Hi Mamasita,

I love your name :) It sounds like you really need some serious assistance.

From a practical perspective, I agree that you need to make it very visibly obvious that the home is now in possession of different people. Would it be possible for the landlord to put in motion sensor lighting? Even fake cameras in highly visible locations could help.

To assist with the home energetics, I have a few ideas.

Someone suggested a book to me when I needed protection, and it really helped me, so I want to pass on the favor. It's a book by the Gallery of Magick called Magickal Protection. I know this may seem totally wild, but what finally sold me on trying it was all the amazing reviews on Amazon. There are rituals in there for all sorts of issues from rude neighbors through discarnate beings. It worked for me. https://www.amazon.com/Magickal-Protection-Against-Bullies-Violence-ebook/dp/B00UL9VFUO.

If you feel that the vibration in the house is low, which may very well be the case if no one has done any purification in the home, then others have suggested some great ideas. In addition to sage, plain salt is cheap and effective. You can place it in the corners of each room, the exterior corners of the property and the house itself. You can put salt water in bowls in each room and even under the bed (make sure to use disposable containers). And you can also use it as an all over body scrub. I keep some in a mason jar in the shower and use it a few times a week, with the intention of clearing anything that is not mine, and anything that is mine that is not serving me. You are an energetic being and if the home has issues and you sleep there, it's easy to be affected to it's important to clear yourself regularly as well.

Inside, a few easy-care plants help lighten the vibe of a home as well.

For serious energetic issues, there's a very effective incense available at Lucky Mojo called Tibetan Ghost Purging Incense. It's like sage x 100. Unfortunately their delivery seems to take a long time so be aware of that. http://www.luckymojo.com/tibetanghostpurgingincense.html

Ringing a bell loudly throughout the home is a really fast was to shift the energy. To keep it clear, you can find crystal or Tibetan singing bowl music, something that you like on Youtube or Spotify and play it as background music, even when you are gone if you can.

I am not sure of your spiritual beliefs, but if you are comfortable with it, calling on Archangel Michael is extremely effective when in need of immediate assistance.

Finally, my most important bit of advice is to try not to feel fear, which can be very difficult in tough situations. Try instead to shift yourself from fear to love and power - your own feelings of love, strength, and confidence that you will overcome this are the most important thing you can do. You are an incredibly powerful creator in your own right. You can do this!

Good luck and much love!

Records of various civilizations describing contact with "Extra Dimensional" entities have been around for millennia. Today UFOlogists confuse these entities to be 'aliens', which is not far from the truth in the sense that they are alien to us, but they are not from some other physical planet. This is not to say there aren't physical aliens as well, I strongly believe they also exist and are from other planets, but not from other dimensions. In short, I believe there are dimensional entities and physical entities. They each can cross into each other's realms under very specific circumstances, but the point is that the dimensional types do not have a home in the physical plane.

To answer your question, by far one of the best books on the subject is "The Practice of Magical Evocation" by Franz Bardon; however, this is not a book for beginners and you will likely have zero success if you start off with that book. The pre-quel to it is "Initiation into Hermetics" and it may blow your mind on what humans are actually capable of doing with the right practices. This Initiation book, breaks down the path to Enlightenment into 10 simple but not at all easy steps. In order to progress to the second book, you must be at step 8 of the first book. That said there is no harm in reading the books out of order, but from a practice perspective stick to the first book first. If you ever get serious about following these books, then also look up Rawn Clark's work & books, they help immensely.

Good luck!

Book 1 - Initiation Into Hermetics (Older edition and more accurately translated)

https://www.amazon.com/Initiation-into-Hermetics-Practice-Magic/dp/3921338018/ref=sr_1_3?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1475172027&sr=1-3&keywords=Initiation+Into+hermetics

Book 2 - The Practice of Magical Evocation:
https://www.amazon.com/Practice-Magical-Evocation-Franz-Bardon/dp/1885928130/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1475171996&sr=1-1&keywords=the+practice+of+magical+evocation

There is also a 3rd book titled "The Key to the True Kaballah", which has little to do with the Kaballah you will read about just about anywhere else. This book is more of a 'fun' read from the point that 99.999% of the human race will never achieve this level.

Note unlike 90% of the esoteric books out there, this trilogy is not filled with philosophy or indecipherable ancient texts, but rather a to-the-point practical program.

>The anger that I feel for its fans is the anger that comes from the idealist in me, the reader in me, the romantic in me. It's the part that thinks nobody could ever love something that awfully-done, or love the idea of Edward Cullen. And this festers even more because I was in high school as these books came out. I saw people that I didn't like but at least respected telling me these books were brilliant, these books were great literature. They never offered defenses of the series (which matters a lot: I'm a Harry Potter fan and I wrote a term paper on Rowling's style; Twilight fans couldn't do that because there's literally nothing to like), which made things worse. Instead, they'd get self-righteous about their liking it. I got called an elitist and a dick for saying I thought they were bad books. I'd be in a group of friends and all the girls would band together and walk out, muttering how they wished I was less like myself and more like Edward. I hooked up with a Twilight reader, because I was stupid and hadn't read the books by then. She wanted the same thing out of a boyfriend that Bella gets out of Edward. It was frightening. People should not act like that.

The girl you hooked up with wanted you to turn her into an undead abomination?

http://www.amazon.com/Serpent-Rainbow-Scientists-Astonishing-Societies/dp/0684839296

Try making her into a zombie! OK, I'm biased.

But yeah, these books seem to be the Sarah Palin of literature: something that wins great acclaim which itself indicates the culture's slide into idiocracy.

Buy this book: https://www.amazon.es/Magickal-Protection-Against-Bullies-Violence/dp/1508842787

By Damon Brand.

In my opinion is it better if you learn to protect yourself because I think magick is about empowering yourself. If you go to another witch for help you always gonna depend on others to help you got better, and that is not true freedom.

I was cursed so many times in my life, the last one I was extremely suicidal and that book saved my life!!!! You don't need nothing but that book. It doesn't required any other tools (not even candles!). Gallery of magick and specially Damon Brand is the best magick teacher you could ask for if you are a begginer!

Good look, lots of blessings and be strong!! Don't be afraid, that just make htings worse. Trust your own power to get out of this.

>I wear a necklace with the sigil of Lucifer on it.

Is this it?: http://www.maureencenten.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/2015-02-20-12.40.20-e1455633813899.jpg

Yeah I've always been fascinated with Lucifer. Despite what certain types of people would say, it is possible to love Lucifer without being a Satanist... or a psychopath. Most 'Satanism' nowadays doesn't actually believe in Lucifer as an actual being. He's more of a symbol of free will, like you said. For example: https://www.amazon.ca/Bible-Adversary-Written-Publisher-Paperback/dp/B007S6ECCQ/ref=sr_1_3?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1493088483&sr=1-3&keywords=the+bible+of+the+adversary (doesn't have a Look Inside so...)
https://arautodochaos.files.wordpress.com/2015/01/the-bible-of-the-adversary.pdf

Can I also suggest for reading: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/1890399523/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

>I really want to see Mark Pellegrino become a series regular

So do I but I don't think he would have ever been working with Sam and Dean. Too much bad blood already as of season 7 onwards. What he really needs is to better understand humanity and free will, learn to tolerate us, switch sides and represent free will in his own way. Chances are this wouldn't happen on the main show but spn could set the groundwork and spin Lucifer out into his own show with Haven, Hell, Chuck and Amara as well as more craziness.

>Mark even said at SeaCon that "having read the finale episode...you guys are gonna HATE me"

I'm hoping this is an exaggeration and the person he kills is Crowley and Miscellaneous side characters. If its not they could have some type of spell happen or a Hand of God gone wrong knock him back to his Pre Fall/Darkness state of mind with current memories. He is horrified and proceeds to try to prove to himself and everyone else that he was once good and can be again.

Off on another tangent if you like a Lucifer that is the embodiment of free will: http://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Lucifer_Morningstar_(New_Earth)

People that know about him would say he's better... and he is in a lot of ways. He's also insanely powerful. But I, as insane as it may be prefer spn Lucifer. He's a lot more human where as comic Lucifer is a force of nature that pretty much nothing can even scratch bar god and one specific circumstance.

Supernatural Lucifer is awesome and the Show can do so much more with him. The season Finale is Lucifer centric so hopefully they don't destroy him.

>Any woodcroft book in particular you like?

"Angelic Protection Magick" is a good one.

>Are these books good for getting closer to God and developing the self?

I think that is on you and how you use them. Be thankful not only to the angel(s), but to God who created them. Invoke in Jesus' name, etc.

>Do you trust the beings in these books?

Yes, that book in particular; he selects angels that are safe.

Depends on what you want to do with them Re: tulpas just because they're psychological doesn't exclude them from being magickal. Don't have a lot of experience with tulpas, i have plenty of friends and they take a lot of setup.

If you're looking for a less permanent solution, I'd recommend looking into servitors, I've had some decent success with them. This book should be all you need to get started:

Magickal Servitors: Create Your Own Spirits to Attract Pleasure, Power and Prosperity https://www.amazon.com/dp/1523403462/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_TQRgDbZK6TAM7

Frater Xavier from the youtube channel Mind and Magick also has a course on servitors, which is also pretty good.

Skinner and Rankine do some great translations of traditional grimoires.
The Goetia of Dr Rudd might be right up your alley if Goetia is your interest. It is a great translation of multiple manuscripts that often get lumped together under the title of "goetia."

I also recommend Techniques of Graeco-Egyptian Magic. While it isn't actually a grimoire it is an eye opening work that breaks down how to understand older grimoires (specifically the Greek Magical Papyri).

I have heard great things about Jake Straton-Kent's work but only just barely cracked one of his open so can't actually confidently recommend it yet.

And if you want a book that has both Grimoire and in-depth working of that grimoire with advice and experiences of the author I 'm happy to recommend Gateways Through Stone and Circle, Ceremonial Magic & The Power of Evocation, and [The Key to Solomon's Key] (https://www.amazon.com/Key-Solomons-This-Symbol-Masonry/dp/1888729287/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1483818437&sr=1-1&keywords=key+to+solomons+key), all of which are not the best translations but great working guides (and come with softer price tags to boot)

Hoodoo is a folk practice, not a closed tradition. It has its roots in West African native religion, and has been highly influenced by other cultures such as the Germans, Jews, and indigenous Americans. It is truly a uniquely American conglomeration, and white folks have always practiced hoodoo. Dr. Buzzard, one of the most famous rootworkers, was in fact white.

I'm going to say this and probably step on toes for a lot of reasons, but if you are interested in learning more about conjure I feel these are things you should know going ahead. A lot of the criticism I see towards white people practicing hoodoo is that many of them are Wiccan, or eclectic Wiccan, who have little to no issue in taking things (dare I say appropriating them?) from all kinds of traditions with no regard to their cultural context or background. Traditional hoodoo is very Christian, and there are also plenty of people that ignore that fact. On the other hand, as someone who has been practicing hoodoo for many years, I've also seen an uptick (at least online) of new POC hoodoo practitioners who are finding their roots, and many also feel the need to bash white practitioners. There is more than one hoodoo online space I've had to leave because it's become less about the work and more about how much white people suck.

If you are truly interested I encourage you to keep exploring and be respectful. You can check out Lucky Mojo, the website of which contains a virtual book of information, and the books Working Conjure and Conjure In African American Society. The second is not so much about workings as it is about the history, which is important to know. Keep in mind, there is also not one way to practice hoodoo, as a folk practice it has quite the variety. New Orleans Voodoo / Hoodoo is its own animal, Texas Hoodoo has their own ways of doing things, and the list goes on.

Good luck and godspeed.

Leilah Publications is a publishing company for the 21st century not the 20th, capturing prodigy in art, music, poetry, and literature. The avante-garde works of our artists breach all boundaries between the mystical, macabre, and the erotic. The company was founded on Friday 13th October 2006 to publish titles exploring all taboo and forbidden subject matter between sex and religion.

Our vision has become the visions of other prodigies, leading us into the 21st century under a new generation of artists, musicians, writers, actors & actresses, and poets.

We initially purchased a block of 100 ISBNs (International Standard Book Number) unregistered titles. We decided to tip the scale and dig into our coffers, procuring an additional 1000 unregistered titles. The artistic visions of Leilah Publications will continue on for generations. We conservatively forecast to release 100 titles in our lifetime...leaving 1000 more visions to be fulfilled by new generations of prodigy.

We are a pooled investment by the CEO and Consulting Partner of Leilah Publications, seeking other investors and capital ventures to assist us in transforming the publishing industry into a synchronous evolution into paramedia, going digital then neural. Have you seen 'Serpent & the Rainbow' ? Not the worlds greatest horror but definitely watchable. The protagonist is a real-life anthropologist and his book of the same name (that was 'Hollywood-ised ') is a fantastic & fascinating read. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/0684839296/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_z73OCbYC9C1NS

He's also written (amongst many books) one called 'The Ethnobiology of the Haitan Zombie'. If anyone's interested in anthropology, folk magick &/or the origins of one of our favourite movie monsters his works are really good stuff, despite certain criticisms of his publications by others in the field.

It's been a while, but there are some good ones.

Condensed Chaos by Phil Hine is largely considered to be the definitive starting text for Chaotes. He was a huge pioneer in that school and that book pretty much gets you going. God I wish I still had my copy... don't even know where it went...

Chaosmatrix was a site I leaned heavily on for a while. There's a wealth of information there on a lot of different subjects, and worth browsing if you're curious.

The Sacredtexts page for Chaos magick would also be a helpful starter.

u/Chadwich · 3 pointsr/occult

I recently fell into the Occult world as well. A was given a deck of tarot cards. It was the Rider-Waite deck. I started reading about it and a spark lit. Now I am consuming everything I can get my hands on.

I like MindandMagick as well. Also, I found this video on the Hermetic Principles very helpful and well explained.

As for reading, I have started reading the Liber Null by Peter Carroll and Condensed Chaos by Phil Hine. Recommend both if you're interested in Chaos Magick.

Some of the seminal works on Wicca are Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner. by Scott Cunningham and Buckland's Complete Book of Witchcraft by Raymond Buckland.

Good luck on your journey. Personally, I am starting small by working on my meditation, mindfulness and single-pointed thought. Also, studying the tarot a few cards at a time.

Do's:

  • Get into ceremonial technique, if you haven't already.

  • Consider working with something "easier" first; /u/raisondecalcul recommended Seven Spheres, and I'd recommend Ashan Chassan's Gateways Through Stone and Circle as well. Even if you don't work with them, at least consider reading them, as the do provide some insight into this sort of working.

  • Give some serious thought as to why you want to do this. Write it down, revisit and revise, and argue with yourself while prepping. Know what it is you're trying to find or do.

    Do not's:

  • Don't undertake a Goetic operation on a whim. Prepare for it according to the text.

  • Don't take any of the text for granted; don't skip straight to the "fun stuff." Read the whole damned thing, do the prep work, use the recommended materials. It's an initiatory text.

  • Don't break the rules until you've done several operations according to the rules with success.

  • Don't worry about being a satanist. If you wish to find out what is needed, read the book. For starters, it is intended to leverage one's relationship with divinity. Jewish mythology and mysticism figure heavily into this, and you probably won't find yourself talking to the Christian notion of Satan in order to establish a relationship with whatever is evoked.

It sounds like you are wanting some usable ritual work. Some books that do a good job of easing you into ceremonial magic are:

  • Modern Magick - A good primer, from beginner to more advanced work.
  • By Names and Images - Covers the basics, but get more advanced more quickly. Gets into Skrying more quickly.

    And to lesser extents

  • Middle Pillar - Covers the basics of Qabalistic philosophy
  • Garden of Pomegranates - Gets a little more advanced into Qabalistic Philosophy with some good Skrying "how to" as well, such as testing entities, visuals, etc.

I second the recommendations for meditation and cognitive behavioral therapy. For a good how-to book on meditation I highly recommend this book by Eric Harrison. Martin Seligman's Learned Optimism will teach you how to perform cognitive behavioral therapy on yourself without having to pay a therapist $200 an hour.

Also, don't underestimate the value of ritual. In my (admittedly controversial) view, much of the occult/mystical/hermitical/magical wisdom out there ultimately boils down to a collection of rituals and techniques to focus your mind and continually re-orient yourself toward what actually matters to you. Typically they involve intricate ways of rebooting the nervous system so that the practitioner returns to ordinary life refocused on their "true will" and free from some of the inertia we all gather during the strains and distractions of daily life. Phil Hine's Condensed Chaos makes a fascinating philosophical and practical introduction to this approach.

Here's a pretty decent beginner book I found on constructing your own servitors and putting them to use

Magickal Servitors: Create Your Own Spirits to Attract Pleasure, Power and Prosperity https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AL6B06K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_FH5jDbWR9TWZT

It's a fairly short book but is pretty straight to the point on creating and working with servitors.

As far as anything specifically relating to egregores or God-forms, I personally do not know of any books that cover that.

This is by far the best biological account on toxicology I've ever read: http://www.amazon.com/The-Serpent-Rainbow-Scientists-Astonishing/dp/0684839296

It's not about poisonous plants per se, but it's written by an ethnobotanist and much of it is devoted to natural toxicology. Moreover, it's guaranteed to get you to think more holistically about the topic and to help you along in your research.

I don’t have any special knowledge about “karmic bonds” if that is even an accurate description of what is happening, but I do have two suggestions for metaphysical ways you could try ending your unwanted connection to this other person.

Firstly, Sigils of Power and Transformation has fairly simple to use sigils, and one of the sigils in the book is for “End a Relationship Peacefully.”

A second option is a method I learned from a book on pranic healing called Your Hands Can Heal You:

  1. Place your left hand down at your side, palm angled forward and up; your right hand above your head, palm down.
  2. Imagine energetic cords extending from the front of your body connecting you to the other person.
  3. Bring your hands close together in front of your solar plexus, gathering all of the cords together in one bundle between them.
  4. With your left hand cupped, palm up and holding the cords, bring the edge of your right hand down in a vigorous “karate chop” motion three times, cutting the cords.
  5. Throw the cut bundle of cords into an imagined bucket of green fire.
  6. Imagine your back in front of you (like you are standing behind yourself) and repeat the above steps with the cords attached to your back.
  7. Focus on your ajna (chakra between your eyebrows) and project violet energy into the cut cords to neutralize them.

It’s possible that you will psychologically recreate these cords, so repeat this process (it shouldn’t take longer than a minute or so) every day until you feel it no longer necessary.

You're better off asking for personal power rather than protection. Instead of asking something external to take care of your problems, find a way to do it for yourself directly.

Meditation can clear your mind and minimize the feelings of helplessness. Also get plenty of sleep to keep your mind sharp in this situation.

The idea of angels or protecting spirits creates enablement and increases your identity of victimhood. You might find more empowerment in chaos magick, as it puts the abilities directly into your own hands. Bring your own strength to the surface and radiate an energy that this guy won't feel like messing with.

Focus on the strength of your ego, your place in the universe and your identity, but without getting sucked into it. There's power in that control. When you walk on solid ground, you will be able to approach this situation with confidence and power.

I recommend reading Phil Hine, as he's written a lot about projecting confidence in social groups using chaos magick techniques.

My suggestion is to take LaVeyan Satanism(and the Satanic Bible) with a grain of salt, at least when you are starting out. I'm not saying there isn't something deeper to any of it, but a surface reading is going to get you mired in what is largely a satire on Christianity aimed at duping the credulous into giving the Church of Satan money.

As you read any subject you should not be doing so with the express purpose of looking for something to believe in. Discover what you believe in as you go based on your experiences and through finding out what will produce results, because ultimately if it doesn't change your life and help you manifest your will/desire, then it's not worth anything more than make believe.

Develop critical thinking skills

Being a mormon interested in Kabalah, you might enjoy John Dee's Five Books of Mystery, especially if you were really interested in being a Mormon at one point.

For nuts-and-bolts, I always suggest By Names and Images and Modern Magick. However this is ceremonial magic. You will find, however, if you read Agrippa, that natural magic and ceremonial magic do overlap. If you start with Agrippa first, however, you'll have all the theory and none of the practice.

around 1583

> And what happened to him?

The primary records we have come from his journals, I highly recommend this transcription.

If one is interested in learning the story about how this language came to be and how it has been used over the centuries, I recommend this book. It is highly academic in language and extremely well sourced.

That’s awesome well I would personally recommend taking up meditation because that alone will answer a lot of questions that you have not necessarily while you’re meditating but as you carry on with what you do meditation will open you eyes to a lot of the day to day things we don’t normally see and bring enlightenment to what’s going on with you and these noises. In Scientology though we don't really have angels or demons though we do have disembodied souls. Sometimes they can act rather misguided or be helpful so I guess in a way they can be like angels or demons though usually there isn't malicious intent, just misunderstanding.

It's taken me the last three years or so to get this, but it's saved me from pounding my head against a wall several times:

Do not look for consistency in any Republican statement or action. They do not have a single core belief except the opposite of whatever Democrats want to do or say.

None, whatsoever.

They do not believe in anything except trying to create outrage and keep their power by doing so.

I know it doesn't make sense to a logical brain; we want to see a pattern and when it isn't there it feels wrong.

But, just remember thst GOP rhetoric and actions are there to stir up outrage and maintain their power base. They don't believe in anything. Not in a nihilist way, but in a chaos magic sort of way; all their beliefs that they espouse are true in the moment and are gone in the next moment when they say something directly contradictory that is--in their minds-equally true in that moment.

And trying for a "gotcha" on hypocrisy doesn't work, because that tactic only works on people with shame. The people who have sold our country up the river and damaged America to the point we're at now don't have any shame or decency in them.

Outrage, and the power derived therefrom. That is all there is.

u/MadmanPoet · 2 pointsr/Paranormal

Plausible and documented. Look up the work of Dr. Wade Davis. In his book "The Serpent and the Rainbow" (not to be confused with the film of the same name) he discusses the use of pufferfish and toad toxins by Bokor (Voudin witch-doctors) to create a death-like coma.

The victim is then buried, the Bokor (or more accurately their apprentice) would dig the body up later that evening, and the Bokor awakens the "corpse" and administers a heavy dose of a Jimson weed paste which creates a very compliant and suggestible state in the victim. They are told that they are dead and that the Bokor has their soul. Then they are set to work, usually by the cover of night, in the Bokor's fields.

There is the case of Clairvius Narcisse who had been taken by a Bokor to a sugar plantaion. The Bokor died, thus ending the regular dosing of Jimson weed, and eventually the effects wore off. Clairvius simply remembered who he was and went home.
