3. Postpartum Bath Herbs, Organic Sitz Bath, 6 ct

    Features:
  • COOLING RELIEF: Need some soothing peri care? Organic Herbal Sitz Bath is packed in easy-to-use, individual herbal sachets, each one is perfect for one use. The brewed herbal infusion can be used as a sitz bath or to make postpartum padsicles (kind of like making tea for your nethers!).
  • NO WORRISOME CHEMICALS: You won’t find propylene glycol, artificial preservatives or fragrance because no one wants those chemicals near their tender bits. Herbal compresses are filled with organic herbs traditionally used for perineal discomfort during pregnancy or after childbirth.
  • POSTPARTUM ESSENTIAL: Pair with Earth Mama's Organic Perineal Balm and Herbal Perineal Spray, AKA the Take Care Down There Trifecta! It's the kind of combo that'll have your hemorrhoid or episiotomy be all, "YES, thank you!" Be strong. You can do it!
  • TIPS FROM MOMMA: Postpartum padsicles are a thing, and they’re great! Get crafty and save the remaining herbal sitz bath liquid, pour onto a regular postpartum pad, and freeze it for a clever little perineal ice pack. Trust us – it’s one of life’s secret little wins.
  • HOW TO USE: Lay herbal pad in a shallow bowl and cover with boiling water. Steep for approx. 5 min., and let cool. Very gently drain extra liquid from pad, leaving it moist but not soaking. Be gentle and don’t squeeze! The herbal pads are fragile and can burst. Cool in the fridge and gently apply moist pad directly to perineum. Ahhhhh!

Congratulations! I had one in March and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Do you have any friends or family that could be with you at home the first few days? One thing I didn't even think about is that you cannot use your arms at all to shift your weight, to help push you up out of bed or into a sitting position. I learned to scoot around on my rear end. :) It is also challenging to bathe and wash your hair for the first couple of weeks. It helps to use those muscles but I had to have my husband help me shower the first week or two. Another idea is to have someone stock a cooler to be near where you settle to recover for the day or night so you can access easy to reach food, water & other beverages. You are healthy and that is to your advantage.

Good luck!! I hope you love it as much as I do. Oh, one last piece of advice. Once you have been cleared at your one or two week check, you will want to start using somehing on your scars. Mine still get itchy and uncomfortable if I don't keep them well moisturized. I expect to use it for a year or so based off of a previous surgery. My accupuncturist recommended a belly balm. I love this one (I am terrible at linking): https://www.amazon.com/Beautiful-Belly-Balm-8-oz/dp/B0011NK95G/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1_m?ie=UTF8&qid=1483473982&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=Beautiful%2Bbelly%2Bbalm%2Bfor%2Bpregnancy&th=1

Nothing stupid. This has happened to a good few of my friends.

I have had success with making my own mix of coconut oil, cocoa butter, and vitamin e oil applied every night before bed. This, combined with good hydration, should prevent (given you start early enough) the onset of stretch marks and post-stretch mark occurrence, mitigate them and prevent more from coming.

Also, a friend of mine started using stretch mark oil, the kind pregnant women use, and has had success with it. He did this before beginning his 'bulk'.

This is axiom

This is a great contest! My depression and anxiety have been really bad lately. My whole life I always focused on making other people happy and put myself on the back burner, so now I try to do something for myself every day. Whether its a nice bath, or playing a video game, or painting my nails. Every day I make sure I do something for me and only me.

Hmm some things that would benefit my wellness...This cream because I've been giving myself belly massages (I'm pregnant) with regular lotion and this cream is supposed to help prevent stretch marks so I think it would be the best cream to use for my prenatal massages.

Also this foundation because I have a tattoo on my wrist that I really hate and it upsets me to look at, and I've read that this is one of the best foundations to use to cover tattoos.

Thank you for the contest!

I used the Earth Mama herbal sitz bath for pregnancy & postpartum. I liked it & it’s on amazon. Here’s a link

And take it easy mama. ♥️♥️♥️

u/alieoli · 2 pointsr/Fitness

Hey dear! I'm a lady and I know all about stretch marks, as all women do, it's pretty much a thing..... sadly....

Anyway... as some other guys here said Vitamin E oil is pretty decent....

But there's nothing you can do about it, your body will get them if you're growing...

you can help prevent by keeping really hydrated (helps your skin)
you can exfoliate (using a luffa type sponge, but don't go overboard)

My pregnant friend swears by this cream: [Mama Mio Goodbye Stretch Marks] (http://www.amazon.com/Mama-Mio-Goodbye-Stretch-Marks/dp/B0013T7QE0)

And once you're done you can get them professionally removed but that will take big bucks!

sorry to not bear better news, and good luck!!!

u/katiegetsfit · 2 pointsr/loseit

I like cocoa butter lotion that has a pregnant lady on the front. Says it is good for stretch marks. I keep it in my cabinet so no one sees the label.

Anything with cocoa butter, Shea butter, or jojoba is good. One caveat is that some lotion has alcohol in it, which will actually dry out your skin more (I know, right). For that reason, many use straight coconut oil or cocoa butter Whenever I use coconut oil, it gets everywhere.

The Palmer's I use isn't perfect, but it's easy to use. Lotion is no good sitting in the bottle. Find something you like and can commit to using every day.

u/starry_knights · 2 pointsr/pregnant

I mentioned this on a similar thread the other day,but here is a link to the product too! I was obsessed with slathering this on my belly every morning after my shower and at night before bed. It feels great, has only a very very light fragrance, and I have zero stretch marks. I also used the sugar scrub from bath and body works daily in the shower (comes in a variety of scents, also runs about $15). The sugar scrub was originally a gift from a friend who had also used it during her pregnancy but the honey butter I found on my own and will definitely give to pregnant friends in the future!

My list isn't too weird, probably bio oil would be my weirdest. I hate makeup remover because I always end up burning my eyes, so I started using jojoba oil (which I already had for my piercings) and it's like magic! It takes anything an everything off while still being very easy on the skin and not breaking me out. I wanted to try out bio oil because I've heard it does the same but has the extra benefit of visible scar reduction.

We all know interspecies romance is weird

edit: Bonus non-makeup item: Dippin Dots they're just so yummy and I was surprised to see them on amazon so I had to add them :D

u/legowife · 3 pointsr/BabyBumps

FTM at 25 weeks, so take this as you will, but I've been using a combo of Palmer's Oil and Motherlove Pregnant Belly Oil (this one is less expensive in my local natural store). Between that and making sure my water intake is great, I have no stretch marks so far!

I liked oil better than any creams I tried. It feels like in sinks into my skin better and leaves me feeling less sticky overall. I hate lotions that never quite feel like they settle so that when you touch skin to skin it's all slick and gross.

u/raptoresque · 3 pointsr/beyondthebump

I had both for both postpartum times I've been through.

After my first, I mainly used tucks layered over pads, and earth mama bottom spray.

After my second, I mainly used Depends and I was given a bottle of Belly Bliss Niperi Wash and WOW I'll be buying that for any baby shower I ever go to after this. That stuff helped immensely with my tear, but it also can be used on your nipples, and I ended up not even needing to use any sort of nipple cream or salve as long as I used that spray at least every other nursing session, and by a week postpartum I only needed it for my nipples very rarely if baby had stayed latched an especially long time. The second time I couldn't get the Earth Mama bottom spray in time and I didn't know yet if I'd like the Niperi Spray, so I got Earth Mama Postpartum Bath Herbs and I ended up really liking that for sitz baths, and I also would sometimes steep the herbs in a bowl and use the liquid in peri bottles as a rinse/spray.

u/cat_power · 7 pointsr/progresspics

I’ve used Bio Oil and cocoa butter on the ones on my thighs and it seemed to help quite a bit! It’ll also just take some time as well. Glad you’re better and on different, healthier path now!

u/[deleted] · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

The word sehnsucht is a German word. Roughly translated, it means intensely missing. It is difficult to translate... It is the combination of two words das Sehnen which means longing or yearning and die Sucht which means addiction. Then I just threw a u on the front for fun. (and because sehnsucht was taken)

Currently, the item I want the most on my list is this because doesn't it just look amazing? (It does to me at least)

I must have it! :) Thanks for the contest!

u/mother_of_ferrets · 0 pointsr/BabyBumps

I'm prone to them. I got them when I was a kid and would go through rapid growth spurts (I'm tall). So, I thought for sure I'd be adding more with pregnancy. But, I tried to prevent them anyway through lots of praying and using this -

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000IHGVFI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_Oep6BbZCMCMFH

It worked! Even with a big baby, I didn't get any new stretch marks. I can't say for sure that the oil is what helped, maybe it was all the praying that helped too.

u/judithpriest · 2 pointsr/BabyBumps

Tummy honey http://www.amazon.com/Bella-Tummy-Honey-Butter/dp/B0007V6PK6
Best stuff ever.. yes stretch marks are genetic and with this stuff i didnt get even one.. seriously :)

u/MaddieEms · 3 pointsr/AsianBeauty

Not Asian, but Mustela Double-Action for Stretch marks REALLLLY worked for myself, my cousin (who lives in Taiwan and was the one to recommend this to me) and my SIL. I wouldn't say that I don't have stretch marks, but this thing seriously did wonders for all of us.

Not sure where you live but it used to be hard to find, but now easy on Amazon and Target as well.

u/SylphSeven · 2 pointsr/pregnant

If you mean around your belly, my doctor recommended to use Palmer's Cocoa Butter Lotion for Stretch Marks.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Massage Lotion For Stretch Marks and Pregnancy Skin Care, 8.5 Oz. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0010ED5FC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_2B1PCbBFHW2WW

It's supposed to soothe the itchiness that is caused from stretching. Also, to drink lots of water. Aside from that, there's not much. 🤔

u/Bludger1103 · 4 pointsr/BabyBumps

I've never personally ordered, but I did see trimester boxes on Amazon that were reasonably priced and available on prime (free, fast shipping!)

They're inevitable for once skinny-bros who have bulked at a decent rate. I've got them in my arm pits from my chest/shoulders and arms growing. They start off red then slowly fade to pink then just become silver/white.

Bio oil is supposed to be great for stretch marks. I've used it and it's helped fade them.

This stuff is amazing (warning: menthol. It feels and smells like your butt had a mint 😂):

Earth Mama Organic Perineal Balm for Pregnancy and Postpartum, 2 Fluid Ounce https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000EIC2UY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_FAypDbHEJ79PC

u/demrabbits · 2 pointsr/bodybuilding

Some practical info here:

In general, get a moisturizer with coconut oil and apply daily. If you're blasting or know you're going to get them it's an absolute must. Proper moisturization is really the only prevantative step you can take

In regards to treatment after, look into buying Mederma Stretch Mark Therapy Cream and a microneedle roller. You won't be able to make the marks smaller, but you can get the pigmentation back to your natural skin color very quickly and make them less noticeable.

u/AggressiveCunt · 2 pointsr/malegrooming

its a known product something like palmers

theres also sudocrem

u/Ameradian · 6 pointsr/BabyBumps

I found that incontinent pads soaked with witch hazel and then frozen really helped to heal me up quickly.

Also, here are some products I found on Amazon that can help with perineal healing.

u/tenhotuisku · 3 pointsr/funny

http://www.amazon.com/Bella-Tummy-Honey-Butter/dp/B0007V6PK6

Even the "tummy butter" she used from the original post is still in my browser history.

u/olivertheshark · 1 pointr/Septemberbumpers2017

I think this is it:

Organic Belly Balm 3.65 oz (102 grams) Balm https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JB8VN4E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_e8QEzb2589NYB

It's a small jar and it's kind of greasy. Like it's meant to sit on top of your skin, I think (vs be completely absorbed). I use it in the morning so I'm not rubbing it all over my sheets all night.

u/SaebraK · 7 pointsr/tall

If you have stretchmarks it's already too late. They're like scars, they'll fade over time but never totally go away.

You can try lotions, but they're really meant to be used before the marks happen. Ladies will start using it when they find out their pregnant, not after marks appear.

u/Cytosine · 1 pointr/Fitness

I don't recall it being too bad. I think I got 150 g of it for ~$12 at the beginning of the summer. I'm not even close to being done the tube and I use it on my arms and hips.

(I used to be pretty fat)

EDIT: Derp, must have been on sale. That's expensive.

It was this stuff. It doesn't smell great but I didn't know it smelled that bad...

u/redditplacenta · 3 pointsr/BabyBumps

You can DIY your own by growing/wildcrafting/buying your own bulk herbs, or buy one of these pre-mixed options.

http://www.lusaorganics.com/postpartum-herbs-birth-healing-comfrey-calendula-p/ppherbs.htm

http://www.amazon.com/Earth-Mama-Angel-Baby-Postpartum/dp/B005CGQSHQ

If you're birthing at home, have your midwife/doula/mom/etc. bring a big spaghetti pot of water to a boil. Once it's boiled, turned off the heat and dump in a cup or two of the herbal mix, and let it steep until a majority of the herbs sink to the bottom of the pot. Strain it and you're ready to go! You can add some to your peri rinse bottle, dip some pads in it for herbal pad-cicles/ice packs, and use any left over to soak in the tub after a day or so postpartum. If you're planning a hospital birth, you can always cook this up ahead of time and bring some in your birth bag.

I have big scars in my face and the best treatment in my opinion is simple bio oil. Just smear that oil on a couple of times a day and keep away from the sun (spf 50 or keep a patch on it). It was an old boxer i know who said that he always used that oil for his scars and cuts in his face :). My scar is barely noticeable even tho its around 5 cm, no discolouring or such.
