You are so amazing and generous! I would LOVE this Instax camera, I have a slight obsession with instant cameras like polaroids etc so this would be AMAZING Fujifilm Instax MINI 25 Instant Film Camera you asked to write girlsplaywow is a jerk but I don't think you're a jerk <3 :3 If shipping too expensive a gift card would go a long way too, I'm trying to save up for some better lenses for my camera :)

There's the Holga 135:
http://www.amazon.com/Holga-Plastic-Camera-Discontinued-Manufacturer/dp/B001E75PBM

It's a 35mm film camera so it uses the most common film which you should not have too much problem having developped or even developping yourself. It is particularly loved by enthuiasts for its 'cheap' body, producing a lot of vignette and light leaks. It is also very easy to use as it only has two aperture modes and one shutter speed (I think there's a bulb (manual) mode too).

I suggest looking at the customer images (next to customer reviews) on the amazon page to see if it corresponds to the kind of picture you want to get.

Couple that with Lomography Color Film:
http://www.amazon.com/Lomography-35mm-color-film-pack/dp/B001M5U778

which produces typically "lo-fi" pictures and you've got pretty much the lowest-fi result you can get, haha.

Also, if you don't want to bother with processing, there are instructions around the web to make yourself an "Holgaroid"; modding your Holga with a polaroid back to have a really cool and easier to use instant-camera.

Hope its OK to post this question I posed on r/analog, because I am desperate for answers :)

Been MANY years since I last had a film SLR, and I have just got a Canon Rebel 300 / 2000 http://www.amazon.com/Canon-Rebel-2000-Camera-28-80mm/dp/B00001QEMF/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

(not from amazon, cheap 2nd hand from ebay!)

The questions - I currently have canon crop dslr gear, and specifically I am wanting to ask - I would just "Play about" but I dont want to damage any gear...:

1, Flash - will my canon 580exii work (in manual mode maybe) at all with this camera?

2, Will lenses work? I appreciate the ef-s crop lenses wont, but will "normal" lenses eg canon 70-200 f4l is work properly?

3, any other tips!

Many thanks for advice

> Hi r/photography, I’m looking into getting into film photography finally. I was wondering what camera I should get. I do have semi-pro experience with dslr’s, but want to have a little fun with slr’s. Any help is appreciated.

Get a Leica M7.

u/theunionargus · 2 pointsr/Polaroid

Just got a Instax mini 8 yesterday, it's fun to shoot on but the auto shutter speed and auto flash kind of bug me. I much prefer to shoot on my "Cool-Cam" Polaroid 600. I think the small/wide or tall format of the Instax mini 8 prints are pretty interesting and give the opportunity for wide angle shots if you turn your camera 90°'s, but all in all with the butt-loads of automated things on the camera it can become a hassle to shoot with.

Love the photo too! I find it tough to get darker prints on the Instax mini 8.

u/Cmoorebutz · 2 pointsr/analog

Very recently did some film shots with the school camera and am in the process of getting them developed. We got them hung up in the dark room and spring break started the next day so I'm not too sure how they will look. However, I really enjoyed using the camera and I want to purchase one for myself.

I'm currently looking at the Olympus OM-1 35mm and wonder what you guys thought of this. Is it a good beginner camera? Another question I have is what film to use. I looked at the Kodak Ektar 100 on a whim and it looks nice.

Final question. I have no black room besides the one at school and I graduate in a few months and also have no idea how to do anything in there. I read that Walgreens does 35mm and wonder if this is true. Anyone know prices?

I really appreciate any help I get!

u/Hilarious_Haplogroup · 2 pointsr/Polaroid

Hopefully some of them will come out with a cool, artsy look to them. Once you use up those packs, the least expensive option I could find was Impossible 600 film for $21 a pack with prime shipping. ( http://www.amazon.com/Impossible-PRD2959-Polaroid-600-Type-Camera/dp/B00GQRU4D4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1421863892&sr=8-1&keywords=impossible+film+polaroid+600 )Each pack has only 8 pieces of film in it. That's $3 a photo! I'll keep playing with my instax 50s (roughly $.82 per image when bought in bulk) and Polaroid Land 250 that uses the Fujifilm FP-100c film (which I can get for $.90 per photo). I hope you take some cool photos and post them to /r/Polaroid!

Instant cameras

In the market to delve into the instant photography realm. The practicality and nostalgia really interests me, but I have only a slight idea of what I should be looking for. I feel there are so many to choose from. Leica, Fujifilm, Lomography...

What makes one virtually better than the other.

For example, here are a few that I have been eyeing and reading up on.

Lomo'Instant Wide Black

Lomo'Instant Automat Glass

Lomo'Instant Camera

Fujifilm instax WIDE 300

instax mini 70

instax mini 90

Leica Sofort Instant

Do all of these have detachable lenses?

I am looking for something that isn't heavy or bulky at a reasonable price for the quality of photos that it takes. I do not want to feel overloaded with settings. What other things should I be looking at when choosing an instant? Any recommendations are appreciated.

u/camerun95 · 23 pointsr/malelivingspace

It's the Instax Mini 9 - got it as a gift from a friend. Great little thing.

u/brunerww · 5 pointsr/bmpcc

Hi /u/Namisaur - I have the BMPCC and I use three types of handheld rig, depending on the situation - the stabilizer/steadicam, the pistol grip and the shoulder rig. Depending on what you want to do, I recommend:

Fujifilm Instax Mini 9 Instant Camera SMOKEY WHITE w/ Film and Accessories – Polaroid Camera Kit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071GW2T4G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Fbo2BbWVY1Z41

I LOVE THIS!!! not only does it take me back to my days of using all of my moms film, it actually make pictures tangible again. I take so many pictures and never print out all of them. To have instant pictures again would be soooo cool! And all the stuff that comes with it??? I could stay busy for days!!!!

u/laggy2da · 5 pointsr/ElectricForest

Here's one that uses actual instant film https://www.amazon.com/Fujifilm-Instax-Mini-Instant-Camera/dp/B06WW64YM6/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1549304170&sr=8-5&keywords=fuji+instax

Here's one that is digital and prints the photos as you take them- https://www.amazon.com/Polaroid-Instant-Digital-Printing-Technology/dp/B015JIAGE2/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1549304216&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=polaroid+digital&psc=1

And here's a portable printer so you can just print photos from your phone https://www.amazon.com/Canon-Wireless-Bluetooth-Portable-Printer/dp/B07C68MS2H

I've used both of the first 2. The Fuji instax photos look best but getting them to come out good with lighting can be tricky and the film is expensive. I wouldn't reccomend the instant print polaroid. The pictures rarely came out good in my experience.
I haven't had experience with the pocket printer but they seem really nifty.

u/benezolano · 8 pointsr/videos

Yeah, one like that would be ideal for this kind of work, I don't have the money for the shipment but I will wait until july. Thank you so much for your offer

I was thinking that the person hiring me would pay for the proper equipment such as this one plus a SD memory. And shipping the items to Venezuela.

I'll let you know if someone hires me. Thank you again

u/KallistiEngel · 6 pointsr/pics

>Rich hipsters use those no mirror lens cameras that are really over priced.

For what they are, the price is right on a lot of them ($300-500, unless you're looking at the really high end ones that go for like $1200). A low-level DSLR can run you $500-$600, a higher-end DSLR that's still not quite professional level can run you nearly $2k. Point-and-shoots can range from a bit under $100-$300. So those mirrorless cameras do fit a niche in between the two.

/photo-geek

The truly rich hipster would be shooting with a 35mm film Leica.

u/ecranNoir · 3 pointsr/the1975

I'm not sure what they gave out on Tour but I've picked up a Fujifilm Quicksnap "flash" (amazon uk link) for Leeds festival, hope this helps! :)

u/tuvaniko · 2 pointsr/Cameras

No they are all kinda cruddy cameras. Even when they were new. If you want an older style camera you could try something like this.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00N2G1Q6G/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_YZ.bzbCYV7Q7W

I have one, it would give better images than some of the cameras in your post. if you like the look of the stuff in /r/toycameras then it would be a cheep and decent choice.

If you want take less fuzzy pictures and would like to use your camera indoors you would need to look at either old pro grade camera or a newer consumer film camera.

u/BobbyDash · 1 pointr/photography

What school is this?

What is your overall budget? Subtract $200 from that because you will need it later obviously. Do you currently have a digital SLR? If so what mount system?

Sounds like you should get one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Canon-Elan-35mm-Camera-Body/dp/B000053HDW/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1334442406&sr=1-1

You will also need a lens to start off with but that depends on what you want to shoot and your budget. Check your local craigslist as well. Just search for Elan 7. The 7, 7e, and 7n will all be perfect for your class and none of them should be on there for more than $100-$120. Here is one on my local CL: http://grandrapids.craigslist.org/pho/2907370329.html

Can't beat that price considering he's including the lens.

u/burning1rr · 1 pointr/Nikon

> Why? It's easy and convenient to control from the camera body.

The Nikon F6 is a $2300 body that you can still buy new today from Nikon. F6 users cannot control the Aperture of E-Type lenses from the body. If Nikon (and other MFG) added an aperture ring to the E-Type lenses, they could.

We're talking about something no more complex than the focus ring Nikon put on their cheap AF-P series lenses. I get that not everyone wants an aperture ring, but it's useful, and some people will appreciate it.

Sony adds aperture rings to a bunch of their high-end portraiture lenses, and they've never had a compatibility reason to do so.

u/geekandwife · 3 pointsr/photography

https://www.amazon.com/Holga-Medium-Format-Camera-Bundle/dp/B00YSSHTC2 - Same price and comes with a roll of film and free 2 day shipping

But I do have a question, how expensive is the film processing for 120 film? Where do you have it done at, I have wanted to pick one up to play around with, but haven't used film in forever, and never 120...

u/Thinkinaboutu · 2 pointsr/streetwear

Buy a holga, they have a cult following, are cheap as dirt, and are great for starting out. Here is a link.

I'll develop your first 2 rolls of film for you, just pay postage!
