Here's the breakdown as I see it:

Barring getting a blacksmith to make you you the real deal for thousands and thousands of dollars, the best you could do would be to buy this guy's handmade replicas: He doesn't always have ebay auctions up though, and some times his work will turn up for sale elsewhere.

EDIT: Aaron of Fiberglass Blades is stopping production so that he can move on to bigger and better things. There will be a few auctions for what remains of his inventory this year, but don't expect to pay less than $1000 a piece for each item.

If you are looking for the cheaper mass produced kinds, there are still several to pick from, and even then you need to decide if what you want is more for display or if you actually intend to carry it. None of these are combat safe in any way, but some still are better than others.

A disclaimer about these links: all of these can be found from multiple sellers at multiple prices, so do your shopping! I'm using amazon for picture purposes.

The best one for display in my opinion is this one here. The hilt and blade look fantastic, and it comes with a plaque. It is not good for swinging though; it is very heavy and is most likely not full tang, aka the blade does not continue into the hilt. That said, it is a beautiful piece for the price, and I have one on my wall. It seems to be based off of a mixture of the Link to the Past and Twilight Princess Master Sword designs, as it has barbs, but is not blue in color. There are newer versions of this same sword modeled after the blue master sword and a Dark Link Variant, but I avoided the former because I don't like how the entire handle is one shade of blue. That's your call.

Next up is this one, which is probably the most common. The blade is long, but does not have that awesome shape that the above one does. In my opinion, it does not look as much like the master sword as it ought. The upside to this though it that the sheathe is the best one going in terms of mass produced pieces. I am cosplaying as link at Otakon this weekend, and will be using the sheathe from this sword, attached to this belt that was basically made for this model.

The sword I will be using is this one. I know what you are thinking. Foam? Really? Yes. This is a relatively new product and is of far better quality than I could have expected or even hoped for. It is cosplay safe, light, and the best shape/size/detail/quality replica I have found for the price. if you plan on carrying one without getting arrested, this is the one.

There is another master sword replica out there that you need should watch out for. this one looks very similar to the second one above, but you will notice the blade looks mildly different in the photos. In truth, this one is far smaller than the above one, and is also sharp as hell. Can not recommend. Check the details like blade length and width before buying.

As for the shields, there are thankfully fewer options. As mentioned above, Fiberglassblades makes an amazing one, but it's super expensive. I'd like to own his shield and sword one day, but it will not be anytime soon.

Your mass produced choices as far as I can see are this one or this one

I have the first one, and it is a decent replica for the price. It is set to be held in your left hand, though you can remove the handle, so I expect you could modify it for more accurate use. It is also ready to be hung on a wall, and looks quite nice while doing so. Older models are more flat, while newer models are more curved like traditional shields (unless mine is just warped.) The Downsides are that the strap and handle are rather flimsy. I have reinforced the one I'm using this weekend by making my own leather strap and super gluing the handle in place. This will sadly prevent me from using this shield as a display, but I have an older model for that.

As for the second one, it looks to be a newer version of an earlier and different model. I don't have experience with it, but from what I can tell it seems to be a high quality replica. That said, the model I believe it is based on was not able to be hung on a wall, had the triforce crooked, had the bird painted on and not embossed, and could only be used in your right hand. Perhaps this is why they are pushing this new version. If you get this one, please let me know how it is, because I must say it looks good from the photos.

EDIT: Another user has reported to me that this model still has the issues I had with the earlier version. Neither the Crimson Loftwing nor the Triforce are guaranteed to be accurately placed. This may vary from shield to shield, so buyer beware.

PHEW! Hope that helps!

ive been playing with throwing knives since i was a little kid. sometimes for laughs, my wife will toss things (old cd cases usually) in front of one of my targets and ill pin them to the targets. the kiddos always seem to get a kick out of it. i consider my knives toys. however if used correctly and with proper skill/training, they are very very deadly. personally, anything less than about 1ft for a throwing knife tells me that it doesnt have enough mass to carry the force im going to put into it. the smaller knives just plain dont penetrate enough. the ones i usually play with are fantastic. they easily go about 3 inches through a 2inch plywood sheet. i dont use traditional targets, i use asheet of plywood with an outline of a person with a map of the human circulatory system on it. something like this generally 1 puncture will not be enough to kill, but i suspect that somebody with a large knife sticking out of them, bleeding heavily will probably stop to reevaluate their priorities. 2 blades in any of thoes arteries at the same time, and a person starts leaking like a busted milk jug. when i practice with them, i generally keep 2 or 3 in my left hand that i can easily fan out for blocking and 1 in my right hand that i can strike with, putting 1 finger in the ring and holding it point down lets you use it traditional knife fighter style or swing it by the 1 finger with pretty surprising force. (about 2 inches deep into plywood) if you have a target at distance, you can easily tip the knife up and throw it, then grab another from your left hand to replace it. its alot faster and easier than you might think. the true flight knife that sonoflavey mentioned also looks decent, but ive practiced with screwdrivers before. pretty much anything with a little weight and a point works. in self defense terms, any heavyish aerodynamic piece of metal thrown hard enough is a fair deterrent and theyre just fun to play with. if you are going to play with them, why not play with them in a manner than makes them potentially useful? that said, since getting my concealed handguns licence, i much much prefer my .45, and the knives are pretty much just for fun.

u/squareknot20 · 2 pointsr/throwing

Hmm... that looks like a smaller version of what I used to throw, and the 6.5" size will definitely make it a big tricky to learn. Bigger knives are much easier. You can find a set of "screaming eagles" pretty cheap if you find you enjoy knife throwing after you get frustrated.
I'm not gonna try to explain a technique that's much better explained from a real source, but one thing that definitely helped me when I started was doing short (6-10" flippy throws, instead of adding-force-but-not-trying-to-send-the-thing-spinning-like-a-bat-out-of-hell throws like you'll pick up pretty easily =p), 1/2 flip throws, nice and close just to begin to learn how to feel for the correct flip.

Also, do not be tempted to spin the bloody thing on your finger. I almost slit my wrist open with kunai.. good luck!

(also since you have kunai, have you ever read the history behind the design? )

We use dot us these Training Swords in my medieval combat class!

This steampunk flavored Cryptex Flash Drive might be appreciated! Useful and stylish in a similar vein to this Steampunk Watch
As for board games, I recommend Shadow Hunters, Splendor, and Coup

For tabletop games, you could get him A Nice Set of Color Coded Diece

When it comes to video games, this Retro Arcade Console Desk Toy could be a great work passtime with 200 games! Alternatively if you have a fridge or a metal workspace, Magnetic Tetris! for idle hands

Hope any of these help haha

u/theguy56 · 2 pointsr/throwing

I bought the three tomahawk brand knives on sale, about a dollar a piece not including shipping. Now everything people say about the quality is true. However at a dollar a knife, they were ideal for me as my first throwing knives.

Because they were so cheap, it wasn't the end of the world to bend or damage one due to my poor throwing as a beginner. They certainly 'worked' as far as throwing knives, but even as a beginner you feel like you wish you had a better quality knife in your hand.

Bottom Line: Can't beat the price for what you get, but as expected they aren't worth much unless you're learning and don't want to damage a good knife.

Edit: Here's what I'm talking about: http://amzn.com/B0044U42LU

Edit 2: Fun fact, these cheap little guys were actually used in the Hunger Games film

My wife got that sword for me for Christmas off of Amazon. Mine didn't come with the hooks to hold it for some reason but we managed to get it attached. It is definitely very nice, I'm not normally a sword collector but this was amazing and looks great in our house. If you have the cash I recommend buying it.

I'm not a boxer, but I did end up buying a heavy bag with some gloves and wrist wraps a few months ago, just to get a different form of cardio. It get's the job done really well.

when looking for gloves, I ended up buying these, and they been pretty good so far. Everlast boxing gloves

from my experience, protecting your wrists/knuckles is the most important part, so make sure you get yourself some wraps. I got some pretty small hands, and yet 120" is barely enough to wrap both my wrist and knuckles, so I suggest you get the 180" wraps. wrist wraps

u/unnamedstripper45 · 1 pointr/amateur_boxing

Been adding Heavy Bag into HIIT workouts and after a couple weeks decided I'd like to break the bank for some proper wraps and bag gloves. Haven't been able to find a good store nearby, but online selection is pretty good: they have about 3-4 different sets each from TITLE, Ringside, Hayabusa, Venum and Cleto Reyes. Was wondering if I could get some recommendations for those brands.

-8.7'' wrist, looking for 16oz gloves

-Flexible for price, $150/1100rmb max

-6in1ft, weigh about 210 pounds (hence the workout!)

-Training/bag only going 2-3 times a week.

Based on some research/recommendations been looking at this set in particular:

Hayabusa Tokushu

Also choosing between these wraps, not really sure what to look for other than 180 inch.

Fairtex

Thanks in advance!

u/Evadrepus · 1 pointr/zelda

If you're still looking, this is the one I got for Christmas. I picked it out after spending some time looking for an inexpensive one. I'm pretty satisfied with it. Like the reviews state, the painting on the gem is more than a little sloppy. I will be doing a minor repaint on it but otherwise I'm very pleased with it. It's huge, heavy, and looks great (aside from the slightly sloppy painting). The enamel gold paint cost me $10, which still makes this very economical.

I had a super fun class last night. I was hoping to go to a class tonight, but it filled up so I'm going to work on crafting a ritual for next week. Wooo!

Also, I bought a NEW backup athame. Prepping for class yesterday, I realized my actual athame and my backup athame are both at the covenstead. So I bought a new one from Amazon. Super cheap, but I need something ASAP. $9 for 4.5 stars. :)

I’ve been rolling with it twice a week for about 8 months. Still feels pretty new. I’m in Texas so the lightweight is nice during the long summer.

Probably not top quality, but seems like a great value given my experience with it.

u/Cosmosaurus · 7 pointsr/Hema

You could try to get ahold of Black Fencer's wasters. You can even get them at bulk price. (It seems a little difficult getting them to ship to the U.S., though.) (This is my first choice.)

The next best option would be Penti IIIs by PurpleHeart Armoury. They'll run you a bit higher than 100USD per sword, but they are worth it, in my opinion. (My club prefers this option for nylons.)

The cheapest option would be the Rawlings longsword (also available on Purpleheart Armoury). Don't get this one. It is extremely unreliable in even a mid-intensity bout and doesn't bind and wind well even in a (partner) drill; they are as wobbly as a cooked noodle. They also have poor point-of-balance, but you can fix it by attaching the steel pommel and crossguard options (which are sold separately; at that point, you have spent enough to get a penti, anyways.). However, under a tight budget, these do okay. They also seem the safest for free fencing.

I lied; the cheapest option is the Cold Steel Hand and Half Sword. Some people do a grinding mod to make it bearable. Don't get this.

These all hurt a good bit in my opinion. With gloves and a mask, I have never run into much more than bruising. You might want to get arm protectors if you are that worried, though. Just don't baseball swing your way through bouts. Practice good technique at necessary/reasonable intensity and martial consideration and sparring should be fine.

I also just noticed that you posted in /r/HEMA. Post in /r/WMA, instead.

u/monkerbus · 1 pointr/zelda

Looks like they touched up this. Pretty cheap and awesome replica. Best one I've ever seen that you can easily buy.

u/N0_M1ND · 1 pointr/bjj

From what I gather the Standard Issue and Hooks are basically the same with the exception the Hooks has outer labeling whereas the Stardard Issue has no identifiable markings, like how gis used to be, this also leaves room for more patches if that's your thing.

Another option you may consider that is inexpensive and good quality is Sanabul. https://www.amazon.com/Sanabul-Essentials-Version-Preshrunk-Fabric/dp/B00P9W4GD6/ref=sr_1_8?m=A14TJKA4FS5CS1&s=merchant-items&ie=UTF8&qid=1479691941&sr=1-8&th=1&psc=1

Prices basically increase for color of gi, which seems to be a standard industry practice for "flagship" mass produced gi of a company. I own one, but it's a gi they don't make anymore, but it's my favorite gi. A lot of guys at my gi have them as well, they've held up nicely.

Whatever you decide to buy, I think sizing is most important regardless. You don't want to be swimming in you gi, but you also don't want a gi that is too small. Generally, you can shrink a gi, you can't make them bigger.

u/Shadowfire1231 · 1 pointr/gaming

Idk bout usable but i found this replica that at least looks pretty real. Bought it as a gift for my brother and he loved it.

Late on this but to be honest I wouldn't go with the sports direct ones. Hopefully your budget stretches to these which I like: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01AUEADVG/ref=sspa_mw_detail_0?psc=1 also I am sure some will disagree but for cheap shins I think as a beginner cotton work well and I used these for my first year and still do now at times https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B008TM6LQ8/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1522705419&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=venum+shin+guard&dpPl=1&dpID=41guny8tuIL&ref=plSrch

Thanks. I got the original on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00C9Q8HTE/ref=sxts1?ie=UTF8&qid=1494527737&sr=1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65 So I got it and I got a Purple glitter Spray paint, a green paint pen, some gold paint and some silver paint. I just covered the top of the blade in tape so it doesnt get painted, and I spray painted the whole top with the purple paint. I waited for it to dry and then used the paint pen to do the lacing around the handle and used the gold and silver with a small brush to get those other spots. Was pretty easy overall

Sanabul is pretty cheap (for a gi, still kind of expensive in general) and is well regarded. I think it runs big though. Based on what I know, which is not much (I haven't been training long enough), we're at the point where even budget Gis like this should hold up for a while:

I purchased an unsharpened version of this for Iaido training: http://smile.amazon.com/Musashi-Carbon-Steel-Miyamoto-Sword/dp/B002IZC83C/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1411607379&sr=8-4&keywords=musashi+sword
Mine has 2 pins in the full tang handle. I recommend also buying a cleaning kit. A wooden saya is more authentic to me but will wear or split over time from repetitive drawing and sheathing. I liked the price, reviews and a handle long enough to balance or use a two-handed grip. Educate yourself via research and reviews. Good Luck!

u/alchemist5 · 3 pointsr/batman

Depends on what you're going for. If you want it to look like the comics, see KirbyW's comment. But if you want it to be 'realistic', I recommend something like this over a black turtleneck, with the proper blue (or red for current continuity, I guess) paint applied. For the pants, slim-fit cargos with shin guards, perhaps?

The mask is pretty easy, 'night mask', or if you want realism, maybe tactical goggles.

"Ninja" stuff might also be a nice touch (grappling hook, throwing knives etc.)

His traditional weapon is 2 eskrima sticks (buy a dowel rod from Hobby Lobby, cut it in half, paint), but collapsible batons could be an interesting alternative.

edit: added a link for goggles.

edit 2: added links for shin guards and knives.

u/Darth_Tard · 2 pointsr/MuayThai

Make sure that you purchase wraps that are 180 inches in length. Don't trust anything that doesn't list a length. Also, 100% cotton wraps are not what you want. You will want elastic cotton wraps (they will stretch a bit, giving a tighter fit and allowing more flexibility while maintaining good support), also called mexican style wraps. These are the wraps I use, and I wouldn't get anything else.

personally i have tried:

Habrok

So far I have the most mat time with the Gr1ps gi that I own and have been super happy with the fit/weight/durability of it, and just got a new one for Black Friday. I just got the Habrok but so far I like it.

Quite a few people that I have trained with have had the Sanabul gi and they seem to hold up well. The people I know that have them like them.

I own this necklace and its very well made

this is probably the most accurate and satisfying Baphomet statue appearance, tho I have not ordered it yet as it's quite expensive

Here is a satanic pentagram ring, or alternatively, here is a Baphomet ring

here is a Baphomet Jewelry Box, and here is an incense cone holder where the smoke comes out of Baphomet's mouth

Heres some extra stuff:

mortar & pestle

satanic bedtime stories

Baphomet Wall plaque

Baphomet Poster

pentagram ritual bowl

ritual knife, do not cut anything with it

Hope this helps

All right, look.

The Miyamoto Sword, made from specified AISI 1060 carbon steel, offered by Musashi, available from Amazon for $125 USD with free shipping.

1060's good enough to slice through water bottles and tatami mats and not worry about bending or chipping the edge. If you cut at the right angle.

So if you REALLY NEED A SWORD THIS SECOND OMG OMG OMG IT CAN'T WAIT o_o SO KAWAIIIII... well then, there you go.

Otherwise, there are a bunch of other vendors you can get a quality practice katana from. Ronin Katana, Cheness, Hanwei, others. But those cost more, and they take time to get it shipped to you.

Cool, I have the exact same Elucidator in my room right now as OP :) If anyone is wondering I ordered mine from here.

They are great quality, and look really good too. The unfortunate thing is that the steel isn't high enough quality to really be sharpened much. I took mine to a professional who was able to put a slight edge on it - it's not much sharper than a butterknife aside from the tip which is extremely sharp - but I still think it looks a lot better with the edge at least!

u/pmackles · 1 pointr/bjj

No problem. I bought this gi when I first started and its going strong despite hours of grappling with savages :)

Yea, BJJ is similar in that you will practice techniques to build muscle memory. When you execute a technique automatically and correctly against a resisting opponent it will feel effortless. You also have the feedback loop of full speed sparring which is beautiful. Sounds like martial arts is in your blood friend, you'll do fine.

u/Danishauce · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I'm a beginner as well. I have both Everlast handwraps and off brand handwraps. Both do the job fine. Remember to wrap your hands and wrist well to prevent wrist injury.

I have Ringside IMF Techs and they're great, but pricey. Plenty of good options out there, check out /r/boxing and search for glove recommendations.

My bag is an Everlast C3 Foam bag, which is supposedly one of Everlast's higher end bags. It's been about a month and it's holding up fine. Ringside and Title make decent bags, too. I also have the Everlast bag stand, which is noisy and creaky, but it does the job.

I feel as if this would be perfect for you. Also comes with a neat leather sheath that you can wear on your back. It is one of my favorite killing instruments.

u/myanrueller · 2 pointsr/StarWars

Someone who wants to study European martial arts here:

multiple options exist for "practice swords" there's a polypropelene in many models. As for lightsabers...

Ultraforce has some "battle ready force FX ones," which instead of the LEDs all across the blade it's one powerful one. Saberforge looks nice too.

There's also a "lightsaber bokken".

And for someone more interested in European swords styles, there's not a Kylo Ren model yet. But there will be.

u/ketoismyfriend · 2 pointsr/bjj

I in a similar situation as you, I am pretty new to BJJ so I have a cheap 50$ gi my gym sells. But I have been eyeing https://www.amazon.com/Fuji-BJJ-Uniform-White-A3/dp/B00GIHVQBG/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1510337995&sr=8-3&keywords=fuji%2Bbjj%2Bgi&th=1&psc=1 for Christmas. I don't think it comes with a belt though.

Keto is great too, I have been a bit off the wagon recently but still loosing weight and feeling good so I am just going with it. I have been having 100 or less carbs a day and just lowering my fat a bit and its working for me, I think doing BJJ 3 times a week is what is driving that though.

u/sclark89 · 2 pointsr/zelda

I bought this one. I think it looks pretty good. The hilt is a bit too blue, I think, and lacking some of the finer details. I intend on eventually painting it to look authentic. It's hanging on my wall right now. I wouldn't ever buy this one with the intention of using it as a real sword though as the hilt is just a metal casing snapped around it fairly insecurely.

I'm still in the market for a good Hylian shield replica that doesn't have a bird with two tails.

u/Xzanos · 1 pointr/SweatyPalms

Very fun but it certainly takes some patients and learning.

u/Catbrain · 2 pointsr/throwing

I just have a piece of wood as my target, like you can buy from the home depot. Just don't use plywood, use solid wood.

As for knives, i would recommend blue angel 6 inch throwing knives, or this
or this

u/slimmathias · 1 pointr/throwing

Generally for knife throwing, bigger is better, the smaller ones tend bounce back randomly. With a larger, well-balanced knife you'll have a much easier time to consistently stick it. The no-spin technique is the easiest to learn quickly, just start close and work your way back. I personally use the Expendables Kunai Set, I kid you not. Not out of love for the movie, but because they're big well balanced blades.

u/HighestHand · 2 pointsr/martialarts

I own about 3 pairs of these "cloth shin guards" and they really don't offer much protection. These shin guards are for light contact sparring like taekwondo or karate where they tell you to not go hard. If you throw it hard and hit someone's bones, you'll feel it. If you want to throw hard kicks, just get the full shin guards like TKB, Twins, Fairtex, etc.

As for the sizing for the cloth ones, S, M, L all are the same length and the difference is how much wider they are. I'm 6'0" 150 lbs, and I can wear a small all the way to a large. If you want to be safe, get a large since it should be quite snug once you wash and dry them.

Additional advice:
They usually aren't branded, and even if they are, don't get it branded because it's such a crap shinguard that you shouldn't spend 20 more dollars just because it has the words VENUM or something on them.

Hey there! I really like your videos and they've been very instructive for me when dabbling in swordfighting techniques. I've picked up a couple synthetic longswords like the Cold Steel one and a bastard sword from medieval collectables. I find that they're either unbalanced or too light, respectively.

Is there a good training bastard sword that you recommend purely for practice?

u/Duhherroooo · 3 pointsr/balisong

Dont get a CCC with screws. Those are even less durable than the pinned construction ones and have cheap hardware that strips. You can either get a bbbarfly or the dragon trainer here https://www.amazon.com/VORNNEX-Practice-Butterfly-Stainless-Unsharpened/dp/B06XRCGCV8/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=balisong+trainer&qid=1556557363&s=gateway&sr=8-3

It's the weekend and allow me to tell you a story.

When I was a small child my grandmother told me of a group of people from legend. These were warriors from a time when bandits ruled the streets and the governments were ruthless. These warriors honed their skills in secret, biding their time until a day came when they could free the people from oppression. Now I didn't actually think this was any more than a fairy tale, until last week...

I was at an assembly on free speech, and what did I see? A warrior of old gliding through the crowd. No one noticed him except me. I knew this was my chance to make something of myself, to join his ranks and become a warrior for the people! So I ran up and tapped him on the shoulder as quickly as I could.

He got really scared and dropped his sword, and it broke.

Now I owe him one of these...

This one is really awesome. It's a perfect match for the Twilight Princess master sword, but for some reason the hilt is black with a red gem instead of blue with gold. (I think it's supposed to be Shadow Link's or something). I remember seeing a blue version once, but I can't find it.

I got one of these for my son to wear on Halloween. It's short, does not have an edge (though the tip is very pointy) and we had it so he couldn't remove it from the scabbard. I would recommend it but as others have said: it should be handled with utmost care.

Seriously, this is exactly what you're looking for

u/Raiseittoeleven · 1 pointr/trees

Here you go!! Found it on amazon. You can also get the shield for another $45! ha

u/grey_sky · 4 pointsr/halloween

I'd go for something like Cold Steel Training Swords. Not going to break on you anytime throughout the night and really blunt so you can hit your buddies with it. Downside is that up close it is obviously a training sword. Also, you'll have to make a scabbard or just make a loop to put it.
video showing the durability

That said, if you are going for looks maybe this or this or this would be a better choice. However, my experience with crap quality like this is it will break and it is marginally sharp so you could hurt someone or yourself if you unsheath it.

Cheers.

I think they may be one of a kind, sorry pal. Amazon has some really nice ones though, specifically this one.

u/oneironaut · 30 pointsr/shutupandtakemymoney

Indeed, DO NOT trust this thing. I had this very hook two years back, and a friend and I went out climbing shit with it every once in a while. One night the metal of the hook (specifically, the threaded part at the top) SNAPPED IN HALF as I was climbing it. I was only ~3 feet above the ground at the time, so no harm done, but not everyone this happens to will be so lucky. I weighed ~140lb (63.5kg) at the time.

It's fairly obvious that it's crappy metal, anyways, because even as you're first using it you can see it bending out of shape after each climb.

Also, like others have noted, the rope is really slick and hard to grip; we used gloves we found that had a rough rubber coating on the inside so we could climb it.

If for some reason you do decide to get this, be very careful, and never ever expect it not to snap on you. The more expensive ones that shaggorama posted are worth the extra money.

Sorry for the bold caps, just trying to catch some eyes before anybody buys it.

EDIT: I can post a picture of the thing tonight if anybody is intersted. I still have it in my trunk.

I think they're great shin guards and very comfortable. They don't have the slipping issue because they go over your leg almost like a sock, but because of this there's no way to wear shoes at the same time. They aren't very similar to what I've seen others use in class, which have more of a hard shell. These are moreso pads.

u/MoonSpider · 2 pointsr/SWORDS

Sure, but that's why I said "looks like."

It's an extremely narrow one-handed interpretation of what is in actuality a very large two-handed sword, with cast fittings. Leads me to suspect that a wall-hanger is more likely than a beater. EDIT Ah yes, a $27 decorative piece sold by BudK.

u/Rock-C · 2 pointsr/tf2

Few people have mentioned this, but you can buy Trainers online. These are purely for tricks and not for the actual knife. The end is blunt on both sides, so it has no chance of cutting you. The one I bought online shows you which side is the bite handle and which side is the safe-side with the little divets at the bottom of the "blade." Be a bit warned though, this trainer is a bit longer than most other balisongs, but I didn't find an issue with that. My only issue with the balisong I listed is that it's a spring-loaded latch, so it's kinda static. Mine wore off after a while and now it's a normal latch, which is great.

These are about the tiniest things on my wishlist!

Short but impossible:
Teeny tiny cheek twitch

Need to know this as well. And did you paint the sword hilt? Because the one that I've seen that looks similar is grey.

That's K Exclusive associated with Bud K.

Sorry to say, it's a cheap Chinese import.

I made a mistake with the weight, it’s 9.6 ounces not 9.3 ounces. If you want to see for yourself here’s the link.

Only doing Akeleie's demands because I know it annoys her.

Most geeky - Hylian Shield - On figures and geeky stuff WL

Item which would most help a goal - Guitar strings so I can finally try to teach myself to play. - On default WL

Best item to bring to a deserted island - portal gun...duh - On figures and geeky stuff WL

I don't actually want any of that stuff cos it's expensive, I only entered to annoy /u/Akeleie

Most of the knives you use to practice and do these kind of things aren't sharp. Well the length of the blade isn't, but there still tends to be points even on the dull ones sold.

In fact, a lot of the time you use a replacement piece where the blade should be. Example

In this piece the guy literally catches the knife by the blade at one point.

Actually, still no good sadly.

I've read reviews of all of those Master Swords listed on other sites, and plenty of them seem to have something wrong with them when delivered. I normally wouldn't have any problems with that as it's like ~£60, but those sellers look shifty. So, it's a no-go sadly.

I tried Amazon and Ebay, and ones like the one below don't even sell to the UK:

How the hell do people even get this stuff in the UK? This is ridiculous, there's like nothing out here for us lol.

I took some courses about 7 years back from KRON

Unfortunately, my trainer passed away from cancer, so it's just me at this point.

The practice sword I have is this one.

Found it. Based on one of the reviews it sounds like it has a rat tail tang. They had been swinging it around but I really don't suggest it as it could fail and hurt someone.
