I feel like I'm constantly promoting amazon here but I might as well quote one of my old comments here.
>
>The last time I had to return an item to amazon, they told me to just put it back in the box it came it and leave it outside. I didnt even print out any label or anything, the delivery guy takes care of everything.
>If I wanted a replacement instead of a return it might have taken an extra day to get the new item, which I guess could suck for some people, but even that is guesswork..if you start the return process early enough you'd still be in time for next day delivery.
>On top of that, I've also just never felt like bestbuy went out of their way to serve me when I was displeased. They verymuch have that corporate 'why should i care?' attitude.

>For some reason, amazon does not. Just two more personal anecdotes real quick:
>Bought my mom some dvds for christmas a few years back and for some reason it didnt come in time. I open a complaint and they instantly refund my money, next day me another copy, and tell me to keep both.
>Even more insane:

>Bought Rocksmith(xbox game that should come with a cable to hook up a guitar->usb). Bought from third party seller, they did not include the cable. I open a dispute, amazon INSTANTLY puts money into my account and says to wait for the seller to contact me to resolve this.
>I then order from another third party seller, again no cable, i realize its probably a listing mistake on amazons end. I contact customer support, they offer to give me a $10 refund or something so I can go buy the cable locally. I point out that the cable costs $30 on their website and link them to it, they tell me to just order it from amazon and they'll zero it out.

>So I now have two copies of the game(first seller never followed up) and a cable, and paid for only one copy

So I mean you could say target is free, but I say that all it takes is one return process or dispute of any kind for amazon to be worth it.

Admittedly I've never had to make a return to target so I can't compare them 1:1, but the Amazon experience is just so great that to me its always worth paying a little more.

Theres also such a huge variety that having free 2day shipping just becomes useful for. If you've never done it before, go buy some random candy on amazon. these things are amazing, but browse around..you can get lots of fun import things.

You can also get super cheap stuff like this pack of 5 iphone charge cables for $3.

I think target's cheapest is this pink one, 1 for $10.

So.. yeah. It's nice to know target price matches if you really need something now instead of tomorrow, but it still is hard to compare to everything you get out of amazon.

Oh my GOSH this is so fuuuun, I wish I had kids to make baskets for, I love this stuff! So here are my go-tos:

  1. Play dough, or crayola air clay. Why BUY dinosaurs when you can MAKE YOUR OWN dinosaurs?

  2. Bubbles, but these are bubble guns that light up. Cheap, comes with 2! ALWAYS put bubbles in baskets. Bubbles are 100% fun 100% of the time!

  3. This POkemon sticker set has 10 sheets, which you can split into 5 sheets for each kiddo. Fair is fair!

  4. Check out this dinosaur excavation kit! It's a steal for 5 bucks.

  5. These Mario blocks filled with chocolate coins are super cool!

  6. Educational science kits for backyards are a great way to keep kiddos smart and occupied.

  7. Let's be honest, this would be adorable and hilarious for the 6 year old kiddo!

  8. This dinosaur book is adorable, too

  9. Kites are universally fun, video games or not!

  10. Styluses are easy to lose. The older kiddo could probably use some fun Pokemon ones before the inevitable.

I have TONS more ideas, let me know if you need more! ^u^

When I was sixteen I started to really figure out where I was going. This is quite late for most people, and I realise that, but a reasonably sheltered childhood combined with a latent susceptibility to depression left me a little less than sociable. It just so happened that at some point I heard a song, a song I could have heard any hundred of times before and, at some point, probably did. I heard Smells like teen spirit by Nirvana. That day, something really kicked off in me. I'll be twenty five soon and my biggest, possible only, regret in life is not learning sooner how much I loved music. Music is the lifeblood of my world.

Now, don't get me wrong, I existed before those 16 years and music isn't everything. It's most things, but not everything. When I was a kid, a very young and very shy kid, I discovered gaming. I played an old Atari and a NES. Super Mario Bros. Pacman. These mattered. They were my friends. When I was five I got a Sega Mega Drive. I loved that. When I was six or seven, a SNES. To this day I am an escapist, I always will be. I have put a terrifying amount of my life into rpgs. Final Fantasies and Personas, too many to name. I loved them, the writing, the characters, the playstyle. I was good at something I loved to do regardless of how little others valued it.

I'm an adult now. and my life has moved on. I still game whenever I can but I hate how few and far between that has become. I rarely have the time or money to indulge myself anymore But I don't mind, not really. I'll find the time when it matters.

If there's anything left to define me it's simply this; My love of the written word. From a very young age I loved to read and write. In my teenage years I devoured books. In my late teens I realised that writing was the most effective way I'd found to deal with my depression. I've rarely ever stopped writing, though I did find little time or desire to read for a few years. Recently I've dived back into it like a familiar blanket.

Times are hard, but I always try to look on the brightside, to never let go of my inner child. I'm striving to remember who I am, remember why I do what i do. I'm trying hard to be happy, and selfish and, for once, to live for me. To do what I want, not what anyone else thinks I should.

In school, you're taught a lesson and then given a test. In life, you're given a test that teaches you a lesson.

1.) For this I choose a pencil box because when I was in grade school I collected pencil shavings mostly from colored pencils to do a craft project idea I had with them. Sad ending though, I never did get around to making the craft.

2.) I know this notebook would make me insanely jealous. I wasn't much of a note taker however so it would end up mostly filled with doodles :P

3.) I think any teacher would smile if they saw one of their students wearing this shirt

4.) YAY! Art class! I think with this I will be fully prepared!

5.) In my state (Washington) it rains a lot during the school year, so these fashionable rain boots are a must have for splashing around in the puddles!

6.) If I could pick my school's mascot, it would definitely be the blobfish because I don't think anybody else has him as a mascot yet. And of course because he's so cute!

7.) You would think a box of nerds candy this big should last the whole school year, but it's kids we're talking about here, come on.

8.) I have always been in love with the Shel Silverstein books such as Where The Sidewalk Ends. Also they rhyme and have silly drawings!

9.) There is no way to beat this amazing spectacular backpack any kid wearing this would be the most popular kid in school!

10.) Between homework and dinner, my favorite activity would be playing the Wii U with friends or family. It's a fun video game system that can also keep you up and active!

These are a Mexican candy staple, tamarind chili pulp:

These are almost like a spicy Mexican fruit roll up:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B016CHXTH0/ref=mp_s_a_1_3_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1521687225&sr=8-3&keywords=pulparindo&dpPl=1&dpID=61losSMKZnL&ref=plSrch

These are candy sticks, the container is full of spicy/sour powder that you dip the stick in. These are cucumber flavor (sounds weird, but try it). They have other flavors too, watermelon is good.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00DHOMJGY/ref=mp_s_a_1_12_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1521687338&sr=8-12&keywords=lucas+candy

Lucas is probably the biggest Mexican candy brand, and most of what they make is good. From these items you can view recommendations for more ideas to find something you like. There are a few variety packs as well, maybe you can try one of those to see what you like before you order a 40 pack of them. Good luck!

I am inspired by my favorite teacher from high school, I had him during my senior year and he was always there for me. At the time I was fresh out of the closet and I had no real "gay role models" to look up to. This teacher and I clicked from the beginning of the year, eventually I asked if he was gay and he admitted he was. I could always stop by his office and ask for advice about dating, dating websites, and family. If someone in my family was giving me attitude for being gay one day, I could always count on him to listen to me vent the next. He is the only gay role model I had in my life, he is successful, smart, well adjusted man and I hope to be like him when I am his age. I don't want to think about where I would be in my life if I never had him as a teacher. At the very end of the year, he gave me his phone number and told me to call him if I ever need help. We still talk every once in a while. Light your passion

I'm not sure how well received this will be, but I figured if you guys love the show as much as I do maybe it'd interest you. This blue rock candy on amazon looks pretty much just like the stuff they use on the show. And it's also really good. Here's the link to it on amazon

These [twizzlers] (https://www.amazon.com/Twizzlers-TWIZZLERS-Twists-Strawberry-105-Count/dp/B00X3GA1PC/ref=sr_1_102_s_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1473724361&sr=1-102&keywords=Bulk+candy&refinements=p_36%3A698503011) are 5 cents each. Get 5 boxes of 105 count for about 500 ($25).

These [smarties] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B004CHACSM/ref=dp_olp_new_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=new) are about 7 cents per individually wrapped roll. Get the $18 pack for 250 more pieces of candy. (Now you're at 750 pieces for $43 and free shipping on the options I saw!)

Then here's the great deal: [these individually wrapped lifesavers are about 2.5 cents per piece!!] (https://www.amazon.com/Lifesavers-Hard-Candy-Five-Flavor/dp/B00IDQX5VO/ref=sr_1_185_s_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1473725058&sr=1-185&keywords=Bulk+candy&refinements=p_36%3A698503011) Add these in for $7 and you've got 1058 pieces for approximately $50 and free shipping!

So any combo of these prices and you'll be in good shape. I don't think my mom even remembers much nickel-per-piece and under candies! :)

Then I am partial to chocolate so here's a good one: [these are about 5.4 cents per piece and it mentions a 20 percent off coupon!] (https://www.amazon.com/HERSHEYS-Halloween-Assortment-48-Ounce-Pieces/dp/B00I1MRX0E/ref=sr_1_52_s_it?s=grocery&ie=UTF8&qid=1473726034&sr=1-52&keywords=Bulk+candy)

Also, search for bulk bit-o-honey because they are good and they are on the site for about 7 cents per.

Sure, anything with sugar is fine. I prefer orange or grape juice but glucose tablets are easy to carry around and are useful in an emergency. Just today I ordered some Mega Smarties from Amazon after hearing that they're the same size as glucose tablets but taste better.

One risk of eating something more appealing is that you're likely to get more calories/fat than you really need. Sure, you can treat a low with ice cream but you might just eat more than necessary because it's a treat that you wouldn't have otherwise.

You should just spend the whole thing on yourself. I suggest These guava hard candies because guava is delicious and these look really good. Plus when you are anxious you can pop one in your mouth and have a few minutes of pleasure and relax. :3

Good luck on your finals.

Is it safe to assume that your brother is in the military deployed in Okinawa? If so, american candy is readily available on the stores in the base so if you'd like to save room you could possibly leave a little out.

I would recommend sending some ethnic snacks and trinkets which he probably won't see much of in Japan such as Pulparindo or Chili covered lollipops . If he favors more of a standard fair, you could possibly get him some Salt Water Taffy.

If your brother is a beer person you could also maybe get him some souvenir glasses / coasters / or growlers from a local brewery.

Respectfully,

Juunbugs

the coolest thing under $15 you ask??? how about candy? but not just any candy zotz

you eat your first one and its an explosion in your mouth. you give them to your friends (if you dont eat them all) and you watch them have a hilarious reaction to the amount of foam that these little candies produce. they seriously make you look as if you have rabies. not to mention they are delicious. I could only dream of having a 2lb bag one day

u/ChriskiV · 2 pointsr/AskReddit

I bought a giant tub of them from Costco one time and kept throwing the watermelon ones in my desk drawer; by the time I left that job that drawers sole purpose was to house a massive pile of watermelon Jolly Ranchers.

Seriously though, has anyone at Hershey ever eaten a real watermelon? The jolly ranchers taste like someone condensed and entire watermelon into a single bite and added a small hint of gasoline.

Also see for best jolly rancher flavor: http://www.amazon.com/Jolly-Rancher-Candy-Lemon-13-Ounce/dp/B00BZO34KS

u/dancingbanana123 · 1 pointr/askmath

Kind of a cheeky way to solve it, but a big bag of jolly ranchers has about 375 jolly ranchers in it. Most likely whoever filled it used the entirety of every bag used in it. Going off of /u/CatpainTpyos's answer, it'd take somewhere between 4 and 6 bags of candy to fill, or 1500 to 2250 pieces of candy. That seems like a large range, but considering that we're only looking at situations where it's only filled with whole bags, that means our answer is either 1500, 1875, or 2250.

See's Candies! I've seen some stores in Hong Kong and Japan carry them, but never in Korea. My host family in Korea and Singapore loved the peppermint ones.

Being from Texas, you might get some Tex-Mex goodies as well. I'm a Texas girl myself, and I brought these https://www.amazon.com/Vero-Covered-Flavored-Lollipops-Pieces/dp/B0000ICLLS chili-mango lollipops. Kind of weird, but they were definitely a hit!

Gift One: There's no way this is gonna happen, but it's worth a shot (By the way, rasta, you look incredibly stylish today, is that a new sweater?)

Gift Two: I get hungry at work, so I always need some snacks :)

In the US we had an energy drink called Cocaine. People went apeshit over it. There was a rumor that they were going to change the name and keep selling it, but I haven't seen it anywhere lately.

Fun fact: It had more caffeine than any drink on the market. I liked it, but it burned your mouth and throat when you drank it. It tasted like this candy.

You got me at "slap so hard" so I'll try to help. I think these are the same thing (with probably updated packaging).

They're Brach's, which usually sell big "sampler bags" for Halloween (which include many of the candies in this post + like Smarties and Bit-O-Honey and stuff, I think?) but I think you also might have a shot at finding them in a candy bulk section (which is probably where the old ladies got them).

Edit: This might be more what you're looking for. The packaging matches better and I guess it's "Columbina" brand, which matches one of the OPs candies. I feel like I've still seen them bulk, but now I'm not familiar with the brand.

I do agree with you, the prices are fairly prohibitive. In a perfect world, I could buy only watermelon Blow Pops and cherry Tootsie Pops :)

CandyWarehouse.com or BulkCandyStore.com are other possibilities for single flavor bulk candy orders.

I didn't even know there were orange and pineapple ones, I'll be searching today. I'm a bit sad, with my last few bouts of dental work, I had to give up Jolly Ranchers; they were a mainstay of my childhood!

Guava-Lime Candy

These were the inspiration for this recipe. The candy is a sweet and sour guava. This recipe takes that idea a little further.

  • .25% FLV Pink Guava

  • .25% INW Lime

  • .25% FA Fuji

  • 4% CAP Lemon Lime

  • .5% INW Cactus

  • 1% INW Dragonfruit

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B000OZS0WQ/

u/Riggs109 · 1 pointr/T1D

I just buy 5lb bags of smarties from Amazon instead of glucose tabs. According to some quick googling, a roll is 7g of carbs, across 15 tablets, so I'd think you'd be able to dial it right in if you wanted.

edit: I think smarties are called different things depending on what country you're in so here's a link.

Check out “mega smarties” on amazon and buy them in bulk. Same diameter as glucose tabs so they’ll fit in your old plastic glucose holders, but a fraction of the price.

Jolly Ranchers are individually wrapped. It says the box has about 375 pieces so that's a pretty good per piece cost. You'd need 6 orders at $10 each but it's still a pretty low cost overall.

Yeah, the original ones are made by Arcor, you can find them here https://www.amazon.com/SweetGourmet-Arcor-Strawberry-Filled-Candy/dp/B004QLOFN2?th=1

These are repackaged so sometimes they put some knock-off brand in it (not Arcor) so it's a gamble tho.

u/Outrageswift · 1 pointr/funny

The brand we all know and love is Arcor I believe. Don't be turned off by the weird packaging. These are the same candies that normally reside in Grandma's glass jar of assorted candies. http://www.amazon.com/Arcor-Juice-Filled-Strawberry-Kosher/dp/B004TNVSDW/ref=sr_1_1?s=grocery&ie=UTF8&qid=1367828861&sr=1-1&keywords=arcor+strawberry+candy

These little bastards fueled my high school years. The secretary would actually keep a stockpile of these in her desk specifically for me in the event that my blood sugars dropped low and I didn't have anything on me to eat. I had these all through my childhood, but they were most prevalent during those high school years. I graduated in 2005, and haven't had a single one since then. Frowny-face. That's why they're on my wish list: once I finally have some money to spare, I want to grab some and have some diabetic nostalgia time. :D

EDIT: Also, Tim Tam.

Last Halloween I was handing out these but my neighborhood is shit for Trick or Treating so had a fuck ton left over so I got super stoned and ate like a pounds worth. Wound up blowing pink and yellow chalky chunks all over myself shortly after. Good times.

Classic Guava Candy. I usually keep a bag on hand.

I think it's just wrapped strawberry candies. Like these: http://www.amazon.com/Columbina-Strawberry-Candy-Wrapped-5LB/dp/B003EMSRLK

Where the "sharp" is coming from I have no idea. Edited to add: "sharp" because they apparently cut the shit out of your mouth if you try to eat them.

u/dizneedave · 14 pointsr/funny

Reverand Lux Newman had this to say:

I bought these candies because I thought I recognized the colored wrappers of the strawberry candies we were used to as children... the ones that have been around for about 50 years. These are NOT the original candies. These candies are imitation ones made in Columbia. The same wrappers are used to deceive people into thinking they are buying the originals. These candies from Columbia are dried up on the outside. The papers stick to the candies. Most importantly, this Columbia brand does not have the strawberry gel filling that the original candies have. If you are looking for the originals, they are by Arcor. Don't settle for this substitute. They don't compare.

I found the originals on Amazon, if anybody is interested.

u/ramjambamalam · 2 pointsr/SilkRoad

You can buy blue rock candy almost anywhere, or make it yourself. If I recall correctly, the only special equipment required is a candy thermometer. Or if you're feeling lazy, Amazon has one-pound bags for $14.

Here's a 5 lb bag. My grandmother barely uses a computer though, so I have no idea where she gets them from.

Edit: Not sure why the downvotes. I assure you I don't work for Big Strawberry Candy.

These Hongyuan Guava candies. I got a few as an after dinner candy from a Chinese restaurant and had to track down a store near me that sells them. Now I always keep a bag around.

u/snoozebuttonpresser · 4 pointsr/candy

I’ve had this! Someone at my work buys them and gives em to people here and there. They can be found in the “international” sections at candy stores but also: here’s a link to amazon!

u/PangurBanHammer · 2 pointsr/funny

I have a bag of generic-brand ones (from Giant, I think) and they call them strawberry buds, but I dunno if that's what they're usually called.

Edit: Someone else posted this.

u/Snoopy_Hates_Germans · 11 pointsr/gifs

You mean these? They're literally in any grocery store.
