Alright, first...Happy Early Birthday!!!

Now on to face things.

Skincare

First of all you should check out r/skincareaddiction. Even if you don't want to join the community the FAQ is great.

What I do for my normal/oily skin is every morning and every night I wash with CeraVe Foaming Face Wash which is recommended for oilier skin. So you might want to check that out.

Every 3 days or so I exfoliate with Epicuren which is just from my mom's shop but it's a nice deep scrubs without being too abrasive. You don't want abrasive like with say St. Ive Apricot scrub because you're actually tearing your skin and that's just not very nice. You want to gently exfoliate.

Once a week I use a LUSH face mask. My favorite is Love Lettuce because it's refreshing and exfoliating. Second favorite is definitely Cupcake. I feel so clean and bright after it.

Wipe off your makeup before you go to bed. It's bad for your skin and bad for your sheets. Whatever you do to take it off, just get it off. I use vaseline. It's cheap and easy on my sensitive skin.

Clean your brushes. Clean them. Seriously. What I do is after every makeup application I get a tissue and something with and edge like the edge of my dresser and I wipe the brush over the tissue over the edge to get all the excess makeup out. Then every 2 weeks I do a deep clean. Get a bar of some kind (towel rack, clothes hanger) and rubber bands. Get some warm, running water, and either some baby shampoo or some brush cleaner (though honestly I just use shampoo) and wet your brushes, bristles pointing downwards always. You don't want to get water trapped inside the little metal/plastic attaching ring thingy. Add a dot of shampoo to your hand and swish that brush around. It'll be gross. Good. You'll always remember to do it now that you know how gross your brushes get. Rinse bristles down. Dry bristles down by wrapping the rubber band around the handle and attaching to your rod/hanger.

Makeup

This is what I cannot live without

  1. Naked Basics. This is the best $27 I have ever spent in my life. I use it every single friggin day. All of the colors are perfect neutral mattes from lightest light to darkest dark. I even use one of the colors to fill my eyebrows. It's perfect.

  2. Wet n Wild Liquid Liner. I've become a liquid liner addict. It really helps make it look like I have eyelashes. The brush is very firm and very thin so I always end up with a line where I want it.

  3. Urban Decay 24/7 glide on liner in Smoke. I have very light eye lashes. So I tight line.. Trust me. You want to tight line.

  4. Clump Crusher I love this mascara. It really is non-clumping and while it doesn't give me the longest lashes in the world it makes them look fuller because there's no clumps.

  5. Smashbox BB Cream. This is just the BB cream I use. It does what all the BB creams do but I happen to match the 'Fair' color very well.

  6. Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer. This shit smells like chocolate. I'm not even joking. I'm new to bronzer, but it's perfect for my skin tone.

  7. Sephora Blush. I'm still learning about blushes but I like that this one is matte. I'm not a sparkle face girl.

  8. Lipstick. I have too many to choose. See this comment I did where I swatch and rated every lipstick I have.

  9. E.L.F eye shadow primer You need primer. No. You need it.

    Makeup For You

So if you're just starting out again you don't want to go spending a stupid amount of money before you figure out what you like. So here are my suggestions for you specifically.

  10. Eyeshadow. Now if you can afford it, I highly recommend Urban Decay Naked Basics. But that's $27. So in lieu of that I suggest you get some Wet n Wild Eyeshadows. Maybe this one or this one.

  11. Eye shadow primer. Go to target and find the ELF section and get primer. It's a dollar and it will make your eye shadow amazing. No reapplying no smudging no creasing. Just perfect perfect eyes. It comes in other colors too, you may want to get a shade darker if you want to match your skin tone.

  12. Eyeliner. I would say get a pencil in either black or dark brown. I don't know if liquid liner is right for your eye shape but if you want to give it a go then you do whatever you want; it's your face.

  13. Eyelashes. Get a lash curler. Two to three curls and you should be good. I'd say black mascara for you.

  14. Eyebrows. I'm not an eyebrow expert but you're probably going to want to shape and fill in your eye brows (unless you love them just the way they are). For shape I'd go to a professional first before you wax at home or go plucking away. Then for filling in you can just use an eyebrow kit. Although I've heard complaint that dark eyebrows are the hardest to find a matching color for :(

  15. BB Cream. I hear Etude house kicks butt and it won't break your bank.

  16. Concealer. I love Maybelline 24 Hour Superstay Concealer it's awesome. You want to blend that stuff too, don't just dot it on.

  17. Blush. I think maybe a peachy blush but pictures don't always show stuff right for skin tone so maybe you need pink. I can't really tell.

  18. Bronzer. You've got great cheek bones. I would skip this for now. Unless you're super gungho in which case: I'd check out The Balm.

  19. Lipstick. Cheap and amazing lipstick is NYX and I think a nice natural shade would look great on you. But seriously, if you live near an ulta, nyx is like $3.99-$5.99 for lipstick. It's amazing. Or everyone goes gaga for these Etude House Bunny Glosses.

Anyway, I think you look really great and that's the best start is being confident and having a natural beauty. Also I love your hair. But if you have any questions just let me know :)

Oh bananas!!! You're so freaking sweet!!! I'm so happy you chatted with all of us last night, it was so fun!

Here are my go to's in my collection (Also, all Korean cosmetic links are to BeautynetKorea (where the shipping is free) or RoseRoseShop (where it's cheap), and all others are from Amazon. But shop around before ordering just in case!):

  • Etude House Goodbye Pore Ever primer OR Too Faced Primed and Poreless primer - Both primers are wonderful and really help even out my skin tone! I feel that Etude House minimizes my pores better, but the Too Faced primer is pigmented, so it offers more coverage. Both are matte when you put them on!

  • Nature Republic's By Flower BB Cream - I LOVE THIS STUFF. Hands down it's my Holy Grail BB. It was a perfect color match for me, evened out my skin tone, and didn't melt away during the day! It had some great staying power and smelled nice and light as well. I have an oily t-zone, and it really stayed quite nicely compared to my other makeup! For reference, I used shade 2 for mine, and I'm an N5 in MAC Studio Fix powder.

  • Tarte Amazonian Clay powder blush in Dollface OR MAC powder blush in Fleur Power - Both of these blushes are my ABSOLUTE FAVORITES. They're both kind of pinky colors, with Dollface being more of a "Barbie pink" with blue undertones, and Fleur Power a bit more "dusty rose". They both go on so naturally and beautiful, and have wonderful saying power. (Though be careful with Tarte's, if you have a heavy hand it might go on waaay too much, haha!)

  • Tarte Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder - This is my holy grail item, no question about it. This powder really mattifies my oily face and helps my makeup last so much longer before the first signs of shine appear. I can even dust it on halfway through the day to re-mattify everything!

  • Covergirl Lineblast 24 hour liquid eyeliner - This is my favorite liquid liner I've tried! The applicator is nice and small, so it's easy to maneuver and SO much easier to make winged liner than a brush. It stays all day long, too!

  • Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes! Mascara - This mascara makes my lashes stand out, look natural, and it helps keep the volume all day as well!

  • Tonymoly Petit Bunny Gloss Bar in Neon Orange - The bar is nice and lightly orange scented, and adds just enough orange tint to your lips to make them pop! On me personally, the orange kind of mixes with my natural lip color and gives them more of a natural coral color.

  • MAC lipstick in Mocha - This is my "perfect for every outfit" lipstick. It looks great when I dress up, and can give more of a polished look for my day to day as well!

  • Tarte Matte Lipsurgence in Exposed - It's a very similar color to MAC Mocha, but this has a matte finish! Plus is makes my lips tingly and almost minty when I put it on!

  • NYX Matte Lipstick in Perfect Red - Straight up, this is my perfect red. It has cooler/ more blue undertones than most other reds I've tried, and it looks absolutely beautiful!

  • Nivea Lip Butter - I wear this stuff religiously when I go to bed, it's perfect for moisturizing my lips at night so they're soft the next day! Also, it gives a cute shine if I don't feel like wearing any colored lip product during the day.

Shoot, I hope that wasn't too much, I just have a lot of favorites!! xD
u/Feeling_Pretty · 1 pointr/RandomActsofMakeup

My favorite makeup has to be blushes. NYX blushes is a really good product. Pigmented, blendable, and the price is just right.

Revlon's Lip Butters is a great lip product. It's kind of like a lipstick and lip balm hybrid. It's somewhat sheer, but depending on the shade you get it can be bold.

Eyeliners...gel eyeliners work really well and it's actually pretty easy to apply too. Maybelline Eyestuido gel eyeliner is one the best gel eyeliner. Waterproof, doesn't smudge, and it glides really well.

Mascaras! Drugstore and high end mascaras work the stay, so I say don't get a high end (unless you have the money to spend of course). Covergirl mascara is really good and everyone really likes their Clump Crusher and Maybelline mascaras are also very good. The Falsies is one of Maybelline's most popular mascaras. Both comes in waterproof, they can hold a curl really well, won't clump your lashes, and of course, they add volume and length!

u/honda_kitty · 2 pointsr/RandomActsofMakeup

Wow, there are some really awesome recommendations and many of which you purchased already.

First, I'll say it a million times. The Lorac Pro Palette. I cannot live without mine.

Secondly, a BB cream. I would recommend trying a Holika Holika sometime in your life :)

Thirdly, I would die for your lips, please get yourself a MAC red lipstick, I don't even care which LOL. I have Russian Red and adore it. If you don't want to take the plunge get NYX Perfect Red Matte I love this lipstick so much.

My fav skin product is Vivant 3 in 1

Lastly, if you want a nice, dramatic, easy to work with eyeliner This is a felt tip with a little practice you can get a great wing with it. It does rub off easy though, so be careful :)

Good luck with your shopping!

Pixiwoo makes some good tutorials, although I wouldn't really call them basic but they still might help.

Here is a list of some of my makeup staples. The stuff I don't get at Sephora I pick up at Target or CVS.

Chanel Double Perfection foundation.

NARS Blush I've loved every NARS product I've tried.

Physicians Formula Eyeliner. Just a swipe on your upper lid is pretty easy to do and makes a big difference.

Laura Mercier Brow Pencil. This makes such a huge difference for my face, my brows are thin due to years of overplucking but when I fill them in and shape them a bit it makes a world of difference. It can be a little tricky making a good shape but here is the tutorial I used to learn how to do mine (I don't use that little brush thingee she uses though, I just use a Q-tip after to blend it just a tad).
http://youtu.be/x1deBiR4d0Y

Sephora Brand Bronzer in Los Cabos. It looks really dark but I'm pretty pale and a light dusting of this during summer gives me just enough tint to make a difference but not look ruddy.

Maybelline Volum' Express The Falsies

REVLON Colorburst Lip Butters.

NARS Lipstick

If you're going to make a Sephora trip I suggest going on the website and compiling a wish list of thing you want to check out. Depending on the size of your Sephora it can be a little overwhelming. I highly recommend the Sephora brand products too, they're usually pretty cheap and I've loved nearly everything I've tried.

u/apidae92 · 55 pointsr/AsianBeauty

Hellooo! I just got my 2nd amazon global order today!! I'm so happy.

If you're a make up wearer, a spray SPF might be useful, I got this in my order

An affordable rice brand/germ oil recommended by ratzilla

$3 sunscreen alcohol free! There's different versions but here's the basic (light grapefruit scent, dries matte but quite oily feeling as it goes on, very runny, a little white cast)

Here is a cream I have my eyes after, it has astaxanthin, a powderful anti oxidant that I really like using under my sunscreen (along with vit c). I haven't used it, I'm currently using a cream from sana with astaxanthin in and but it's becoming drying for me now we're in the winter here even in texas. The cream looks very nourishing if you translate the ingredients

minon amino moist emulsion I really love emulsions in my routine, I find they just plump up the skin and my skin holds onto it all day better rather than just light lotions. This emulsion is highly ranked in JP and is more affordable here than on amazon USA (but it is available for prime in usa)

ettusais lip essence it's soooo good. It's quite expensive though even at retail, but if you feel like treating your self... keep your eyes out for the collab versions, i think you can also find winnie the pooh ones right now on amazon global.

here is an minon amino moist trial kit that is quite affordable and has a nice array of items to try!

EDIT here is my wish list with random bits and bobs too! http://amzn.asia/7Muyfhw

I have 32 of them, and overall, they're my favorite lip product. I really, really love them. I love the ability to mix my own colors, and I love their staying power when applied in a specific way.

Some of the cons are: relatively high price point, tendency to dry lips, accentuation of lip lines, inconvenience of reapplication, and questionable staying power that seems to vary between colors.

Some of those problems can be ameliorated pretty easily. You can avoid the high price by buying them on eBay and /r/makeupexchange. You can avoid the drying effects by using a balm or primer underneath. You can stop the bleeding with a clear lip liner around your lips. You can reapply them using a retractable lip brush when you're on the go. You can help their lasting power depending on how you apply them. One thin coat, blotting, another thin coat, and more blotting seems to help transfer for most people.

Here's something my friend wrote on Facebook today:

>I stopped by Kroger to grab a few things for lunch...some lunch meat, a bag of chips, a 2 liter and a couple other small things. I have a tigers shirt on so this older gentleman says are they going to win tonight? I said I hope so and we chatted for a minute about the tigers as we walked up to the register. He let me go ahead of him. The cashier rang all of my stuff up and as I went to pay I realized I left my wallet in the truck. I asked her to suspend my order really quick so I didn't hold up the line. I ran to the truck and back in for them to tell me he paid for my groceries. I thanked the man and we walked out together. As we parted ways he said Let's hope your boys win tonight. What a good guy!! I don't care what people say about Detroit and the surrounding area..I will always be proud to call it home.

There are still good people everywhere. Keep your head up!

I would love this, thanks! (It's in my < $5ish WL)

I don't know if your contest extends to Canada, but either way I'd like to enjoy a Peach Parfait as a sweet treat. :)

u/erkala21 · 12 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

Lipcote helps, but it's not a miracle worker. I find it works best on formulas that are already great for staying power, particularly mattes, but this just makes it even better. A lot of people don't like it because it smells like nail polish and leaves a tingly feeling for a minute, but I use it regularly and don't mind.

Toyko Milk hand creme (octopus)

NYX indie flick

I love octopi and makeup, so I'm requesting one of each. I actually have an Octopus tattoo. I call him Pedo Pus because he has those little creepster squinty eyes and he's making a heart with his tenacles!

All my lip products are NYX except for one Revlon item. Which is important because where I live there are no makeup stores other than drug stores, so if I want something I have to order it offline, which means I don't get to see it in person first. I just discovered we have some high end makeup counters in town, but I don't want to spend 30 bucks on a lipstick.

Also I got an interview and was invited to a second interview at above mentioned makeup counter. I am calling tomorrow about my second interview because the manager has been out of town, so I haven't had it yet. If I get this job it will be double the most I've ever made at a job! So I'm super excited!!

Edit- Schmad on my add on

u/RumpleAndBelle · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I have a few of those pain in the butt add-ons, Can I list more than one and if I win you can choose which to get? I love these facial wipes they work wonders and leave my face feeling great, I don't have a lot of lip colors and usually like more natural tones I would love this lip butter. I also have these add ons: One,
add-ons are pesky

u/projectedwinner · 2 pointsr/RandomActsofMakeup

Yay for spring birthdays (mine is in a week). Happy birthday! It's my party! Thank you for hosting! So many exclamation marks!!!1!!

Because I'm exploring bold lips after years of MLBBs, I would pick Mac Russian Red lipstick for my birthday. And if I don't win, that might be what I steer my boyfriend toward. :) I have that Sleek palette in my wish list, and really, it was hard to choose between the lipstick and a Sleek palette.

u/r9s9e · 2 pointsr/RandomActsofMakeup

It's funny that the reddit raffle word is neil, because my favorite author is Neal Shusterman, which is close haha. My favorite series by him is the skinjacker trilogy,(Everlost) but he has a whole bunch of books outside of that series which are amazing as well. Here is my item (one of the sellers has it for $4.96 plus free shipping)

Oooh!!! this is super generous of you! Thanks for spreading the love!

I am IN LOVE with this one: Ultimate Beige

u/ssinns · 1 pointr/RandomActsofMakeup

Congrats and I hope you do great things with that BIG MONEY!!

I've currently been wanting THIS in l'cole des femmes because I can't really find a color close to it and that KVD packaging is umph!! and THIS because I rarely wear lipstick unless its a lipstick that stays. hopefully this thing will help w/ lipstick longevity!

u/ceairaraptor · 1 pointr/RandomActsofMakeup

Oh man, earworms, you never cease to amaze me! Thanks so much for allowing one of us to benefit from the YSL Mystery Glammer !!

They all look gorgeous, and I don't even know where to start! I think I'l go with the basics and potentially request Nude Beige. Looks like a great everyday lipstick!

u/breezy727 · 1 pointr/RandomActsofMakeup

Sounds like fun!!

I'm Bree and my favorite current product is my Too Faced Hot Cocoa bronzing powder I was glammed as a contest win about a week ago. I'm still trying to perfect a favorite look, but for me it's a subtle smoky eye with light blush and bronzer, plus a bright pink/peach lip. I still can't decide if I look ridiculous when I do it all though, we'll see.

My interesting fact is that Wisconsin (the state I'm currently living in), has more bars per capita than any other state in the union. There's also more drunk drivers in Wisconsin than anywhere else... probably not so good.

Here's a lipstick in Indie Flick that I've been wanting to get my hands on.

Thanks for the contest!

The lip color is Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in 025: Peach Parfait. CAN YOU BELIEVE MY MOM DIDN'T WANT THIS AND JUST GAVE IT TO ME BRAND NEW?! It actually looks way better in person than I could capture with my crappy selfies. I'd like to note that it's way pinkier on me and in person than it is in the pictures on Amazon, not sure why that is (maybe it would go on more like those pictures if I were to use LipErase or some such product first). It's quite sparkly regardless!

I like my brow shape but the hairs are so looong and go astray all the time. Texture-wise (if that makes sense?) I would much prefer it if my brows were more like my friend's brows here. How do I get them like this? I'm sooo afraid to trim them short myself! I've had my brows waxed before but never groomed like this. Who do I go to?

You've made a strange request but since you took the time to type all this up for me I will honor it!

u/violetvixen69 · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I have two tattoos, but they are small. I got the first one when I was 18 and the second(wrist triangle) last summer.

I have four tattoos that I really want to get and I'm planning to use them as a reward to myself for gaining weight (I have had an eating disorder since I was 15 and I need some sort of motivation to recover from my most recent relapse).

These are three of the ones that I want, but I want the poppies on my left shoulder blade and smaller and I'm not sure where I want the fox and the Dachshund. for the fourth I want the phases of the moon.

Here is my Alice in Wonderland inspired makeup (eye makeup only - my face makeup is messy from work and my hair is not Alice-y at all, haha). I wanted to do an Alice look because a) Alice is a badass, and b) I've never really done anything with these colours before. It was fun!

Umm and I just noticed that I don't have one item that is close to $20, so I will just link something I really want, which is this. Adding this would bring the total closer to $20 before shipping but if you only wanna do one thing that's totally cool!

Thanks for hosting the contest!! And post pics of your tattoo when you get it!! :D

You might just need a better liner and some primer. I'd suggest the MUFE Lip Line Perfector, it's another reverse liner that works fabulously. Goes on clear and stays all day. I think it's a must when wearing darker colors, and it seems to be one of the best reverse lip liners out there.

A primer like Too Faced Lip Insurance could also help, and if you really want to keep that shit on lock, you could throw on some Lipcote Lipstick Sealer. Dita Von Teese claims it keeps her lipstick on even through BJs.

My favorite of all time is [Stila's Stay All Day Liquid Lip Color in Fiery.] (http://www.amazon.com/Stila-Cosmetics-Liquid-Color-Fiery/dp/B007ZUGBU6/ref=sr_1_2_m?ie=UTF8&qid=1369076760&sr=8-2&keywords=stila+fiery) It's a deep, yet vibrant, bright red, and it's sooo flattering on so many skin tones!

u/unicorndanceparty · 1 pointr/RandomActsofMakeup

I'm really excited to branch out and start using more lip colors, so this NYX Matte Lipstick would be great! Any you must prepare yourself to be frightened by my face!. Also, hopscotch :) Thanks for holding this contest!

u/KatanaAvion · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

It isn't a stain, but it seems to be pretty long lasting.

It is NYX Professional Makeup Perfect Red Matte Lipstick.

I just made this for dinner last night, and it's amazing. It seriously tastes like something you'd pay at least $15 at a restaurant. I hope you aren't a vegetarian!

And I'd like this!

u/ChiChaiMonchan · 1 pointr/RandomActsofMakeup

Okay! So my favorite item would be the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner! Whoa that's a mouthful, lol. I like it because it seriously stays all day! I even jumped into the shower with it and it didn't budge at all! It's my must-have eyeliner FOREVER! <3

Sunflowers are my absolute favorite flower! I grew up with a flower nursery behind my house so I had the luxury of romping around the greenhouses for fun. They had a lot of land and on it had a field of sunflowers. I took this a few summers ago :)

Spring color!

u/ListenToTheMusic · 1 pointr/RandomActsofMakeup

This eyeliner pencil is $3.59 or this lipstick is $4.35, both with free shipping! Thanks :)

u/Tadiera · 1 pointr/RandomActsofMakeup

I hope it's alright to have added a YSL lippie to my wishlist for this. I've always tried to avoid the more expensive stuff under the assumption that... no one would ever afford it, I can't afford it, and I'm afraid of looking... I dunno. (Social anxiety go!)

Anyhow... This is the one I'd love: http://www.amazon.com/Yves-Saint-Laurent-Rouge-Lipstick/dp/B004385V1I/

I've always bought these pinkish lippies over the years and only recently really realized I look best with dark reds, purples, etc.

YSL Mystery Glammer

u/FeudalCrayon · 3 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

iirc, they're readily available if you're in the UK, but you can purchase it off amazon

I haven't personally used it, but it sounds like a pretty solid product!

u/ACosmicOlive · 3 pointsr/RandomActsofMakeup

OHHH Thanks for hosting

Here are some sweet treats for me :)

Fig

Pumpkin Pie

and....

Mango

u/dunnowhatnametouse · 1 pointr/RandomActsofMakeup

$4.35 with free shipping for this popular RAoM favorite. :) NYX lipstick in Fig. <3

u/prynceszh · 1 pointr/RandomActsofMakeup

I don't own a YSL lipstick, or any high end lipstick for that matter! If I won, I would love to receive YSL Rouge Volupte in 03 Ultimate Beige. I think I found an Amazon link for it? Here: http://www.amazon.com/Yves-Saint-Laurent-Lipstick-Ultimate/dp/B002Y4PMYE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1418150453&sr=8-1&keywords=yves+saint+laurent+03+beige

The picture is wrong I think but the title is correct. Thanks, YSL Mystery Glammer!

u/bekfairr · 3 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

Try Lipcote. It's about £3/4 and it works a charm. I always forget I have lipstick on but Lipcote over the top stops it from smearing all over my chin and hand. I would suggest waiting for your lipstick to dry or set a little first otherwise you'll fetch the product straight off. Also wipe the wand off before you put it back in the tube unless you want the entire tube to pick up the colour of your lipstick!

u/mentlegens · 1 pointr/MakeupAddiction

Target might be your best bet then, perhaps! Apparently, Pacific Mall is good to go for NYX stuff too! If not, maybe you could order it off Amazon?

u/creativexangst · 1 pointr/RandomActsofMakeup

Im a NYX lipstick addict, and need this to complete my collection.

Congrats on your $10 winner!!

u/jojewels92 · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

How about quill? Not exactly what you asked for but animal related!

I love animals too!

Item from my makeup list.

u/atomsragingbileduct · 2 pointsr/AsianBeauty

sun bears! if you order it through rakuten, you can find it as low as $3ish per bottle!

i’ve tried so many other sunscreens (shiseido anessa, josie maran argan daily moisturizer, tatcha) and i keep coming back to this. it goes on white but fades quickly, even on my nc45ish skin. it doesn’t burn my eyes, doesn’t cause any irritation, and plays well with my other products. every time i try out some new and exotic sunscreen, i come back to this! i think it’s also alcohol-free, not sure about fragrance.

another option i would recommend: supergoop makes an “invisible” chemical sunscreen that’s spf 40 and pa+++ but it’s soooo invisible it freaks me out. i want to see where i’m applying it so i know if i’ve missed any spots, you know? that said, i would still recommend it.

hope this helps!

u/cheakie · 1 pointr/RandomActsofMakeup

I thought I was finally going to find out who the YSL Mystery Glammer was! So generous of you to share though :)

I've always wanted a good nude lip colour, and this one looks amazing! (For some reason the "preview" pic keeps changing but it says its "nude beige" so hopefully it's not a fake amazon account or something)

u/modestmousie · 1 pointr/RandomActsofMakeup

You can also try Lipcote! It's a clear lipstick sealant that will lock in your color and will take care of any transfer. Its available on amazon here!

u/No_Beating_The_Busch · 3 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

Lipstick dries me out, finds it's way into every cakey crevice on my lips & it never stays through drinking, eating, etc. Does lipstick "sealer" really work? Something like this. Can I put lip-gloss/balm over it?

If the magic is real, any suggestions on which one? Something cheap (like under $15) would be fabulous.

u/CaptainMcFisticuffs · 25 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

[GIRL I GOT YOU] (http://www.amazon.com/Lipcote-Lip-8471-Lipstick-Sealer/dp/B003RVV82S)

I couldn't find it in stores but you can get it on amazon pretty cheap!

u/airbubble · 1 pointr/RandomActsofMakeup

Nice contest! Very simple :)

Lipcote looks so awesome

u/residingrebel · 2 pointsr/RandomActsofMakeup

I have been eyeing this liquid lip color in fiery for a while :) thanks for hosting!

u/moon-sun1015 · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

$4.91 lipstick! Thanks for the contest :)

u/allycakes13 · 1 pointr/RandomActsofMakeup

I have yet to meet the YSL mystery glammer, but at least we can rule you out. I don't own any because they're a bit too expensive for me. However, if I could pick, it would be this Nude Beige. It's so beautiful, just like you, eat worms. ;)

u/lhpeanut46 · 3 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

Lipcote is the shit!

Super awesome at sealing lip products. I have big lips too, and chinstick is a pain.

u/belleinpink · 1 pointr/weddingplanning

I highly recommend purchasing something like this that'll help seal your lipstick no matter which one you use.

u/okkraa · 1 pointr/makeupexchange

I found Licorice on Amazon.co.uk with free shipping but couldn't find Fireball at all: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00I48BHSO?psc=1

Here are some other sites that have a bunch of different color options. It says they ship to the United Kingdom, but you probably know more about that kind of shipping stuff than I do:

u/bmwarrior · 1 pointr/MakeupAddiction

Oh, any skin tone can pull off red lips when done properly!

I've been a long-time fan of MAC (specifically Russian Red), but thanks to your post, I think that Nyx's Monte Carlo may be my new squeeze. Going to go pick it up this week.

u/madamedepompadour1 · 4 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

I've heard good things about Lipcote which is about 3x the size as the ABH one for like $6 less.

u/false_parallax · 1 pointr/RandomActsofMakeup

I got 5 on it :D

My top five are:

  • Naked Palette
  • Too Faced Shadow Insurance
  • Maybelline Fit Me Concealer (in 220 - Medium)
  • Revlon Lip Butter (in Pink Truffle)
  • My Beautyblender! (tools count, right?!)

Here's the item $5 total from Extreme Discounts Warehouse
u/zenzizenzizenzike · 1 pointr/MakeupAddiction

It's a lipstick sealer. I love it.

u/dellollipop · 16 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

I would try either a liquid lipstick, which will probably last through a party. Or, if you have a lipstick in mind that you want to wear but transfers maybe try Lipcote.

Edit: Oh. I realized you didn't mean your lipstick. Let's try this again. I would spray first with MAC Fix+ (or another setting spray), then the Urban Decay All-Nighter. At that point, your makeup should be bullet-proof. Here's a great post that explains how to use setting and fixing sprays to, and I quote, lock that motha in.

u/malapropistic · 5 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003RVV82S/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1407811631&sr=8-1&pi=SY200_QL40

Ends up being around$15 now that I look at it but it's well worth it with how much you get

u/SchultzAL · 1 pointr/AustralianMakeup

The VelourLips did the same thing to me, yesterday. I think matte liquids are just not for me, so I'm going to try out a matte lipstick. I'm also looking at getting something like Lipcote, but I'm sure that won't leave a matte finish.

u/alligate · 2 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

Don't know if you can get it shipped to where you are , but I swear by Lipcote you can buy it in any makeup shop/chemist in the UK :)

u/greatballsofmeow · 2 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

You could try lipcote. Mine just got here yesterday so I haven't had a good chance to test it out but I've heard a lot of good stuff about it.

u/MissHedonism · 3 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

Yes! Lipcote!

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003RVV82S/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1407811631&sr=8-1&pi=SY200_QL40

Also, if you don't want to order online, I think it's available for purchase at Bed Bath and Beyond:)

u/kornberg · 2 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

Apply one coat of lipstick, blot, apply Lipcote, wait for 1-2 minutes for it to dry, apply another coat of Lipcote if desired. Your lipstick will stay on all day and it will not transfer. I wear it every day.

u/shandymare · 3 pointsr/SkincareAddiction

Quick look at the ingredients and it apparently has pine wood resin in it which is weird and sounds like it could be irritating. The Thinkbaby one has it too and now that I think about it it did have a strong scent and I never repurchased it so maybe it bothered my skin too.

I use Blue Lizard on my kids but it's quite thick and will leave a white cast if you aren't very pale. I recommend these Japanese baby milk sunscreens if you want non-irritating protection that spreads nicely:

https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B00TJEOGS0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B00U8C5JVK/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=AN1VRQENFRJN5

The last one has chemical filters and I think grapefruit extract. I have sensitive skin and it doesn't bother me but just warning you.

u/13emily13 · 3 pointsr/makeupexchange

I unfortunately don't have this item for you, but I found it here on Amazon! It's an add-on item which sucks, BUT it says you can receive it by Wednesday if you choose One-Day shipping at checkout!

EDIT: Here's a more expensive version by Anastasia Beverly Hills. It costs 10 dollars more, but isn't an add-on, and also can get there on Thursday with 2 day shipping :)

u/jkkldfgjklfkl · 1 pointr/femalefashionadvice

You can also try this stuff! It's a waterproof lipstick sealant and it keeps stuff on your lips / keeps your lipstick off stuff very well, IME. I do find it a bit drying, but then dries my lips out, so it's probably no more drying than any other lip product. It comes off with oil or makeup remover.

u/beanx · 2 pointsr/makeupexchange

I didn't see the OCC comment - but MAN this crap totally works. Craziness!! it's dis stuff!
