF about if my eyes are red or not but I can't stand the itchy eyes.
There's also this shit you can buy that's like [mouthwash for your eyes] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J5KD1QQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_QYYvCbFQYJGE6). Works really well and makes your balls feel like new!
I use the systane drops. I already used them before i started smoking for medical reasons since i have really dry eyes, but it helps with smoking dry eyes as well. These are great since they don't have preservatives, and i ususally use about a vial a day.

Systane EyeCleansing wipes.
Technically they're for eye makeup but I find they do a good job with my whole face and are quite big.
It's a contact solution company so they're big on sterile solutions and gentle on eyes.
Was looking through my old comments and thought I would be right on time with this comment. :)
Refresh Optive
It is stupidly expensive, but also the best eyedrops I've ever used. Avid gamer, all-day computer user (work), and having had Lasik...my eyes get dry and I've tried a lot of brands. I have not tried the generic of this (CVS)...may work just as well.
The brand I like the best is
SYSTANE ULTRA Lubricant Eye Drops, 60 Vials, 0.7-mL Each https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014PEZR1S?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
I like blink too but I think the above brand does a better job.
I use these ones, and I think they're great.
Avoid ones that are for redness relief, as those can actually end up drying your eyes out more. Make sure you go for the lubricating eye drops.
I second this info. I worked for optometrists for several years and that is also what they all said. It is always good to get an eye exam, but here are some tricks you can try before spending too much money: 1. Take a short break for 4-5 minutes every hour to look away from your screen and bink/close your eyes. 2. Get some eye drops like Optive, Blink, or Systain Ultra (my favorite) and use them during those breaks (at least 3 times a day, more if needed). If you live in the US you can get these at a local drug store, and probably get a smaller/cheaper size to start out to see if it helps.
Have you tried Retaine Eye drops? My dry eyes stem from my eyelid oil glands not producing enough oil. Retaine essentially supplies my eyes with that oil and dry eyes during the day has gotten dramatically better. They're a little expensive, but worth it for day time relief.

These are random to pretty much everyone... but me... I use them a lot. I make aromatherapy stuff.
pretty California
I got the drops and eye wipes from Amazon.
Refresh Optive Mega-3 Lubricant Eye Drops, 30 Single-Use Containers, 0.01 Fl Oz, 30 Count https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074ZHK96H/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_.UaDDbJW98AK3
OCuSOFT Lid Scrub Original, Pre-Moistened Pads, 30 Count https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000PY15I2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_UVaDDbJ0R29AV
What I like about the drops is they do not make your vision blurry like the gel or moisturizing drops. I’ve tried many brands of drops by the way.
Phrasing!
Edit: Okay, I think I was just happy to see my first Archer reference of the day. I'll try again.
Do they make Quietus for elk?
Rohto Cool Max Maximum Redness Relief Cooling Eye Drops, 0.4 Ounce, 3 Count https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072V5LV6V/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_mIX4BbATDQ3YR
Here ya go boys.
I wish I had a good answer. I struggle with a version of this myself. I am fine all day but use eye drops at night and any time I wake up in the middle of the night.
My doctor says mine is dry eyes from digital eye strain. He says he can see the dry cracks on my eyes.
Sigh.
Do you think it’s the lack of sleep or are those other hours spent staring at a lot of blue light?
Here’s what I’m doing:
Phone on warm all the time. F.lux in my computer.
Bulletproof Eye Armour.
Microwavable Eye Mask for Moist Heat
Eye Drops with oil in them
Eye Ointment
I use this at night.
And Gunnar blue blocking lenses.
Sigh. It all helps a little and nothing has made it all go away.
My eye doctor recommends the miBo eye treatment and I’m seriously contemplating it. I live in a small town and it’s a hour each way so I haven’t quite gotten around to it buts it’s been bad enough lately I’m about to get my buns in gear. Each treatment is $150 or 200 but he does a package that is normally $600 for $450 for upfront payment. I can’t recall if it’s 3 or 4 treatments. Not covered by insurance.
Hope some of this helps. Good luck.
The only thing I haven't seen around here is to bring individual use eye drops. My GF got lasik a couple years ago so she needs these things, especially w all the dust.
Thought only she'd use em, but our whole group was pretty amped to lube up the eyeballs, so we kept the box in the locker for all to use.

Have you ever tried gel eye drops? I used them at night because I sleep with my eyes cracked open. It was causing serious dryness. Works pretty well.
I don't have this, but I've been hearing a lot of Quietus commercials and was going to recommend you look into it until I read the reviews. Apparently someone is just selling expensive swamp gas!
Edit: spelling
Are you talking about these ones? Systane Ultra Lubricant Eye Drops, 60 Count,Pack of 1 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014PEZR1S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_eBTTDbS25DVPQ
They do seem like they could be more long lasting, can the vials be reused?
Well you should really go seen an ophthalmologist for a check up at least once to make sure it's nothing serious. If it's just plain dry eye you still need to find the cause. Gunk in your eyes in the morning (stringy yellow, crusted over) could be bleph, conjunctivitis, allergies... different causes have different treatments.

If your eyes burn or sting frequently it's helpful to do warm compresses twice a day. Terry cloth in water as warm as you can tolerate over closed eyes for 5-10 mins. If it's bleph you need to do frequent lid hygiene with lid wipes and if it's dry eye syndrome you need to determine what kind it is because not all eyedrops are equal, some address insufficient lipids in your tear film and some are merely hyperosmolar; if it's autoimmune you'll need to consider restasis or another cyclosporine eyedrop. So my advice would be to see an ophth once for a screening (for peace of mind) and see what he/she says. Then if it's nothing serious you can just carry on treatments by yourself.

Oh, and they have moisture chamber goggles for people who can't fully close their lids but that looks so uncomfortable. A regular eyemask can help most people (I've tried but they end up on my floor cuz I toss and turn in bed), but most are designed so poorly they hurt my ears. These kao masks are so dang comfortable you could potentially just reuse/recycle them for night use and chuck them if they get old or dirty. Eye ointments are also recommended to prevent them drying out as you sleep.
I bring contacts and these single use eye drops. They have never been taken from me. I bring contacts because in ‘14 El Chapo and the Bass Pod fire got me all at once and lost my contacts. Couldn’t see from around 12 to I got back to the room at 9am hahaha won’t happen again lol
Refresh Optive Lubricant Eye Drops, 30 Single-Use Containers https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001J4BGMM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_-us9AbWRAJMY5
Are you guys both talking about this Ocusoft Retaine MGD Ophthalmic Emulsion, Milky White Solution, 30 count Single Use Containers, 0.01 Fluid Ounce https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J56MMPQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_yhGsDbBH5PA1M
I use these glasses from Amazon for when I'm on the computer.
I also use these lubricating eyedrops (I have dry eyes from Lasik). A bottle can last me anywhere between 4-6 months.
The glasses, eyedrops, and flux (as others have mentioned) together make a world of a difference. I wouldn't be able to go on the computer for so long without them. I really recommend to give the three a try!
seconding everything this guy says, though i use optive preservative free instead of the modudose. and i never leave home without the contact lens inserters, makes it so much easier and hygenic to refresh your lenses with new fluid.
