I don't know if you're going to get anything super high quality, but these are some I'd probably go for if I were in your situation. They're at several different price points:

$830

$1235

$1616

$1636

I think the 1616 is very good looking and might hold up better than some of the others. The 1636 actually has drawers in the bed frame making it possibly the best value out of these sets. I think whatever you do you should consider getting a center support for your bed. The one I've linked has 3 crossbars. I'd buy 2 packs of these to support either your box spring or bunkie board. You'll need one or the other. Let me know what you think of the ones I've picked out or if you'd like any more info on bed stuff.

u/GronamTheOx · 2 pointsr/Mid_Century

Are you open to vintage?

Most American and Canadian manufacturers in the mid-century era made tall as well as wide dressers. In the USA, you can choose what best fits your preferred look: Heywood-Wakefield made a number of modern lines including Encore (the biggest seller), Sculptura, Koh-i-Noor (my favorite; these are the big three blond-furniture lines), Fascination, Prophecy, Cadence, Cliff House, Danish Modern and Contessa. Kent Coffey made many styles including Perspecta. Broyhill is notable for their Brasilia and Sculptra lines.

There are so many choices, it's hard to put them all here. There's lots to research to find your preferred style.

The long-and-low look came over from Europe to the US with Danish Modern furniture, as I think most European customers preferred a freestanding wardrobe over a tall dresser.

Many old bedframes just need some tigtening of the hardware at the corners, and then put in a good mattress support system, something like this:

https://www.amazon.com/Glideaway-X-Support-Support-System-XS/dp/B004OT0S2I/ref=asc_df_B004OT0S2I/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=191927055053&hvpos=1o2&hvnetw=g&hvrand=12690765935161218701&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1018127&hvtargid=pla-366091252957&psc=1

Unfortunately, queen and king size beds were only invented at the end of the 1950s, and didn't become common until much later, so most of the vintage lines' largest bedframe size is a full.

I don't need double talk, I need this Sad but true story, Every night when i go to bed its not in a bed but on a couch. Long story short, I had a bed but when i moved it was an item that wasn't able to come with me. So after sleeping on the couch, it has began to droop, sink, break whatever you want to call it and these would help support me a bit. and i think /u/chrisrey89 needs this my reasoning? what would happen if /u/chrisrey89 were to fall down a cliff and break both legs, its dark, lonely, cold, no one for miles and miles! if only 911 could be called! wait what about his phone? he pulls it out of his pocket and what do you know his phone is smashed to bits. do you want to live forever with the knowledge that you could have bought him the phone case that saved his life. i could never live that down but if your cool with living with that guilt by all means move on to the next post. however if you want to be a hero, its all up to you!

Have you thought of a mattress support in the middle? Gets rid of sagging for a better sleep. Check out this on Amazon - which really helps your mattress, it could increase the life of your current mattress and is inexpensive. Kind of gives it more support and health - reduces sagging.

u/JustNilt · 2 pointsr/DIY

You can get a pretty basic frame and then screw that into the headboard. You could also build a frame to go into those slots. Either is fairly straightforward but the first option may mean screwing up the second option long-term.

Or you could do what a friend of mine die and fasten the headboard to the wall using drywall anchors and then just push the bed up to that.

Edit: The first option looks like this. You can also get an adaptor to convert from one to the other, which was news to me when I searched. That'd probably be your best bet.

u/Irishblood1986 · 1 pointr/battlestations

Nice setup, wish i could use that case but roommates are too much of a hazard to go open frame.

Not sure if its the photo or not but looks like your desk is bowing a little, with a span like that you might want to add a center support leg or grab a table stiffener.

u/backstgartist · 1 pointr/londonontario

Yep, this is the easiest and affordable solution. There are commercial versions available too but regular plywood cut to size is usually the best.
This is one of the commercially available types: https://www.amazon.ca/Unknown-Sagging-Chair-Support/dp/B00024JOVA

u/Wowiejr · 1 pointr/buildapcsales

To be clear, one Alex Supporting Two Linnmons? Probably fine... Depends on which size Linnmon you choose and your equipment. Longest I have is 47" and it is pretty sturdy for the amount of weight I put on it, but I wouldn't want to sit on it or anything...

Worst case scenario add a third leg to each Linnmon next to the Alex, to prevent slipping and add additional support. Probably unnecessary, and can be added later if you notice a problem.

Someone else mentioned this, if you need more support

Good luck!

u/weekendwoodhacker · 4 pointsr/woodworking

Use these and attach it to the outside of your frame like this. It looks like your cuts are perfectly set up for that situation.

u/09RaiderSFCRet · 1 pointr/DIY

I bought this for mine, it fit perfectly. www.amazon.com/dp/B01KXIUX2S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_QEzwDbAEKWF45

u/vscoy00 · 1 pointr/AskElectronics

Dude, or Dudet, thank you! This is exactly the ELI5 response I needed!

Much appreciated -- now let me show you the type of connector the power supply needs to have in order for the male piece on the couch to fit/work (not sure if there are polarity issues with this style connector?): https://www.amazon.com/Chair-Recliner-Switching-Supply-Transformer/dp/B00OBV3OWU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1498236066&sr=8-1&keywords=eeo+lift+chair+or+power+recliner+ac+dc+switching+power+supply

Second image down, the wire on the left. The female two prongs on the power supply itself match the wire I have going to the wall. The last step is being sure the connector on the wire coming from the power supply doesn't have polarity differences, but if it does determining what they are and how to match them. Make sense?

I got this one: Ergonomic Sleep C Shape Soft Tencel Maternity, Pregnancy, Nursing Pillow Body and Pain Relief Pillow with Case https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KLJQSQ4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_eROS92BzRtXtW

I really really love it. It's filled with bits of foam so it conforms to the body in exactly the right way. Plus it's only $40.

u/02012016 · 2 pointsr/RoomPorn

yea, matttress without boxspring might have a tendency to sag in places that are unsupported [depending on mattress construction], plywood is one option but might run the same risk of accumulating moisture, another avenue might be to get some plywood and cut into strips to use as slats (and if that is not sturdy enough you could afix additional feet to those supporting slats

may work

another commentor also mentioned that dessicants could be used between the mattress and the floor/support if you are in a highly humid environment.

its always important to take care of the things between you and the ground!

u/MattFromWork · 2 pointsr/buildapcsales

This is the correct take. Usually, any particle board over 60" will have problems with warping, especially with how much stuff people are putting on their desk tops. One way you can remedy this is to buy a table top stiffener or two and screw them into the bottom of the top, or buy a base that has built in supports running the length of the underside of the table.

u/Xbmxer · 3 pointsr/electrical

I’ve purchased these generic versions for two different chairs my parents had after their puppy chewed the old ones. They work great years later.

u/RearEchelon · 2 pointsr/howto

You need what's called a "stretcher" or "stiffener."

Take the top piece off.

Place it on the ground, upside-down, and put a book or something under either end and put some weight in the middle, like your knee or something (but not enough so that it breaks. You just want it to flatten out, or bend just a little bit the other way). Then screw in the stiffener.

u/AWildChance · 1 pointr/hardwareswap

Thats exactly what I was thinking, but there’s no way I would pay lmao

I found some glass that might be the same dimensions or bigger for $300 at amazon

u/whitcwa · 24 pointsr/whatisthisthing

It is a custom part. Contact the bed maker.

Can you replace it with an adjustable glide?

Or, as pizzasteak said, modify a square u-bolt to fit.

u/raiistar · 3 pointsr/battlestations

It's something like this

u/poopyface-tomatonose · 1 pointr/battlestations

You could also just screw a couple of table stiffeners under it. It won't be visible, won't bump your legs into it, and much easier than mounting something from the wall to your desk.

u/val319 · 1 pointr/fixit

Ok so cam Lock screws for furniture. Before buying you need to look at the headboard. These screw on one side. If that’s stripped you might want to do something else. Yes IKEA has them. IKEA Cam Lock Screw #118331 (12 Pack) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QYB3P9Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_5ioXDbS32XGZ5 you must confirm size

You can also get a battery that connects to it as well.

strut as in a structure support bolted under the countertop.
Can use something like this https://www.amazon.com/Regency-Stiffener-60-Table-Tops/dp/B01DOZDUEK.

I however used this since i had a old one lying around, just sanded it and repainted it to brown. drilled two holes at the end and bolted them to the underside of the Karlby. Length between the drawers is around 110cm.
