I'm guessing UK based on spelling and phrasing ("storey" and "scuffed.") If you just want to be warm at your desk, this would probably work. Between computer heat and body heat, it may get too hot in there.

If not, an oil-filled radiator type space heater should be safe. I wouldn't do anything with high temps or open coils.

Remember to protect the floor under the legs if the floor is nice.

Those that looked big enough were put in the greenhouse at the beginning of April. I kept a close eye on the weather and ran a paraffin heater overnight when it got cold.
With the past week or so of sun they really had a growth spurt and I think all 16 plants now have budding flowers. I expect quite a few more of them to have opened by this weekend.

The Fujimi 917 has a few "nuances" that make it a little more difficult than a total beginner build. It's mostly good, and doesn't have much in the way of engine detail, which makes it good for starting out. However, it's got a multi-piece body that's hard to fit together straight. The clear parts also have no tabs for glue, making their installment very fiddly. Also, the long stripe decals are a hassle to put on. It'd be a good kit to tackle after getting one build under your belt.

If you're interested in Le Mans cars, I'd recommend starting out with -

Revell Corvette C7.R - Simple assembly, single-piece glass, one-color body.

Hasegawa Toyota 88C - One-piece body and low parts count

Hasegawa Porsche 962C - Ditto

Tamiya Toyota GT-One - More complicated and has a lot of engine detail, but the build is really straightforward and it comes with a paint mask for the body.

I don't know how to drive and live in Cambridge MA. I do most of my shopping at Trader Joe's which is over a mile from my house (about half a mile past my work). My work is 3/4 of a mile from my house and there's a Target nearby. (I get 1-2 things from there many days after work, don't even need the cart for that.) There is also another grocery 3/4 of a mile from my house in the direction opposite work.

Going to be moving soon where I'll be even further from groceries :/

But I consider it to be a great privilege to not have to drive, so I don't really mind.

I basically never involve transit with grocery shopping.

Hand weeding and reseeding is fine just be sure to add some soil to fill up the holes created when you weed. I think in the UK you can get away with seeding in spring as you don't get the brutal summer temps that the US does. I reseeded here in Auckland NZ in late spring and we have similar peak summer highs to most of the UK and didn't get any die off. Seed is also cheap, particularly for a small yard, so if you fail no problem just over seed again in Autumn. If it was my lawn I would spot spray the dandelions using glyphosate , wait a week dig them out and then aerate with something like this, add a thin layer of compost (don't smother the existing grass) and then overseed and add a starter fertiliser. Keep the soil moist while the grass is starting out, watering at least once a day depending on the weather. I've never dealt with moss in my lawn but you may need to add lime to change the PH or improve drainage.

That looks really cool, I was also considering making a thing myself. But if you would be willing to tweak it for my container, that would be great :)

I don't think there's any machines that can use both Nespresso and Dolce Gusto pods. There is, however, an adapter for using K-fee (aka Starbucks Verismo) pods in a Dolce Gusto machine, which probably also works with Caffitaly/CBTL pods. You can also get refillable Dolce Gusto pods, so maybe that would be your best option?

The 'trees' are sizable bare-rooted willow cuttings between about 8 and 12 inches long. Will a 30cm pot each be big enough growing room, at least for the next year or two? And the cat litter alone is good for this?
