Everyone's just recommending Rodinal, but no one's asking why you're interested in developing this way.

Personally, I plan on trying it pretty soon. We might even do an "alternative development" subreddit contest at some point. I have a bottle of Rodinal at home, but I want to try this because I like to experiment, not because of cost or convenience. :-)

Anyway, if you're doing it for fun, check out Caffenol.org; it hasn't been updated in a while, but it has some good information in there.
