I just finished A Red Sun Also Rises by Mark Hodder, and I used it for the Disabled Character square.
It's a 2012 volume, and doesn't seem to be currently in print. But amazon is selling a paperback version for really low prices. Probably remainders.
It's a steampunk novel with some fun urban features. First person narration, stand-alone, a little romance (but nothing excessive). One villain has a desire for interplanetary conquest, but they don't really think it through that well. It's also shorter; the version I read was only 271 pages.
It's a really fun, unabashedly weird novel that didn't get enough love when it first came out.
