I don't know if the perfect planner like this exists. I think you have to get creative to get what works for you. Honestly, I use two:
-- An academic planner (i'm on a 4x4 block with two preps, I know they do other configurations). I write what each prep is doing per box on the left side and the right collects other important school things and thoughts.
Honestly, my pages look like a goddamn mess (this was during testing season...) to other people but it makes sense to me.
-- A Moleskine where I do a "weekly spread" with a two-page spread for each day. Rough daily schedule on the left side with space to adjust, right side has notes and to-dos.
Altogether it's like $35 which is way, way cheaper than other planners.
