You could look at the implied growth rate of a stock

Stephen Penman's Accounting for Value has a good overview.

Investment Banking is a good text for getting a good DCF model down pat. But there are other ways to model cashflows for valuation purposes besides the standard 10 year DCF + TV.

Once you go through the IB book, and assuming you're comfortable with it, I was consider this to be the gold standard to valuation purposes. REALLY great book. And if it's a bit over your head, the author has a tl;dr version. Just be aware that the text will take some serious time to go through, but completely worthwhile. Went through it when it first came out in 2012, still reference my notes on it.

Great pick on Penman's text!

If you find yourself wanting a more concise run through, Penman's Accounting for Value is excellent as well and much shorter.
