For some reason, Im drawn to these black trees for some sort of decoration, depending on how tall they are, they could be centerpieces maybe?

I like this wristband bracelet for bridesmaids to wear, if you have some, or even yourself, depending on your dress color.

I like the idea of black candelabras everywhere, I feel like they are very romantic/dark, if done right. Something like this minus the fake spiders, and these Bleeding candle sticks are very cool.

If you're serving punch, an intricate black punch bowl would look great. Maybe a bowl on every other table, since they're little?

Satin flower girl basket, but I think there is a whole set for this, with a guest book and ring pillow. The gems are white, but it looks like you could easily pop them out, and place them with purple.

Instead of having guests sign a guest book, you could frame this Map of Europe and take the glass out and have people sign it. It would look amazing with all the well wishes on it, but still have a neat background to it.

A set of these Apothocary jars, filled with candy or matches, placed at the bar, or around the cake table, just as little accents. And you could wrap them with a band of purple ribbon to help tie your colors together.

And lastly, I always love candles at a wedding I feel like they are the symbol of romance. Lots of candles, everywhere. They give off just the right amount of light.

Good luck, hope Ive helped just a little. <3

Thanks for the contest! I hope to see pics of how the wedding decorations look!!!

Sknightx would LOVE pink & black argyle! This is not a joke. =)

Let's change out those curtains!

Might I suggest an argyle pattern that you love for your curtains! Amazon has a selection that could help tie various room colors together, or there's this one in your favorite pink & black colors! This would also save you the work of painting argyle! =)

As for wall colors, the lightest shade should go opposite your window(s) for best lighting, and I'd go with a nearly-white shade of that lightest pink (or grey) and either the charcoal or raspberry color below an imaginary chair-rail over which you can glue this pink and black argyle ribbon to create a chair-rail look. Having a dark color only on the lower ~1/3 of a wall would keep the room from being too dark as well. =)

Alternately, the same super pale grey on the wall with this pink argyle wall sticker -- then you get some simple picture-frame trim from Home Depot (they'll even mitre it for you), paint it black (or that dark charcoal) and tack it up around the decal to make it look like a giant piece of artwork!

Oh, and this. =)

Happy Cake Day!

Song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4d1i35T5yAk

I love funk, and Funkadelic is one of the best. This song isn't the best instrumentally, but it always makes me laugh and ready to jam c:

Animal: I love many animals, right now it's probably a squid, fennec fox, or unicorn.

Joke: A man calls up the hospital and yells, "Send help! My wife is going into labour!"

The nurse says, "Calm down, we'll be there right away. Is this her first child?"

He says, "No! this is her husband!"

skirt ($26)

ribbon

shirt

Honestly, you could and probably should find the shirt and ribbon in person to make sure the red matches, but to be safe I linked them.

Looks like a fun outfit and I hope you found this helpful!

If I may add, I think going with a shoulder free top would look great as well!

I'd get a plain black full dress like this or this or this and add a satin lilac ribbon to the waist. you can also trim the skirt if you can find a full one but it's not quite short enough. also,
it looks like it might even be a layered thing, like the nightgown or dress might be strapless and those are brastraps you see? I'd put a pretty lacy black bra under whatever dress you pick. good luck!

Honestly, it's probably easier & better to get a backpack you like & custom-make the webbing harness.

I have an old North Face Recon backpack that refuses to fall apart.

The big clip for around the waist is a "7145/7146 1" Rock Lockster Plastic Side Release Buckle"

And the smaller ones for chest, exterior side cinch (x2), and interior laptop compartment are "7315/7316 3/4" Rock Lockster Plastic Side Release Buckle".

I bought 1" webbing and 3/4" webbing, total cost maybe $30. But you have a "tank bag" that is easily secured to the bike and super easy to carry around. Plus I feel most won't carry a laptop this easily.

I can see the issue of not being able to use the camera indefinitely while plugged in (this was fixed in the a6500) but I had issues too with the strap and charger and they're easy to fix at small cost:

It’s gorgeous. First pick lights and put those on. Use Large decorations. If you need big ones dollar tree has some nice ones. Toss everything you have on that. If you use anything ribbon you probably want to go the 10 inch. Like this. 10 inch x 30 feet Deco Poly Mesh Ribbon - Metallic Silver: RE130126 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HNORUDA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_9sB4DbW84A21W it’s usually cheaper if you find locally like hobby lobby. There’s draping it like this. http://www.marcelrich.com/elegant-christmas-tree-decorating-ideas-2019/5-christmas-tree-decorating-ideas-2019-modern-50-stunning-best-regarding/

Edit: to clarify I don’t believe there’s a wrong way to decorate. Do it how you enjoy it.

If you know how to sew and have access to a sewing machine you can make some great restraints with nylon web and steel D rings. If you cant find a local shop to buy your supplies you should be able to get it all on amazon.

Here's what I used to make my own:

At least 64 inches of 2-inch nylon webbing
https://www.amazon.com/Country-Brook-Design%C2%AE-Polypro-Webbing/dp/B003K2BNR4

2-inch steel D rings - 4 of those
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002I03QT2/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1473861931&sr=8-2&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=2%22+steel+d+ring&dpPl=1&dpID=41eLENuUUQL&ref=plSrch

2-inch sew-on velcro.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01D8MPRWC/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1473862024&sr=8-3&pi=SX200_QL40&keywords=2%22+sew+on+velcro&dpPl=1&dpID=51jblEDy80L&ref=plSrch

Felt fabric
https://www.amazon.com/100%25-ACRYLIC-FELT-1281-72-WD/dp/B001THXM6C/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1473863302&sr=8-9&keywords=felt+fabric

  1. Measure the circumference of your wrists and add 3.5 inches for the restraint to overlap and about 1 inch at either end for the hem. That will total up to something like 12 inches per restraint.
  2. Cut 4 more pieces of nylon at 4 inch lengths. This will be used to reinforce the D-ring on the inside of the webb.
  3. Cut 4 pieces of both parts of the Velcro. You’ll end up with 8 total pieces, 4 hook, 4 loop
  4. Cut 4 pieces of felt – 2in X 7.5in to fit to the inside of the restraint. Padding for your victim.

    Put it all together

  5. Hem the webbing or it will unravel. Fold the extra inch at either end of the web and sew it down for your hem.
  6. Add the Velcro at pieces at either end and sew it down. Make sure to test wrap it around your wrist to make sure the Velcro orients right (don’t put both pieces on the same side of the webbing).
  7. Slide the webbing through the D ring and position it at about the center of the webbing.
  8. Set your 4 inch piece of web on top of the flat part of the D-ring and sew it into place. This part holds the ring so it wont move around inside the restraint.
  9. Place your felt on the inside of the restraint and sew it into place.

Hopefully the instructions are clear enough. Here’s what I posted when I made my own set.
    https://www.reddit.com/r/BDSMcommunity/comments/4vc902/diy_bondage_on_the_cheep/
The red pull tab in the pictures wasn’t in the instructions above because I didn’t want to overcomplicate things.
All together I spent about $24.00, but I bought all that locally.

Feel free to ask any questions.
u/Travellingtrex · 2 pointsr/metalgearsolid

Thanks!! Honestly he just bought wthis webbing online, figured out the pieces and sewed it all together on a regular sewing machine. The snaps and buckles were super easy to find at a fabric store. It’s just getting the lengths and everything right and figuring out how to make it all adjustable (which this is). It probably took about 6-9 hours to make, but a good chunk of that was figuring out how to use the sewing machine properly since it’s old, but new to us.

I must have these! I'm working on making some of my duct tape and ribbons creations for people to wear c: It's a lot easier to put them on those than try to fashion something.. ._.

My reddit screen name came from my high school nickname.. I was on the soccer team and had to hold my boobs when I ran. My teammates told me I looked like a T-Rex. Then they realized the last part of my name sounded T. Thus, KristiRex was born! I think I added an extra i and x because the original was taken..

I'm still searching for better options for you on Amazon..

but so far I have:

If you don't find one, it would be easy enough to buy a black umbrella and attach your own roses. (Comments say those are pretty small, so shop around. Make sure the dye is waterproof!)

u/rockerbabe28 · 2 pointsr/sewing

Amazon. Here is a list of a few things I have bought from various vendors on Amazon. I tend to buy most of my supplies from Amazon unless I need it right away. The only I haven't bought online is thread because I like to see the colors in person.

Magnetic Snaps

Heavy Cotton Webbing I also bought some PolyPro webbing from them.

Zippers I bought 7 inch and 12 inch

Swivel clips and D rings

Ive seen something similar in my floral class... we used them in corsages...

Like I mentioned in my other reply, hemp twine is a good biodegradable material... You can get it in different thicknesses depending on the line weight requirements you have... Here is a cheap spool that is 48lbs weight. I can't imagine needing more than that, but I assure you that hemp probably can get up in the thousands of pounds without getting overly thick... There is a reason it was almost exclusively used for naval rope.

https://www.amazon.com/Package-feet-100-Natural-Hemp/dp/B001687W0G?th=1

Also, Jute comes in different braids/twists and thicknesses... The crappy, cheap big box store is usually 5-7lbs... Here's some Jute that is 28lbs... https://www.amazon.com/Darice-3-Ply-Natural-Jute-28/dp/B00GHSMZUM/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_201_lp_img_3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=FNTC0FG4YHVBG6GKKANG

Also... if you are lashing say two logs together, wrap the cordage around the joint multiple times. Each wrap is going to add more security. If you wrap the 28lb jute around a joint 4 times, you are likely to see a joint that could handle nearly 100 lbs.

I think you could use a transparent vinyl sheet sewn or melted into a tail balloon, then covered in plastic gel sheets. I forgot what the gel is called but it looks like this: http://www.smith-nephew.com/global/images/products/wound/cica-care/cica-care-thin-(hand).jpg

The vinyl should be this stuff: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Magic-Cover-Super-Clear-Vinyl-Roll-54-x-10-yds/23554850

or https://www.amazon.com/Gauge-Clear-Vinyl-54-Inch-25-Yards/dp/B006QMTUPC

Burlap Webbing: 10 yards, $30. I'm sure there are cheaper options somewhere else. I think I bought some at Joann's in their upholstering section for ~$15 for a hefty roll. I'd also check ebay: Probs cheaper there. Also called "Jute webbing".
