Unlike a lot of people here, I'll actually give some good advice.

People who say "quit being a bitch", obviously never rode regular rides with women. My girlfriend does like to ride pillion, but she does complain that it's hard to look good for an outing. The helmet messes up her hair, makeup, etc.

I have a Coolmax Skull Cap or helmet liner that I bought from the US a long time ago for a tenner. It looks something like this. I like it a lot. Look for helmet liners that cyclists use. For girls with longer hair, they may prefer a buff. In particular, my girlfriend wears stud earrings, and the buff is nice in that it covers her ears. She does look like she's wearing a hijab when she puts it on though.

None of these are really going to perfectly preserve your hair. It's best to also try a better hair product. I haven't used gel for literally decades since it's too crunchy and shiny. For me, gel is a very school-boy thing to use. Wax is too shiny. The best hair product I've used is American Crew Forming Cream which does well in helmets.

Usually for ligament strains (like the PCL) they give a grade for the tear. Grade 1 is pretty minor strain, grade 2 is a partial tear, and grade 3 is a full tear of the ligament.

I had a grade 2.5+ almost full tear from a layout on turf in February of this year. I have a good PT and he instructed me to do as much quad strengthening as possible with closed kinetic chain exercises (your feet on the floor, as opposed to things like leg lifts). So lots of reps of single leg split squats, lunges, wall sits, step ups, etc. I also did some electrotherapy stuff that seemed to speed up the healing a bit (the brand of the machine is Bemer).

Even still, it was about 2 months before I was running again, 3 months back to playing, 4-5 months back to playing club level tournaments, and 6 months to feeling close to full speed. But if yours is a lower grade of tear you may be able to get back faster. Mine was just about as close to a full tear as you can get, but luckily I managed to avoid surgery and the long recovery that comes with that.

It's still really easy to re-injure though, especially with layouts and stuff. I'd recommend grabbing some kind of kneepad for that knee when you do start playing again, as that'll help with the impact a bit. I use this one: https://www.amazon.com/McDavid-Youth-Knee-Elbow-Black/dp/B01BD0DZKC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1502247255&sr=8-1&keywords=hex+knee+pad

Hope that helps, and good luck with the recovery!

I use two gloves:
One for general work - and one for progress work.

Chiba Grip Pads
Workout Gloves/Pads
Chiba Grip Pads are great, cos they just provide a bit wider grip and so increase your grip strenght too. Also you don't sweat like in gloves.

Cutters Receiver Gloves
Progress Gloves
The positive thing at this gloves is, that the material, wich sticks to the bar is from silicone which provides a great grip. (you have the feeling you glued these gloves to the bar). Because of the great grip, these gloves are excellent for training skills like Front/Back lever and so on, since your hands don't rotate.

Edit: After another look at your text, I have checked we talk about Hannibal's around the world routine. Thats my routine im currently working with and Chiba Pads are doing a good job.

What do you mean customized jersey? You want a name on the back? I'm assuming by the $20 you are from the US? Thai National Jerseys and Thai Premier League club jerseys are EXTREMELY common here. You can pick them up for around 250 baht ($8) at almost any night market. As for getting them customized, that's a little more tricky. I have seen shops put names on the back of jerseys, but you are going to be better off getting the jersey first and then having someone local customize it for you. Now, finding a Roi Et United jersey will also be difficult because they aren't in the Thai Premier League. I live about 15 minutes outside of Roi Et, so if you are patient, I could probably pick one up for you and send it to you. We could probably work something out. I could also grab you a Thai National Jersey or any other TPL club jersey. Since I don't speak Thai, I don't think I could get it customized for you. That would be on you. But like I said, just have someone local do it for you. It would be far easier. Something else you might want to keep in mind is sizes. A large in a jersey here is about a medium in the States. Just letting you know.

Sorry, I don't know any websites other than Amazon, eBay or World Soccer Shop, which I assume you have already checked. Are you from the States? Also, why Roi Et United? I'm just curious because they are such a small team.

EDIT: You should be able to find a Thai National jersey online, but I would almost guarantee you that you won't find a Roi Et United jersey anywhere outside of Roi Et. Actually, I just did an amazon search and found Thai Nation jerseys

If you want to work out, don't use any kind of lace up corset, there are athletic wraps (flexible, rubber like material with velcro) that are used by many to keep certain areas warmed up, offer a bit of support and act as a reminder to keep your core engaged. I used to wear one for my back, and had another one for my knee. There are also lifting belts that are meant to be used for heavy weight training/Olympic lifts.

I have seen weight vests and ankle weights, but be very cautious about using them as they can do more harm than good. There is a great weight shirt that has insert flat weights. I saw it on Shark Tank that looks really interesting. The advantage to this shirt (as compared to other weight vests) is that the weights are distributed in a much more natural way, and they allow for easier movement, and don't put all the extra strain directly on your back.

Fashion corsets are for looks, they are not as sturdy nor are they meant to actually change anything. Aluminum or plastic boning, typically ribbon ties. Actual trainers are going to be constructed with sturdier materials, and will actually allow you to waist train. I do not recommend serious training to anyone, particularly if losing weight is necessary. My mindset has always been: why smush around fat, instead of actually working to lose it?

If you (or anyone) does decide to get into serious waist training, do your research! There are specific sizes, and schedules to follow, and it's also a gradual process. I haven't looked at it in years, but you are supposed to incrementally 'tighten' the corset over a period time, with a goal of only reducing a small amount at each interval.

Tagging /u/Firstmatewifey because she is interested as well.

Sk8 Hi Vans (great for ankle protection on the cranks). Bell Division Helmet. G-Form shin pads. I have Shadow Conspiracy Invisalite elbow pads, but don't ever use them. They're pretty much the same as the some generic foam knee pads I have, off amazon: https://www.amazon.com/McDavid-Youth-Knee-Elbow-Black/dp/B01BD0DZKC/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1501884304&sr=8-2&keywords=hex+knee+pad

You can't really see it under my jeans and gives more confidence for pedal slips, and knee hitting the stem or falling to your knees. A hard plastic would be better but I have yet to find one that fits nicely under jeans (I am not about wearing them on the outside like it's the 90s, even though I long for those days and am from that era).

u/Sal21G · 3 pointsr/amiugly

So what got me interested in neck excersies was looking at a video of a boxer called gennady golovkin training his neck. In boxing having neck muscles helps you obsorb punches better, but having a stronger neck also improves your posture and back in general. So the exercise he was doing was with a neck harness, he connected weights such as 20lbs and lifted his head repeatedly up and down. Also I’ve seen other guys get 100lb plates, sit at the end of a bench and repeatedly lift the weight. Barbell shrugs is a great way of getting a bigger neck to. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Neck-Trainer-Harness-Weight-Training/dp/B005MZNF3M Here’s a link to a neck harness

It's too early to tell because this was just a teaser and no one really has any idea about its capabilities or functionalities. We just have to wait. But superficially, I don't find the shape particularly attractive as a watch face. Smartwatches in general seem somewhat ironic when the trend has been for smartphones with larger screens and then the big new thing is screen tinier than almost anything we've ever seen.

Smartwatches in general seem kind of antiquated, like inventing a VHS HD instead of a DVD. I am not a fan of Google Glass but at least they were trying something really new. This is supposed to be the future and it seems like a rehash of something people hardly even wear anymore. What would be cool is something like this but with a digital touchscreen. Perhaps it could be removeable and you could put it in a hardcase to be used like a traditional smartphone. You know, something new and far out there. I know we don't really have the technology for this but this is something people would get excited about.

u/chorizobisque · 31 pointsr/CFB

Hey man, just jumping in the first chance I get. Here is how I would suggest formatting your video. And I saw someone suggested this and it is a wise investment for these types of videos. You should post another updated video for more feedback before contacting recruiters. Be sure to include information at the start of the video so recruiters know where you are from, it will help them understand why there isn't any game footage. Good luck!

Triple Eight ExoSkin Knee Pad

I have had these for about a month now and so far they have been the best I've tried yet. I spend a lot of time on my knees repairing things for work. I wear them daily and have been very happy with them so far. They fit comfortably, have a soft yet durable knee area, very breathable, and have Kevlar so they are abrasion resistant. They are so comfortable that I often times just leave them on all day. Makes it easier to get on the floor to play with dogs or small humans. I don't know how well they will work under tighter fitting pants but they are not all that bulky.

Other knee pads that I've tried and not liked so much are:

McDavid HexPad - I found that the padding on these gets compressed and eventually feels like I'm kneeling straight on the floor. Also they didn't breath well and ended up smelling like a locker room after a week or so.

AWP Non-Marring Polyester-Cap Knee Pads - I used these for a while but they ended up soaking up the sweat and smelled terrible in less than a week. Padding was ok but also had a habit of getting compressed or pushed to the sections that weren't getting knelt on.

I got set on Neumann Tackified Gloves by a performer flying choreographer I used to work with. If you're doing performer flying, or regular flying and prefer some extra grip and feel, they're perfect. They're a thinish leather palm with an impregnated adhesive that really improves grip to a remarkable level.

If I'm doing high speed musical/pantomime style flying then I wear Petzl belay gloves, so that the rope can slip a bit better without too much heat.

u/cozimm · 2 pointsr/bjj

I like these McDavid Hex pads. I bought the smaller elbow and have been using them. They are better with the gi on. When I use them with no gi they do tend to slide around and down a bit. They are super slim but give a lot of protection and move with you pretty well. I got them because they didn't go full knee which sometimes I don't like. But I did just buy a pair of full knee ones from the second link to try for no gi. Both pretty reasonable price. I started wearing them when I was getting some Osgood-Schlatter pain where my patellar tendon connects to my tibia.

I like the look of those mountain bike pads though.

u/Renz2LK · 1 pointr/cosplay

If this is what you are referring to; then yes, these are going to be way too small for you. I'm not a big guy (5'6") and these were more like elbow pads for me.

You can easily construct one using cardboard or EVA foam. Drawing out the pattern for them should be pretty straight forward.

u/rinikulous · 2 pointsr/volleyball

Buy one of these ascics single ball carrier and then you don't have to worry about being limited to a sports bag that can carry a ball.

I use that plus my every day go-to pack, Poler rucksack. Although I use that bag for everything, hiking, snowboarding, traveling, backpacking, sports. Pricey but one of my best investments for active gear.

u/ProPatria92 · 2 pointsr/airsoft

I've heard helmet liners really help and are pretty inexpensive. You can wet them to keep you cool, and they help to keep sweat from running down your face.

I like the shockdoctor cup and compression shorts combo on amazon. It fits me pretty well after some minor adjusting. http://www.amazon.com/Shock-Doctor-Power-Compression-BioFlex/dp/B00181JD1W

the jockstrap for shockdoctor is also pretty comfortable. I just don't like wearing them over my boxers. It tends to bunch them up

I tried using my shockdoctor cup in some mcdavid shorts and that was awful. The mcdavid cup pocket is ridiculously huge. The cup has so much slack in it it shifts around during rolls and ends up pinching my nuts a lot.

u/HiroProtagonist1984 · 1 pointr/bjj

Mine are in the mail, hope they aren't too terrible. :/ Did you get the carbon or bioflex? Carbon seems to have the better reviews so I ordered those.

You could keep sucking off Apple or realize that we weren't talking about who was already doing it... also they (Apple) aren't event the first to do 7nm... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/7_nanometer#Expected_commercialization_and_technologies

Again, thats not even the point here, this is about improving the process so its cheaper and more efficient than what we currently have. Now if you are going to keep ignoring facts that people point out. Then I suggest investing is some knee pads so your knees don't hurt while you're on them sucking off Apple... You can find a cheap pair here so you can keep saving and blindly giving more to Apple: https://www.amazon.com/Bodyprox-Protective-Anti-Slip-Collision-Avoidance/dp/B01L379FPE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1539883816&sr=8-1&keywords=knee+pads

Just recently got this McDavid for my bursitis on my knee that made it almost impossible to base on it. Works perfect. If you are on the heavier side I would recommend getting the with the shorter sleeve. The octagonal separation works so much better than a traditional knee pad.

I am loving these helmet liners cooling helmet . They control sweat but also keep my hair away from my face when I’m putting on the helmet. (I was always getting stray hair blocking my vision even using a sweatband). Plus they are cool compared to the bulky sweatband I was using.

u/madAmos · 5 pointsr/gundeals

Also the cheap shooting mat from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/VISM-NcStar-Roll-Shooting-Mat/dp/B0174K9E8W I recommend that you go with tan or grey. Black gets too hot.

u/LefthandedLink · 3 pointsr/ems

I'd suggest you hit a camping store and get some base layers and thick undershirts/pants. Also good wool socks. Also look for something like this. You can still wear gloves easily, but you won't lose dexterity when you throw on your disposables.

u/smilingtruth · 2 pointsr/Hyperhidrosis

I'm sorry that happened to you. It's terrible. We're here for you. The most important thing to do is to be as kind as possible to yourself. Do you usually do something related to construction for work?

From what I understand, you have cranial and chest hyperhidrosis. If you’re looking for treatments, there was a discussion in the group with dermatologists a little while back. If you plan on doing construction again, maybe take a look at some of the items below to keep your body a little cooler.

Having a Camelback may make it easier to consume water throughout the day to keep the body cool. I could only find 3L versions.

I used them and they work great.

However I didn't want to have the ongoing expense, so I got one of those helmet liners that's thin and washable, it does the same thing and I like it. I wear contacts too so I know your pain.
