I hate to disagree with you m'lady, but I LOOOVE summer :) It's my favorite time of year for many reasons, but to keep it PC, I'll just suffice to say, my birthday is in the summer, we always take a summer vacation, and I hate being cold :)

1.) I do my best to beat the heat with some tasty adult beverages

2.) Picture above was taken while on my first trip to HAWAII :) Went to Honolulu for 10 days and it was certainly wonderful!

3.) I've made Garlic Crusted Rib-Eyes (sorry, first link I found) more than about any other thing I grill and it always makes me happy in the belly! I'd say that or Chicken Involtini. Both come from a Weber cookbook that is my favorite cookbook ever!

4.) I'd have to say my favorite lazy Sunday outfit has got to be some khaki shorts with a tank-top and flip flops :)

5.) I've had REAL butter beer! The stuff that J.K. Rowling herself helped perfect at Universal Studios. Let me just say, it really is wizardry!! Stuff is amazing!

6.) I'd say the closest friend I've made is /u/sillygirlsarah! Whether she knows it or not, she's become my quilting mentor/master and I've had fun getting to see all of her work. She's going to be assisting me with some quilting designs soon, she just doesn't know it yet :)

7.) My family and I just canned some pickled beets that are amazeballs! I am getting together with a friend next week to do another case or two of canning/pickling :) Probably do more beets, asparagus, and cauliflower!!

8.) Good mechanical pencils! I always have to have some of these, in both 0.7 and 0.5 mm (cause I'm weird like that and depending on the mood, I'll use one or the other). And because I love to draft house/landscaping/quilt stuff, graph paper is always something I had to have a few sheets of!

9.) Our fair has these friggen amazing scones that are to die for!! They are served hot with a dallop of butter and raspberry (my favorite ever) jam. My wife and I always get 5... you know, to bring home, but they never make it out. I always feel like I have to get a corn dog and elephant ear at the fair as well! Gee, I wonder why I can't lose any weight...

10.) I don't want to say goodbye to summer, especially with a song, so instead I'll link you to a song that I've pulled back out for my summer mix :) perhaps slightly NSFW (says the A word a few times) so no kiddos around :)

P.S. I’ll be doing whatever snow does in summer - Olaf 2016!

Field Notes OR Leuchtturm 1917. ^(There's going to be a dedicated Leuchtturm Bullet Journal design released some time next year.)

Leatherback Writer 2 ^(PM me your email address if you want a $5 discount referral code.)

Pilot Vanishing Point Fountain Pen ^(Pick a pen that you'll enjoy using.)

Keep it simple and portable because you'll want it on you all the time in order to rely on it.

>and am determined to start using this method and journaling January 1st, a resolution of sorts I guess.

The cool thing about bullet journaling is that you can start anytime, and you should! It took me a few days to adapt it to my own needs, so don't wait till Jan 1st. Do it as soon as you get your notebooks!

Don't print them… draw your own on a reusable surface. Your maps don't don't need to be super detailed.

Get a $12.00 flip mat and some wet erase markers and just sketch out the corridors to scale.

Another solution is a chessex map. If you're really going to get into the hobby then this is a longer-term solution than the flip mats.

A final option is to buy a roll of 1" grid paper and some sharpies, and draw your own.

All of these are cheaper than buying a projector or printing each map to a 1" grid scale.

Hi and welcome!

This big landscape pad has got to be one of the odd things on my wishlist. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B008YX94SY/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=78MMONCI4TLM&coliid=I3BRGVH8L3T654&psc=1

I never heard of such a thing until I saw it on Amazon. Hahaha!

Graph paper is great, but expensive. Good for all kinds of visual layout projects.

I keep one but I don't have any real structure to it. It's just my thoughts and ramblings. A few doodles, too. I don't have a schedule or anything. There are entries where I wrote every day and then nothing for a few weeks. I didn't want to see it as a chore so I write when I want to and don't write when I don't feel like it! I use field notes journals because they are small and convenient for me to keep with me all the time.

These are my favorite: Field Notes Cherry Graph 3-Pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ORZFPWC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_XfFqxbZETVW0G

When I fill one up I start another! I did this before pregnancy, too.

I use this paper!

I really like the reinforcement bit but the bad part is that it is double sided (4x4 grid on the front and 5x5 grid on the back) and I only use the back so it's a bit wasteful but it also means I don't have to worry about pens bleeding through so it's all good in the end

It is Life Clipper Class Note, made here in Japan. Ubiquitous here, but I don't know if it's available abroad, unfortunately...

When I used to draw paper maps for my games, I used 1-inch graph paper. Here is an Amazon link to the one I used.

The lack of reusability turned me off, though, so I found myself more recently using a Pathfinder battlemat which comes preruled with 1inch squares and 2 patterned dungeon floors (1 on each side).

u/qwicksilfer · 5 pointsr/EngineeringStudents

I always get it from Amazon the 200 sheet ones, and I usually get 3 of them at a time, so 600 sheets. They sell them for slightly cheaper per sheet if you buy the 500 sheet pads, but those get too big for me to lug around.

It's expensive though. No matter where you go, it's expensive :( Definitely do not go to the campus bookstore though. That's a total rip-off!
