This isn't really the right thread to discuss this at any length. My recommendation would be to read one of these books: 'Truth For Germany' (pdf); The War That Had Many Fathers; and/or Hitler's Revolution.

Well, the Nazis were trying to make peace from right after Poland until at least 1941. In the late 30's, Poland was being played behind the scenes, promised expanded territories if they could get a war going. Hitler didn't want war with the West. You really need to understand the cold war dynamic in Europe in the 30's, and the diplomatic history to properly understand WWII.
