wow thx <3 <3 <3

But honestly, literally anyone can be attractive. If that's a major roadblock for you to improve your social skills, do soemthing about it; give yourself a makeover! Following is subjective, I guess, but..

Get a good haircut. 90% of the time, that just means "short on the sides, longer on top". LookAfter on green is really good. You could probably just be like "yo hook me up" and they can give you something trendy. Put this in your hair. Shower in the morning, and blowdry it instead of letting it air dry.

Revamp your wardrobe. Get tighter clothes. A pair of these will get you far. If you can button them without causing lots of physical pain to yourself, they aren't too tight (and they will stretch). Try to avoid washing jeans in the washing machine. If you do, air dry them. If your jeans fit well, chances are they won't after you run them through the dryer.

Stay away from gym shoes. A pair of black and a pair of white vans will take you a long way.

Stay away from overusing graphic tees. Grey is a great colour that looks good on everyone. Black and other dark colours are good too. Sweatshirts usually look p good as long as they are a tight fit. Henleys are easy and lit too.

Stay away from cargo shorts. Tight, coloured, mid-thigh shorts are "in" and look better. Looser but still short & thin neutral-coloured shorts are ez too. Especially for spring/summer.

Most of the stuff from Express, H&M, Zara, sometimes A&F, etc. is good.

Qt, bold briefs/boxer briefs from calvin klein, aussiebum, etc. are lit too. People won't often see them, obviously, but it's an easy confidence boost.

Don't discount the importance of being confident. Milo Yiannopoulos isn't actually that attractive, but he is 110% confident, so he tricks you into adding like 4 points. Fix your posture. Sit up straight, stand up straight w/ your shoulders back. Your body will feel better, and you will come off much more confident. Body language is important. The same is true about smiling more, etc.

Take care of your teeth. Crest Whitestrips can save your life if you are a soda/coffee drinker. Floss twice a day, maybe get a tongue brush.

Keep your body hair under control with one of these and a decent razer. Another thing that people only will see if you wear like a real deep v-neck or unbuttoned Henley or when you are sexing, but a confidence booster nonetheless.

Keep your hygiene up to par. Shower often, wash thoroughly (a loofah or washcloth is a good investment) with some kind of good-smelling body wash, wear deodorant, and get some kind of cologne that isn't axe (one of the < $30 ones from Amazon is fine). Also, idk why straight boys often don't wash their butthole, but wash your butthole.

Take care of your skin. This will save your life. If you have acne and that doesn't work well enough, invest in a proactiv subscription or something. You will look and feel much better. Don't be afraid of concealer to cover up some particularly egregious blemishes. Idk anything about makeup brands, but something like this (except that matches your skin tone) is great because it doubles as a mild acne treatment. This (or any spray product with Salicylic acid) will help immensely if you have body acne.

Get in shape. You will look and feel better! You sound like you don't have much time to go to the gym, which is fine. Muscly, skinny and toned, or super skinny are all "trendy" looks. Just avoid dad bod. Skinny can be achieved just through diet and optionally doing body weight exercises at home (crunches, pushups, etc.) or getting a pair of weights. Most importantly, make sure the fit of your clothes matches your body. All of those 3 benefit from snug fits. Dad bod "benefits" from a looser fit, but that's because your clothes are trying to hide your body shape rather than accentuate it, hence why it isn't ideal.

Before interviews/career/fairs/going on a date/whatever other important event, max all this out. Aside from looking good, you will feel good, and you will have a much easier time being confident. When talking to recruiters, especially during the interview, I find that when you feel good about yourself, nerves dissipate hardcore to the point where even when you are stuck, you don't really get that sinking feeling in your stomach. Smile and nod a lot, sell yourself with your strong, confident energy. If you seem like a fun person to work with (and look at), that can make up for a lot of your "faults".

I got all of my interviews that I got at the Expo this year wearing shorts and flip-flops (went during lunch break at work, so didn't have time to change). Just be a chill, happy, and humble dude/dudette, but own the fact that you feel good about yourself. Ppl dig that, especially when a lot of kids are in the same situation you are (ie. don't feel attractive or comfortable talking to people, or their whole life is just academics).

Edit: Oops also do your eyebrows and keep your facial hair in check.

Oh bananas!!! You're so freaking sweet!!! I'm so happy you chatted with all of us last night, it was so fun!

Here are my go to's in my collection (Also, all Korean cosmetic links are to BeautynetKorea (where the shipping is free) or RoseRoseShop (where it's cheap), and all others are from Amazon. But shop around before ordering just in case!):

  • Etude House Goodbye Pore Ever primer OR Too Faced Primed and Poreless primer - Both primers are wonderful and really help even out my skin tone! I feel that Etude House minimizes my pores better, but the Too Faced primer is pigmented, so it offers more coverage. Both are matte when you put them on!

  • Nature Republic's By Flower BB Cream - I LOVE THIS STUFF. Hands down it's my Holy Grail BB. It was a perfect color match for me, evened out my skin tone, and didn't melt away during the day! It had some great staying power and smelled nice and light as well. I have an oily t-zone, and it really stayed quite nicely compared to my other makeup! For reference, I used shade 2 for mine, and I'm an N5 in MAC Studio Fix powder.

  • Tarte Amazonian Clay powder blush in Dollface OR MAC powder blush in Fleur Power - Both of these blushes are my ABSOLUTE FAVORITES. They're both kind of pinky colors, with Dollface being more of a "Barbie pink" with blue undertones, and Fleur Power a bit more "dusty rose". They both go on so naturally and beautiful, and have wonderful saying power. (Though be careful with Tarte's, if you have a heavy hand it might go on waaay too much, haha!)

  • Tarte Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder - This is my holy grail item, no question about it. This powder really mattifies my oily face and helps my makeup last so much longer before the first signs of shine appear. I can even dust it on halfway through the day to re-mattify everything!

  • Covergirl Lineblast 24 hour liquid eyeliner - This is my favorite liquid liner I've tried! The applicator is nice and small, so it's easy to maneuver and SO much easier to make winged liner than a brush. It stays all day long, too!

  • Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes! Mascara - This mascara makes my lashes stand out, look natural, and it helps keep the volume all day as well!

  • Tonymoly Petit Bunny Gloss Bar in Neon Orange - The bar is nice and lightly orange scented, and adds just enough orange tint to your lips to make them pop! On me personally, the orange kind of mixes with my natural lip color and gives them more of a natural coral color.

  • MAC lipstick in Mocha - This is my "perfect for every outfit" lipstick. It looks great when I dress up, and can give more of a polished look for my day to day as well!

  • Tarte Matte Lipsurgence in Exposed - It's a very similar color to MAC Mocha, but this has a matte finish! Plus is makes my lips tingly and almost minty when I put it on!

  • NYX Matte Lipstick in Perfect Red - Straight up, this is my perfect red. It has cooler/ more blue undertones than most other reds I've tried, and it looks absolutely beautiful!

  • Nivea Lip Butter - I wear this stuff religiously when I go to bed, it's perfect for moisturizing my lips at night so they're soft the next day! Also, it gives a cute shine if I don't feel like wearing any colored lip product during the day.

Shoot, I hope that wasn't too much, I just have a lot of favorites!! xD

Ooh ooh ooh! I've been wearing makeup for a while now, but I only got serious about making it look good a few months ago ago. Here's some good starter stuff.

  • Almay Eyeliner. This stuff is inexpensive and easy to use if you don't want to spend a lot of money on something you're experimenting with. Plus, Almay has really good deals. I just got a $4 off coupon and used it on a $5 product.
  • The NYX Nude on Nude palette would be a good starter palette for eyeshadow. Nudes are so versatile and look nice on any skin tone. In a few months I would consider "upgrading" to Urban Decay's Naked 2 Palette. Great pigmentation and lovely shades. I got mine in December and use it every day! I'm only about halfway through it. It's pricey, but spending $50 every 8-10 months on the only palette I need makes it justifiable.
  • Only looking for a few shades? Try Maybelline's Colour Tattoo. Stays on literally all day and since it's tacky, it helps your eyeliner stay on, too! Beautiful shades. I have Barely Branded and use it on days when I want a "barely there" look.
  • I think eyeshadow primers can be tough. I would suggest this $20 set from Urban Decay because it lets you mess around with different shades so you can find something you like.
  • Ecotools brush set. I don't have it yet but I really want it! I think it's probably all you need for now if you're just getting started.
  • If you're acne prone, try Neutrogena's skin-clearing foundation. They also have powder and whatnot, what whaaat! I suggest getting it at Walmart or the drugstore though, I believe it's cheaper. It's nice to know that you can layer on the makeup without making your acne worse.
  • For lipstick, I really love Revlon Lip Butter. I have a few shades. Goes on like a chapstick, stays on like a heavy duty lip colour. And there are so many lovely shades! Plus it's not expensive.

That's all I can think of for now! Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. :)

EDIT: Can't believe I forgot mascara! Bare Minerals' Flawless Definition mascara is pricier than most drugstore brands but so worth it. It doesn't clump and comes off super easily. I downgraded to Maybelline's Volum'Express a few weeks ago to save money and I'm so disappointed in it. :(
u/IAmASquishyBunny · 1 pointr/RandomActsofMakeup

So purple is definitely my fall color. I can't exactly wear purple lipstick every day though, so what I like to do is wear purple mascara. My current favorite is Rimmel London Extra Lash Pop. If I want it to look extra purple-y, I layer it over some clear mascara, I have an elf one that works well as the base. If I want just a hint of purple, I'll use it by itself or over a black mascara. I can't take any decent pictures right now, but this is a decent approximation of what it looks like on my lashes, color wise.

If I were to win, I'd like to get either this set of face masks since I tend to associate skincare and makeup - when I feel good about my skin, I like to play it up with makeup.

Otherwise, I'd like to try something like this Holika Holika BB cream

I'd like to tag /u/Purpl342 for being awesome, and also because her username is basically my fall color.

Happy Almost Birthday! There's just over a week now, I hope you have a lot of fun :)

u/howbadcanIbe · 2 pointsr/RandomActsofMakeup

hello, hello! And welcome, welcome!! (I swear I don't always speak doubly like that haha)
I am agreeing with ilessthanthreepugs when I say it really is the nicest sr I have found. Almost too nice for me probably lol
But I hope you love it as much as we do.
As someone who doesn't have a lot of product yet, I will recommend a bb cream. Since you're starting out, I will give you my first bb cream because though it's not an Asian one which I have now learned I absolutely LOVE, I do love this drugstore one too.
If you do have money to spend, I would recommend this one

BB creams are perfect for beginners, with a great mascara and cream blush.

The cream blushes I use are by L'Oreal I think ? And definitely Urban Decay

My favorite mascaras right now (I am always searching for new ones haha) are

Your face is a canvas and the make-up is like paint. Think about painting in layers if that helps.

That being said, here's my recommendation. You skin is your canvas so you gotta take care of it. Pay attention to your body/skin, everyone is different so use what is working for you. Exfoliate regularly, exfoliating helps clear up pores and scrub away dead skin. I do it daily, again do as much as your own skin needs to. My pores tend to clog easily so I try my best to keep it clean. I use something like this, just a slightly rougher bath sponge, squeeze a little face wash on it and lightly scrub - again this is what I do, your mileage may vary.

Regardless of how oily your skin is, moisturize it. If you have naturally oilier skin like me, use a lighter moisturizer (it feels lighter on your skin not as thick or creamy). conversely, use a heavier moisturizer if you tend to have dry skin. It doesn't necessarily have to be a "face moisturizer" product, lotions work also i've noticed. The point of all this is you want a clean and hydrated skin, it looks younger and healthier. I use, Aveeno's Men's After Shave Lotion. It get's two birds with one stone for me, aftershave plus helps keep my skin hydrated and is on the lighter side (won't feel greasy when it dries.)

The next layer in the painting would be concealer and foundation. Concealers are more pigmented "cover up" work. Using me again, i have slight rosatia/pinkness, concealers help neutralize out the redness to a more even skin tone. Foundation is a less pigmented but does the same thing essentially. Go to a Walgreen's or any drugstore and just look at the color samples. You'll want to color match to your neck so that your general face color blends in with your neck. Taking care of you skin takes time to get but when you get there you shouldn't need much concealer or foundation to even out your face. I like BB Cream No. 23, Natural Biege, matches my color fairly well.

You can pick either of those up or an equivalent product at any drugstore. People won't give you any grief, it's not too common but some males do buy coverup/concealers for acne breakouts so it shouldn't cause too much fuss to buy in person.

As far as applying blush, eyeshadow, liner brows ... the works, it's hard to type out and is best if shown to you. Beating a dead horse, watch the you tube videos and practice putting them on. You WILL get better. I did a quick look through amazon, this Shany Set seems like an okay kit. It has a various color pots to play/practice with. (color pot, the little containers that the actual make up sits in.) Your small round pots are your eyeshadows and the large round ones are your blushes. It looks like it comes with the applicators too, the fancy q-tip looking things are for eyeshadows and the bristle brush for blush. It also has the standard black and brown pencil eye liner, a pencil lip liner, lipstick and some nailpolish.

When it's all said and done, you've read all that you can or watched all the videos you've cared to watch. My best advice I can give you is take care of your skin and practice. Keep putting it on, get a feel for it and learn how certain things get applied. Eyeliner for example, you need to get used to the fact that there's something that close to your eye when you're trying to put it on. With time and practice it gets easier, your hand gets steadier and your eyes don't flinch as much.

Not my best nor my worst, but here's where i'm at on a typical day. http://i.imgur.com/C1vPsxg.jpg

Lastly, baby wipes or makeup remover wipes is good for taking it all off and these on a cotton swab is good to remove eyeliner without any trace.

Edit: words and links

u/daisyismydog · 1 pointr/RandomActsofMakeup

Hi Patti! Wow, okay, I definitely felt the excitement from reading this post... I think I read it a little bit faster in my head due to the word EMERGENCY! :)

Edit: So I went with option #2 and shopped off Amazon because I <3 Amazon :P

  • L'Oreal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Makeup in Natural Beige - $8.97
  • Revlon Custom Eyes Shadow and Liner, Beach Beauty - $5.33 + free shipping through seller NIRAD71065
  • Blistex moisturizer, Simple and Sensitive - $1.99
  • Maybelline New York Baby Lips Moisturizing Lip Balm, Peach Kiss - $2.97

    Total: $19.26

    Example makeup routine:

  • Use the moisturizer I had as part of my skincare routine as a primer.
  • Apply L'Oreal foundation with my fingers.
  • Mix the Revlon eyeshadow/eyeliner with the Blistex moisturizer to create a tinted brow gel and then use to fill in my brows.
  • Apply eyeshadow with the little foam brush that comes with the Revlon palette.
  • Mix water with the Revlon eyeshadow/eyeliner palette to create liquid eyeliner. Apply with the little foam brush.
  • Coat index finger in a little bit of Blistex moisturizer and take eyelashes between thumb and index finger to make them shiny. Press upwards to curl.
  • Use a tiny amount of the Maybelline Baby Lips as blush.
  • Apply Maybelline Baby Lips to lips. If desired, add Blistex moisturizer over it for a lip gloss effect.

Okay, so lots of improvising in my routine, but I covered it all! If I'm lucky enough to win (crosses fingers), I'd love prize option #2 for the gift card and I'm in the US.

I think I included everything! This was super fun and now I have a drugstore makeup survival plan! Thanks for hosting :)

(Part 2/2)

Face:

Foundation - Nars, Giorgio Armani, L'Oreal, and Elf cosmetics (Elf is one of the cheapest and best drugstore foundation out there!) have really good ones!!! ...If you want something that makes you glow, get a sheer coverage foundation ...apply primer under and then some liquid highlight before applying the foundation - trust me, you will glow!!!

Concealer - Nars is the best or you can even try another drugstore holy grail that is cheaper by Maybelline to hide scars, breakouts or dark circles.

Blush - Milani has some really good blushes! So does Sephora brand or Makeup Forever.

Highlighter - this will definitely make you glow whenever the light touches your face!!!! Hahah, MAC and Anastasia Beverley Hills has amazing highlights. Wet N Wild also has very cheap highlights for like $3-5 that are blindingly glowing if you spray some MAC fix plus on your brush and then go in with the highlighter!

Makeup tools:

Really good to have some starter ones to practice with and they make your makeup look better + you waste less makeup.

Elf cosmetics and Real Techniques has some amazing starter brushes... the eyeshadow brush set and the face brush set by Real Techniques is really good for the low price you make for it!

Perfume: Definitely go to Sephora and try out every one of them (sometimes Amazon has sales on luxury perfumes for less!).

Fashion: ASOS, Forever 21, Mango & Target has some really cute pieces of clothing. Check Pinterest and Instagram for inspiration!!! :)

Other: Get the men's Gillette razor has the other person mentioned!!! It is bomb! Haha... I use conditioner or coconut oil down there when I shave.... it's better than shaving cream and it prevents the itching and stuff! lol For legs, I use Nair Hair Remover Lotion (Amazon usually sells 3 a pack for like $15 - really cheap!!!) or Gilette shaving cream for women! Also, don't do this always ...it can damage your teeth, but once in awhile, it won't hurt your teeth... take baking soda and water, make a paste and brush your teeth with it... your teeth will have that instant whitening effect. Don't do this always, but you can definitely do this when you do to those fancy occasions and you gotta make your teeth look sparkling white! lol, works like a charm! :)

Hope that helps!

I'm a little late to the party, but I know how you feel. I grew up around all boys and had the reputation of being the dirtiest out of everyone. I don't feel like I "girl" very well either, but I've figured out a few steps that help.

It's hard to say just how much time I spend on this stuff daily, it varies a lot but I've tried to incorporate it in to my regular free time activities as much as possible. I always multi-task with fun activities. I listen to music or podcasts while doing my makeup or cleaning the house. I watch netflix while doing my hair or nails. This is my reward system and helps motivate me.

Makeup is cool, but smelling good makes my feel like I'm winning the girl game. After showering, I lotion up and add perfume oil behind my ears, my wrists and a little throughout my hair. My favorite perfume is Dorian

When it comes to hair, there's no real short cuts here, just trial and error. I use a shower cap and avoid getting my hair wet or washing it unless I have time to style afterwards. Wash Monday's and Thursday's with Dry Shampoo on off days when needed.

When it comes to makeup, I like to look for inspiration in women who have coloring similar to myself.

I feel most confident when my hair is freshly dyed black and my skin is smoothed out with BB Cream: Missha #13, my brows are filled in with brow powder: Anastasia, my lashes are curled, and my lips are tinted with a red stain: Benetint

I'm also really fond of epilating in place of shaving or waxing.

Still feel like a hot mess when it comes to dressing well, but I'm working on that.

u/Urethra_Xtreem · 1 pointr/muacjdiscussion

If your skin tone is on the lighter side then Asian BB creams are your friend. They come in a limited color selection and mostly in light shades but they are totally awesome!

My HG is the Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream. It’s hella cheap but great coverage and glowy. I do set with powder to make it last though.

I used to use the Skin79 Beblesh Balm but it’s a little grey tinged. But I got compliments on my skin most times I wore this. Very moisturizing and you get a lot of bang for your buck. Took me forever to go through it.

IT Cosmetics CC cream has a better shade selection (not huge but better than Asian BBs) but it’s going to cost more. Same with Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer. Both formulas are very silky and easy to blend. The Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer comes in an oil free version as well.

u/futurehennahead · 2 pointsr/AsianBeauty

(FOR FUTURE REFERENCE, THESE LINKS ARE THE OLD VERSION) EDIT: The old line is being discontinued.
That's funny - because I looked back at the Amazon Order I made and the IOPE website...they all list it as "XP" and have SPF50 in the description, Amazon doesn't add to the name, IOPE does write "Broad Spectrum" on their website, but I think that Peach and Lily is the only one to throw in the word "sunblock"! I'm pretty sure it's the same item though. It's their only Air Cushion XP.

NEW 2016 4th GENERATION VERSION: The new line is still super new still. Someone told me about it when I was asking about IOPE recently, and when you google "IOPE Cushion 4th generation 2016" blogs come up, but theyre hard to find swatches and reviews of because theyre so new. Here they are on Tester Korea. And omg they are on Amazon !

  • HERE IS A GOLDMINE OF SWATCHES AND COMMENTS FOR THE NEW CUSHION!

What was handy was clicking on the +1 of the images on this listing - there are super handy swatches.

One of the biggest changes is that they added a "W21" and "W23" which are darker, yellower. I'm yellow-neutral...(olive?!) so I'm always wary of going toooo yellow. But because it's a cushion and sheerer than swatches, maybe the yellow might not be so bad. And it could be that the W21 is a better match for you, depending on how yellow you are!

Just FYI from what I was reading online, you might want to look on youtube and watch people put on the different finishes. I read online that some people complained that the Natural Glow lines were TOO sheer&dewy! But it really depends on your skin needs.

...I will be shopping with you too! I really want to see if the W23 fits my NC25 skin better. Thanks for asking your question - now I know what cushion I can look forward to trying!

This is probably something you wouldn't have considered before, but I am a big fan of my Korean BB creams (they are vastly different than American BBs or shall I say orange greasy tinted moisturiser posers!) I like that they are like a flexible foundation and that the coverage is very adjustable if you use a damp beauty blender. Here is my album of just some of the BBs I've tried, but looking at you, I think you might like the feel of Missha Perfect Cover in #13. It works for very light skin tones like yours, it's neutral, and I found it does a great job concealing redness. Also it doesn't appear cakey because it's more moisturising than a plain foundation. You can see this blog post comparing different ones on a paler skintone than mine and see how they look. Since you can find a travel size on Amazon for $8, it's worth a shot :)

u/rawwwrcaitmonster · 2 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

Not drugstore, but on a drugstore budget: I love Holika Holika's Essential Petit BB cream (That's the one in the orange tube). This is a Korean BB cream, which I like a lot better than any drugstore brand, and find that it actually helps my skin. I apply it with a foundation brush and then make it more matte with a blending sponge, and I find a slightly-larger-than-pea-sized amount is great coverage for me. It also builds nicely if you have an area that needs more coverage. The Essential version is pretty pale, which I like in the winter, and then I usually switch to the Pore Clearing (blue tube) in the summer; I find it matches my skin when I have a tan. Hope it helps!

I live in Florida with oily, acne-prone skin. I use mostly AB, but there are some western products that I haven't been able to find better replacements for. Here's my oil-conscious morning routine:

  • Cleanse with sulfur soap. I'm currently testing this out on my acne and recently switched from Cosrx's Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser.

  • Tone with Cosrx Natural Bha Skin Returning A-sol.

  • Reduce excess sebum with Cosrx Bha Blackhead Power Liquid 2-3 times per week. I find that this helps keep my pores clean and reduces oil production.

  • (After waiting 20 minutes) Protect with Biore UV Aqua Rich sunscreen.

  • Moisturize and prime with Nivea Men Sensitive Skin After Shave Balm, which is seriously the best makeup primer I have ever used. Possibly also the cheapest. Feels like nothing on my face, yet allows makeup to stay on all day. Definitely one of my HGs.

  • Color correct with Missha Magic Cushion. It's lightweight, provides good coverage, stays on and doesn't get cakey.

  • And, if I know that I'm going to be outside or busy all day, I'll spray on Skindinavia's Makeup Finishing Spray, which works better than powder and doesn't dry out my skin.

You've already gotten better fashion advice than I can give, so I'll stick with skin care. My skin is also very dry and sensitive, so I've given this a lot of thought and research.

Number 1 is SUNSCREEN. I just got this Biore KAO JAPAN AQUA RICH Sarasara SPF50+/PA++++ 50g Sunscreen on the advice of /r/AsianBeauty and I'm in love with it. It's light and watery, not greasy like Western sunscreen tends to be! I'm happy to wear it every day. Pleasant light citrus scent, not copper tone coconut butt. It's awesome.

You need sunscreen because you should start exfoliating. Try a chemical exfoliant, they're more gentle. St. Ives makes wipes with AHA, they're pretty effective for me. Got those because of the more widely known skincareaddiction sub. Don't exfoliate until you've got a sunscreen in your routine, it leaves your skin vulnerable to sun damage.

Remove that sunscreen at night with a good cleanser before you exfoliate, I use this KOSE Softy Mo Facial Cleansing Oil Speedy, 0.5 Pound to remove makeup and sunscreen then this
Cosrx Low Ph Good Morning Gel Cleanser 150ml to remove the first cleanser and correct the pH of my skin so the exfoliant will work. Again from Asian beauty, my new favorite place. They're both very gentle, so it's okay to use two. It's called "double cleansing". Oil cleansing will maybe be a bit weird to you, as it's just smearing grease on your face! But it dissolves makeup perfectly. That oil will emulsify when it hits water. It turns milky white. It's weird, but it works.

Then I use CeraVe in the tub for moisture and healing ceramides at night.

That's my routine, it's pretty cheap as far as these things go and I'm super happy with it. I wasn't seeing any results from exfoliating until I got that low pH cleanser, now I can really feel it working and see the difference it's making. It does sting a bit, I've got a touch of solar keratosis on my chest from not wearing sunblock when I was young and dumb. Wear sunblock! Every day!

I'm not much of a makeup person, but I do use this sometimes SKIN79 Snail Nutrition BB Cream (SPF45/PA+++) 40g. It's very moisturizing and evens out my splotchy skin. It has snail goo in it. Supposedly a good thing, idk. But that and some eye shadow or liner and mascara is how I fancy up.

If you're just starting out the biggest advice I can give you is go with ELF products. They're cheap, good products that won't break the bank if you decide all this make up stuff isn't for you.

When doing my face (i'll leave lips and eyeshadow out) here are the steps I take:
***

  1. Primer! Squeeze out a drop on your finger tip, then put a tiny bit on your forehead, chin, and each cheek and massage in. This will help your make up stay on, give it a nice even playing field and just makes it look so much better.

  2. Blemish Control. Now, you can use this pen if you want, a lot comes out at a time and can be a pain to cover up, I prefer this but you'll run out of the green first, but it's nice to have all the other colors for contouring. Put a bit of the green on any redness on your face, a little goes a long way! If you go with the contouring pallet, you can use the yellow to counteract any purple on your face (under your eyes) and you can use the purple to counteract any yellow on your face.

  3. Foundation! if you have a foundation you love, stick with it. I personally use Covergirl. And liquid or powder, it's totally up to you, I just work with liquid better. Now, how I do this is I put about a finger tip full on my forehead, chin, and each cheek. I use my hands to rub it in, UNLESS I have a lot of green on my face for blemishes, then I'll use a brush to rub it in. Go down your neck line a little, but not too much.

  4. Bronzer!. This will give you some dimension and added color to your face. I won't go over contouring, but if you're just doing every day make up, this great. I take a brush like this combine the four colors in the palette and go over my cheeks (below my cheek bones), run a little over my forehead and down my T-zone, and then I use the rest to go behind my ears and down my neck a little to create a blend.

  5. Blush! Now it's blush time! Get a bit on your brush, smile big and just do the apples of your cheeks while brushing a little towards your ears.

    And you're done!

    ***

I would suggest looking at ELF's actualy website, as some of the prices on Amazon were really high, plus they always have great coupons!

Happy Birthday!! :)) Those palettes are SO CUTE. I especially love the Galaxy Chic palette, because I'm super obsessed with outer space! (probably stemming from my childhood consisting of being completely absorbed in Sailor Moon and Science class ahahaha)

It's my party!

Oh goodness! I've been lusting over Misshas M Perfect Cover BB Cream in No 13 because I've read so much about it and how it's perfect for super pale gals (such as myself!)

OR

MACs Smoked Purple Lipstick! I've never had a MAC lipstick before but have allllllwaysss wanted one! I love how dark this shade is, with the red and purple tone. It reminds me of NARs Train Bleu, but cheaper! (I tried to find an amazon link, but they're all WAY more expensive on there than on the official site! Is that okay? D: )

u/housesnark · 1 pointr/RandomActsofMakeup

so fun! unfortunately I don't have a ton of super bright eyeshadows (and I did this at night), so I was pretty limited. but I did my best! here's my look. =)

I haven't seen anybody else do this, but here are the items I'd like if I win! nyx blush in taupe or skin79 snail bb cream. thank you so much, I loved doing my eyebrows!

u/Quixle · 2 pointsr/RandomActsofMakeup

I can understand that, you don't want to be work inappropriate. If you want a very heavy coverage, Tarte Amazonian Clay is great, though on the pricy side. I rarely wear that though, since it's quite heavy (I usually cut it with some lotion). And it might be a bit of a splurge for a college budget anyway.
I really like Missha Perfect Cover BB, which is cheaper and more of a medium coverage. It makes my skin look nicer, but doesn't give that flat look that a really heavy foundation can bring. I hope one of those BBs works for you! Are they the Skin79 samples?
Blush is a hard line for me to walk, I have to look overly pink when I first apply it, or it seems invisible in an hour. I really like CoverGirl blushes, actually. NYX has some nice ones too.

I love gel eyeliner, I use it a lot. I have trouble with pencils smudging and liquid coming off where my eye waters.

I use eyeshadow primer, eyeshadow, black gel eyeliner (Maybelline Eye Studio), mascara (benefit Bad Gal Lash), eyebrow stuff (currently a brow pencil), and undereye concealer and blush. If I put a BB or foundation on, I will try to contour too.

Whoo, this is so long, sorry! I have entered a few competitions, but not for awhile (laziness). I actually won one, it's really fun to test your skills!

You are so amazingly generous for doing this! I honestly have never owned anything YSL so I don't know about the quality but I've heard so many great things about it! This is my favourite lipstick of theirs I believe, I've been dying for a deep winter red! Best of luck to all you awesome ladies and thanks again to you and YSL Mystery Glammer! :)

Have you considered korean makeup? I am like you, I had really bad acne and makeup just exacerbated the flakiness that my acne produced. Once I got a better skincare routine and my skin started improving, I found I barely needed any makeup at all, so I looked into some k-beauty foundation and found amazing soft dewy results. The only issue is that the range of shades is pretty limited, so if you're decently tanned or darker they wouldn't work.

Two that I have and really like are the MISSHA Perfect Cover BB Cream and the MISSHA Magic Cushion. I purchased both of these on amazon for like 10$ each, and they are amazingly soft and light, and make my skin look very smooth!
The bb cream is SUPER dewy, and I don't need any highlighter with it, because it could easily go disco-ball if you doubled up on that. I like the magic cushion a lot for the portability, you need such a small amount of it and the sponge it comes with actually is perfect for dabbing on a very small amount of color correction. On days I need heavier correction I can just wet my BB and dab it in there, but generally the light sponge has been great for quick on the go. It also is more matte than the bb cream, but I like both for different reasons.

u/occhiolismanonymous · 5 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

Have you checked out 'thataylaa' on youtube? She has pale, oily skin and does really thorough, honest foundation reviews weekly. Plus she wears it for full day to show you how it settles and actually gets up close to show the texture of the foundation/her skin. I just bought one of her past raves on amazon here.
This isn't necessarily a matte finish and looks like the lightest shade might still have to be lightened for super fair folks. I only got it because the wear was beautiful and she only had to use the tiniest bit to get good coverage. (Broke college student here trying to stretch how long a tube of foundation lasts) I'm in the same boat as you- no foundation, primer, powder, setting spray, virgin sacrifice combo stops my makeup from slipping off my face 4 hours into the day. The closest I've ever come was using the MUFE Skin Equalizer Mattifying Primer.
Hope this at least sort of helps and good luck on your search!

I hope you feel better soon! I'd like to try this Pore Clearing Petit BB Cream and one of my favorite songs when I need cheering up is this one, (I am) The Love Addict by Lonely Forest. I love how upbeat it is and the lyrics are awesome.

Not a BB, but I am OBSESSED with Lumene Time Freeze CC Cream. I have similar skin concerns (fair skin w/pink undertones), and this cream is the best I've found. It's super matte, good SPF, minimal to moderate coverage, blends well, not sticky or greasy at all, and actually kinda smells good.

Also I truly do not know the difference between a BB and a CC cream.

u/aquamarine271 · 2 pointsr/SkincareAddiction

1. Cleanser -link - Remove dirt, really powerful. It has gotten rid of my blackheads, and I had a lot.

2. Exfoliator -link - Only whenever my skin can handle it. Will get rid of all of that flakey skin you have for a smooth finish. It'll make your skin 100% smooth without flakes after 1 use.

3. Essence -link - Skin treatment after exfoliator, replacement for toner. Repairs damaged skin as well and is good protection.

Finally, any Korean BB Cream that goes well with your skin tone. A good BB cream is protective tinted moisturizer to hide your imperfections. Asian BB Cream products are way superior than the American versions.

I would recommend this for you as good BB Creams if you're ever interested:

Choice One - Link - Whitening, Wrinkle Repair, Moisturizer, Tinted, Sunblock. This one is a bit stronger.

Choice Two - Link - Whitening, Wrinkle Repair, Moisturizer, Tinted, Sunblock. This one is more popular.

Welcome back and congrats on the new job! Graphic design seems like a very fun career. I'm curious as to what part of Maryland you live in as I'm a Marylander myself (although you don't have to say if you're not comfortable doing so!) Thanks for holding this contest :)

  1. I'm obsessed with Geek Chic Cosmetics eyeshadows. I love the intensity of the colors, and it's really easy for me to apply with a wet brush so they can double as eyeliner.

  2. Been wearing lipsticks more lately, as they're faster for me to go from out of bed to having a "look" for the day. For "normal" colors like red and pink, I like the texture of Revlon Ultimate Suede. Lately, though, I've been wearing weird indie colors like this teal lipstick.

  3. Sun protection is important, but my face is red and needs coverage! BB cream comes to my rescue and does both.

  4. I have the oiliest eyelids on the planet, so in order to use my beloved eyeshadows, I need a primer.

  5. Sounds ridiculous, but this little green concealer stick by Maybelline is great for covering my red spots.

I use dermacol foundation (Dermacol Make-up Cover - Water-Proof Hypoallergenic for all Skin Types, nr 208 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018UT5XRM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_.J3SBb5ZY0D5C) only on breakouts and it's fantastic. It's INCREDIBLY high coverage, which is great for people who don't want to look like they're wearing makeup-you use such a small amount that it's not very visible sitting on your skin. I'm pale as well, so underneath, I use jergens face tanner every morning to give a more uniform skin tone. It has never ever turned me orange or streaky- it's not even obvious, it matches my body tan perfectly. Good luck!

Hello! We are happy to have you here! (-:

Personally I like the Holika Holika Petit BB Cream in Clearing. It contains tea tree oil and SPF 30!

I wear it whenever I have redness or pimples and it provides lightweight coverage while neutralizing the redness.

I would suggest getting a setting powder if you decide to wear BB cream, either a translucent or skin tone one. Powder helps the BB cream stay in place and helps with oil control (-:

You look to be about as pale as I am! My favorite right now is MISSHA M Perfect Cover BB Cream (No.13 Bright Beige)- it goes on really well with a stippling brush or sponge. It still looks dewy hours after wearing it, feels pretty light, doesn't crease up weird, and can be layered so you often don't even need concealer (i have similar skin issues). Setting it with a setting spray or the famous Goss method(love this, duh) will keep whatever foundation you choose on all day.

I'm not really a big fan of any of the NYX foundations or concealers as they're too dark/yellow, and I've yet to find a drugstore foundation that isn't too yellow, but swatching never hurt anyone...

Tarte's "BB" primer is a little out of your price range but is nice if you feel like splurging. I always get matched with it when I go to sephora. You would need a concealer under it though, as it has lighter coverage.

I could do some swatches for you if you'd like! Just let me know!

u/WhattheNorris · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I don't wear makeup often because I'm honestly lazy, but I try to never ever leave the house without sunscreen! I use a lot of korean products, like my sunscreen and the BB cream I love.

I've been meaning to get a makeup bag so I can fill it with the stuff I own/will own at some point like: Makeup wipes, travel sunscreen, mascara, liquid eyeliner, bb cream, powder for finishing, set of travel brushes *edit TWEEZERS (I can't tell you how many days have been ruined by a single hair on my neck or some other weird place that I'm sure no one but me has ever noticed).

My favorite product right now is probably this lipstick which I never have the right occasion to wear.

**edit #2 I've also had acne for the last 7 years, which is finally and ever-so-slowly fading away now that I'm in my twenties, so I'm a bit picky when it comes to the makeup I put on my skin. I'm sure if I had flawless skin I'd experiment with makeup way more.

u/meagantron · 2 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

I personally just use a bb cream most of the time. I use this one. It kinda has a dewey finish, but I put a powder over it to make it matte, cause i dont really like the dewey finish myself. I usually dont spend a whole lot of money on anything but eyeshadow, and even then I'll search for a bargain. I've heard good things about these powders, they're what I'm going to try next. If you want more coverage foundation Rimmel also has a matte liquid foundation that I've heard good things about, and if you want to buy a little pricier foundation, I've heard fantastic things about the Kat Von D liquid foundations. I dont really have a lot of opinions on blush, I use the Coastal Scents 10 Blush palette.

Do you wear/want to wear a lot of eye shadow? If so, are you looking for neutral colors, or bright colorful colors?

u/zephyrlily · 3 pointsr/PaleMUA

Try Missha's #13. I mix #21 and #13 when I'm slightly more pink in the summer, otherwise just #13 alone is great. The formula is easy to mix, as well as incredibly forgiving to smearing it on your face like a savage when you're in a rush (like me) or using a beauty blender to build coverage (also me).

I used it as a sunscreen stand-in on a vacation once and never went back. There's a great pearly Missha primer too.

u/smartlypretty · 2 pointsr/AsianBeauty

I use an inexpensive primer I found on Amazon that I like better than Smashbox called Emori, not sure if it's AB or not.

My current routine (this is one week after I got the giant Tarte box with everything) is typically Skinfood Salmon concealer (my favorite concealer so far, creamier but stays, ousted Boiing), Aqua Petit Jelly BB in the lighter version- usually I use my fingers or one of those toothbrush brushes), Peripera or Etude tints as I mentioned with my ulta tinted balm, the TonyMoly powder which as I said blew me away, I have eyelash extensions so nothing there, and I have a cushion blush in a tube that I like a lot but I just got the other powder blush I mentioned. I also have and like the Missha cushion, but I like Aqua Petit Jelly more.

Waiting on this because I love this brand, it's a cotton candy setting spray?

Sorry that wasn't more enlightening but it has links :) I was just surprised to be AS entranced by AB makeup as I am by AB skincare because I was a MUA for a long time and have always been a product junkie and now I use my stupid expensive stuff on days I'm not going anywhere :O

ETA: I really have to check into eyeshadows now. I've kind of hit a wall because my whole face is handled, and I do want one of those TonyMoly bunny glosses!

Kryolan makes great white face paint.

There's also Cinema Secrets Clown White

What you're going to want to do is make sure you're starting with an exfoliated, moisturized face. Use a primer like Too Faced Primed and Poreless. I think the stuff does a wonderful job of filling in pores to create a smooth base for make up to adhere to. Don't glob on too much white grease paint. You can always add. It makes things more difficult when you use too much. You'll end up streaky and uneven. Apply with a good quality make up sponge so you don't end up with weird stippling.

Manic Panic makes a really great white pressed powder. Apply it over your creme make up base to get that opaque, flawless finish rather than the shiny, oily, finish most white face paints leave behind.

You can get the full sclera black contacts here.

u/lordwindykilt · 1 pointr/goth

My go-to is this foundation mix-in by Manic Panic:

Manic Panic Virgin Dreamtone Gothic Foundation Vampire White (1 fl oz) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004SUGXWC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_VEWGDbBFC8388

Unfortunately it doesn't work all on its own and has to be mixed with ordinary foundation, but if used this way, it works wonders. If you can find a good mousse foundation in your skintone (or lighter if preferred), mix an equal amount of the white with that on a beauty blender and then apply to your skin.

Of course, if you want more white, you can use more of the white stuff than normal foundation in your mixture.

Looks divine if topped with a white powder. :)

u/verbrendos · 3 pointsr/AsianBeauty

I'm interested in a foundation from amazon, but I'm not sure about the shade.
I'm yellow toned, and currently I'm using laneige pore control bb cushion #21, which is the same shade as other brands #23. Usually for Korean bb creams, #23 fits me perfectly.
If anyone used bb cream and an American foundation, I'd really appreciate advice on choosing the shade! :)

u/zeldas_stylist · 10 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

RAVE: I just recently switched over to Korean BB creams and have seen a noticeable difference in how good they are for my skin! I bought and am testing three:

  • Missha Perfect Cover BB - May be my new HG. My skin feels so nice wearing this, and it stays on perfectly all day. I wore it yesterday and ended up on a spontaneous hike after breakfast and my skin still looked nice!
  • SKIN79 Super+ Beblesh Balm Pretty much the only thing I am wearing today, and so far... so good!
  • Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB Cream - Actually still waiting on this one, but am excited to see if it is more bouncy/dewy than the other two.

I am really pumped all three of these (even the one I haven't tried). I have sensitive, fair, combo skin, and have always hated makeup that was too heavy for me. I think I may have solved my problem! AND they are cheap. So awesome.
u/AlaskanFeesh · 4 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

I love my Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream in No.13 Bright Beige. I'm NW10, and it fits my shade perfectly. My skin is slightly oily and sensitive. It's got decent coverage for a BB cream, and is very liquidy. It goes on satin and dries matte on my face. And for ~$10, it's hard to beat!

u/plinkityplonk · 1 pointr/MakeupAddiction

It sounds like we're a similar colour. I use this stuff for light-medium coverage http://www.amazon.com/MISSHA-Perfect-Cover-Cream-Milky/dp/B003HYPVM8 It looks dark in the amazon photos but I assure you shade number 13 it's wonderfully pale. have a look at it and see if it sounds good to you np.reddit.com/r/MakeupAddicts/comments/233jnt/review_missha_m_perfect_cover_bb_cream_no_13/? http://skinandtonics.com/missha-perfect-cover-bb-cream-review/

u/yuzuuno · 2 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

Oh man! That is pretty pale. I'm on the "darker" end of "light" shades, so I don't know much about foundations for the very fair. But my friend who is very pale recommends mixing in a white foundation (she uses this one). Maybe try that? Sorry I can't help very much xD

u/RondaSwanson · 3 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

I share your woes as a pale girl. I just bought the Manic Panic Foundation/Corrector in Virgin White off of Amazon and am very happy with it:

http://www.amazon.com/Manic-Panic-Virgin-Dreamtone-Foundation/dp/B004SUGXWC/ref=sr_1_14?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1407865966&sr=1-14

I mix it with my liquid foundation through, so if you're looking for something a little more pigmented that would blend better with a mousse, it looks like the Life's Entropy Foundation Elixir in white would do the trick. (Disclaimer: I haven't tried it yet):

http://shop.lifesentropy.com/collections/764502-face/products/8198466-foundation-elixir-white

Hope that helps! :)

I've been using Missha Perfect Cover #13 for over a year now, and I usually buy from Amazon using this link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003HYPVM8/

The most recent seller I bought from is Beauty Best LLC.

u/ediblesprysky · 12 pointsr/Youniqueamua

It's like the modern version of tinted moisturizer, sort of? Very common in Asian beauty—I think that's where they originated. Lighter coverage and more skincare-like than regular foundation, but definitely more makeup than skincare. I use this one as my everyday face product; friggin love it.

u/SwaggeredAndSuede · 2 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

I really liked the Miissha BB cream when I had it as well, but I recently bought Lumene Time Freeze CC cream and I actually like it a little better. I think it looks a little more natural on my skin.

u/beawesomewendy · 2 pointsr/AsianBeauty

Not a primer, but I've had great success using this Klairs cream for that purpose: https://www.amazon.com/KLAIRS-Illuminating-Supple-BB-Cream/dp/B00PGO5N0M

u/killtheghoul · 1 pointr/AsianBeauty

Hello! How do you feel about compact cushions? They don't offer the same amount of coverage as liquid foundations do (if that's what you normally use), but they do have better coverage than a tinted sunscreen.

I personally enjoy the IOPE Air Cushion XP, which is SPF 50+ and has vitamin E.

So far, I've purchased from this seller two times, it arrived quickly (and seemingly for a cheaper price than a lot of the amazon sellers are asking) and it's been legit both times. (Idk about the green one in particular, but I know that Skin79 has a real problem with fakes, so even though I trust this seller now, I'm still a little wary. Check the packaging before slathering, just in case!) Good luck! I hope it's a match for you!

u/[deleted] · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I want this because I've been wanting to try a BB cream forever. I'll probably end up buying one at some point. I have oily, acne prone skin, and I like products that help with it, while covering it at the same time. Some days I go bare faced anyway, but it would be fun to try something new. =)

u/Destinyx3 · 1 pointr/AsianBeauty

I go back and forth between using a primer and not, but I always use setting powder.

For reference, my skin type is Dehydrated/Combo leaning a little more towards oily. I use Skin79 Green BB Creme, Nivea After Shave Balm For Men (Non-AB) as a Primer, and Coty Air Spun Original (Non-AB) as a setting powder.

I have a desk job where I don't do much and generally wear lighter makeup, so usually I'll skip my primer. However, if I'm going out or planning to wear heavy makeup, I always do a primer, setting spray, and setting spray (just in case because of how oily my skin can get).

I'm planning on ditching my primer eventually and looking into Innisfree No Sebum Powder as my setting powder because of how highly recommended it is for oily people! I'll be eyeing this thread for primer recommendations :)

I suggest at least getting a setting powder and seeing if that does the trick. If not, try finding a primer that works for your skin and see if that help. If that doesn't work, add a setting spray and hopefully that should do the trick!

u/godcalledinsick · 1 pointr/PaleMUA

I have combination skin that's pale with pink undertones too. I switched from using a heavy foundation to a high coverage BB cream with amazing results. I just make sure to moisturize the dry areas before putting it on. Right now I'm using Missha BB cream in shade #13. It's really cheap and has lasted a long time- so cheap that even if it doesn't work for you, you're not out that much. Good luck!

u/tazend314 · 3 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

I love the manic panic one! People don't think much of manic panic when it comes to makeup but I found out about it from some pale girl blog and a lot of pale girls swear by it. It allows us to buy the correct undertone and then just lightening it instead of having to wear something yellow to get the Right shade or pink etc. it also make expensive makeup last longer and doesn't really mess with the formula at all. I just mix a little on the back of my hand or on a glass ashtray I bought as a mixing palette. here's the best link to it

I have combination skin and I like it haha. That one works fine with a beauty blender for me. I'm talking about this one. I find that the consistency is thicker but when I try to put it on with a beauty blender, it just sticks to it and doesn't spread as evenly on my face.

u/LexicanLuthor · 1 pointr/AskWomen

IDk how pale you are, but there is this, a foundation I discovered after my similarly pale-skinned friend recommended it to me.

here is a good before and after pic that echoes my experience (not my pic obvs)

u/linyiseating · 1 pointr/AsianBeauty

The [Klairs Illuminating Supple BB Cream] (https://www.amazon.com/KLAIRS-Illuminating-Supple-BB-Cream/dp/B00PGO5N0M) is apparently a fav of some of the SnailCast crew (AB podcast) but I'm waiting until my current BB cream runs out to try it.

Additionally, it might help if you use a mattifying primer before you put on your BB cream. I'm a huge fan of the [Smashbox Photo Finish Primer] (http://www.sephora.com/photo-finish-foundation-primer-P9889) - not AB though.

u/Aiota · 1 pointr/AsianBeauty

Sorry, kind of a long winded post based off of inexperience.

Skin Type: I believe I have dry skin, the only issues I have with my skin is flakey patches every once in a while, especially on my forehead and in between my eyebrows. I've also noticed under my eyebrow hairs! Ew! I've never had a problem with oil. Never MAC matched, my current foundation is Naked Skin 1.0 and it's way too dark.

Country/Climate I'm in: Illinois- weather changes all the time. Recently it has been very cool here.

Top Skin Concern: Dry skin. I consistantly have hormonal acne breakouts on my chin which are usually deep and don't have a head. I have a tendency to pick which I know is bad! :( I am currently on birthcontrol. I have redness on the sides of my nose. I also have dark circles under my eyes. The darkness may be caused my having thin skin under my eyes. I can literally see a blood vessel running under my eye!

Current Routine/Products I'm Using:
AM
Cerave knock off moisturizer in the tub

PM
yes to blueberries age refresh smoothing daily cleanser
Cerave knock off moisturizer in the tub
Yes to blueberries age refresh softening facial exfoiliator about once a week
yes to tomatoes clay mask when i remember (once very few weeks usually)

Occassionally I wear a face mask. They're usually cheapies from an asian grocery store. :)

I specifically am interested in incorporating a few more impactful products into my routine. I am almost done with my Cerave knock off moisturizer!
I lurked around and think I am going to get this sunscreen (Biore SARASARA UV Perfect Bright Milk SPF50 + pink bottle). I think I'd like to add 1 or 2 more products and see what I think.
Perhaps this eye cream for my dark under eye circles?

And perhaps this to replace my moisturizer.
I picked these out based off of HG posts, let me know what you guys think! I am interested in masks as well but the prices of the ones I've seen that are recommended kind of scare me off! :(

I have been looking at BB creams and am intersting in MISSHA #13 as was recommended from PaleMUA because I have strong pink undertones! here

u/misserinmay · 1 pointr/RandomActsofMakeup

Curiously, what kind of foundation are you looking for (matte, full coverage, etc.?) I trend towards BB Creams myself and I have this (which is lighter) and this (which is heavier), but both work pretty well. :)

Disclaimer: I'm a newbie, so they may not be the best options.

This one on Amazon is form a US-seller, this one is fulfilled by Amazon for $0.46 more if you're more comfortable with that.

Other than that, I went through all the US-based sellers in the list from the sidebar, and none seem to carry refills, though Soko Glam sells the cushion with case.

u/mr_jellyneck · 1 pointr/TheGirlSurvivalGuide

I agree. I've used Garnier's BB Cream and it's really no different from liquid foundation- it really dries my skin out defeating its whole purpose. I purchased a Korean BB cream from Amazon, Holika Holika brand, and I'm really impressed by it- anything I could say about it is covered in the great reviews its received.

Ladies, for the same price you're better off ordering something from Korea. They take their BB creams seriously.

u/MsYutai · 4 pointsr/AsianBeauty

You could try the Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream in #13 in the lightest shade-- it's definitely got a pink undertone but it's very pale.

Another option is the Skin 79 Green BB-- I tried this one and found it too pale for me, but pretty neutral in tone!

Can probably find samples of each on eBay so you can try before buying the full size.

u/RedRedBettie · 1 pointr/AsianBeauty

This is the one I use: https://www.amazon.com/Holika-Clearing-Petit-Control-Powder/dp/B0059NL39U

For me and for oily skin I think this is the best one. The other ones I tried were nice but probably better for normal or drier skin.

u/kerrykins · 2 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

Also!! Whenever I use a higher coverage foundation that doesn't quite match, I mix the foundation with manic panic's white foundation. This makes pretty much any foundation workable :)

Missha BB cream is my personal favorite. It's got really nice medium dewey coverage, a squeezy tube, is relatively inexpensive, and has a nice SPF. My only complaint is that its fragranced.

u/eatgeeksleeprepeat · 2 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

I've used Manic Panic's white foundation (here on Amazon for $9) to lighten a few different foundations and I really like it. It looks naturally lighter and mixes in well. I didn't notice a change to the consistency or finish.

HEY! I wear a fuck ton of makeup, but I boycotted coverup because it started breaking me out. I use this and it is AWESOME! I have oily/ dry skin usually in some places and it is incredible at covering up both those things. And i usually just set it with a small bit of powder so it stays in place

u/alderfae · 1 pointr/MakeupAddiction

I just add a tiny bit of this to whatever foundation I am using and it lightens it up nicely. I'm very pale, and the undertones in most foundations never match my skin quite right.

I'm looking for a primer that goes well with [Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream.] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PGO5N0M/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A2ITVQXVLEC8P&psc=1). Do you guys notice a difference? By the way I'm a makeup noob lol.

Skin79 Super Plus BB Cream Green (in the green packaging) is a famous korean BB cream that is also very, very light and neutral. This is really comparable to Missha BB creams in 13 'milky beige' as far as the shade shade but would be less dewy and more long wearing.

Order This! It makes a HUGE difference. I can't tell what your skin tone is, so you might need it in 21 instead of 13.

Edit: to give you an idea, this is me with 21 on half of my face. It is full coverage without being heavy on your skin, but if you're at all oily, you might not like it as it does not have a matte finish.

u/kbrsuperstar · 5 pointsr/drugstoreMUA

I just got this Missha one today! It was too cheap to not get. I've never used MAC, but I would guess I'm around NW15? W=cool, right? I'm pink as hell (something I'm trying to fix with AB, haha). Anyway, I like it so far. I got shade 21, and I think it's light enough, though a little more neutral or yellow than I am, but it kind of cancels some of the pink.
