You can just buy digital psn cards from Amazon US. They send you the code via e-mail or you can see it on your Amazon account.

PSN might reject your credit card if it's foreign. If it does, you might be able to get around it by creating a US PayPal account & inputting a random US address as your "residence", but make sure the billing address is correct & uses your Russia address. Otherwise, you can buy PSN gift cards from Amazon US, just again pretend like you're located in the US. You'll have excess credit if you go the gift card route, though.

Get digital codes from amazon. Just create an amazon account with a US address and you just get the code in an e-mail. The first purchase might take a while to process though while they verify your card and stuff.

The PSN transaction servers have been giving me trouble for over a month now. I'd recommend buying PSN credit on Amazon and buying your games while they're still on sale.

I have seen this and think that it's an issue with the payment method. The way that I got around it was buying a PlayStation Gift Card Digital Code from Amazon, which then let me put the money into my wallet.

As others have said you can freely share content (games and DLCs, not avatars however) between two accounts on the same ps3 machine. If you open a US sony account you'l just need to enter a fake US address, however if you want to buy digital downloaded games you will not be able to use your visa card - which I assume is tied to your real UK address - and also paypal for the same reason.

The easy solution is to simply buy prepaid cards for the US PSN and charge your account. The cheapest one are at Amazon (.com, not co.uk!) since they don't chrage you extra price (a 10$ card will cost you only 10$).
However, do make sure your amazon.com account has a fake US shipping address, otherwise you won't be able to buy any games from there (the fake address won't bother you since you buy digital stuff and not physical items that are actually shipped to that address).

I recommend Tales of Hearts R. I really enjoyed that game, although it was my first Tales Of game. Simple, but interesting story, and I loved the characters.

Hello, sir/madam gifter. As a 24yo English (major) student, my tastes are being shaped by literature and other studies, such as my own research on Japanese to English localization and translation, so modern games like military shooters, multiplayer arena stuff and so on and so forth are not really appealing to me anymore. It's hard to find a game that draws my attention as hard as the Ys series can do.

I've been looking to buy/start this series for a long time since most games are available for my PS Vita, but I can never find deals at the appropriate time. I just recently got a job, but I've been saving to get married (hopefully soon) and I had to dedicate my spare money to buy some clothes and keep on par with my current profession's standards (EFL teacher).

For instance, Ys Origin is currently on sale for 11,99 for the Vita (crossbuy with the PS4), but I imagine that this "I & II" compilation would be a better place to start the series. I don't mind ^allegedly outdated graphics and gameplay if the story is great, and as far as I researched it this game's story is amazing.

I would use this gift as a starting point to the series and then eventually, after beating this first two games, purchase the next game (probably following release date order, or the "story" order I heard about).

It's mostly principle with me too. They need to be more coherent with how they manage sales. I am really disappointed at how Koei Tecmo have been handling DOA6 ever since its announcement. This is mess you've found yourself into is their fault too but it's quite niche and region specific, so not many people here and on other forums would have had to deal with it, much less understand what is going on. I'll explain as best I can.

Note on PLAS

PLAS is indeed the prefix for Asian physicals and should work with most Asian region PSN accounts but the truth is more complicated than that. PLAS does not only include regions like Hong Kong, Taiwan, and South Korea but also South East Asia (SEA) and more often than people realize, not all PLAS games are available on all non-Japan Asian PSNs. Using an "Asian" PSN account does not guarantee access to compatible DLCs for PLAS physicals.

Regarding actual regions of DOA6 clients

Forget about the codes for physical copies for now, let's look at the actual client region of DOA6 based on PSN codes. There are 3 regions in total with the following prefixes:

• JP0106-CUSA11472 (Japan/Asia), JP0106-CUSA12040 (Core Fighters)
  
• UP4108-CUSA12153 (US/Americas), UP4108-CUSA12152 (Core Fighters)
  
• EP4108-CUSA12116 (Europe), EP4108-CUSA12117 (Core Fighters)
  
  The sections in BOLD are the main identifier codes for the client's "version/model". At this point you might have already connect some dots based the folder name of the save files I asked you to look up.
  
  

  Koei Tecmo's/PSN's stupid decisions
  

  It was somehow decided that some Non-Japan Asian regions will get both the Japan and US versions of DOA6 and the distribution will be super retarded.
  
  PLAS-10362 physicals (the physical version that you've got) are printed in Taiwan, distribute locally along with and in some other Asian regions, like SEA. These regions also distribute PLJM-16352 and possibly other sub region specific codes like for South Korea (I don't know the code).
  
  The first catch is that PLAS-10362 is actually exactly the same as the US physical and contains the US version of the client (UP4108-CUSA12153), the only differences being the labels and maybe the manufacturing locations.
  
  The second catch is that although PLAS-10362 is distributed in some Asian regions, some of the PSN stores in those regions do not have the US version of the game (UP4108-CUSA12153) and its DLCs, therefore do not support DLCs for PLAS-10362. Some of these regions are Hong Kong, South Korea, and Taiwan. For Taiwan, it is especially ironic because they are the one who publishes PLAS-10362, yet their own PSN doesn't support it.
  
  SEA regions have both Japan (JP0106-CUSA11472) and US (UP4108-CUSA12153) versions of the client on PSN, as well as the DLCs for both. That is not necessary a good thing though because the Japan version is superior due to having the option for individual costumes DLC purchases, since the two versions have the same language options, having both is redundant and only serves to confuse people.

1. Return/refund that copy of PLAS-10362 or cut your losses. If you still want a physical copy, find a copy of PLJM-16352 (contains JP0106-CUSA11472 client) or otherwise other Non-English label region specific equivalence (for example the Korean version, I don't know the codes). Alternatively, buy directly from PSN on your Hong Kong PSN account for the most fail-safe option for DLC compatibility.
   
   
2. Contact PSN support to refund Nyotengu on your Hong Kong PSN account or cut your losses. Make a US PSN account and set your PS4 as its primary (you can have multiple primary PSN accounts on one console but a PSN account can only have one primary console). PLAS-10362 should work with DLCs bought on the US account. As long as you have your PS4 set as the US account's primary, you can use your Hong Kong account to play and access DLCs bought on the US account. If you do not have a US payment method for buying DLCs, buy digital gift codes from US Amazon, they accept foreign credit cards.

   If possible, pick the first option. Everyone who has the US or EU versions of the the game on PS4 are hoping that Koei Tecmo will come to their senses and add individual costume DLC purchases for US and EU, but there is no guarantee that will ever happen. Thus, it's better safe than sorry to get the Japan version if it's already a readily accessible option anyway.

No idea, but you can try Sony's web store and see if it works that way. You may have to use a proxy or have your sister do it from the US, but from my experience it works pretty well. I'm not buying TLoU digitally so I can't say for sure if it's a common problem, but I hope that helps.

PSN has ALWAYS had errors when adding funds or using credit cards. I've had the same card, with the same info on there for years and it works sometimes, and sometimes the info is suddenly incorrect. It got so damn annoying that I stopped buying shit. Until someone on the ps3 subreddit mentioned you can buy cards to add to your wallet instantly on amazon.

Just one of these. I made an Amazon US account with a fake address, just don't buy anything that needs physical shipping. The link above is for a digital code which gets emailed to you within a couple hours generally. First time I went to enter the code on the PlayStation store on the console it wouldn't accept the code, so I just went on the website on my phone and redeemed the voucher code there and it worked perfectly. Was always something I was nervous about doing, but it's actually works really well. I managed to get games for ~$10 nzd on the us store that were $25+ on NZ store. It's definitely worth it.

If you were able to buy the US version of the game with a credit card then Fifa Points should be fine to be bought too. However what I do just as a precaution is not purchase the game with a credit card as the billing address is wrong and Xbox has rules against it (even though I know they hardly enforce it), I went to Amazon.com and just bought US dollar XBOX/PSN gift cards, and then redeem and use those to buy the points.
