How to-
i first bought and made this:
http://www.amazon.com/Custom-Tracker-Ghillie-Kit-Choose/dp/B000VB475W/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&qid=1333593733&sr=8-17
nest, i got a camo hat and pants from walmart and strung some of the extra cutoff netting from the large piece onto them. all very simple, but it works out GREAT! the kit you buy is very nice cuz u can put all the different colors on that you want based on where you will be playing, and theres plenty of it too, i have extra. Good luck!

Sure thing. First, I removed the scales, hung it up with a piece of copper wire and sprayed paint stripper on the blade. I initially wanted to use "aircraft paint stripper" after some googling, but my Lowe's didn't have it so I settled on this brand. Luckily it worked well, here's a pic of the baked on coating falling off after about 10 minutes. Use this stuff outside, it's pretty hardcore. After letting it sit for 15 - 20 minutes, with gloves on, I just sprayed the blade with the water hose and 99% of the paint came right off. The remainder eventually came off with sanding.

Next I started sandpapering the hell out of it. Started with 220 grit, worked my way up to 2000 grit. Thanks goes to ElGatoTheManCat for the advice in another thread. The trick is to alternate sanding directions with each jump in grit, making sure to remove all signs of having used the lower grit. The final steps were using #2 and #5 polishing compound on a buffing wheel attachment for a dremel tool. A buffing wheel on a bench grinder would be much more effective if you have access.

Here's a couple more pics of the finished product.

Handle is wrapped in camo form gun wrap, very grippy, and the stuff only sticks to itself so it doesn't leave any residue behind.

I'll be serious in my reply.

I frequently have to wear face paint when out in the field. Remember, it doesn't just go on your face, but also your on and in your ears, and your neck. Basically everywhere that isn't covered by fabric. Eyelids, your nose, lips, etc. I only use green and brown paint. I don't touch non-earth tones because blacks and greys in most environments are target indicators

  1. I start with a base of green paint all over the exposed skin.
  2. From here there are a couple of options to apply the brown paint: blotches and stripes. Additionally, you can use a combination of blotches and stripes. I will cover the combination method
  3. I'll do splotches first. Basically, I'll apply blotches of brown to my hand, then press my hands together to create mirror of that. Then I'll press my hands to my face in different positions to get a randomized look.
  4. I'll then put brown paint on my fingertips and swipe across my fact.

You'll want to avoid putting dark colors on your nose since that can create a shadow and bring out the outline of your face as opposed to break up the outline. Even an untrained observer can pick out the human face and the 5 Vs of a human body, so be very conscious of this. A human face is incredibly recognizable to other human beings. Be cognizant of this.

Lastly, be sure you reapply every couple of hours, especially if using the camo paint that comes in tubes. Face paint has a tendency to fade with sweat, so be aware of that. I'm not sure if you're going to be doing a lot of stalking or whatever, but if you're doing that, always keep face camo on you.

    Hope this helps.

My park bag usually includes:

  • This is the bag I use. It's lightweight, sturdy, stowable, and the perfect size. You can usually find it on sale on Eddie Bauer's website.
  • An extra ziplock bag. (To keep stuff dry)
  • This personal fan for those hot days.
  • A buff.
  • Portable chargers.
  • A mini first aid kit.
  • A small tube of sunscreen.

Some unusual items I usually pack in my suitcase:

  • A surge protector for the hotel room - charging my phone, watch, camera, etc. at the end of the day.
  • This Chafing Relief Gel from Target is a lifesaver on my inner thighs.

There is a company on Amazon that sells AR-15 skins. They come in one huge roll of fabric so you have to cut it yourself but its fairly easy, only of few hours of actual work but it also is padded a little to protect it from being dropped. Hope this is what you were looking for!

u/sautros · 1 pointr/BeardedDragons

he looks pretty happy at the moment so it's probably just a relocation thing. from the pictures it looks like he doesn't have stress marks and his beard is looking pretty white.

I started bathing my baby beardie after a couple of days ownership, and I usually do it every day, or at least every couple of days. the trust just takes time. if you approach him and he opens his mouth then leave him be, if he doesn't, then go for it ant try take him out the enclosure for a bit. the little ones LOVE to explore, just got to be careful to keep a watchful eye on them at all times.

like others have said, you might want to consider putting a hide or some fake plants in there, they like climbing too.

i'm in the uk so i don't know how relevant these pages will be to you, but I decorated my tank with some fireproof camo netting and some fake plants like these:

It's always better to make it yourself.

I suggest getting,

A Rocotactical Viper Hood
(Any hood works but this one has an
optional cape attachment if you want that)

SomeGhillie Jute (get whatever fits best with your enviroment)

Tie the Jute to the hood, and then when you get to the came day, roll around in some leaves or just random loose foliage.

I saw a video from some guy who came up with a creative soulution to this issue. He painted the front portion (pretty much everything in front of the mag well a bright/florescent green color and then used something like this (link below) to wrap around the barrel, handgaurd, ect. That he would put on AFTER he got to the field, and remove it when he was done for the day. Granted he played at mostly wooded/grasslands areas, but maybe you could make a black one for urban places if that's where you play.

I've had one of these for a little over a year, and have used it to do a NUMBER of tasks. Honestly, if it came down to a PostCollapse, and I could only bring one tool with me to go scavenge for supplies, this would be it. Buddy of mine needed to tear down an old shed on his property, and asked me to come help. I brought this bad boy with me and literally took out a wall on my own in no time. I dunno about some of you that have used this thing, but I'm not a HUGE fan of the handle system. I have big hands, and this almost squared grip didn't feel right to me. Easy fix though, two rolls of [Camo Form] (http://www.amazon.com/Mcnett-Protective-Camouflage-Mossy-Shadow/dp/B000XYWO5W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1331171681&sr=8-1) provided not only a great, sticky textured and more rounded grip with plenty to hold on to, but it also acts as quite the shock absorb-er. I went with "snow," for my camo pattern simply because if I drop this thing in the dark, the bright white makes it VERY easy to find.

I wrap different colored self-sticking bandage wrap around the last inch and a half of my mags to differentiate my ammo. I cover the end plate completely, and it stays on pretty well and is very grippy and easy and pull out of pouches. I can also remove and reuse it (to a decent extent) for something else if I have to.

Also, what kind of rig is that?

u/NSAirsofter · 2 pointsr/airsoft

I ordered a ghillie rifle cover from Amazon and absolutely loved it.

I didn’t want to paint my hand guard so I found that tape.

McNett Tactical Camo Form Protective Camouflage Wrap, Snow, 2"x144" roll https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0028MH70E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_BgoTBb531YBWG

They make different patterns as well.

u/Van_Doofenschmirtz · 8 pointsr/curlyhair

It’s a stretchy headwear tube thing. I read about it on this board and have seen it on some curly IG posts.

I have tried wrapping with silk scarves, they always fall off by morning. I’ve also used silk pillow cases but my curls still get messed up. The pineapple definitely doesn’t work for me. It creates some weird shapes.

I’ve only tried the buff once, but it stayed put! I stretched it out, pulled it over my head like a necklace, then flipped upside down, extended the buff so it covered my hair. It stayed in all night.

I use this with some ghillie threading. It is very light and breathable. I also live in California and it works great

u/Funky0ne · 1 pointr/airsoft

Some people have already posted some good bases to start with, however by your somewhat low res image it looks like that is a 3D / leafy hood you want, so you may want to pick up a couple rolls of these in your preferred pattern to flourish it out with if you don't want to just use local foliage.

u/voicesinmyhand · 1 pointr/homedefense

If you are truly worried then just put a dust cover on them. They cost like 40 cents each at a LGS. Amazon has then as well, though at much higher cost.

u/texory · 2 pointsr/Bombing

First of all, you will need this here. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B006CU9P1C/ref=mp_s_a_1_fkmr1_2?qid=1454250309&sr=8-2-fkmr1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=molotow+can+beltttp://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B006CU9P1C/ref=mp_s_a_1_fkmr1_2?qid=1454250309&sr=8-2-fkmr1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=molotow+can+belt

No good writer goes out without one of these. They cost little and are multifunctional. For example, you can put there some 150ml paint cans, some apple juice and canned beans when you go out bombing with friends for a whole night.

u/DevinDeez36 · 3 pointsr/300BLK

Thanks. Sandman-K suppressor. The wrap is called Mcnett Camo Form
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000O1OWTA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_zVx-Bb2FZF25G

It sucks if your suppressor gets too hot cause it melts but it’s good for hunting

u/chuckufarlie · 3 pointsr/motocamping

Oxford makes a waterproof bag with a cable tunnel that you put a bike lock or cable through the face opening to secure: like this: https://gpbikes.com/street/oxford-lid-locker-lockable-helmet-bag.html

Can be used for pants and jacket as well.

The few times I have left my bike to go hiking a bit further in I was on the DRZ, so I rode it about 100' into the woods and threw some camo netting over it... not sure if anyone was even in the vicinity to see my bike or not, but the bike was still as I left it every time I came back: https://www.amazon.com/Camouflage-Netting-Sunshade-Camping-Shooting/dp/B01LXCB201/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1506106543&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=camo+netting&psc=1

Maybe he was talking about something like this GunSkins AR-15/M4 Rifle Skin Camouflage Kit DIY Vinyl Wrap with precut Pieces (Victory from Proveil Camo) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JJW9P1U/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_R6cUzb8HXEVK7

Hahahaha nooo it’s like this long fabric tube. Someone In here introduced them to me. link

u/rbgilbert · 1 pointr/BurningMan

Camo-netting makes great shade and lets most of the wind blow through, so you're much less likely to suffer grommet failure and flapping tarp.

Attach it to something very solid on your vehicle and use something to protect your vehicle's finish if the ropes touch it (or might touch it). Some of the guys in our camp wrap the ropes in pool noodles for that reason.

mudclub is right. Don't waste valuable shade by putting a yurt under it.

u/zxj4k3xz · 1 pointr/Nerf

Nah, this hood with thread tied on
