Yeah basically I have an outdoor bin (like this, but not (mine is totally cheaper) by my front door. Have a sign that “Facebook pick up is inside the bin” and there is also a metal comment box (maybe exactly this one tbh) that I have the customers put the money in. I’d say about 90% of the time people get it, sometimes there’s a language barrier and the money is put in the bin directly or under my doormat but on the whole it works nicely.

It helps keep my items safe from porch pirates (I also get my packages delivered into the bin) and helps protect from elements, and the metal lock box makes sure that everyone’s money is secure even when I’m not home to immediately collect it. It’s a fantastic system and so far I haven’t had problems with it, and I’ve done it for just about a year now. 😊

Sure thing. The plus side is, since it's Amazon, just say you ordered stuff and leave it at that. Or just say you like having more secure locks on your door if they bring it up. Honestly, it's surprising to me that they don't have better locks on the room doors, for liability reasons. Plus if your roomies leave your front door unlocked, at least you know YOUR room is not accessible should someone come into your apartment at night while you are all sleeping. It's better safe than sorry with stuff like that. I would try to test run the locks and stuff when your roomies are not there, just so that way they don't realize what is going on. Then you can figure out how the locks work and it won't be some big production. Best case just install the stuff while they are out, and get rid of the amazon boxes too, and they won't even notice. It sucks to have to be so paranoid. You probably should also make sure your mail goes somewhere else if it's a shared box. Do you all have your own P.O. Boxes? I hate to freak you out about everything. It's just that if they're stealing from your wallet, mail is an easy thing to steal too. So make sure anything that's sent to you has tracking, and also if you have any good friends who would be willing to let you use their address instead, it might be easier for now. You can also do things like put a little piece of tape on your door where no one would notice it/a hair across it and if it's broken, you KNOW someone went in there that was not you. Keep ALL your stuff in your room. Toiletries. Food if it's special snacks. Keep as minimal stuff in communal areas as possible unless it's things you don't care if they are looked through or eaten. I would keep "enough" out there that it looks normal, but anything valuable or that could be messed with, don't chance it. For the fridge, this could work: https://www.amazon.com/Clear-Acrylic-Refrigerator-Lock-Box/dp/B009CBDI5CIf anyone says anything, blame it on your mom. Just full on say your mom totally freaked out about your card being used because you couldn't figure out how that happened, and she just went bananas buying all this stuff for you because she is just SO freaked out about you being away from home and wants you to be safe. Over the top moms are always good to use. Your parents will not care about being the "Scapegoats" for all of this. Just turn it into a joke too. "OMG look what my crazy mom sent me this week!!" hahahaha. If you REALLY want to go over the top, set up a facetime with her to show her your setup and that you really are using it all. It's one of those things that I can see an over the top parent ACTUALLY doing, so it could still be plausible.

I just ordered this and I think I'll put it between the front seats with the sticker on the sign portion. See how it goes. I am expecting a few more negative ratings but honestly if my avg. dropped to 4.7 from 5.0 and I get $100 a week in tips, I would consider that awesome.

How about a drop box? Or something similar. I searched drop box and lock box and saw several things. I also saw some letter box like things too.

Stealing Kerrygold butter is a high food crime! A refrigerator lock box might help.
