There are a lot of card reader/external interfaces, at least they made a lot back a few years ago. You'd normally put them in the optical drive or floppy drive bays.

would be a good start. As for buttons and such, I made my own with a simple bat switch (I also placed a guard over it, so it's like a launching a missile when I turn it on). As long as you wire it up the motherboard at the right pins you'll be fine using any type of switch.
