Personally, I love the cosrx BHA Blackhead power. I don't find it nearly as drying as other BHAs. Additionally, you can use the BHA at the same time as your AHA and give them both time to be active.

The Vitamin C will be good for your skin, but it will not have the same impact as the Genifique. First, the Genifique has Dimethicone and Castor Oil in it. These are both occlusive moisturizers which will create a protective, moisture barrier on your skin. Second, the Genifique contains two different types of fermentated products - Bifida Ferment Lysate and Faex Extract/Yeast Extract/Extrait De Levure. You can buy fermented products from Amazon for fairly cheap. I personally like Secret Key. cosrx also has one. There are more expensive versions, but there isn't any need to pay Genifique prices.

For the occlusive moisturizers, you can use plain squalane oil - I also buy this on Amazon. There are also squalane face masks if you don't want to use an oil everyday.

As for the vitamin C product you chose, while the version of Vitamin C is stable, it also needs time to be active on your skin to achieve its full benefits. After washing your face, apply the Vitamin C and wait 10 minutes. There are different types of Vitamin C. Some require more time than others and some are more potent than others. This particular vitamin C also has bunch of other contents, like Dandelion Root and Geranium. I find that a lot of Vitamin C products pack a bunch of ingredients that can potentially irritate your skin. If you find irritation, this might be the cause. They make Vit C serums that are way paired down on ingredients (and have more proven ingredient additions like Vit E, Hyaluronic Acid, Niacinamide, and Retinol.

The Volition seems like an alright eye treatment, but I would expect the snail secretion filtrate to be higher in the list of ingredients. Here is an eye cream where skin filtrate is the first ingredient. It also contains Niacinamide, which can be beneifical. I would say that your eye cream is fine if you like it, but there are potentially better options.

I would take a look at the first ingredients of your Volition Cream. Chances are, like most of these other products, there are cheaper options that are just as effective if you don't want to pay the hefty price tag. I would search r/asianbeauty for the main ingredients.

With dehydrated skin, I would do either a face oil or a night pack on top of your moisturizer. Again, I recommend r/asianbeauty and Amazon.

P.S. If you feel like the Micellar water helps get that extra oil and dirt, maybe look into double cleansing. It can definitely help with flakiness.

I have been wet shaving with a DE since OCT 2013. It was the best decision I have made when it comes to shaving. I will answer your questions from the things that have worked for me. Just know that everything is different for everyone. Once you find something that works stick with it for a while and change little at a time.

1a: Brush/Stand. I purchased this set just to get my feet wet with DE shaving. I liked it, but it was cheap and lacked the adjustability that I wanted. I did keep the brush and stand. I always get a great lather with the brush and it is really soft. It is just as good as when I bought it. I shave everyday that I work.

1b: Handle. I started with the cheap handle that I listed above...it was not adjustable. I wanted an adjustable and bought a Merkur Futur. I love it.

1c: Blades. This is hard to recommend to someone. Get yourself one of many sample packs. Everyone likes different blades. Just try them all out. They are cheap. I chose based on the one that I cut my self with the least while giving be the best shave. Your probably going to cut yourself. It will go away with experience. I settled on the Astra Platinum blades. They are cheap on amazon with prime shipping.

1d: Soap. I am a huge fan of Proraso Shaving Cream. I have tried them all! But they are all I have tried. A tube last me a long time. My routine is to fill up an over sized coffee cup with hot water twice from my Keurig (No hot hot water in the morning due to my apartment) and poor it into the sink. Dunk my brush in the water and shake it off lightly. Put a dime sized blob of cream on the brush and make a lather in the over sized coffee cup.

1e: Pre/After Shave. I do not use any pre shave products. I just use the lather that i make and message it onto my face. Its really hot and frothy. I have tried all of Proraso's after shave products. The only one that I liked was the blue after shave balm. It didn't dry out my face like the others. Since then I have settled on Gillette Series Sensitive Skin After Shave Gel because it leaves my face feeling great, its cheap, and the better half loves the way it smells.

2: In my experience the razor (handle) makes a huge difference. I got to the point where I was not cutting myself at all with my first handle. Then I switched. I can shave quickly and comfortably because I found the setting that I really like (number 3 on the Futur). I also really like the way the blade is put into the handle. The top of the Futur pops off rather than having to unscrew the handle to change blades.

3: I answered this in section 1c.

4: I don't have too much info on this topic. I do know not to store your brush with the bristles in the air when it is wet (a stand will prevent this). Dry your razor off the best you can after use. Rinse a brush out thoroughly after use. I use a new blade each shave.

5: When I first started with a DE I watched a couple of Michael Freedberg's to get me started. Then I just did what was best for me.

The best thing that I can recommend for you is this. Figure out why you want to change to DE shaving. We already know its a better shave than using a cartridge. For me it was to be able to use a new razor blade for every shave and not spending a lot of money for those blades. I try to do this as cheaply as possibly. I had a big initial investment on the handle but it has since paid for itself by not buying cartridges. I found what works for me early on and stuck with it. I can have the same consistent shave everyday in 10 minutes because I have had the same routine for a while now.

Okay. There's a few ways to approach this, but I've got a few questions for you.

Is it just darkness, or darkness and puffiness, or darkness and hollowness? If it's just darkness, that's something that can be covered with makeup without looking too makeup-y. Puffiness can sometimes be addressed with a dermatologist's help with botox and other injectables; similarly, hollows can be treated with fillers.

Have you seen a dermatologist about these specifically? I'm totally against unsupervised use of skin lightening creams, particularly in such a sensitive area, but under a dermatologist's supervision, these may be some help.

It's worth noting that the under-eye skin is the thinnest skin on your body (thinner even than your eyelids), so one needs to be very, very delicate with it.

For a makeup solution, I recommend Maybelline's Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles. You can get it at pretty much any drug or grocery store, and the puffball applicator makes it really easy to apply naturally, even for those with no makeup experience. It also contains caffeine, which will help tighten up the skin.

Creams that will help with dark circles over long term treatment include those with Vitamin K, which helps boost blood flow in the area. I like Korres Evening Primrose Eye Cream. Caffiene creams also help. For that I like 100% Pure Organic Coffee Bean Eye Cream. You definitely don't want to use cheap creams around your eyes. For one, if it gets in your eyes, it'll hurt like the dickens, and also because that skin is so sensitive, they can make problems worse.

You mentioned you have allergies - are you on any allergy medication? The other issue is that people with allergies tend to rub their eyes a lot. I did and didn't realize what an impact it was having on my dark circles. The way I stopped was by first making a mark in a notebook every time I touched my eyes. That made me cognizant of how much I was doing it, which made it easier to stop.

So, to sum up.

1. See a dermatologist or a certified esthetician that you trust. Especially since you've got your wedding coming up (congratulations!) there may be a clinical intervention that will work quickly for you.
   
   
2. Consider long term treatment with a Vitamin K cream, caffeine cream, or both. Also, find a night cream you like, and use it every night. I like Aveeno Smart Essentials Nighttime Moisture Infusion, but what works for you will depend on your skin type.
   
   
3. Be cognizant of how you treat that skin. Touch it as little as possible, and if you have to, be very gentle. Anytime I'm putting on makeup there, or itching a spot, instead of rubbing, I tap with my ring finger. It's the weakest finger, and therefore has the most delicate touch. Be very, very gentle with your eye skin when you wash your face in the morning.
   
   
4. When you wash your face, splash cold water on it once you're done. That will help close your pores and tighten your facial skin over all. Consider using a toner. I like Boots Botanics Organic Rosewater Toner.
   
   
5. Find a moisturizer with broad-spectrum SPF that works for you and apply it every morning. That thin skin is especially prone to darkening in the sun (a little melanin goes a long way in skin that's that thin) so it's very important to protect it from both UVA and UVB rays every day. Even when you're sitting inside and it's raining.

I have super dry skin that's also super sensitive. I have dry scalp and some scaly patches on my face that I've dealt with by being super gentle with my skin. First, I would recommend finding moisturizing products for sensitive skin. I highly suggest a hyaluronic acid based lotion, but you'll likely have to layer moisturizers to get what you want. It may also be helpful to use a hydrating cleanser or a good cleansing oil.

Basically, what i suggest is to try layering multiple simple products, based on what your skin needs.

What's worked for me when nothing else would:

Hada Labo Gokujyun Super Moist lotion Hyaluronic Acid Lotion. My skin requires this in the dry winter.

Ceracolla Super Moist Lotion This has ceramides that are super awesome for "unhealthy" skin.

Cremo Moisturizer This has Urea which is a mild exfoliant in small amounts... I love this stuff.

Burts Bees Sensitive Night Cream Generic night cream with ingredients that don't burn my face. It's not super moisturizing on it's own, but is great when layered.

Ceracolla Perfect Gel If your skin isn't super dry, this could work for hyaluronic acid and ceramides.

Boots Expert Sensitive hydrating serum This is super moisturizing, but breaks out my chin. It's actually the most moisturizing feeling of the bunch, but doesn't have a lot of "benefits"

Aquaphor: A thin layer overnight can make your skin feel great in the morning, and especially if you're not wearing makeup, it won't need to be washed off.

Bare minerals has a purely nourishing moisturizer which has great ingredients, except for lavender essential oil, which my skin does not like. It's in my skincare drawer for when my skin is healthy, but I'm nervous about considering using it.

Also: Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue tinted gel cream has been wonderful for my super dry skin. I apply it in the morning and do not apply powder (which never worked for me before) and it gives just enough coverage and leaves my skin looking nice. Also, I do find it quite moisturizing for a tinted moisturizer/foundation. The only issue is that it doesn't last on my chin so much, but I'm putting some in a bb cushion test out!

I tend to use coconut oil! But remember to always spot test, as what works for some causes breakouts for others. The damage is more of a long term thing -- so chances are you won't see any damage right away, but might pop up if you continue using it once your skin matures.

If your skin feels too tight after washing with salicylic acid (as mine does!), try using a cream cleanser. The tight feeling you get after washing with salicylic acid is essentially your face being stripped of oil, which provides the skin with it's elasticity, and your body will naturally compensate by producing even more oil, sometimes leading to an even oilier complexion. So something less stripping/more gentle, is a solution for some. In the past I've found 2 drugstore brands that worked for me:

I would recommend checking out /r/skincareaddiction, and maybe potentially looking into OCM (oil cleansing method). While I haven't personally tried it, I hear good things, and the lovely ladies and gentlemen at that subreddit are filled with good info.

The creases around your eyes are more likely to get oily/sweaty. Eye primer is a little bit denser and stickier upon application, and is meant to holder down (loose/powdery) eyeshadows. I find that it also makes applying gel liner a little easier. A little tube of it was around $7, and so far it's lasted me 4, going on 5, months. Face primer is a little more diluted, and it great as a lighter coverage under foundation. Note: I don't use face primer very often so someone much more knowledgable might give a better answer!

I've never used a high end liner, but this stuff is great! Lasts all day and it come with a little brush! :) If you have trouble getting the desired line you want, remember that you can take a q-tip and erase out.

I believe this is a tinted moisturizer? I use this when I want a bit more even looking skin-color. It also contains a retinol treatment it says.

I LOVE AZELAIC ACID. So I pretty well thought I would live with a red face forever along with a severely damaged moisture barrier. The biggest thing that helped me was azelaic acid. I use Melazepam from Amazon. Cheap and works! It's thick at first but smoothes into my skin leaving it kinda matte. At first it itched like crazy and I wasn't using it consistently enough. Then after more research, I decided to use it up and give it a chance. Along with anything high in ceramide, my skin got used to the 20% AzA. Maybe around the 10th day of twice daily use, my skin finally started to look normal. I also switch my oil cleanser to an olive oil based one and saw even more improvement in my redness. I've just added in Vit C to my under eye area and continuing to use Melazepam around the rest of my face and neck and my ENTIRE COMPLEXION is EVEN NOW! Would never have believed that was possible. Melazepam has also minimized my SFs on my nose, has finally stopped this ingrown hair on my neck from forming (I've had it for years!!!), and has cleared all the CCs on my forehead. I repeat: I loooooove azelaic acid, specifically Melazepam!

In this case if you don't think it's milia, you should consult a dermatologist for a proper diagnosis - just in case!

To me though, it really does look like milia. Just speculating because I had the exact same thing in the exact same spot recently when I had neglected my skin for a few days. I had also tried a new eye cream (CeraVe eye cream) and I think that may have contributed to the area getting bumpy and clogged.

Now this isn't a for-sure, but it might help. I got a couple tubes of RoC brand retinol moisturizer to see if I could gently exfoliate the area. It definitely did help over a couple of weeks and the bumps are pretty much gone now. The only real side-effect for me was that my skin felt a tad bit sensitive a few days after I stopped using it.

Now I'm using Hada Labo brand moisturizers to keep the area moisturized.

Here's some links if you want to give any of them a shot, though I would suggest getting them from a local drugstore when they're on sale, especially someplace that has a good return policy in case they don't work for you. I got mine at CVS when they had a buy 1 get 1 for 50% sale.

You will definitely need a sunscreen if you decide to try these, or they also make a day cream with SPF:

The moisturizers I'm using that don't clog my incredibly clog-prone skin:

Hada Labo clear "toner" lotion

Hada Labo "milky" lotion

I really like these since they only require about 3 drops each and keep my skin nicely moisturized. I tried the thicker creams from the brand but found they were more suited to super-dry skin. Also they dry to almost-matte and have no added scent.

Again, worth a try, but definitely try to get an appointment with a derm if you can, just to be sure it isn't anything serious.

This is all just personal experience (aka - an anecdote, so take it with a grain of salt). I have oily skin and acne too. I use oil in double cleansing, and I use an oil-based vitamin C serum at night, but I find that using oil as a moisturizer in the morning makes my skin more oily during the day. What works best for me in the morning is a couple light layers of moisture. For example a serum and a hydrating gel, then my sunscreen.

I am in love with Biore Perfect Milk sunscreen (tip - if you use Amazon, go to "other sellers" under the "add to cart" button to find sellers that will get it to you more quickly). It lessens oiliness through the day, "blurs" pores & is a great base for makeup, and reduces some of the redness on my skin.

I might try the Clinique lotion you recommend. I've been using MIZON Snail Repair Eye Cream as a moisturizer, and I like it a lot, but it's a relatively small jar. Despite being an eye cream, it is quite light, and I like that it is unfragranced and has some pretty good ingredients (Meadowfoam Seed Oil, Niacinamide, squalane, peptides). By the way, someone else mentioned squalane, and it is fantastic for oily skin. You just need a couple drops, and you can mix it with lotion, gel, serum, etc, although I still wouldn't use it as a morning moisturizer.

Acne concealer usually has salicylic acid in it which is going to dry things out even more and show the creases in your makeup more than normal. As far as this stuff goes- I used to have the same issues and the solution is really that you need a good moisturizer that won't clog your pores, a primer, and a good creamy concealer with maybe some color correction. I have SUPER sensitive and acne prone skin and I use Burt's Bees Sensitive Skin face lotion, then use my primer after about 10 minutes of my lotion soaking in (a good primer I've heard about is Smashbox, but it is like $36, and I've heard the monistat chafing gel is a good dupe at $6), then I let the primer sit for a minute. Both of those things you can get at pretty much any drug store, walmart, target, etc. THEN you need to make sure you have a good quality makeup, and especially concealer, so it doesn't settle into the wrinkles so badly- the primer and face lotion will help with that as well. I am a fan of vincent longo's concealer, but I also like bobbi brown. If you have more purple tones in your undereye circles, the vincent longo might be better since it is more yellow based. If you have more blue tones under your eye, bobbi brown might be better since they have more options that are orange toned. These colors counteract each other so it cancels out the darkness under your eye. I'd also like to add that I have never had issues with my skin being irritated or getting acne from either of these concealers, and have bobbi brown foundation too which is the only one I've found that doesn't break me out. Their foundation is also pretty buildable, meaning it doesn't look like you have a ton on when you put it on- I even put it on with my fingers because I think it blends into my skin better- but you can build up your coverage if you don't feel like it's enough.

Products I love!

• Alterna Bamboo Brilliance Cream. I put about a 1/4-1/2 teaspoon of this in my hair before blowdrying it, and the results are stellar! Smooth, soft, shiny. I’ve been using this for years per the recommendation of the woman who cut my hair when I lived in a different state, and I continue to be so impressed with it. Also, I don’t know if it’s just my hair texture, but if I put this in my hair and then blowdry it straight, it straightens out very well. I don’t even own a flatiron because this stuff + a blowdryer gets the job done.
  
  
• Kenra Platinum Silkening Gloss. This is one of the most highly lauded products over on r/redpillwives, thanks to QB. I haven’t had men trailing me in stores because of the smell, but I’ve been really impressed with the product! If I use this to blowdry my hair straight, I can usually get two “down” days and an updo day out of it! Definitely recommend.
  
  
• Coochy from Pure Romance. I will never tidy up my lady zone with anything else. This stuff is so good, my friend’s gynecologist recommended it.
  
  
• Pretty much anything from CeraVe, but namely this moisturizer (also known as “CeraVe in the tub), this cleanser, and this sunscreen/moisturizer combo.
  
  
• Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant. My skin is smoother when I’m using this regularly. Plus this is such a good brand.
  
  
• Snow River Wood Oil. OKAY HEAR ME OUT. When I’m regularly oil cleansing with this stuff, my face is baby soft. It’s non-comedogenic, so it won’t break you out, and it’s a very neutral oil, so most skin types do well with it (but ALWAYS patch test). It’s also crazy cheap!

• Burts Bees Face Cleanser for Sensitive Skin. There was nothing wrong with this product, per se… it was just unremarkable. I didn’t really notice a difference.

First treatment essences with fermented ingredients really help brighten the skin! Also sheet masks in the morning are a great way to add plumpness and growth. I also love these under eye masks that use placenta - instant results! A drop or two of an oil will also really seal in your skin's moisture and reflect light in a flattering way.

I know you said without makeup but a wash of a light shade all over the lid - something that has a sheen to it - is very flattering when you're doing a subtle look. I use a pale pink but another color may work better for you. And then you can wear a tinted lip balm in a shade that makes your lips look really saturated and alive, but still natural.

Personally I haven't found that I don't want to wear makeup now that my skin is looking great consistently, I just am able to have more fun with different approaches depending on the day. Hopefully this helps expand your options :)

    I'm new to asian beauty products and most of my research was from Soko Glam and various YouTube videos.
    

I want to preface this by saying that I received a full-size free sample of this stuff as a member of the BzzAgent program, but as part of the BzzAgent program I am required to disclose that anytime I talk about the product and also be completely honest when I discuss the product. And I LOVE this stuff. Facial cleansers - including a fair few already listed in the comments here - always make me break out worse than just washing my face with water and a clean washcloth, but that leaves a lot of oil behind. This stuff is super mild, not even technically a soap, more of a cold cream, but it's a wonderful wash and I've found that after about three days of using this in a row in the shower at night my face was much less oily. This is definitely something I plan on continuing to purchase once my full-size sample runs out.

This is an EXCELLENT beginner's set. Razor, Brush, Stand. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but the brush is fantastic (I have entirely switched to this brush, over some other more "fancy" brushes) and the razor is a good weight with a good medium length. Plus, having a tidy stand is bonus points.

This is one type of soap/mug set.

And this is another soap/mug set. I personally prefer this type of bowl. It's also much heavier than it looks (I think it's ceramic). The brush is crap, though.

This is a cheap, good-smelling aftershave. But it's alcohol based, so he might not like it (stings slightly).

This gets you nearly everything for under your budget. The two items I'd say are missing are available at Wal-Mart for less than three dollars combined. You need the pre-shave oil (Shave Secret, $1.50 at my local WalMart) and a styptic pencil ($1.15 at my local WalMart).

Even after these, we're still around the $90 mark, and these items will last for literally years (except the consumables, of course).

There's your complete set, minus blades. The purchase of blades is a rather personal affair, though, and I'd recommend a sampler pack. There are literally dozens of sampler packs available. Here's one. Bear in mind, however, that most people can do three to six full shaves (i.e., the entire face) using ONE blade.

One piece of advice: If you want him to enjoy it, don't skimp on the brush. In my opinion, probably seconded by a majority of wet-shavers, the brush is going to be the single most important deciding factor for a noobie who isn't purchasing these things for himself in determining whether he likes the process or not. There's virtually no doubt that he'll like the results.

For under my eyes, I use this stuff. Again, super cheap and quality stuff.

I use the Amazon line for a charcoal mask at least once a week. I haven't tried the stuff of the rest of the line, but I've heard good things about it - and again, fairly decent priced.

For nighttime, I use Skyn Icelandic which is the pricey one. For the cleanser and night lotion both, it was $100. But it's lasted me about three months now because you don't have to use a lot. HERE is a link for the night cream and HERE is a link for the cleanser.

I know it seems like a lot, but it's really not.

  EDIT: I'll add too, I kept my routines pretty simple because I can get real lazy at night or after my shower. So if it's a lot of work, I won't stick to it. This is the bare necessities and will really help with keeping your skin looking good.

My (male) roommate and I both use this under eye brightener. I'm not not sure if it will provide the amount of coverage you want, but it has a solid medium coverage, blends in to skin very well, does not crease AT ALL, and I think will be a decent match for you (like I said, my roommate and I both use it even though he is medium skinned and I'm pretty fair). Available on Amazon or at Target if you need it in a jif.

If that doesn't work out for you, I would highly suggest going into Sephora or ULTA or to a MAC counter. I know it might feel a little strange for someone who's never worn makeup, but getting matched by a pro in person would be the best option. Good luck!

The vast majority of my rosacea was flushing after exertion as well. The Clinique redness reduction line did nothing for me. One product I found that soothes my skin is Laneige Hydrating Gel. It is unfortunately even more expensive than the Clinique line but works better for me.

One cheap easy item to help temporarily is an ice roller like this one Just leave it in the freezer and grab it when your pink is up. Feels good and helps with redness.

My flushing improved long term after treatment with horse paste a.k.a. ivermectin. Tons of info about this if you just search the subreddit.

It really makes me self conscious and I am constantly checking make sure my makeup looks ok. I want to just resolve this so I do not have to use makeup. I am willing to try any products or look into any procedures to remedy this condition

Also something to keep in mind, the makeup trend now is to have concealer that is lighter than your skin tone to brighten under your eyes WITH foundation. If you just want to cover the dark circles you need to find a concealer that matches your skin tone otherwise it does look a little strange.

Hey there, I am a 21 y/o Male that would like some help expanding my simple skincare routine. Not trying to go all out 12-step crazy, but some additional things would be great. I lived in Korea for a while but for some reason, never took advantage of their skin products until I was back in the US. Right now my stuff is mainly Western, but I'm hoping to switch everything to Korean brands. The main problem I'm trying to fix is my BB cream causes slight blemishes and redness after taking it off. I know the obvious answer is to stop using it, but I'm trapped in the perpetual cycle where it makes my face red -> cover it with BB -> it makes my face red, etc. I have a different brand coming in the mail, so I'll see if switching helps. I'm a guy in his mid 20s and my current routine is REALLY simple but has some problems and I would also like to expand it a bit...

Current routine:

AM - Wash face, Apply lotion, Put on tinted sunblock (need it cus of darker skin)

PM - Same as AM sans the sunblock and using St Ives exfloiating pad (AHA) before applying lotion.

So off the bat there are two problems with my routine. First is that there are days when I go to the gym mid-day which requires a shower. Problem with this is that I must wash my face 3 times on certain days (how else would I remove the sunblock?). Second is that I shave using a double-edge razor which actually serves to exfoliate the parts of my face that I shave so what ends up happening is that my entire face is not being exfoliated equally (my cheek look so much better than my forehead), I have no idea how I would go about solving this... It should be noted that I do not use the St Ives pads on night when I shave (I shave every other day).

I want to change my routine to account for these two issues while also expanding it a bit to lessen stuff like wrinkles and dark spots (my complexion sucks, esp my forehead).

I was looking at some products and found some that looks promising? interesting? but honestly, I'm not too experienced in this area...

You can see that I prefer gel moisturizers because I don't like that feeling of putting on lotion and my face being sticky even after like an hour (Aveeno does this).

Face wash - my current face wash isn't sustainable (kinda niche) and it doesn't wash away my sunblock all that well either... I had the same problem with SCA's favorite Cerave hydrating cleanser.

I can't say I've noticed real improvement from using St Ives's pads? Not sure if I want to try anything stronger though because I am bad with sunblock reapplication.

Even the sunblock is not the best because it has such a strong flowery smell. But I need a lightly tinted one to not look like a ghost... Hmm maybe this one?

I was browsing Amazon and came across an eye gel from a brand I never heard of before, BaeBody (link at bottom). Always looking for a good eye cream for my dark circles and puffiness, it seemed too good to be true! It had 7000+ reviews with a near 5 star rating and it was only about $25. I began looking through their other products and added a hyaluronic acid serum, castor oil for eyelash growth, and a charcoal teeth whitener from them, coming together with the eye gel to make a purchase with a total of $59...not bad. Except then I thought to start researching BaeBody and while there aren't many reviews at all from beauty bloggers, magazine articles, etc. there were a lot of reports indicating the company has skewed, bias, or fake reviews. Should i put this on my skin? I thought I was getting a new, up and coming, inexpensive product based on the thousands of potentially fake reviews. You can store it in the shower, but make sure it's out of line of the water. It's also a good idea to ignore the razor holder it comes with (both for the stub and the refills), keep the refills somewhere dry and out of the shower, and make sure that when you're storing the razor you currently use in the shower, the blades aren't resting down on anything. If the blade gets a bit dull, you can rub it downwards (with the blade) on jeans and it helps.

As far as shaving soap goes, I love Colonel Conk's. I prefer the bars because they're easier to manage. I sometimes use Burt's Bees for a moisturizer, but usually don't need it.

I have used this one before and it is okay! My favourite are the asian eye masks, such as: Berrisom Placenta Firming Hydro Gel Eye Patch link. The link buys you 60, which is awesome for daily or every other day use. They only have one review on amazon but if you go to other websites (like asian beauty store websites) you can find a lot more reviews. I also like the My Beauty Diary eye masks but they are more expensive :/

Use a sponge to press in the powder to set it. I just use the round one that came with my power foundation. You definitely still need to moisturize, as others have mentioned but you won't get the creases to completely stop until you press in the powder. I get a lot of creases, just because of the way my eyes are and this is the only thing that works. I usually have to do only a minor touchup while at work, rather than checking every few hours.

Also, if you really love the Bobbi Brown corrector, I would recommend checking out the SkinFood concealer. I love the Bobbi Brown one but it gets expensive for everyday, especially because I'm layering it underneath my regular concealer. For reference, I'm nc30ish and use "light peach" in the BB concealer, I use #2 in the SF one.

As far as eye creams go, I really love Sana Nameraka Isoflavone Wrinkle Eye Cream. It's unscented and very gentle but super moisturizing, and I've also found that it brightens my undereyes with consistent use.

I started using this eye cream two months ago and have noticed a huge improvement with my under eye circles. I recently started using coconut oil on them at night (instead of this cream). But beware about coconut oil, definitely patch test first since it clogs some people's pores.

While my circles have gotten better, they're never going to be 100% gone. Mine are definitely genetic, and I've learned to accept them. I still use my Age Rewind concealer on them but I don't stress out about completely covering them up anymore. Celebrities like Kristen Stewart manage to rock their dark circles, even with dark eye makeup, so I figure I can too ;)

I have normal/oily skin. I recently found Burts Bees sensitive skin moisturizer, and it's crazy good. I've tried AB creams and other nonAB ones, and I always had that greasy feel. With BB, my skin is matte with a velvety soft feel. No oil/shine on my fingers when I wipe across my face. My face takes longer to get oily. There's no fragrance, which I love since I'm hypersensitive to some fragrances. I absolutely love this moisturizer and it has great reviews on Amazon.

Get a couple of the maybelline concealers that you think are close to your shade. It's hard sometimes in the store to get the right shade. I typically buy 2 or 3 that I think are close and take the ones that don't match back. These have a built in applicator.

For the last couple months I have been using TO's AHA 30% + BHA 2% peeling solution once a month for roughly ten minutes. Then I follow with my night routine minus the micellar water.

Do I need more exfoliation? Is there a serum I am missing? I drink water all day long! PLEASE HALP. Nothing seems to make my skin more even.

This might not help with the darkness but I love this. I've noticed it really does help with puffiness, which can contribute to the prominence of dark circles. It's also moisturizing. You can then follow with a light, orange-based concealer to help cancel out the blue tones.

Right now the area seems like it’s still a bit irritated and starting to scab/heal, I’d focus on keeping it well moisturized right now. I normally use this when I get random dry patches, but it can work for this purpose as well. Then to help fade the discoloration this eye cream

I have the same lines (except its my right eye with the extra long crease lol) and of all the concealers I have ever used crease eventually, but some FAR less than others. My favorite one is Tarte Shape Tape, and a little bit goes a VERY long way. I'm talking a couple small dots under each eye. My favorite thing to do when I have a lot of time is to leave on some hydrogel undereye patches until they shrivel a little (30-45 min) and then apply concealer. Soooooo much smoother and plump.

To warn you, and others, there are some western items I use.

What I use is Mario Badescu Cleansing Milk with Carnation & Rice Oil to remove my makeup. I use the Yes To Grapefruit Rejuvenating Facial Wipes to remove that (you can use a wet cloth). Then I use a foaming cleanser (which I'm in need of finding a better one).

Once done with that I use 40 carrots vitamin serum (it's a Vitamin C serum). Sometimes when I'm lazy I use [Alpha Hydrox Retinol] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BW4ZB74/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_mul0xb88ED1WF) instead.

I then get lost on Reddit or watching Netflix. So at least a half hour goes by before I remember to do the rest of my routine.

I pump Kikumasamune Sake high moisture lotion into my hands and smooth it around my face. Then I apply Tony Moly Pure Eco Snail Moisture Gel (it has alcohol in it but my skin doesn't mind it). Then I use Farm Stay AIO Honey Ampoule (a drop or two). I'd advise you to get a different AIO (Scinic or the likes). As I find it a useless step at the moment.

Next I use Mizon Collagen Power Lifting cream all over my face followed by the Mizon Collagen Power Firming eye cream. Then I get lost in Reddit or Netflix again.

I then use The Face Shop Arsainte Eco-Therapy Moisturizer and follow up with Holika Holika Skin and Good Cera Ultra Emulsion.

My final "sealing it all in" step is about a large pea size of Imselene Bird's Nest Aqua Sleeping Mask Pack (it's cheaper on eBay).

For masking I use these from Amazon (my husband and I have easily gone through 50 of them) and the Petitfee black pearl and gold hydrogel patches.

For sunscreen during the day I use Rohto Skin Aqua UV Super Moisture Gel Suncreen (140g).

Note: I don't get everything from Amazon. I also check eBay to see where the prices are the cheapest. Those were just links to show the exact product I use. Everything I do use I try to keep around $15USD or less (that's including shipping).

I'm not sure what country you're in or what Shoppers is, but here's what I use (and I'm a guy, if that matters):

All of those are soap free. I used to have a horribly oily face into my late 20's (I'm 30 now), and I only recently discovered this solution and it works incredibly well. As others have said, using soap (or products with soap in them) strips your skin of the oils it needs to naturally block out contaminants. Since I switched to these soap-free moisturizing products my skin looks far less oily and I have fewer breakouts. It's been a complete game changer for me.

Most major retailers sell the Burt's Bees brand, but I'm not sure about the Simple brand.

Edit: If you use nothing else, at least get the first one I linked to (the sensitive face wash), that's the one that's made the biggest difference for me even before I started using the other moisturizers in tandem with it. Good luck!

Sure thing. Basically, you can't always get rid of them. Mine are just genetic and no matter how much sleep I get, they're there.

I just use this roll on stuff from Garnier. It's pretty simple to use and isn't too expensive. Just roll a bit on your upper and lower eyelids and blend it by dabbing with your finger. No need to go super heavy, a little goes a long way. The big thing is to make sure that it blends into your skin.

I started using Mizon Snail Repair Eye Cream and I really like it so far. It's very hydrating yet lightweight. Also pretty inexpensive.

But since you have brown-based undereye circles skincare could help. Brown circles are from hyperpigmentation. Sunscreen should be a must, and ingredients that fight hyperpigmentation can help - vitamin C, licorice root extract, arbutin, and maybe even very mild retinoids if you're rigorous with sunscreen.

Cerave makes a wonderfully rich eye cream that I use in the winter time. It’s a decent price, and a little goes a long way (for me). It feels nice and thick, but applies and blends well, and I’ve had no issues with pilling or applying over it.

I just went through my drug cabinet and accounted for some stuff and where I might be getting them

The razor is a Lord L6 and the stand is a Colonel Ichabod Conk.

The brush and mug were purchased from the local Farmer's Market from a nice lady who makes homemade soaps. The soap is a disc in the mug and it is amazing. It is Bay Rum scent made with all sorts of oils and since I started using it over shave gel to shave with I have no razor burn or irritation. I am excited to do my first wet shave tomorrow!

I have an ice roller for a similar purpose! It's bigger and colder than a jade roller (though not as aesthetically pleasing unfortunately), and the shape and size are perfect for pressing on your eyes.

I found that the tinted version of that product to be both cooling and covering and overall effective.

This Garnier eye roller is good too. It's basically a liquid concealer. I rub it on my finger and carefully dab on around my eyes. Looks nothing like makeup. Completely imperceptible.

Yup. been doing this for a couple years now, and I'll never go back. I'd also suggest if you're considering going down this road, to pick up a Razor Sampler Pack. The profiles, sharpness, materials, etc. vary from blade to blade, and you'll be much better off in the long run if you find a brand of blade that suits your beard, skin and shaving technique. FWIW, I settled on Feather blades.

Hmm.... silence may be difficult to supply. We have 3 kids (7, 4, and 2), so there's very little silence in our house.

FTR I switched from Purity to the Burt's Bees Sensitive cleanser this one and it works just as well for my neurotic sensitive skin.

Yeah, as I look around I'm finding more and more people reviewing products and pointing out fakes. People comparing it to have buying the product in person, then it being VERY different from the Amazon product. One I caught today was for the Mizon Snail Eye Cream. Not saying it's fake, but a lot of people are upset where as the review for the other listing seems fine.

It's simple, minimal, requires no knowledge or understanding of make up, and makes a huge difference. Just a dab under your eyes, you smear it a little, and you're good to go. I also have dark circles under my eyes and it has nothing to do with sleep, it's genetic. I find that using this to hide them just makes me look so much better.

Edit: also, you can use it while in the bathroom or something. Nobody needs to know.

I second this! Numb that face up! I had an ice roller that helped with pain and swelling.

So, I've been using a DE for nine or ten months now. I like the ritual of it -- I have a little metal dish that I store my razor in, I replace the blade every other shave, I disassemble the razor and wash it and lay it out to dry on a little towel afterward -- but I also like that it basically takes me the same amount of time as it did with a (shudder) Venus.

But, as a disclaimer, even though I'm fast with it, and even though I only shave my legs once every week or two, I still sometimes think "...ahhh, it'll be a pain in the ass, I don't have time to put it together and clean it afterward and all that," and skip it. Also, because you shouldn't store the razor in the shower -- like I did with my old crappy Gillette -- touch-ups (as in "Oh crap, I missed a spot yesterday!") are more work.

I think a straight razor would have a steeper, longer learning curve, and it's definitely more work to maintain. I'm also not the most steady-handed girl in the world, so I prefer the safety razor for minimal leg-slashing.

For anyone else who's considering it, I got an Edwin Merkur razor ($33) and a variety pack of 60 blades ($18 then, now $22). I'm not even halfway through the pack of blades almost a year in, and the DE gives me a closer, smoother, less irritating shave than cartridge razors ever did.

I dunno about you, but I always had horrible undereye bags until I started using under-eye cream. Apparently a lot of the time, dark circles are caused by the skin under your eye being really thin and they can't get enough vitamins. I used this cream for like two weeks, and even with my mediocre sleep schedule and questionable diet my undereye darkness is almost gone.
