For those interested, here is the process I follow. This is the second skull I've done and both have turned out nicely. I know it looks like a lot of work at face value, and there is a lot of time that goes into it, but I was super nervous the first time I tried this, did a lot of research on how to do euro mounts and ultimately almost bailed out and paid someone $150 to do it for me. I ended up sticking it out and am glad I did both times. I know it's cliche, but if I can do this, anyone can do it and there is an immense amount of self pride that you get from seeing it hanging on your wall. Good luck and I look forward to seeing pictures of others who attempt to do their own DIY euro mount!

  1. Using your favorite knife or utility knife remove the hide from the deer skull. I find it best to pull the hide away from the skull while making small slices where the hide is still connected to the skull. But use whatever means you like so long as you get the hide removed.
  2. Once the skin is removed, I typically start working on removing the lower jaw and tongue. Slowly start pulling the bottom jaw open and cut away at the tendons and meat that give you resistance. Eventually the lower jaw should completely give way and separate from the skull.
  3. With the lower jaw removed I next turn my focus to removing the eyeballs. Typically I will start by cutting away at the fatty waxy substance behind the eye socket. Once you have most of that stuff removed, start pushing on the eyeball from behind, trying to force it out through the front of the skull. As you're pushing, try to cut away at the tissue around the eye to release it from the socket. Eventually you'll be able to pop the eyeball out and cut away the remaining tissue and nerves.
  4. Once you've removed both eyeballs it's time to move onto the brain. Depending on your budget and patience you can handle this one of two ways. The first time I just used a combination of picks and knives to dig the brain matter out of the brain cavity. The second time around I ordered the RaptoRazor Scrambler (link below) which is essentially a drill bit that you string up with weed eater string. Using this tool you can simply pour water into the brain cavity, mix it up with the scrambler, and pour it out. It took me approximately 4 to 5 cycles of this to get the brain cavity completely cleaned. But as soon as the water begins to pour clear you're done.
  5. Now that the brain and eyeballs have been removed from the skull use a combination of knives and picks to get as much meat and cartilage off the skull as possible. Pay extra attention in detail to the nasal cavity as the bones are delicate and break easily, but there is so much cartilage to be removed.
  6. Once you're satisfied and have removed as much meat and cartilage as possible it's time to boil the skull. I use an outdoor turkey fryer with an old stock pot. Add a box of baking soda to the pot of water and bring to a simmer just below a boil and let your skull simmer for 45 minutes to an hour. I used a 2'x4' to wedge my antlers do that they did not submerge in the water.
  7. Remove the skull from the water and remove any remaining meat and cartilage using picks, pliers, and a steel brush off you have one available. Just be careful not to gouge the skull.
  8. At this point you can optionally remove the ear bones by prying them out with a flat head screw driver. This will remove a good chunk of meat that can be hard to get to any other way. Some folks like the look with the ear bones but it's entirely up to you.
  9. Place the skull back into the simmering water for 25 to 35 minutes. While the skull is simmering, fill a large cooler or tub with hot water (as hot as your hands can stand to be submerged in) and squirt a lot of dawn dish soap in.
  10. Remove the skull from the pot and immediately submerge it into the water dish soap solution. Using an air compressor, submerge the skull and air nozzle and spray over the entire surface and into all cavities of the skull. This simulates a pressure washer and the dish soap helps to de-grease the skull while also removing the bits and pieces of hard to reach meat.

Some folks will use a pressure washer instead of steps 9 and 10, but I prefer this method as it removes the grease which can cause the skull to yellow over time.

  11. Let your skull dry over night (or set it in front of a space heater for a half hour or so) to ensure its dried thoroughly.

At this point your skull can be mounted if you are satisfied with the appearance. The remaining steps are my preference and help with the cosmetics only.

  12. Bleach your skull. You can order these products off of Amazon (links below), but I just go to the local Sally Beauty Supply. Make sure to wear gloves, eye protection, and a mask for this part as the bleach mixture can be relatively strong and caustic. Tape off the antlers with masking or painters tape to the brow tines in order to protect the antlers from the bleaching mixture. Mix Salon Care 40 Volume Developer Creme with Salon Care Quick White Powder Lightener until it's roughly the consistency of a milk shake and then paint the skull and cavities with the mixture. I used an old tooth brush to cover the inside of the brain cavity and dumped some extra in their along with the nasal cavity.

Once the skull is entirely covered, wrap the entire thing in Saran wrap and place in front of a space heater. The heat is necessary to activate the bleaching agent. Heat the skull for about an hour, rotating every 10 minutes or so to ensure even heating.

While the skull is heating, prepare a new cooler full of hot water; no soap this time. Once the skull had been heated, cut the Saran wrap and submerge the skull to the base of the antlers and use your air compressor to bubble the surface and cavities again to remove the bleach and clean the skull.

Let the skull dry thoroughly. As the skull dries out will lighten up, but if you're unsatisfied with the color you can repeat the cleaning process as needed.

  13. After the skull has dried you should have a beautiful euro mount ready to go. This last step is a personal preference, but I usually take a cherry or colonial wood stain, dip a rag in it and rub the antlers down to darken them back up. BE CAREFUL TO NOT DRIP THE STAIN ON THE NEWLY BLEACHED SKULL.

This also brings out a lot of unseen character in the antlers. Let the stain set for 10 minutes or so and wipe them down with a clean dry cloth.

Now you should have a beautiful skull with a nice, dark rack ready to mount. My mount of choice is the Walnut Hollow Country Solid Wood Deluxe Euro Skull Display Kit from Amazon.

I love the desk you picked out! I found a lot of nice acrylic make up displays on amazon (like this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002ZNJJLQ/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i02?ie=UTF8&psc=1). Also if she has a lot of eyeshadow palettes, I've found large letter holders to be useful when storing them (I own this one but I do wish it were a bit larger :http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003VRT0DW/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). Lastly, you may want to consider a nail polish rack as an added feature that's fairly inexpensive to make. Here is a great tutorial: http://dulcecandy.com/2012/03/diy-nail-polish-rack.html

Good Luck! I'm sure she will love it no matter what; it is a very sweet gesture.

Yay! Here's a question I can answer. Iv'e been dying to tell somebody everything i've learned after losing at least 5 inches of hair to bleaching.

There is absolutely no way to naturally lighten your hair. In fact, you should steer clear of natural lightening because it is harder to control the strength of your mixture. However, there is hope!

Let you hair absorb as much coconut oil as possible beforehand. Buy quality bleach (i'm using Wella and it's great) and mix it 50/50 with shampoo. This makes it easier to spread and gentler; It's called a bleach bath. Leave it on for 10-20 minutes. You can repeat this process until your hair is light enough, don't try to bleach it all in one go. Wash it out with some serious shampoo and do a protein deep conditioning treatment and then a moisturizing deep conditioner. Follow that up with a leave-in moisturizer and an oil seal. Now that your hair is lightened, you can color it with henna.

Henna for Hair is amazing for information on how use henna. Be sure to start with pure henna powder. Henna is a great conditioning treatment, I love using it on my hair and have never had a problem with it interfering with bleach or any other chemicals. Henna would probably be a great conditioner directly after bleach. I'm going to try it when my hair is healthy enough to bleach again.

Cassia is another way to color hair naturally. However, it really only brings out blond tones. You can learn more about it on Henna for Hair.

Honestly I had this same problem a few weeks ago, and did all of these things but none worked for me. I strongly recommend Color Oops, which is gentle on your hair and pretty much a lifesaver. It works best when a) used soon after hair dying (as in, not six months later) and b) going back to lighter color.

Good luck!

u/notmyra · 4 pointsr/FancyFollicles

Since your hair is dyed a dark colour, you will need to lift the colour somehow. I recommend using Color Oops a couple of times before reaching for the bleach because it's really gentle on hair and does a pretty good job of lifting. If you still can't get it light enough (and you will want it as light as possible), then go ahead and use bleach.

For the purple itself... what dye you buy will depend on which one you find that matches what you want. My hair is purple and I use Splat Lusty Lavender. Whatever you get, though, you will want to do the dying immediately after bleaching. Get your hair nice and dry and drench your hair in the stuff. It will stain EVERYTHING. I MEAN EVERYTHING. So cover your hands, wear old clothes, and cover the area you're dying in with an old towel. After that, try to take colder showers because it will help with the fading... every time you shower, it will look like you're squeezing grape koolaid out of your hair. The stuff is going to fade fast, no matter what you do, so just do what you can. I usually get about 5 weeks out of mine before I feel like I have to redye it, and by that time it's lavenderish.

Good luck! Purple hair is amazing.

Edit: Here's what it looked like right before I redyed it last time.

u/amandaplzz · 4 pointsr/FancyFollicles

That's so great of you to want to treat your daughter! I agree with /u/hamzter247; Bleaching should be avoided, but with that being said... I think you could still do an ombre type thing on your own! I did my hair a few times using pravana vivid colors, which I found to be better than manic panics. You can buy them on amazon. I used violet, blue and green but obviously there are other colors :) My hair was a bit darker than your daughters, so I ended up bleaching it but maybe another pic might help for inspiration? Pic of original hair. Good luck!

u/starsspinningdizzy · 1 pointr/FancyFollicles

Adore African Violet turned blue on me too...apparently it's something that happens a lot. Maybe try to fade it more quickly by shampooing with clarifying shampoo in hot water and then go over it with a more pink based purple like Adore's Purple Rage (I've never used that specific color personally but I am a fan of Adore in general).

I had good luck with Pravana Chromasilk Violet (https://www.amazon.com/Pravana-ChromaSilk-Vivids-Violet-3-0oz/dp/B001K6CPYC) in that it turned a very pretty and saturated blue-based purple on me. BUT that is also the worst bleeding I have ever experienced, pillows, sheets, towels, for weeks afterwards so be warned. my Pravana hair here: http://imgur.com/a/nkjvW (note: in that picture my hair wasn't fully bleached, more highlighted and bleached ends so there's still some brown. if it had been fully bleached it would have come out an even brighter richer color)

u/musicalpeach · 8 pointsr/FancyFollicles

Hooray for henna! I redid mine today, with a fairly similar process. I mix mine with strong black tea (cooled) and a bit of lemon juice for bleaching properties. I use the cheap stuff off amazon and am pretty confident that its legit. I also toss in some cinnamon to counteract the dirt-matcha scent, in case anyone else dislikes it as much as I do :)

My hair is naturally a medium ashy-brown, so the henna gives me a nice, natural auburn color, particularly in sunlight. I love it!

u/Bop_It_ · 2 pointsr/AsianBeauty

I never had issues with most of my hair, just my hairline. So it's pretty easy to just dab some on directly to my hairline and I just kind of massage with my fingertips (not my nails) starting from my forehead and moving back toward the crown of my head. I really only work back a couple inches from the start of my hairline. I just repeat this so it's spread evenly, as a bonus the massaging feels nice. I only ever did it as a deep treatment, so I could be more generous with how much oil I was using since I would just be washing it out. Mixing it with a lighter oil also helps thin it out a bit. For a deep treatment, I would leave it on for an hour at the very least, but I would try to leave it on longer or overnight.

If you want to put it all over your scalp, I think one of these would probably help. http://www.amazon.com/Soft-Style-Applicator-Bottle-oz/dp/B001MP7I2A/ref=sr_1_15?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1417321310&sr=1-15

There are a ton of videos on youtube about castor oil and hair growth if you want more tips (or I can tell you everything about hair I know, but I could go on forever, lol). Search for "castor oil hair growth" or "castor oil challenge" and you'll get a ton of results and before and afters.

u/release_the_kitties · 2 pointsr/FancyFollicles

I had my hair dyed bright red at a salon and I think she used this (they also have purple and other bright colors): http://www.amazon.com/PRAVANA-ChromaSilk-Vivids-Keratin-Protein/dp/B008MBWEP8 It's really vibrant and lasts ages since it's permanent. That said, if you think you might get tired of it something like special effects might be better? This is all coming from someone who has never done purple so take my advice with a grain of salt :)

u/NachoCupcake · 2 pointsr/TrollXChromosomes

It's definitely a process and you should have it done by a pro, especially for the first time!

My solution for having to maintain lavender was to color it a deep purple, Pravana Violet to be specific, and it faded really gracefully until it ended up at a pretty silver/lavender.

I loved that color so much and I'll probably go back to it as soon as my employment situation allows!

u/TheLonelySamurai · 2 pointsr/ftm

Definitely looks like heat rash/pimples/boils from sweating and heat. I would really suggest putting an ample amount of an anti-chafing powder under them and also sprinkle this liberally inside your binder.

Possibly keeping a small little bottle on you like this filled with the powder on you so you can quickly re-apply during the day would also really help. The applicator tip will also help you with precision application that doesn't leave your hands super powdery.

u/brodyqat · 5 pointsr/TwoXChromosomes

There is an AWESOME color remover called "Color Oops", you can buy it at places like Walgreens and such. Here's info from Amazon. You HAVE to follow the directions precisely for it to work. I was able to strip off semi-permanent (or permanent, can't remember now) black dye and get back to something semi-normal that I could then re-dye with something lighter.

It was the best thing ever. Totally saved me a trip to the salon!

u/slowmotionforall · 1 pointr/curlyhair

I may be incorrect (someone correct me if this is terrible advice), but I believe you can just add Ardell Red Gold Color Corrector to your conditioner as an alternative.

For curly hair it's not recommended you use shampoo at all. I personally have stopped using shampoo and only use a cleansing conditioner on my scalp from time to time, and it has made such a vast improvement on frizziness/curl structure. So I think if you can mix in the color corrector with your sulfate/silicone free conditioner, that would be a better solution.

Edit: After reading through some reviews/more info online, I think if you mix some of this corrector in with a deep conditioner and use it as a sort of mask for ~30 minutes, it helps reduce brassiness by a lot. You can repeat occasionally until all brassiness is removed. Not sure how effective it would be if you just mixed a whole bottle with your bottle of conditioner, but maybe you can try out various methods and report back!

u/anacabana · 2 pointsr/FancyFollicles

My sister did my hair but we left the bleach in my hair for probably a little over an hour. My hair turned a very light blonde in places where it had never been bleached before and a sort of orangey blonde where I had previously done highlights. She then put in Splats blue envy and we left that in for a little over 45 minutes. I'm really pleased with how bright it came out. I've never had it be this true of a blue. Luckily my hair didn't get damaged and its still really soft.

u/Darklingtrees79 · 1 pointr/NoPoo

I use this Henna:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009YSTOAG/ref=rcxsubs_mys2_product_title

Super cheap. Good quality.

My preferred method:

  • In a glass bowl add a capful of ACV
-then add warm water a little at a time and mix until it's a smooth thick paste.
-Let sit somewhere warm for a couple of hours for the dyes to release within the henna.
-Then I take a cheap non-silicone conditioner and squirt that on in the mix until its a nice creamy consistency that would be good to apply to hair. (the conditioner helps it rinse out easier afterwards as well)
-Wrap it in a couple plastic shopping bags and let sit at least 2 hours, preferably more. Sometimes I do it overnight.
    -Rinse it out!

It looks a little orangy at first, but it oxidizes to a nice auburn after a few days. : )

This sweater would be awesome!

If that turns out to be too expensive, hair chalk or this game would be great too :)

The old apartment. I'm not sure how to work that into a sentence.

Edit: forgot the raffle phrase!

In the past I've used Rainbow henna. They have different colors made from blends of natural plants (henna, cassia, and indigo are the main ones). I took a break for a couple years to get my hair totally un-messed with, then I used [Hannah Natural] (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009YSTOAG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) 100% henna. The Rainbow henna was far more subtle than the Hannah Natural, which gave me the bright auburn. Hope that helps!

u/fsped09 · 41 pointsr/gaming

Sure, its no secret :)

I used this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004OKDW20/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

PUT GLOVES ON.

I placed a piece of plastic wrap flat on a table. Put a good amount in the middle and spread it with a paint brush. I applied some directly to the plastic as well. I placed the gameboy face down and wrapped it up. Next I put it in the sun and the yellowing came out pretty easily.

u/gunsashands · 2 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

No need for the $40 products! Shimmer Lights is a great toner. The shampoo would dry out my hair a bit, though my hair is super bleached. If you run in to that problem, just use lots of conditioner after, or switch to the Shimmer Lights toning conditioners. Currently I use John Frieda toners because I like the scent better.

I also discovered these corrector drops that I mixed in the last time I did my roots. It really helped. I believe they can be mixed with regular shampoos and conditioners as well.

u/meowwornever · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I actually use Pravana
I've been dying over my purple for about three years now - so it sticks pretty good even when it starts to fade, since there's so much purple in it now. But the Pravana works great!

Is your hair still healthy? I had to start using colorwash shampoo, instead of dye at the salon, because my hair was starting to look really bad. Using this had my hair healthy again.

When I had silver hair, this was the best product that got me to silver and was easy to use. I recommend it over salon dye.

u/Teejsaurus · 3 pointsr/ftm

It's this stuff! It has somehow stayed a really nice color this whole time since first dying it. I had used mostly manic panic before, with some pravana here and there, but both of those always seem to fade pretty fast for me, but this has stayed really nice.

u/ChihuahuawithBoombox · 10 pointsr/CasualConversation

I know it's expensive but this has kept my Blue / purple vibrant for ages! It deposits colour as you shampoo and is the most awesome product ever.

Also, hell yeah as a woman I would be flirting with a dude with pink hair. A dude with pink hair is completely confidant in being a man, that's always hot.

I have had tons of different colors of hair, including purple, green, and blue. Honestly, every time i've gotten my hair dyed at a salon, it gets on EVERYTHING. However, when I do it myself (I get the dye from Sally's) it stays on my hair perfectly fine. I've just learned how to dye my hair myself. I use pravana and directions.

So I did soft smoky amethyst last year and remember the struggle. My hair is light so the color fell out in like two days. Literally. Now I just keep my hair blonde, but to keep it from getting brassy, I mix Pravana Chromasilk Vivids in Violet into my conditioner once a week or so and it really helps! It only takes the tiniest (half a pea sized) amount to get what I want out of it, but if you want vivid, this may be your product. I gave up on purple shampoo because I just think it straight up doesn't work for me. This stuff is pigmented enough to perma stain my shower walls, so hopefully it will give you what you want!

u/hairn3rd · 1 pointr/HairDye

I recommend this shampoo to all of my vibrant color clients.
It’s a great way to refresh your color at home!

Just two things to keep in mind, this shampoo tends to dry out hair so I would definitely only use this once a week with a deep conditioner & if you’re planning on changing your color just stop using it for a few weeks so it won’t be hard to remove!

I use Pravana ChromaSilk Vivids in silver and its amazing! Its a dye but its not hard on your hair, and I mix it half and half with conditioner to get a light silver. If you use it straight out of the tube its like gunmetal grey. I've tried toners in my hair to go silver, but those usually wash out within a week.

A strong Hydrogen peroxide plus sunlight works wonders on the yellowing. I recently restored a C128D and keyboard.

Can you talk a bit more about the specs and show pics of the hard drive setup? I'm actually fascinated that you were able to hook one up, presumably the sidecar port?

Henna!! I used to use it, and it's wonderful. People always asked me if it was natural. Sounds like exactly what you're looking for.

I really recommend this brand. Other brands can be fake or have weird chemicals in them. This is the real deal.

I don't know what you have access to in Iceland, but I've always had decent luck with Color Oops. It won't bring you back out to your natural blonde, but it should pull enough of the black out that you can take another stab at auburn.

I've also had success with One 'n Only Colorfix.

Since it's been a few months since the black dye went on, and it was so light before, you may even be able to get away with just bleaching it.

u/jasongill · 13 pointsr/geek

Protip: You can make "Retr0bright" which is a special gel that is intended to remove yellowing from old plastics, restoring them to their original color. Or just buy cream hair developer (creame peroxide) and carefully apply it (wear gloves), then cover with plastic so it doesn't dry out, and let it sit in the sun for a few days. This will also eat up the yellow, especially on the middle of the toy where it's noticeably yellowed (note that I am not a pro toy restorer, just used this on old C64 keyboards in the past)

It's worth it. If you're worried about it fading quickly, try searching for the Celeb Luxury Viral Shampoo. They deposit bright colors back into your hair to keep your fashion colors from fading super quick.

u/SAL16 · 1 pointr/femalefashionadvice

I do it myself! It's pretty easy. I use this: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CCYN798/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (find the right color for you, of course)

I don't know anything Surya Henna but I got Godrej Nupur henna from Amazon the last time I was in a punch. I really like this henna!!

u/prettylittlefox · 2 pointsr/FancyFollicles

I used the blue and I wash my hair in cold(ish) water every three days. For shampoo I use KMS California's color vitality and conditioner is KMS moist repair. If I could, I would just wash my hair in the sink every time so I don't have to torture myself haha.

> your best bet is to do a bleach bath and a coconut oil treatment

I did read about putting a lot of coconut oil into your hair for a few hours and into the bleach treatment because it prevents damage, so I will do that next time then. However, what is a bleach bath? Is that just bleaching it again? If so, how long should I wait? It's healthy and strong now, still, but I want to keep it that way.

Is this the Lady Toner you're talkinga bout? And is this the dye you're talking about?

u/Canibalope · 3 pointsr/Hair

Okay. I've been dying my hair with henna for years, but when I first started I used LUSH and had the same experience. So here's what you do.

LUSH henna doesn't take well because the blocks you use are full of butters and other stuff that actually inhibits the henna from taking to your hair. It's really meant more for hydration; you should never use oils in your henna mixture if color is your primary intent.

Order some real henna from mehandi.com or try this variety from Amazon and henna again. Mix the powder with ONLY water and lemon juice and make sure it it allowed to rest for 8 hours once mixed before putting it into your hair. Leave it in for AT LEAST 3 hours before washing it out. Henna builds with each application, so the more applications you do, the more even your color will be (and the healthier your hair).

Taking the henna out now that you have started is seriously hard and it will be much easier to dedicate yourself to it for even color. If you go this route and have any more questions, PLEASE let me know, henna is wonderful but many people have a bad experience the first time (especially with LUSH, ugh).

Ive realized that my hair is finally long enought to do something with, so i have been wanting to style it more! I miss having the colors in my hair and found hair chalk to be a good medium from not wanting to dye it and still have funky colors when not working :D And i love handmade jewelry! I used to make crazy hemp necklaces all the time!

edit: kitten mittens make me smitten!

u/dutch4fire · 5 pointsr/gamecollecting

Its called 40 Volume cream. Also check out 8-bit guy like stated, but a good how to is here

u/cpio · 3 pointsr/gamecollecting

You can just use hair developer. The main active ingredient in RetroBright is hydrogen peroxide. There are much easier ways to get hydrogen perxoide gel than making it yourself. Here is some on amazon

You still follow the same process. Paint it on the part, wrap it saran wrap to keep it from drying out etc.

1000 Hour Eyelash & Brow Dye / Tint Kit Permanent Mascara (Blue Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FAANC8W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ymCyCbV5ZD55N

It lasts well. I've had it on about two weeks so far and it's been good. I was told blue black is for fairer people and natural black is for people who have dark hair and perhaps don't burn as easily. I will note that the price went up. It was about $13 when I got it.
The application is a little uncomfortable as it kinda stings your eyes a bit and I chose to do one eye at a time. It also stings for a small amount of time after you take it off. Nothing horrible.

Godefroy Professional Tint Kit, Light Brown, 20 Count https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CCYN798/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_cqCyCbPF2K5WH

This is what I use for my brows as they are super blonde. I actually really need to do them again. Again, the price went up and it was $16 when I bought it.

Sorry for crappy links I'm on mobile.

u/eatingmoss · 0 pointsr/femalehairadvice

Well, I've never used this but I've heard good things. I usually just dye over my previous hair color.

u/redwoodser · 7 pointsr/philadelphia

Get something like this and spray it on your back pack if you use one, and spray it on and maybe wear the same shoes always on public transportation. You can put some into a little spray bottle and travel with that if you like.

I used to have this problem as well. I've 100% solved it. I hardly ever have more than a speck or two that sticks.

  • Buy these.
  • Fill them with distilled water.
  • Spread out the beans (I do this on the Encore hopper lid) and give them a few sprays from 6-12 inches away.
  • Dump the beans in the hopper, wipe off the lid so there's no moisture left.
  • Enjoy static-less grinding!

This is my grinder after a week or more of not cleaning it one bit.

I used this stuff.

I don't know much about henna, having not used it before, so I just bought this one since it had primarily positive reviews. Massive bag, I probably used about a quarter of it.

u/gingerspeak · 7 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

I used this product. It comes with everything you need in the kit - even the angled brush for application. You mix up the powder color and the developer, and apply to your natural brow shape (I wouldn't go outside the natural hair). I bet if you were going for very very natural look you could use a spoolie. I have red hair and used the color light brown, so I only left the mixture on for 45 seconds. Then wipe off. My advice is do less time than you think at first - you can always go for another round if it's too light.

Current eyebrows here. Don't have a before pic - but they were invisible blonde. Got sick of filling them in. They aren't an exact match for my hair color but close enough! Package says results last 6 weeks, but I'll probably just redo them when they start to look too light. Hope this helps!

u/Jrewy · 2 pointsr/AskWomen

One thing I've done in the past is got a little spray bottle, like the kind you can get in the travel section of a pharmacy. Looks like this.

Filled it with the hottest hot sauce I could find. Never had to use it, but it's not an illegal product and I figured it would follow the same principle.

You can just buy some 40 volume creme from amazon or a hair salon. I used it on my NES 2 years ago and it still looks like its brand new.
Heres the link to the stuff I use

u/pixelstar · 1 pointr/FancyFollicles

Is this the same stuff? What color is your natural hair? How long do you have to go before you redye?

I used Special FX in college with bleached hair but I think my days of bleaching are far gone. At the same time I don't have the time to touch up every couple weeks.

u/I_Wanna_Be_Numbuh_T · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

I'll make it easy. Just buy a bottle of this stuff, and watch this tutorial.

If you don't own a UV light, just use the sun.

wear gloves, spread this on evenly with a brush https://www.amazon.com/Salon-Care-Creme-Developer-ounce/dp/B004OKDW20

wrap up the yellowed plastic in clear plastic wrap

put it in the sun outside, rotating every 30 minutes for even spread, for a few hours depending on temp

u/TheDoctors_Companion · 1 pointr/FancyFollicles

It's definitely worth a try. I'm not a stylist so I can't give you a guarantee or anything, but you could do a test strip underneath just to see how it goes. You can get Pravana on amazon.

-Toner - (http://www.amazon.com/Wella-Color-Charm-T18-White/dp/B000CSYYZM) & 10 volume developer

Proper bleach application will be really important in this or else the result won't be even.

u/MizChizzo · 2 pointsr/tifu

Cant believe no one mentioned Pravana

Also Hairstory over traditional shampoo/ conditioner. Although I've found that bleaching my hair once a month takes care of my oil problem.

u/sitah · 1 pointr/Philippines

I had gray hair before. You need to bleach your hair 2-3x until it's very pale yellow. And then you either use a toner (I used Wella) or a dye (I used Pravana Vivids in Silver the second time). Wella will look more ashy platinum blonde and Pravana will actually look gray. Wella will sting your scalp btw.

Don't leave Wella on for too long or your hair will turn lavender. And don't color if your hair is not that light yet because it will turn greenish gray.

u/itscherried · 1 pointr/electronic_cigarette

WHAT IN THE FUCK BRO.....

>I've heard sandpapering helps

As a fellow sneaker restorer I just cried tears of death.

If you're serious, there's a few options, depending on how much time you have on your hands.

Salon Care 40

Sole Bright

and as others have said the magic eraser.

The 40 solution is practically the main ingredient which other knock off brands have used for their "de-yellowing, of mid soles, process".
