Looks like you can get hookah john titanium coals on amazon.

https://www.amazon.ca/Titanium-Coconut-Charcoal-Cubettes-Pieces/dp/B01KP3I9K4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1523318479&sr=8-1&keywords=coconut+coals

not sure if real, but that looks like your best bet if you're determined to buy from amazon.

Shishafreak also sells Titaniums, I've only ever made one order from them and it was a while ago but I was happy with it.

Oxide hookah sells both Titaniums and Coco Urth coals, and I've had good luck with both over the years. But I mostly roll with Coco Urth these days.

Good Luck!

If it's alright, I'll plug our own product here, Prestige Coco Coals :)

Solid reputation for being the most consistent hookah charcoal

You can find it on most major retail stores, and Amazon. YouTube has a few reviews on it, and for quick text reviews, you can check out Amazon.

I'm confident you'll love them if you give them a try; and if you do, I'd love to hear your feedback!

Try to find Coco Java, it comes in a black box like this one but this one in the USA

They are better than coconara as far as I have tried them, however, they do have similar ashes but better taste

You'll need to burn them over an open flame like a gas stove top for like two minutes...until it's glowing. It's all natural. The instant light ones basically are loaded with gunpowder to get that spark.

This stuff works fantastically

320 ° Blue edition (25mm cubes) are now available in the US via amazon.com.

320 coal in USA

This is the best selling coconut coal on UK Amazon

Technically speaking, you can just burn it on a metal / ceramic dish of some sort, if you don't want to get a whole censer. I recommend three kings charcoal, for what it's worth. Since I break up the individual discs, 100 pieces would last about forever.

You can get the giant box of coals from this amazon link :]

The thing is, are those things really at all healthier? The shisha I smoke doesn't come out burned, most of it is "baked" or vaporized = very little to no tar going into your lungs. I'd argue that the majority of the negative health effects from hookah come from inhaling whatever toxins and carcinogens which are realeased from the burning coal.

So aside from the addictive properties of tobacco, I can't imagine those rocks are any healtier since you're still inhaling burning coal.

I think if you want to make hookah healthier, replacing the coal as a heat source is where the technology should be evolving, rather than what's inside the bowl. Right now you can buy an "electric coal", but apperently it's a piece of shit. But I love the idea, it definately has potential if improved upon. Eg. some kind of drag sensor which determines when you're pulling and then it heats up like a normal coal would, or a manual heat control dial where you can quickly add more heat or less. If something like that heated just like a real coal, damn that would be revolutionary.

I wonder if you can use quick ignite coals like used in Hookah for this. They heat up extremely quickly after lighting them.

CocoUrth. Hands down, the most consistent coals I have ever used. I normally buy two boxes at a time and it is the same shipping cost. Comes out to around 10-11 bucks for a box of 96 when you buy like this. Hookah Natural Coconut Charcoal 96 Pieces Flat Coco Urth 1 Kilo Shisha Coal https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018T6BM5S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_GXbZAb8CJSSM4

Breco Cubes

Try these have been loving them

Edit- I only use cocourth these were a gamble that paid off in spades only light 2 they last forever and the ash isn’t some white mess more of a brown color

Personally I will be switching to Ecocha once I run out of Titaniums because they are $25 for 324 pieces, aka 3 boxes of 108. Here is a review by thelonesloth and M1i5k6e6.

Does this study take into account difference on same brand between batches?

Frequently, I find a charcoal I like. Once I finish it, I'll order a new batch (same package, brand, type, etc.) and it'll be shit. Like terrible taste, hard to light, falls apart.

The one's I've had the best luck with are these ones. This brand is not immune, however. The first and second time I used these, they were amazing. Then I got a batch where 4 out of 5 would explode into pieces while lighting. The current batch has a bad taste.

I think the problem is that making charcoal is similar to brewing beer or making cheese: it's very difficult to come up with a uniform product quality.

u/AmbientTech · 5 pointsr/instantkarma

If you've used any of these types of coals when smoking hookah, you're doing it horribly wrong. You want to use coconut style charcoal and preferably a heat management device. I'm sure your drunken night didn't help with the experience at all.
