24. LevelMatePRO Wireless Vehicle Leveling System

    Features:
  • LIVE THE LEVELMATE LIFE: We believe in the spirit of adventure, the joy of discovery, and the thrill getting far off the beaten path. We wanted to build a digital smartphone Bluetooth RV leveling tool that was capable and durable enough to handle the task. It's time to leave the old bubble leveler at home and get your vehicle onto solid ground with the palm of our hand. This essential rv accessory will save you time and let you head as fast as possible to the lake, trail, or your easy chair.
  • THE ONLY PATENTED BLUETOOTH RV LEVELING TOOL: LevelMate's patented rv leveling system features a 3-axis digital accelorometer to accurately calculate angles and high requirements. This means that the leveling device will not only tell you how far off you are, but how to correct it. Each unit is temperature calibrated by hand to ensure that it functions in all different types of climates. Don't be compromised because of a competitor's subpar leveling technology and bluetooth connection.
  • SIMPLE TWO STEP SETUP: We built LevelMate's app to be as simple as it gets. A one-time setup procedure calibrates the device specifically to your RV. These calibrations are saved to the device, not your phone, allowing you to use our leveling system across multiple devices without any needed adjustments. It doesn't matter if you have a travel trailer or a Class B RV, the LevelMatePRO system will get you level, wherever you are.
  • APP DESIGNED FOR PEACE OF MIND: LevelMate utilizes the latest wireless bluetooth technology for simple connectivity and increased range. Once you've opened up your smartphone or device, you'll pop into the app and screens will display images and measurements required for the type of vehicle the system is configured for. From there, as you start to make your vehicle adjustments the app will adjust and show your leveling in real time. The app is continously being updated for new features.
  • MADE IN THE USA: LevelMate takes pride in building our American economy. It's the reason our products are only developed and produced in Ashville, NC. We believe in quality control and direct ownership over 100% of our product and process. Every LevelMatePRO is hand calibrated by our internal engineers, not from a Chinese production line. It's how we've always done it, and how we always will do it. It's time to #LevelUp.

First of, excellent choice of RV and truck.

I love my Andersen Magnetic Jack Blocks. You have the 6 point auto-leveling system from Lippert (Ground Control 3.0 I reckon) so you just attach these jack blocks to the round feet magnetically so you never have to 'center' the blocks when leveling.

LevelMate Pro is another item I have that I love. You can check if your level, side to side before even detaching. It's a must have as I shave a good 5-10 mins each time I setup and I'm always 100% perfectly level.

Purchase a Kingpin Lock for when your RV isn't hooked up to the truck so no one can steal it.

Purchase a regular lock to replace the lock pin on your 5th wheel hitch to prevent people from unhooking your RV when you're stopped. Yes, it's happened.

Consider getting the Furrion observation camera. Your RV is already pre-wired for it so it's crazy easy to install.

Which surge protector did you get? Progressive Industries makes really good units and they're quite popular.

Enjoy!

It could be a GPS tracking device. Most such devices are well-labeled as such, but some are not.

  • GPS trackers often are used with an external power source, such as one that you would attach to the internals of your car, in case it is stolen. The 7-pin port on the bottom of the device is used for power so that would support this theory (this is what lipo cables with different numbers of pins look like). Here is an example of a GPS tracker that still has the power cord attached. They almost always also have a battery power source (as yours does, as does the one in the link), so the power cord is optional.

  • GPS trackers sometimes have a "SOS" or "help" button, which broadcasts your location and contacts an emergency service. That is what the "TOUCH" button on the top face of your device looks like. Here is an example of a GPS tracker with a SOS button.

  • The dial on the side of your device could be used to adjust the strength of the signal it transmits. I have not found any examples of devices that do this, however.

I would say the next step is get an electronics screwdriver and disassemble it. Most GPS trackers require a monthly service fee in order to function (though some do not, and tie into the network via a sim card. Your device may have a SIM card inside it. Even if it does not, taking apart the device may give you more information about who made it.

The Botletics SimCom SIM7000G (global) shield for Arduino Uno is supported pretty well with example code for development. The GPS/GSM/LTE are all inside the module. The board has a high accuracy temp sensor. You would have to wire in an accelerometer, but could be easily done with the I2C bus.

u/HarlanCedeno · 1 pointr/nottheonion

Ok, you've just been promoted to Head of Marketing for my new company.

But I have an idea too.

I saw a wireless device on Amazon for the purpose of tracking breathing for Mindfullness.

What if we took that same technology and attached it to a vibrator? If it could track your breathing then it would not exactly which pulses and vibrations to use in all possible positions.

What do you think?

u/nathanweisser · 2 pointsr/videography

Oh ok, interesting. They kinda looked like the Trackr Pixel which is why I asked

u/throwyourfootawayy · 1 pointr/gadgets

I need advice on portable GPS, the ones that work with a sim card. Are they useful and reliable? I’m thinking on getting this one or something similar. Thanks!

u/[deleted] · 2 pointsr/arduino

Please don't use that shield. 2G tech is dead in the US. The only device I have found that is future proof is this guy: https://www.amazon.com/Botletics-SIM7000-Cellular-Antenna-SIM7000A/dp/B07H3XKNLH/ref=sxts_b2b_ccp_search_reorder?keywords=sim7000a&pd_rd_i=B07H3XKNLH&pd_rd_r=fa22f24c-ed2a-431e-bfd8-2b929cb54ae8&pd_rd_w=68sYc&pd_rd_wg=yinfU&pf_rd_p=a7bfb983-e674-4caa-917b-596cc469ad1f&pf_rd_r=DZFYXZZA36S33EP519F6&qid=1566335795&s=gateway

Has LTE CAT-M1 and/or NB-IoT so you should be set for the foreseeable future. If you use hologram SIMs you can send a SMS over TCP and not pay the 20cents per SMS. I can help with this if you need some guidance.

If anyone knows of any other shields available that do LTE-M or NB-IOT I would love to see them.

u/AmericaWet · 3 pointsr/IllegalLifeProTips

You’re right, my apologies. Let’s take a look at the second result.

My point is, there’s no reason to reinvent the wheel. These devices already exist, and already work. I didn’t read the reviews on the first result, but an amazon search for gps tracker gives over 7000 results. doing the research to find a good tracker would almost certainly take insignificant fractions of the time it would take to learn how to build one.

u/tyzbit · 4 pointsr/motorcycles

I have a Trak-4 and it works well. It gets a signal inside my garage and seems pretty reliable, plus the battery lasts 2-3 months before you have to charge it up. I mounted it inside my side case.

u/cancercuressmoking · 1 pointr/CatAdvice

I just bought this one a few weeks ago:

https://www.amazon.com/Trax-Play-Upgraded-Outdoor-Children/dp/B01F77ENBW

It's a bit large for a kitten though. My guy is 1.5 years old and it's a bit bulky. But it works great, really shows where he goes.

u/Sr_Moreno · 3 pointsr/Scotland

Phone reception is patchy in the Highlands, but generally decent. The chances are that if you don't get a signal in one place, you'll just have to drive a short distance before you pick it up again. £15/day for a sat nav unit sounds ridiculous, especially when you can [pick up these for £90](http://www.amazon.co.uk/Garmin-1340-Widescreen-Western-Europe/dp/B0021L9BJC/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1311439541&sr=1-1 "I've got one and it's pretty decent, although confused about some one-way streets, so watch the signs!" ), and that'll cover any holidays in Europe you may take.

u/thesqrtofminusone · 2 pointsr/GoRVing

Yep! It worked flawlessly over the weekend: LevelMatePro

Used in tandem with these leveling blocks (I think the most common supplier is Anderson) meant I could watch the trailer become level as the wheels rolled over the blocks.

I also got to try my TPMS setup to all 8 wheels, tow vehicle and trailer. Nice peace of mind knowing temp and pressure (my truck has it but I wanted to see data all from the same system).

u/Sengura · 1 pointr/videos

I wanted to purchase this to put in my safe in case the contents inside ever get stolen, but I read in the reviews and questions that you do need to pay $50 to set up a service and then another 20/30$ a month in order to be able to track it on your phone/computer.

If I could find a way to track it for free, I'd buy it.

u/Cherryapplefox · 521 pointsr/relationship_advice

Buy your daughter a cute stuffed animal have her promise to keep it with her at all times. Put one of these bad boys into it with access to it in a descret manner. Battery life says it's about 14 days just keep it charged.

Doesn't have to be a stuffed animal because you can hide it anywhere. Just something she will keep with her that won't raise any bells for your ex.

Might seem too over protective but with his actions and words I think it would be a good investment.

u/AmateurSparky · 1 pointr/HomeImprovement

I believe he's referring to something along the lines of a line tracer. You can get tone generators cheaper, but they require you to connect to the wire somewhere in the circuit. If you're going this route, you can just as easily turn the breaker off since you know which circuit is in the way. OP is referring to locating unknown wires in a wall, which would require more expensive equipment.

u/bmlbytes · 6 pointsr/WranglerYJ

Here's the tracker I used.

All you need is a cheap pre-paid GSM data plan. Here's the plan I use. Put the minimum amounts of minutes, data, and text messaging on it (you do need all 3). The carrier does need to support 2G, which is becoming more rare these days. That's why I chose US Mobile.

All you do is call the number assigned to the tracker. It will text you back the GPS coordinates of the vehicle.

It has a built-in battery, so even if the Jeep's battery is removed, it will still be able to work.

u/ep260 · 2 pointsr/whatisthisthing

You're right, it is a GPS tracker. It is the Amber Alert GPS, here is a website with the image of the device and talks about GPS trackers.
Edit: Here is the Amazon listing as well

u/iHelix150 · -1 pointsr/AskReddit

Celebrity- doesn't matter. Whichever will be most resourceful (a Mythbuster or Les Stroud perhaps) or whoever will pay me the most for saving them.

Item: A 406MHz Personal Locator Beacon with GPS

Why: because when I get stuck, I just flip up the antenna, push the button, and within 5 minutes NOAA knows where I am and rescue is on the way. Then for the few days it takes for rescue to arrive I can hear lots of cool stories and learn survival shit from the celebrity (or get paid a lot when I get back home).

u/ImaginaryCheetah · 2 pointsr/Locksmith

do they sell the external puck locks for slider doors over wherever you are?

https://www.amazon.com/Master-Lock-Shackle-Padlocks-770-6271KA/dp/B07KV45K8P/

looks like crap as an after-market add on, factory work trucks in the us have the ears on the doors you can put just the lock over.

i feel like this is a super obvious suggestion to a locksmith forum, so, apologies :)

also, old school club for the steering wheel?

https://www.amazon.com/Sala-Ctr-Stainless-Steering-Universal-Security/dp/B07M8HMF3D/

again, feels silly offering rudimentary advice to this forum.

covert GPS tracker could be installed into any of the body cavities behind a service panel in the back door or rear fender where you can grab the 12v power to keep the battery charged. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0753LC2DQ/

This is one of the better ones out there but the instructions for all of these devices are all a bit Park understand. These are all made in China that I've seen and the translations aren't exactly wonderful.

Little bit of a learning curve but the basic feature is if you call the SIM card number it will send you the GPS coordinates of the device and the bike.

u/brancasterr · 1 pointr/drones

Also, take a peek at the reviews on the second one you listed http://www.amazon.com/Spy-Spot-Investigations-Tracking-Enduro-pro/dp/B0085C9NLW

Some are saying that there are hidden usage fees. It appears that one works on a SIM as well.

I don't see many options that don't require GSM services to relay the GPS data.

u/lispychicken · 1 pointr/drones

I am very interested in this myself as I am likely about to drop over 1k on a new quad.. and I really, really don't want to lose it.

I started looking yesterday, and every GPS tracking unit I find is expensive and/or has a ridiculous monthly fee attached to it.. ridiculous like $50 + per month!

Things I noticed when I found some decent units - some didnt work on GPS at all, but instead required a cell tower.. you want GPS, not GPSR (which is a wireless routing protocol)

Options I've found:

If she's alone during the day, that's no longer safe for her. If someone is there but she is sneaking out there are a couple of steps you can take. The black mat the /u/Malachite6 mentions is a quick and easy one. You can also install a lock either up high, or down low where it's out of her line of sight but others can easily reach. If she's alone, locking her in is a bad idea in case of an emergency. You can put an alarm on her door. You can also put a tracker on her in case she gets lost.

Truly though, wandering off is usually the point where a secure living situation needs to be taken seriously.

u/tasmanian101 · 1 pointr/vandwellers

You need a sim card so the GPS can update you realtime with the location, and you can issue it commands too; if you set it up you could remote kill the fuel pump relay. https://www.usmobile.com/blog/sim-gps/

You'll need to install a gps tracker of your choice. I would not recommend an ODB plug, thieves can easily remove these. You will want to install and hide a GSM gps tracker somewhere. You will also likely want to install and wire the GPS up to its own battery source, as it will drain your starting battery over time. If you get a rechargeable tracker, you likely will get out of the habit of charging / using it. If you beef up your battery with a second in parallel or drive it every 1-3 days, or have solar; you don't need isolated power. If you do install a smaller battery for the GPS, do think about using a diode to allow power from your alternator to charge the second battery, but to keep it from discharging your starting battery.

Or if your not so much a DIY kinda person; buy an asset tracker and pay a monthly fee.

Leveling can be a pain and was the only thing that made me cringe when we took off for a RV weekend. I can’t stand an unlevel RV.
Here is what I did and now love leveling.

This will get you within a 1/2 inch of level but most of the time dead on

  1. Use these (each block is 1 inch of height increase.)

  2. Buy and install this install will require you to get your RV level, but take the time and get it dead on. I used a counter, the floor and the inside of the fridge to get my measurements which all seemed to be extremely close. None the less, take your time and get it level then install the Level Mate Pro the instructions walk your perfectly through the process. Leveling took the longest but I completed install in about an hour.

Once installed you are ready to go, now level your RV in less that 10 minutes!

    Edit:

My point is the old fashion way is great but with the level pro it tells you how far out of level you are, thereby you know how many blocks to use THE FIRST TIME (each block is one inch). When you pull in to your site, the Level Pro will tell you exactly which side and how far (in inches) you are out of level. Pull forward a few inches, drop down your blocks where you need them Level pro told you which side and how many, 2 inches out passenger? Then stack two blocks passenger side and roll up on them. Then crank your tongue until the level pro says you are level front to back - done!

But hey to each their own, just gave my input on what I find to work exceptionally well :-)
