Reddit mentions: The best keyrings & keychains for women

I personally have tried 3 different sets of Key/Carry solutions. So I will tell you my impressions and let you make your decisions for yourself

I started looking a few weeks ago link here and tried the two I asked. I have a few $ to burn and figured I could give one away if I didn't like it.

KEYBINER

Keybiner is my EDC now for everything except for when I ride. I got the Titanium one. This thing is tough and it does not scratch easily. A little on the heavy side but I do like it and end up clipping it out of the way of my way for most of the time I have it on me. Implementation is easy and when they made a mistake (missing a screw) the guys over at Fortiusarms immediately sent me a new set of screws free and followed up with me. To me this is AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE and I plan on ordering my best friend one for his welcome home gift after he gets back from his tour.

Now this product isn't without its drawbacks. If you tighten the screws too tight they are hard to move; too little and they flop about. Also the "estimate amount of keys" is slightly off or my house keys are much larger than normal.

KeyPort

This is a pretty nifty idea and works well for my motorcycle when I carry. The reason this isn't my primary EDC is because of the bulk. I mean this thing is kind of thick in my pockets. I don't mind that most of the time but if you just throw on a couple of shorts and wanted to take the dog for a run this bangs around in your pocket a bunch (at least for me). Thier customers support is pretty good and I did not have a problem getting my keys done through them.

What I think you might be looking for though is this

KEYSMART
I also own this. It is a nice bar size and is pretty good overall. Same torque lock in method as the Keybiner, but no hook to hook on. It is a mixture between the KeyPort and the KeyBiner. I ordered the (2-10) key version and liked it at first, but it didn't suit my needs at all. I could not fit more than 4 keys in it, and if I didn't shave some of my keys down it would stick out and not close correctly. House keys and lock keys work fine, but motorcycle and anything with a rubber head protector tended to be too bulky. The vibrations also would loosen the tightness of the lock so when I ride the device would fold in on itself or hit my cluster.

This does work well though if you don't mind tossing your keys into a bag or want to keep it slim and thin.

Most people are doing the Name Game so I am going to do the Your Item.

So, some may ask why a semi-normal and kind of adjusted 30 year old has THIS Donald Duck keychain on my list... Well, let me tell you a story.

When I was 3 years old, my parents were going through a divorce and my mom and grandma decided to take me to Disney World to get my mind off things. I religiously watched the Disney Channel when they would have those free promotional weeks and had a huge fascination with Donald Duck (sorry /u/gmsc). I watched all of his cartoons and was completely enamored.

While we were on our vacation, we went to one of those Character Breakfasts and I kept searching for my beloved in between "dippy eggs" and Mickey Mouse pancakes. Finally, that sexy duck walked in and my heart soared! I grabbed some of the crayons on the table and furiously scribbled onto my placemat a photo that, in my mind, depicted me and Donald getting married. I asked my mom how to write "Will You Marry Me?" and copied it in my three-year-old handwriting under my masterpiece.

My mom wouldn't let me get up from the table and run over to my betrothed so I had to patiently for Donald and his handler to come to the table. FINALLY, he came over and I hugged the shit out of that sexy duck. I handed him the paper I drew for him and his handler read it to him. Donald gave me a big hug and the handler told me to wait a minute. He and Donald disappeared behind a mysterious (Cast Only) door. I was heartbroken. Had he just said no to my proposal!?

All of a sudden, I heard my name being called from the little stage. There was Donald and his handler! They motioned me over and then Donald got on his knee and presented me with a beautiful diamond (plastic crappy) ring. Of course I said yes and kissed him on his bill!

27 years later, I am still waiting for our wedding. I'm beginning to have suspicions of that bitch Daisy but I am still holding out hope. This key chain will be a reminder of our love every time I drive my car :)

If you want to still keep your work keys on a separate ring from your house keys, you could try something like the Free Key System.

Otherwise, you could try something like the Keysmart, and put your 5 keys in that, and then just have that, the car key, and the fob on the ring.

I personally use the Keysmart, and it's been great so far. I've had mine for a few months already, and it's held up great. My best friend has had one for several years, and his is also in great condition.

I also recommend a suspension clip, I've been using this one by Keysmart recently, so I just drop my keys in my pocket but hook them on the top of my pocket. That makes it easier to pull the keys out of your pocket, and also keeps them dangling in your pocket as opposed to bunching up at the bottom.

Keysmart

Bought one a while ago. It seemed a little silly dropping $15+ for a keychain, but I'm pretty happy with it. Keys are slimmer, quieter, more organized, etc. It sort of replaces your ring of loose keys with something more like the form of a single pocket knife. Added a shard like multitool (not the KS one, bought a cheaper alternate version on amazon), so it just fits in one of the key spots, but its a reasonably-good-enough bottle opener/ruler/mini-pry bar/flathead screwdriver/cutting tool/package opener

This is the exact one I got. I only use it for 4-keys. It came with extensions, so i could probably fit another 2-keys tops. If you see my earlier post, you can note that to be affective, the supplied washers need to be on either side of each key. Well, they take up space and make it tight, but it works great. I can only comment on 6-keys worth. If you have more than that, I would continue researching.

I got my Clow book years and years ago on Ebay, sadly the back of it now has sun damage but they are really nice cards.

Etsy likely has homemade clear card ones, but they will (understandably) be pricey. Amazon has a couple nice sets as well, including the Sakura cards.

There's a huge difference in size. OP is holding that one in his hand, and I would guess maybe 7" bow to shoes? The one linked on coach site is:

Looking around the internet, it seems they made key chain size and the full size linked there. Of course the bigger ones are more expensive and more detailed.

Here's a picture of some of the key chain ones. I wouldn't be surprised if the one OP took a picture of was the bag charm.

I had this same setup but switched from the big freekey ring in the middle to a cable/wire keyring. I left all the individual items on the small rings but have them all on the cable ring now. That gives them a lot of room to move and flexibility so they never get uncomfortably wedged in my pocket. You can get them in colors or just stainless - here's an example on Amazon

I haven't tried it myself, but I would think split rings in an appropriate size would work, something like this:

I guess they could maybe catch on the yarn, but I'm assuming you're using something with a little heft, and I wouldn't think that a heavier weight yarn would catch on these. Just a thought!
