There is exactly ONE refurbished c740 4GB available at amazon. The celeron clocks a similar octane score as the i3 c720 and has the same expandable SSD and solid battery life. I was a devout c720er and tried a bunch of things in between before settling back on the c740. If you're willing to ditch windows, chromebooks are absolutely the way to go for the productive college student. This is personal experience speaking. Youll get better performance for the dollar by not paying the windows tax, and you can easily install linux on them in case you need to use something that wont run on Chrome OS. And they last all day on a single charge. I've pushed mine to almost 15 hours on minimum brightness.
You said 13 inch but i recommend looking at an 11.6 incher. This one in particular I'd order right away before someone else does. Smaller screen size means less screen to power and more battery, and lighter to carry, and its just cheaper. Not like its your main PC like you said. And it has 4GB of RAM. Gogo my friend, snatch this one up.
